netstat - year

Hello

Here's the output of netstat - year of windows for oracle 10.2.0.3 and I m confused because there is that only one port is open it's 1800 but I found a lot of random ports used. What are the ports at random here used for? If I use only one port. i.e 1800 why connections to random ports.

  • Remote Desktop connection failed but successful ping

On the target computer, make sure that Port 3389 is not blocked by a firewall.  If you use Windows Firewall, go to the control panel Windows Firewall, check that "Don't allow Exceptions" is not checked in the "Général" tab, then click the 'Exceptions' tab and make sure there is a check mark next to "Remote Desktop".

You can also ensure that a program is to accept incoming remote desktop connections to raise a command prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") and entering the following command:
    netstat - year |    find "3389.
If all goes well, you should see the following line returned:
    TCP 0.0.0.0:3389 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING

  • How can I see which ports are open?

I have problems to access the links to especifs in some compters, but several computers can access and all go to the same conection internet.
I need know how I can see what ports are open... with SCW Server 2003 I see this, but I don't know in Windows 7, Vista or XP.

    Lulu Maciel,

Open the command prompt and type "netstat - year" without the quotes. You can view the list of ports that are open.

    Hope this hepls!

    See you soon!

  • More than 100MB of traffic on a port FIN_WAIT_2 - process long gone

I have 100's of megabytes of traffic while a loooooooong (10-20 minutes), after that the process has spent on the port that once belonged to this process and is now in FIN_WAIT_2. I know that some will say 'impossible', but here is the proof: I used to be a network guy, doing same programming (Linux) kernel of the TCP (firewall) code so I know at least a little bit what I talk even if it was some time ago. In my view, I must say that, as all previous because these reports and discussions that I could find where met with disbelief.

I run Wireshark, so I can SEE the traffic, and it's all about the port that "netstat - year ' lists as"FIN_WAIT_2.

Reminder: This is twitch.tv and flow of video on demand (not live). I use the latest Flash and Firefox. Even when I do some (list of processes) that Firefox and the Flash plugin went network traffic continues to max my connection 16Mbit.

Connections (which are TCP-> HTTP) are data centers "Level 3 Communications' (a company), which is where the shaking hosts them (I checked that, and besides, as I said, I can see the traffic with Wireshark).

How can I stop this unnecessary traffic? How is it possible anyway? Yes, I know it is not lack of Windows, but I have no access to the servers of video at the request of jerk or the code of their flash video player. I * could * add manually a firewall block for the port, but I'm not even sure which would prevent the server continue to send packets, only that I can't - and this "denial of service attack" on my connection Internet would always be there.

I found this, and there is a sentence that gives me pause:

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/Windows/hardware/ff550023%28V=vs.85%29.aspx

"If an acceptable TCP segment arrives on the connection, before the expiration of the timer FIN_WAIT_2, unloading target restarts the FIN_WAIT_2 timer."

Given that these packages coming form the server (lots of them!) it seems that perhaps happens, which does not expire the FIN_WAIT_2 timer?

    EDIT:

Maybe is not specific twitch.tv, as I watched my system more closely I noticed that it may be a general problem with playback of the video stream through Flash (on Firefox?).

    EDIT 2:

This problem may be more widespread, here's a similar report for videos on Chrome (they don't say no HTML5 or Flash videos?): https://productforums.google.com/forum/#! Chrome/EupZB8aHVPM/section

  • Server Web of DMZ problem

Here's the situation. I have a Web server on in my DMZ. No wonder there but that serves as a Server Web pages it retrieves from the mail server that is behind the firewall to the private network for web access to mail server. My configuration allows access of the population the end Web server and Web server can recover and serve the pages of fine mail server but my setup is far from perfect. If someone were to enter this Web server, they would open in my network access. Here's what I have in my config for this part:

    access-list DMZ_access_in allow the host tcp a

DMZ_access_in list of allowed access host tcp eq www host eq www

If I change the first line at all (like trying to block downwards so that the http protocol), I get nothing. The server is no longer able to access the e-mail server. What I did was this:

DMZ_access_in list of access permit tcp host all eq www

DMZ_access_in list of allowed access host tcp eq www host eq www

Ideas, thoughts or comments would be appreciated, as I'm sure there is a better way to do it. Thank you!

    * EDIT *: I just did a netstat - year on the mail server and it seems that the Web server is coming through on different ports, but it's a series of them. They begin to 3176 and go ahead to increase of a (3177, 3178, etc.). A single session (mine) has two 'ports' open - 3176 and 3177. Just for the record, the mail server is a Domino server (if this is useful at all). Once again, thank you for any help!

It's exactly the same access list statement I suggested put in and then collect newspapers. It is good that things are working for you now.

For what is the security of this statement is well, you must allow this to make things work. For you, there are two layers of security. No outside client strikes directly the internal server, so it is a layer. Secondly that the DMZ server is allowed to access the Server internal through http. In a nutshell your require this ACL statement on your DMZ. Just keep your patches to updated Web server security.

  • PIX 501 config probs - beginner needs help!

Have a bit of a nightmare trying to set up external access to one of our servers through the pix. He is currently in its factory config.

I tried assiginig an Acl to allow the remote desktop on port 4999 from outside, but it doesn't seem to work. I have attached the config in its current form - please help this is driving me crazy!

1.) basically the NAT public IP address to a private IP address is on the right of ADSL router. Check that!

ADSL Public IP TCP 4999 to PIX outside TCP 4999

(2.) the config on the PIX should be good, as I posted it.

Redirect port of PIX outside IP TCP 4999 inside private IP TCP 4999

3.) make sure that your server meets the port TCP 4999 really!

