NB200-13F - screen sometimes does not turn on

Hello

I have my little NB200 for 10 months and everything works fine until the other day.

I never turn off the computer, I use to close and suspend. The other day the battery was empty and the computer were suspended, so I connect the AC to the computer and everything seems everything except for the screen is not enabled.

I restart the computer and the screen didn t turn on even at the beginning with the bios test. I have connected and monitor external and everything is OK, I can see everything but the screen of the laptop continues black.
After an hour or two to use the external monitor, the laptop screen lights up and all is well again.

I thought that the problem could be something of a problem with the driver so I picked by default indicate my computer.

5 days ago the problem reappears. The computer had the empty battery, and he was suspended. I connect to the AC and I so wait an hour o and coming again, but this time, even with the connected AC, after 15 minutes of no use, the screen goes black (as I have it configured) but never turn on. I have to wait again.

Please I need help because I thought that the problem could be on the screen. The connection to the screen seems well because if I move the screen does not go on and outside.

What could I do?

Thank you very much

Hi jenriquegb,

To be honest it is difficult to say something, but I think it must be a hardware malfunction, if you got Windows to factory settings
Either it's a FL inverter malfunction or internal display itself theoretically it could be caused from motherboard

In my opinion, you should contact an authorized service provider. Guys can check your laptop and make a diagnosis if your laptop is under warranty, the repair is free. :)

  • iPhone 5 s screen sometimes does not respond to touch

I bought for almost a month, there is however a problem annoying me lately.

As a first step, the screen did not touch once per day.

A few days later, this problem happened all too often that I just couldn't ignore it more.

Fortunately, I found the way to resolve is to turn off the screen and then turn it on (not reboot the phone), so the screen can work again.

Just as I was about to return to drag it to the screen, the problem of the screen does not appeared immediately, and that just happened to me when you type these words... so I could only repeat these steps once more. I must say that is rarely the case, most of the time, I only need to do this once.

I would like to ask if anyone knows how to fix this bug (maybe?) completely

Thank you and sorry for my bad English ^ ^ |

To make sure that it is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any data backup later. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the screen.

If the screen is working again, restore the last backup. If the problem returns, the data backup contains damaged data, causing your issues.

If it still does not respond, it is a hardware problem and the phone must be repaired by Apple or an Apple authorized Service Provider:

  • Classic BlackBerry sliding down from the top of the screen sometimes does not

I now use the classic BB for several weeks and used the front Q10. In addition, I use the Z30 for business.

Z30 and Q10 everthing works fine.

But on the classic when I try to slide down from the top of the screen, in:

    -Calendar

    -Contacts

-Clock (especially when trying to slide back down to finish the night mode)

    - and mybe some other applications

the menu does not open. I have to make several attempts and sometimes it does that when I drag to the bottom of the upper left corner. Q10 and Z30 it does not matter where to place my finger to slide down.

    It works instantly.

The tht to main menu, you can join the works of the homescreen with no problems.

Have you experienced the same thing? What is your recommendation? I'll trade the HW?

    Thanks for your advice

    Alex

There is a solution for this. When you're in contacts, calendar or alarm clock, press in and hold the Menu button for a second or two, it will have the same effect as sliding down.

I try to avoid slipping to the extent possible, so I always use the Menu key to bring up the Menus and options.

Some power management features do not work after a bios update (5.90).
The display brightness can be changed in the power manager, or the top menu system. In the power manager, the cursor can be moved, but the brightness is not set. Toshiba menu system appears to hang on trying to change the brightness with F6 - F7 and won't move the cursor.

In addition, the screen does not turn off after the set amount of minutes in the power manager.

What is going on? How can this be repaired?

    Hello

Some questions; Why you have updated the BIOS?
Are you sure you used the right BIOS?

In my opinion you shouldn't t to update anything if the laptop works properly!

However, try to access the BIOS, set the default settings and save the settings before exiting the BIOS.
If this does not help, I would pick up the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery CD.

  • Spectrum X 360: New spectrum X 360 does not turn the screen into tablet mode

My spectrum is only two weeks old and works wonderfully as a standard notebook computer.

However, I cannot get screen to turn when I select tablet mode or Flip on the stand of entertainment.

All the research online, I can find are people who used Win 8.1 and is updated to Win 10.

Mine came with Win 10 pre-installed.

None of the screens settings they advise to go to exist.

I also checked the registry and its game properly.

Windows 10 made the anniversary update a few days in me starts to use it so I don't know WHETHER or not the rotation number was there from the beginning.

I solved my problem re. the screen does not turn in tablet mode.

Yesterday, I installed HP Support Assistant in the hope, he suggests a solution.

It didn't at the time, but it made me on this forum where I see that many others had similar problems.

Today, when I turned on my laptop I noticed that support Assistant has a list of available updates.

the first who has updated automatically has been updated for HP Notebook System Bios (Intel processors) which, after installation and reboot I had not really noticed any difference.

Among the list of updates has been 'Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Drivers'

Because I couldn't find any menition of sensors in my device manager, I installed it.

Now I have the "Lock Rotation of this view" option may be greyed out there but at least now it.

Still no spin so I started to double check every thing once again and found that I had a new entry in the registry... Sensor

    present.

However Enable is set to 0 instead of 1

I changed the 0 to 1 and here I rotation.

However the only question now is the Rotation options buttons are greyed out, but I still can auto rotate when I flip to the tent, entatainment or tablet mode.

