Need RECEIVER for wireless & mouse keyboard?

I bought a 'model wireless Comfort keyboard used with Wireless Optical Mouse model #1008 #1027' a real estate sale.  I didn't know that these devices must also a 'receiver '.  Can you tell me where I might be able to buy just the receiver?

Hi Leeilisa,

Thanks for posting.

Yes, need you a receiver for your Microsoft Comfort keyboard and wireless mouse.

If these do not appear to you when you purchase, you can very well get in touch with the person who sold the devices or may even recall at the same place and ask them if they have the receiver for your devices. Otherwise, you will need to buy another receiver compatible with the model of your keyboard and your mouse in the store of the local computer.

Kind regards

  • Fix for wireless mouse screensaver causing MS fails in Windows 7?

I use a laptop computer Lenovo Ideapad U450p, running windows 7 Home premium.  When I use my Microsoft Wireless notebook optical Mouse-mouse 3000, Mgmt. screen standby and power features do not work.  I saw this issue in other posts, and the fix was for the user to get a wired mouse or bluetooth.  Well, my laptop isn't bluetooth, and I don't want to use a wired mouse.  It's stupid that the Microsoft mouse causes the Microsoft operating system screen saver to fail.  Is there any solution to this?  I already downloaded the latest version of the Microsoft intellimouse software, and it does not solve the problem.  Any advice?

Try the instructions in the following article.

  • HP laptop computer 635: need driver for wireless router

Hello. I had to replace the hard drive of my laptop computer and a new operating system, Windows 7 Pro, after which it cannot connect to the wireless router. It's a router Westell A90-750018-07. I have a Tablet Android working on this particular router and want to download the driver on it and put it on the flash drive to reinstall on my laptop. Is that going to work? Where can I download it? FairPoint is now 14.99 an extra month of me now for a Support technique Premium. They are waiting for me to borrow a laptop to try to help him to do so. They seek to use the android on the phone, but it seemed to complicated with android as a third party. Will this work? Please if someone could help would be great. Thank you.

You need the driver for the card installed in your 635 wireless. Problem is that you will know which card you have Ralink, Realtek or Atheros. The drivers are all posted on your support page:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/readIndex?sp4ts.Oid=5086540&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4059

If you don't know what wireless card, you need to get the id of the hardware in the Device Manager. Right-click the network adapter, choose Proprietes.dans the window that opens click on the Details tab use the selector drop-down menu to choose the hardware id. After the first string of numbers - or at least the first half of the chain.

  • Receiver for wireless controller Xbox 360 to PC does not

I've had my Xbox 360 controller for at least a year now and so far it has been working perfectly. But yesterday, I decided to visit my brother and took my Xbox controller and the receiver with me. I put them in a bag with a controller leads and additional third-party, got in a car to my brother's House. When I got there, we plugged the receiver to the PC, but the receiver does not light. In fact, the computer does even not recognize that a new device has been connected. The next day, I plugged it to my computer for the first time after leaving the House of my brother and it did not work this time either.

    Here is what I tried:

    • I tried all the USB ports available and may conclude that they have nothing to do with the problem. All ports operate as it should.
    • I tried on a total of 3 computers, and none of them recognize be plugged.
    • I uninstalled and reinstalled programs Microsoft Xbox 360 accessories nothing helps.

In addition, my computer does not recognize an unidentified device, but I don't think that it has nothing to do with the problem at hand. I say this because, in an attempt to solve this problem, I thought it was the cause of it and followed guides to fix. None of them worked, but I did one discovered that when I uninstalled the driver and rebooted the computer: at the time of the restart, I didn't have the receiver plugged, but he always found an unidentified aircraft. This leads me to believe that the unidentified device is not the receiver, but something else entirely (I don't know what this could be good). However, I'm not a genius when it comes to computers, so I could be wrong.

As three different computers don't recognize even not be plugged in, I suspect the receiver itself may have been damaged when I put the bag with the controllers and the receiver down in the car and refused to work because of this. However, before you start investing money on two new controllers/receivers/alternatives, I want to ask if there are solutions to the problem.

Hi and thanks for the answer.

However, additional speculation in recent days, I managed to find the problem. I peeked inside the receiver and discovered that, as I expected, some had been damaged which prevents operation of the receiver. Since then, I made some adjustments and got the spare parts and the receiver and the controller now working again.

Nevertheless, thank you for help. In the event of more problems with the controller, I'll be sure to have a look at these links.

    Hi KC973,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

You will not be able to add a wireless keyboard to a 'double Receiver USB' for a wireless mouse. To use the wireless keyboard, you can use the receiver that came with the key board and the receiver double USB mouse will not recognize the wireless keyboard.

  • Replacing the old Standard Wireless Optical Mouse... can new mouse- or even model work with old receiver (mouse/keyboard)?

I have a model 1025 MS Standard Wireless Optical Mouse that has a flashing click function (it often does register any). It is part of a game that uses a keyboard with the same (office-puck-type computer) wireless receiver. I would only replace the mouse with all that is the closest current model (or maybe I can find a refurb or exact same model used, if need be).

QUESTION: The interchangeable receivers for a given model, or that they can be used with only one unit (mouse) specific?

I'm guessing that they refer to the receiver, otherwise with a range of 300 ft, chaos would result in an office full these. But maybe also this "overlay" is insider manually first handshake which is known later. If so, then there's a chance? My mouse: model 1025 p/n X 800127-113

The BIGGEST QUESTION, then maybe: a current 1000 series mouse will work with the receiver old (my model is more made, apparently)? Thank you!

It depends on the frequency that work on the mouse and the base.  I tried to find info on your old mouse and there is nothing available.  I think would be best to simply select a new wireless mouse.  It will come with a wireless receiver dongle that you can plug into a USB port.  I think you'd have a very hard time finding a new mouse that will use the same exact frequency as the old configuration.  If you're short USB ports to plug an extra dongle you can always buy a USB hub for next to no money.
