need to retrieve the vhd to sbs2008 file

Server that crashed have a vhd file I want to recover the server with. Loading tried virtual server 2005 sp1, but only vdmount but he can not find the command. I have the file vhd on a USB key.

Hello MikeZoltek,

I did some digging around and discovered that if you SBS2008 R2, it allows the same functionality as Windows 7 not to mount a VHD file.  You go into management records and actions--> attach VHD.  You will then be able to point to your VHD file.  You can also copy the local hard disk virtual hard disk.

Any support on this should go in the appropriate forums SBS channels.

You can join them at the following link:

  • Need to retrieve the BONES but do not have the habit of losing data on the HARD drive

    Dear all!

    For long time now, I tried to disable a Trojan horse or a worm, on my Windows XP Home (Home!) i.e. get rid of the cftmon_.exe, when I decided to follow the instructions from Symantec and pieces manually deleted from the register, I guess she was part USERINIT (turn off the system before restore and put on after the deletion).

    It can be as well as I did not right, something after the fact that I have would be to end the session at the time the logon process has started. This is relatively known issue here, with different options.

    -J' need to keep the data on two HARD drives.
    -I have no other partitions.
    -I don't know what I've got on one of them, which I could use to free space Recovery Expert mode.

    a. the fact that I want to take the option with Toshiba, which is Expert mode (http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2513&tstart=125) as a last recovery, DVDs on

    b. I have trouble with the installation of the Recovery Console (with Windows XP (Professional!) original CD, 'R' for 'fix), but I would get the message "Setup has not found hard disk units installed in your computer"...
    I understand that I would need to install the driver RAID (http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=20093&messageID=73758) but I'm afraid that this may delete the data on the disc.

    My questions are the following:

    1 install the RAID driver (downloaded from the Toshiba off site web http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/updates/raid-drv/raid-drv-qog20-xp-1380.zip and installed on the floppy drive I guess) so we hope to install the Recovery Console, and do the rest of the work, make data disappear my 2 (remove) HARD drives?

    2. If I use Toshiba Recovery DVD, Expert mode that is finally what is the size of partition should be recorded for the mirror on the half vacuum 1.HDD?, should I partition 2 HDD, after it backup and count data will be lost? Choose any setings special during the process, apart from those mentioned in the link above? What should I do after wards? The registry damaged when you logged in and how can I build? I will be able to use personal and archive data from Microsoft Outlook?

    3. is there a alternative with UBCD4Win and UBCD? What is the best? What is the procedure of after the start of the CD after reboot? How to copy/repair the userinit files?

    I'm sorry for the load of information, but I am pretty stuck. All the necessary data for my normal life are buried here!

    A big thank you JohnnyS, tw, Quad, Eldorado and many others!

    See you soon!

    Hi friend

    I would like to respond on comments like yours, it s a good exercise for my work and my s really cool to have a few topics which will help all the people here.

    JohnnyS is a friend of mine who works with me at our office and we talked a bit about your problem.
    If his opinion is to use the UBCD4Win and work with this option.

    The advice from him were:

    Take a USB - HDD enclosure and put a disk in it and start with UBCD4Win. Copy any important data in a folder on the external HARD drive, then remove the uneeded data on this subject. Only important data!
    Make a backup of your data on the external hard drive for two HDD´s I hope that you have enough free space.

    Format the drive in your machine and get it back. Install the system as usual on your first HARD drive.
    Then put the data anywhere.

    So I don't know if I have it just ask, a little more explanation would be useful. I think that this is a long thread. ;)

    Welcome them

  • Satellite C660 - BIOS Update Failed, need help restore the BIOS. BAK file

    Everything by updating the system BIOS froze in step 7 to replace the code of the BIOS, needless to say that the laptop does not start because the BIOS is now corrupted.

    I have the BIOS. BAK but need advice on how to restore the BIOS. I copied the BIOS. BAK on a key usb and it connected to the laptop computer and then powered on the system (now I tried the F, F2 key together). I can see the usb key will Flash initially but is not, clearly, progressing with the restoration.

    Select ta_acct, shift, created_on track_alerts where created_on = 24 March 14 ';

    Its not data recovery.

    Yes the created data type is date.

    CREATED_ON DATE

    Partha thanks it works now.

    Select ta_acct, shift, created_on in track_alerts where to move is: Shift and TRUNC (created_on) = TO_DATE('24-MAR-2014','DD-MON-YYYY');

    Still, I made a small change to my querry.