At least, that my X 360 so that its name and what I bought it for.

Fact my research I love the lack of rotation is not a specific HP problem but a problem of Windows 10.

If other problems persist, try to reduce your search settings to fail to win 10 to rotaate, you will see a lot more information out there.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me. I hope that my message will help someone else.

  • Light (switch) on my screen does not turn off. I have to shut my computer down several times a day to turn off the monitor.

Light (switch) on my screen does not turn off.  So, I shut down my computer and restart several times a day, because when I put it in mode 'sleep', he wakes to the top in a few minutes and will not fall asleep.  I could put a blanket on my screen when not in use, but I'd rather find a way to make it stay asleep when I tell him.

Light (switch) had already done once before and I was so worried that once I turned off the monitor that I would never get it new on... a bit short of money here, to buy a new monitor, but the next day, I pressed the power button with an additional downward pressure and I could so he could start working again (able to turn the market monitor).  It was about 3 weeks ago.  Now, the light stays green, unless I stop the whole computer.

Maybe my main problem is sleep mode, which removes the screen for like 2 minutes and then he wakes up to the top and is so rude when I myself and try to sleep, I just turn off the monitor everytime I put the computer to sleep.

Now, I can't turn off the monitor, except by turning off the computer.

  • BlackBerry screen Smartphones Torch 9850 does not turn

    Hello

I got a new Blackberry Torch 9850 and noticed that the screen does not turn when the phone is held to the side. Compass calibrate as well.

I have updated to the most recent software available - 7.1 Bundle 1737 (v7.1.0.580, platform 5.1.0.429).

Did not help at all. However, I accidentally found that the screen turn to a landscape position if the phone is quite strongly shaken. So that means accelerometer should work somehow, simply not properly.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

    Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

You will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient and you may need to try a few variations of what shows the KB. When properly in Safe Mode, see if the behaviour persists (I suspect it will, but it's worth the test). If so, then go back to your place of purchase or warranty provider that something is wrong at the hardware level, for which no amount of software, OS, or Internet-remote diagnosis can help.

If the behavior does not persist in Mode without failure, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

Good luck and let us know!

  • L50D-B-146 satellite does not turn

    Hello

I have a problem with my L50D-B-146 turns is not on. Very rarely, when I try to turn it on it works. Once I managed to turn on I tried to upgrade the Bios to 1.6 1.2, but you must restart your computer to complete the installation I couldn't because it does not turn on 99% of the time. The laptop didn't work before I tried upgrading the Bios is not the fault of the installation to fail. Also when I get to turn Windows works perfectly fine, until I have to turn it off again.

When I try to turn it on the power button light works and you can hear the fan, otherwise you may not even see the screen Toshiba Leading Innovation, so I don't think it's the fault of the window. I repeat again once you can activate from time to time, but very rarely. Also it is not the fault of the monitor that I connected the laptop to an external display, and again, there was a problem.

I would be very grateful for any solution to this problem

    The solution to this problem?
I don't know if anyone here can offer virtual diagnosis and offer the working solution.
When the machine works sometimes such a problem is not easy to understand. Such behavior of the laptop must be analyzed and may be tested with diagnostic tools.

What we do here, it's just to speculate at what may be the problem. Looks like the BIOS related issue. For some reason, from time to time your machine cannot pass the BIOS checking the material.

Have you already contacted Toshiba services and asked for help?

  • Portege M400: screen saver does not work

    Hi all

like many of you, I think, I need the screen saver protected by start-up automatically when I let my M400 unattended for some time.
Everything works fine if the bluetooth is introduced to the wide. Otherwise... the screen saver does not start automatically.

Site Microsoft learns something about the problems related to (Microsoft mouse) wireless devices that do not allow the screen saver appears.
The proposed solution is to kill a process called PCMsomething, or download an update windows named KBsomething and install it.

I actually a bluetooth wireless (non-Microsoft) combined with my PC mouse, but no PCMsomething process is executed and, although my mouse is turned off, the screen saver organizers can't work until I turned off the bluetooth of the M400 too. In addition, windows update does not suggest a KBsomething patch to install (maybe because my mouse is not a Microsoft one?).

Any idea to solve my problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    > when I let my M400 unattended for some time.
For this application, Toshiba has designed the FN + F1 feature to lock your laptop.
When you want to leave your laptop using FN + F1 and lock it.

It is a lot easier than this solution with screen saver.

  • Fan of Satellite U500 - 11 c sometimes does not start running Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

I have two Toshiba Satellite U500 - 11 c on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Sometimes, after a new start of Windows, the fans start and just run a few seconds sometimes. When this occurs, the CPU temperature gets very hot (do not know exactly how much). I found a way to return to a behavious normal just unplug the power cable and reconnect it just a second or two after.

Two laptop computers have the latest Bios and drivers of Toshiba. Somehow, it's the same behavious as under Linux.

With these experiences, I just thought that Toshiba laptop are not well properly handle ACPI Fans and tempartures. Is it really inevitable?

I hope that this feedback can help...

    Hi mate

Cooling modules are controlled by the fan which is stored in the BIOS table.
Fan table contains details and information when and how fast a fans should run.

Besides computers laptop Toshiba supports protection against overheating. This protection monitors the temperature, and if the temperature is too high, the laptop turns off automatically.

If the laptop does not turn off automatically then I suppose that the temperature is not too high
