  • What he average when the green light comes on briefly when it is plugged and them goes out?

I just bought the webcam connected and the Green led lights up and then goes away.

    Hi, Lord of the Manor,

EDIT: Seen the following in response, I guess I should have asked, works the webcam otherwise OK?  Is that the only issue that light?  If so, then I would argue that it doesn't really mean anything and it would not be concerned about it.  I assumed, and the rest of this guess, the webcam is not working and it is one of the symptoms.

What is the manufacturer, the brand and model of the webcam?  How did you install it or did you just plug it and expect it to work automatically (maybe it's a plug-and-play USB)?

Are you sure that the webcam is compatible with your version of Vista?  Look at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/default.aspx.

Make sure that the appropriate software/firmware or drivers are installed for the webcam.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  Search for one or more connected to the webcam and confirm that they are operable and functioning properly.  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get those for the webcam to all least, even if Device Manager indicates that they work - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  If there is any software or firmware as well (from the website), make sure that you install that as well in the order defined by the instructions (sometimes the order of the questions includinding if or not it is done while the device is plugged in or not).  The site may also include installation guides and/or the user manuals that can explain the purpose of the light and what it means when it is on or off and how to turn it on if it should be on to operate.  It is very difficult to help without details on the webcam as each works differently.  Actually, I don't even know if that's a mouthful in by USB to firewire or else however.

I think it is unlikely that it came with no software, firmware, or drivers of any kind (mine did).  After plug in and do all the installations are required, go to start / Control Panel and see if there is a new icon for the Webcam and if so, click on it and try to configure it to work with your system by following the instructions.  If not, then click on start / all programs and check if there are no new software installed that associated with the webcam and if so, click it and follow the instructions to set up.

I hope this helps.  If not, post back with detailed information (enough so that we can find the manufacturer and the specific webcam online) on the webcam and we will try to help you further in the establishment knowing that additional information.

    Good luck!

  • Add Device sees wireless but printer is plugged and can reach the HTTP page on wire

I installed my new 8000 Officejet Pro A809 with an ethernet but when I run the Wizard "Add Device" of HP, it trys to install as wireless even though I select wired and the installation fails.

I can see the page http for the printer and it presents information healthy of mind on my printer, so I think that ethernet is currently working.

I am running Windows XP with the FW off. The printer is on the same switch as my PC & of course, I can see the http page

In the wizard, even if I choose ' Wired ' of course the wire works, page "Found network printers" shows that the connection is wireless. None-the-less I click next then a screen appears for "from Network Services" & it rolls well, topology, wireless services, etc., and sending a SLP request the IP address it fails & shows a picture of a wireless signal and a big red X.

HP Home Network Diagnostic Utility says that software to connect to the network printer is missing, BUT I ran the wizard completely if a second time, I chose my camera wasn't online and it ended up OK. I ran the UPDATE of the utility & he did an update to security; I have rand again and he found none.

Although my FW is off, I checked the ports that the FW Guide are necessary:

I can telenet to the printer on port 9100 & 92200

I can not telnet on port 137 139 or 427

    Ideas?
    Thank you!

    Larry Holt

OK, plug the printer Ethernet cable must turn off wireless radio printer, but in the cases where it does not, click the button to light blue (or go to settings > network > turn off wireless on the front panel).

Now, you don't have to bother with the add devices Wizard, we will just add it manually:

Verify that you can access the web page internal to the printer by its IP address.  If you can not, disable firewall for your security system (not the Windows Firewall, it is usually not in the way).

    1. click on the 'Start' button--> printers and fax machines.
    2. under print jobs, click on "add a printer".
    3. click on 'Next' on the Add Printer Wizard window.
    4. Select "local printer attached to this computer. Deselect "automatically detect and install my Plug and play printer." Click "next".
5 under, select a Printer Port option, select "Create a new port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "Next".
    6. in the "Welcome to the Add Standard TCP/IP printer port Wizard" make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the same network that your computer is connected to. click on the button "next".
    7. under "Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" enter the IP address of the printer. Click 'Next' and then click 'Finish '.
    8. now select HP in the manufacturers list, select your printer in the list of the models of printers and click the button "next".
    9. If you can't find your printer, you will need to find the installation CD and use the 'Disc' option to select one of the files hp*.ini. You can also select another model of the same type HP printer.
    10. Add the name of print spooler, and then click "next".
    11. click on "next".
    12. click on "Next" and "Finish."

  • Windows 7 printer and HP1120c using gigaware usb, a parallel printer cable is not recognized by plug-and-play

I can't get my printer recognized by plug-and-play.  I have installed a printer manually, but still can not get to work.  All boards

    Hello Kirk,

I'm not sure what you mean by "manually installed", but you need a print driver for the printer recognized by Windows. Go to this page to download the driver you need for whatever version of Windows you have: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=14497&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=25522&prodTypeId=18972&lang=en&cc=us .

Once you have downloaded the right print driver, I let the computer do the installation.  NOTE: you may need to completely uninstall what you've done "manually" so that the correct driver is working correctly. See the HP Web site for more information (I'd do it, but I do not know what operating system you have and its depth of Bit (32 or 64)).

Post here if you need further instructions or assistance (be sure to include your OS and Bit depth). Let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

  • The plug-and-play USB mouse will not work on Satellite A100

I have a laptop Satellite A100 laptop and when I try to install a plug and play mouse windows says it is not recognized - unknown device.