    Select ta_acct, shift, created_on track_alerts where to move is: shft and TRUNC (created_on) = TO_DATE (select double sysdate,'MON-DD-YYYY "");

    For this statement, it does not work.

    of course not...

    first: sysdate returns a date so no need of conversion here

    and

    second SYSDATE includes time, so your application should look like this:

    Select ta_acct, shift, created_on in track_alerts where to move is: Shift and TRUNC (created_on) = trunc (sysdate)

    or

    Select ta_acct, shift, created_on in track_alerts where to move is: shft and created_on > = trunc (sysdate) and created_on<>

  • Need help in the interpretation of a file of Trace 10053

    Hello

    I need help to interpret an event 10053 (optimizer Trace) trace file

    Everything that happens on AIX with Oracle 11.2.0.2

    It is not obvious to me why the optimizer chooses the path with the highest cost.
    But I found the following quote in the trace file, which is probably the answer, but I did not understand what circumstances allow the optimizer to say such things:

    New AP rejected: guess used for New, but not for the current best

    So, it was the short story, now the witch for a long time one quote of the trace file

    Here the query directly in the trace file. I can't modify this query, even a hint is not feasible, so I need to understand the incorrect path to avoid it.

    The bind variable you made are non-peekable, because the example you did evidence "explain plan" - which means that the optimizer uses is standard figures assumed that for "between: bind1 and: bind2 ', on the other hand, as predicates" column =: channels3 "can legally be estimated according to the density of the column.

    This means that you probably searching for the case described in a blog post that I wrote some time ago:

  • Need advice on the rendering of a file for authouring PAL DVD, format, codec, compression

    Hello.

    Im working on an experimental audiovisual project that needs to be exported to a file that will be used for the DVD to a compilation of creative works. IM pretty much against it time, the deadline is close and im spending many hours trying different settings - output but still im do not reach the level of quality in the final file I expect to see.

    Ive been given technical specifications are:

    -Maximum duration: 6 min.
    -PAL
    -16 x 9 if possible
    -mov file if possible

    My compostion is in black and white and shades of gray. It was out of a video Toolbox in real-time, but I infact used Fraps to capture uncompressed video, as her reacts software at in realitme sound. No problem here, the images I got is fine and works perfectly, at 30 frames per second (here is perhaps one of my problems that maybe I should have output/captured video at 25 frames per second since I understand what the rate for PAL)

    Anyway Ive done my compostion by superimposing several segments of the video captured in sync with the sound.

    (1) first of all, whenever I out in any format, everything becomes a little grey - IE the bottom black deep perfect dark gray go. How can I avoid this?

    (2) what is the best type of file to the format/path/from out for the conversion of best quality of 30 frames per second at 25 frames per second. I noticed that the video becomes slightly jerky when I got out with a PAL output configuration preset.

    I would appreciate if someone could guide me on the best possible formats/file types and the bitrates to deal with this specific set of cladding im problems. Unfortunately, I need to make the due date in the coming days.

    Thank you very much

    p

    If you create a DVD, there is really no choice of codecs, since the DVD-video is a very specific and closely forced to MPEG-2 video form. MPEG-2 video is highly compressed and is not a format high definition, so it is absolutely inevitable that export to DVD video will cause a loss of quality. This is true for the same professionally created DVD. There is a DVD MPEG-2 export preset in After Effects that you can choose in the Format menu in the settings of output Module dialog box.

    If, however, you are given your video as input for a larger work, and you must create an intermediate file that keeps all the details for as long as possible in the post-production pipeline, you should view and export using lossless coding. My preference for the creation of intermediate files compressed without loss of sources of 8 bits-per-channel is the PNG video codec in QuickTime (MOV) container.

    For information on the compression and the choice of the parameters for specific purposes, see this FAQ entry (and the pages it links to the):

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/729526

    You said 'jerky' output. See this FAQ entry for more information on the movies encoded without loss and how they are not suitable for reading:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/684381

    Or maybe saccades comes from the inadequacy of the frequency of frames between your source 30 frames per second and 25 frames per second composition. If so, then interpolation can help.

    Hello

  • Need to retrieve the values of a column

    Hi Experts,

    I need extract values and store them in a separate column. Can someone help me to write the function to extract the data from the column.

    I have a DOC_NO of column I need to extract the date of birth, sex, nationality

    Doc_no: 080 9005070288

    Date of birth: 900507-yyddmm

    Sex: 0288-if less than 5000 can male other female

    Nationality: 080 - 0 means the India 1 forgiener.