    On windows or Unix =

    netstat - year

You should see something like this:

    TCP 10.0.0.3:4999 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING

4.) another way of troubleshhot might be using "capture" on the PIX. This like tcpdump UNIX a sniffer that can show packets on an interface. I do not remember what version, this command was introduced, but you will need at least an OS PIX 6.3.x to have.

    Example:

access-list 120 permit tcp any any eq 4999

capture of 4999 interface 120 outdoor access list

See Access Snapshot 4999 list 120 retail

    To use remove:

    no interface access-list 120 captures 4999 out

    No capture 4999

    Change inside interface:

capture of 4999 interface 120 of inside access list

See Access Snapshot 4999 list 120 retail

    sincerely

  • Why my media library is not visible on other machines in my home group or my PS3?

    Hello

I am relatively tech savvy but I have a problem with getting my network to recognize my media library on one of my Windows 7 PC.

I am wanting to use Windows Media Player 12 to do this, I ran TVersity successfully, but I prefer to use the ability to stock of the operating system.

I'm pretty sure I got this before work:
Network and sharing Center-> choose homegroup and options-> sharing stream my pictures, music and video (active)

On a remote machine, I can see the libraries when I use Windows Explorer-> homegroup
I can see the music, videos and photos, I also see 'My music' and 'Pictures' folders (not sure why the last two is split out into their own sections)
When I open Windows Media Player, but I don't see anything under "other libraries".

If I open Windows Media Player on the local computer I see other libraries of slots "other libraries". I don't however see individual files to "My Music" or "my pictures."

    I tried:
    The firewall reset
Netstat - year - b, I see wmpnetwork Sam listening on 2869 and some svchost.exe on UDP 1900 so I'm sure that the process is running.

I was wondering if it was a permissions thing, but I tried so many different things, I thought I was opening the question up to the community. I found that somehow 'My Music' and 'My pictures' were not shared with the homegroup, but I changed that.

Also, (and I guess that naturally has the situation) I don't see the PC as a DLNA server on my PS3.

    Thanks for the tips!
    Tom

I went with the method described above. I also added a (.bat file) task in the Task Scheduler with "run with highest privileges" to the net sh stop/start services in the correct order as above after a 90 second sleep - is not ideal, but it works!

    That is to say

    I followed this thread

Software solutions Srinivasan: Installation of Oracle OBIEE 12 c in Windows 7

no idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

The solution is that you must provide the good reception

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/3817750

so once you get the error, set the BI_PRODUCT_HOME: C:\Middleware\Oracle_Home\bi in the environment variable.

Run the rcu.bat to remove the users, remove the C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi directory and run the rcu.bat and run the config.exe

    Kind regards.

  • How to kill the glassfish forums

Hi guys, can someone tell me how do to kill a glassfish instance uses port 4848.

Installed GlassFish and found that the glassfish installation does not work, so I deleted all files from glassfish to my unix machine with the stop of the glassfish Server (. / asadmin stop-domain).

Now, I downloaded another version of glassfish and tried to start the server (. / asadmin start-domain). I get the following error.

There is a process that is already using the port admin 4848 - it's probably another instance of GlassFish server.

    Command start-domain failed.

I have not changed my hosts file, then the host name should not be a problem.

Output of netstat - year | grep 4848

    *.4848 *. * 0 0 65536 LISTEN 0

I think the only way is to find the treats glassfish and kill him with the command "KILL". can someone tell me please how to approach this problem.

    Thank you

It is resolved, I searched on the process of ' ps - ef | grep glassfish"and killed all the processes under it. and it worked.

  • Open the ports for the operating system from siebel

    Hello

I would like to know how can I find all the port associated with Siebel in any environment. I would also like to know whether or not they are listening.

    Thank you

    Abhishek

    Hi Abhishek,

Please see the following article of knowledge for more information:

Information about Siebel need Ports. (Doc ID 1629529.1)

netstat - year gives all ports with the status of those are listening or inactive.

    I hope it helps.

    Best regards

  • vCloud vCAC Automation unit distributed Installation Architecture Center second device does not record services

I work at the vCAC 6.0 installation in a distributed architecture for a production environment.  I have deployed the device of the identity, configuration Netscaler for balancing the load, configure external postgreSQL, followed vCloud Automation Center Documentation until you restart the vcac-server the vcac appliance second service and it never starts or registers the services on the second device vcac.

The first aircraft arrives as it should and works through the just right load balancer.  After restarting the service vcac-server and 20 minute wait I can't to the second application directly bypassing the load balancer to access the page of the shell-ui-app.  Connect to the console of the second application I tail'ed the output of /var/log/vcac/catalina.out and used netstat - year to view the ports used.  Port 443 just never came up.

I have filed a ticket with support but thought someone might have fallen on this and can help in the meantime.

The problem has been resolved with the GA vCAC 6.1 version and using the HA tab for additional devices.

  • Cannot open URL of the center console

    OEM 12.1.0.3 on Linux.

Not able to open the url - Enterprise Manager Central Console HTTP Port.

It says HTTP 403 Forbidden.  There is no firewall.

http://oemserv01.com:7780 / em -Cannot open this URL

I can hit the URL http://oemserv01.com:7780 (ie., without em)

Also, I can open the SSL url

    https://oemserv01.com:7789 / em

I see that the Port is listening

    Console HTTP port: 7780

    $ netstat - year | grep 7780 - gives me good o/p

    I found the solution myself.

We need open the console to use the no - ssl url and then bounce the SGD.

    sure emctl unlock - console