    Please help the mouse works.

    Thank you very much

    Hello Jayne

It will be really interesting to know where you're trying to connect the USB mouse. Can you send description of mouse models please?

As I know it is not necessary to install a driver for external USB mouse and mouse is usually recognized automatically. Please check if a driver installation is needed, and even request delivered must be preinstalled.

  • HARD drive external, Toshiba PX1395E, not plug and play in Windows XP

    Hi all

    Thanks for reading this.

Just bought a number of HDD 2.0 USB 750 GB external PX1395E.
I want to use to back up files from my old computer to my new computer.
In fact, my old pc recognizes the HARD drive (plug-and-play) and I already copied the required data.

BUT: my new computer, with Windows XP Professional, Service pack 3. Does NOT recognize the HARD drive.
I used several (versions 1.1 and 2.0) USB ports and everything is connected to the way that it should.
Windows tells me that I have plugged 'something', but is unable to recognize what it is and I can't use the material.

I think I need a driver to make this work. Site Web de Toshiba does not provide this particular driver (I checked, but it cannot find).

Is there anyone with a solution?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you see the HARD drive in the disk management?
Control Panel-administrative tools-online-online disk management computer management online

Another way is that reinstall you the chipset driver. Look at the Toshiba site to download and choose the right one.

Look for yellow exclamation marks Device Manager.

Let me know, what you're doing.

  • Re: NB200 - automatic plug-and-play for Ethernet cable

Do you know why I don't have automatic plug-and-play, when I connect to internet ethernet cable on my NB200?

    Hey mate,

    Automatic configuration tell you exactly?

Normally, nothing is plug-and-play. If you want an Internet connection via Ethernet cable, you must configure this port. This means you need to set a static IP or DHCP.

  • Satellite A100 and Plug-and-play devices

I have a Satellite A100 with Windows Vista Home Premium. This is the second time I try to install a plug-and-play device, but the computer asks me the driver without finding her.
The first time I tried to install an external hard drive (Packard Bell store and save) and the second time I tried with a modem that works with Mobile SIM cards.

The modem is designed to work with Vista, my computer can recognize the model, but he finds no driver, so I can't use it. I'm sure that the two devices work properly because I use them on my desktop which has Windows as an operating system.

    Can you help me please?
    Thank you

    Hello

Do you really think that Vista has obtained all the necessary drivers? I mean, you will need to install the driver files when Vista could not find anything. That's just logic and no mistake. It s more a mistake of thinking. :)

So, go on the Web site of the manufacturer of your hardware "plug-n-play", download the drivers for Vista, install them and be happy with "plug-n-play" when you attach your devices.

    Welcome them

  • EliteBook 8540p: is the engraver of DVD 595759-001 for Elitebook 8540p plug-and-play

I have a DVD ROM drive, only in my 8540p here, and I just ordered a DVD (595759-001) burner to replace it with. Just install the hardware? Is this going to be a plug-and-play experience, or I need to find drivers for the replacement? Do I need to uninstall the driver for the original DVD ROM?

    Hello

The driver for any optical drive is provided by Windows, then you should just connect the new device, but it can sometimes avoid problems by doing this as follows.

Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.  Expand the DVD/CD = ROM readers, made existing right click the device and choose uninstall.

Once completed, stop the laptop and made the new optical drive.

When you start Windows, then, give it a few minutes to load completely and you should find the new drive is running.

  • Automatic (programmatically) and manual break summary by before Panel button

Hi, I'm trying to implement a system which measures the voltage and current for a source variable voltage at variable temperature. The program acquires 5 pairs of voltage and current data. The problem here is that the source voltage is changed by manually changing the value of the variable resistor. What I want to do, it's somehow pause program automatically once the loop (to acquire 5 V and I data pairs) is over. Then, after the user changes the value of the variable resistor (and manually enters the new value through an indicator on front panel), the user must be able to return to the program through a button on front of as in this example: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-10792

Is it possible to implement this in LabView?

In summary: I would like to set up a system in which the program would pause automatically after a condition has been fulfilled and can be picked up by a button on the front panel.

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions. I hope I've clarified my request. I don't know if attaching the program would help, but it is included in the case where

Sam put you on the right track.  You certainly do not need while loops inside while loops.

You can accomplish what you want to do with a while loop, a structure of matter and structure of the event.  The while loop is the external structure of most.  Inside it, you have the structure case controlling the State in which you are.  Inside of a State, you have a structure of the event.  The structure of the event will want to have an event for the stop button and the Start button, but also a timeout.  You'll want to browse your measurements with the help of a State, or of States according to the duration of your measure.

It should be relatively easy to pick up.

    F38urry,

Good summary of the gsm bands. I picked up one unlocked Rokr E6 years for my trips abroad.

Initially only three of the four strips were available (enabled).

A quick trip to the Internet, explained the procedure to activate the fourth band as well as additional options "improvements" on this phone.

As mentioned earlier, I am quite willing to move to an android phone that will allow me to combine my needs national and international phone.

I noticed the reference to two bands gsm in the Bionic thus pdf.

It is a surprising limitation in comparison with other global phones like the droid and the incredible 2 3.

I travel to some places weird and want (need?) to the coverage offered by a four dual band phone.

The guidelines is interesting for its flexibility (other countries), but it seems more expensive (per minute) than the use of the individual sim for each specific country/region (Europe).

It allows you to keep the same number from one country to the other?