    Thank you

    Emmeline

    Simply this:

    Select substr (doc_no, 1, 6) Date of birth, case where 5000 > to_number (substr (doc_no, 7, 4)) fitting and "masculine" of other 'female' gender, then substr (doc_no, 11) nationality

    from table_name

    Don't know what 0 you have been pointing to nationality, but you can certainly change the last substr to deduce from this area.

  • You need to up the limit of 50 files! Now!

    The limit of 50 files. This is not what I paid for. Disappointed!

    Hi Fly Guy hobbies,

    If you want to send more than 50 files, you can their zip up in a single file and send them like that. (Note that the zip files are not previewed by the beneficiary. They must be downloaded).

    You can check the thread: Re: is there a way around the limit of 50 files in Adobe send?

    The feedback was sent to the engineering review team.

  • Failed to retrieve the LR 5 installation files

    LR5 purchased and downloaded for PC from Amazon. Get the error message: "this is a problem when extracting the files. Check the amount of space available on your computer and the rights to write to the destination folder"when the extraction of installation files. He has more than enough space, and the destination folder is the desktop. This happens on both my Surface (Windows 8.1) and Dell (windows 7). What's wrong?

    This is an incomplete download. the size of the file must be ~871.9mb ~ 892825b

    In addition, it is a self-extracting file.  then you just click (or double click on) the exe file.  do not manually extracted.

    Another option for you, if you have problems with this file:

    If you follow the 7 steps you can directly download a free trial here: http://prodesigntools.com/lightroom-5-ddl-comparison-vs-lr4.html

    and activate it with your serial number.

    If you have a problem from the download, you follow the 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

    the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

    failure to obtain this cookie translates into an error page displayed after clicking on a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (e.g., current) version.

  • Need to retrieve the text of a URL and store in a variable

    Looking for advice here, I can do this in PHP, but I'm too new to CF doesn't know it yet. To spend of PHP to the CF would mean sending these variables in the URL of the web that I want to avoid.

    Basically I have a precompiled java module I should use referring a Y or N to verify authentication.
    I need to create the next scenerio:

    Display with the username and password form;
    Enter the name of the user as user name and password as password
    From the screen of the http:/intranet/servlet/WebLogin URL, get Y or N? UserID = XXX & Password = YYY
    Store the results of the verification as a global variable

    My attempt of CF:
    < cfform = "loginform" action = "http:/intranet/servlet/WebLogin" name
    method = "Get" >
    < table >
    < b >
    user name < td >: < table >
    < td > < cfinput type = "text" name = "UserID" required = "yes".
    message = "a user name is required" > < table >
    < /tr >
    < b >
    password < td >: < table >
    < td > < cfinput type = "password" name = "Password" required = "yes".
    message = "a password is required" > < table >
    < /tr >
    < /table >
    < br >
    < input type = "submit" value = "Log In" >
    < / cfform >

    -This code works to redirect the display URL displays Y or N, but how can I not enter the result and store =)

    : My PHP code to do this (works completely)
    <? PHP

    $url = ' http:/intranet/servlet/WebLogin? UserID = XXX & Password = YYY';
    $html = file_get_contents() ($url);
    If (preg_match ('/ Y /', $html, $matches))
    {
    echo "success."
    }
    on the other
    {
    ECHO 'no success ';
    }

    Galloping gargoyles! There are so many things wrong here!

    Anyway, if you're stuck with this approach, you will need to use cfhttp to get the result.

    Something like the attached code should help you get started.

  • Need to retrieve the compressed since picasa tif file!

    A year ago, I received a contract in an E-mail on live.com. It came as a TIF file and now I can't access anything whatsoever, except the first page. It opens in Picasa now, but only on the first page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    What is the file type now - some zipped file type, TIFF or something else?  You have the original zipped file to extract the files again and see if it works?

    To open a zipped file, right-click and it and click on extract files.  If this does not work, try the free 7 - Zip http://www.7-zip.org/.

    You have an another Tiff Viewer for TIFF files.  Here's a free one, you can download and try: http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm.

    What is the file size?  Which makes sense for a multiple page Tiff file or is it too small?

    If you have Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, you can be lucky.  They have so-called saves shadow copies, which are deleted or modified files that can be recovered in case changes/deletions made by mistake.  http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx more information about how to use this feature to: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=145.  But I don't think that it works with a file going back that far (the cliché has probably been deleted now but it's worth a try if nothing else works.

    The only alternative is to try to find some corrupt files online repair software and see if you can reapair the file to see the entire table of contents (because if none of the above works, he has probaby become corrupt over time).

    I hope this helps.  If this does not work or if you have any other questions, do not hesitate to respond and I'll do what I can to try to help you.

    Good luck!
