netstat

I type cmd and navigate to this screen. Then when I type netstat I get a message that it is not recognized as a program or batch internal or external file. Windows7 home premium

but you do right click on prompt and then clicking "Run as Administrator".  With UAC on windows 7, it does not always read that you are an administrator until you do this. Happens to me all the time and I am the only admin on the computer as well.

Could someone help me find if highest poster is normal or I have some kind of malware on my computer. If so, how to identify the culprit?

    Hi ErhanKarabekir,

    ·         Have you installed a software recently?

WinHTTP.dll is a module associated with Windows HTTP Services. WinHTTP.dll comes from the software installed on the system.

s2_32.dll is a system process that is needed for the PC to function properly.

I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While hard disk analysis if bad sectors are found when scanning try to repair this area, all available on which data can be lost.

Let us know if that helps.

Netstat is simply a file program located in the folder C:\Windows\System32.   It appears as "netstat.exe.  If you rename (or copy / paste / rename) to "abc.exe" then you can run it using 'abc' instead of 'netstat '.

  • Problem with the Netstat command

Windows XP Home Edition / 2002 Version / Service Pack 3... I am interested in running the Netstat command to check for Remote Access Trojans, can you please help me with what command to put in the control box? When I type in the command box run, a little black box pop up, then disappears. Why he don't rest so I can see what information is on the rise?

    Hello Bobby Collas,.

If you try to view Netstat information, redirect it to a text file and then you can look at the text file.
From a command prompt use the pipe command: > and then name a file name.

    Example:
    Netstat - a > netstat reply.txt

-A: displays oneconnections active he's and the TCP and UDP ports on which the computer is listening.

You can do a netstat /? to display all available commands.

    I hope this helps.

  • What is 192.168.1.1:domain in the command NETSTAT?

Hello, I was using the command prompt and typed in netstat - see open ports on my XP computer.  Then I found a bizarre result that I have never seen this.

It was the Proto local address foreign address State
    TCP myXP computername:port # 192.168.1.1:domain Fin_Wait_2

What is this 192.168.1.1:domain?  I think that 192.168.1.1 is my gateway router, but why it is said: field?
a few minutes later, I typed netstat - at the command prompt to check again, but it's there anymore.
This means that my computer is on a domain network, or something?  As far I checked, my computer doesn't seem to be on a domain network, but I don't know what that means.
I've looked for information online, but no luck... I am so naïve and if anyone can help me with the answer, I would really appreciate it!

    Thank you much in advance.

Yes, it is normal for home use.  Whenever you enter a domain (e.g. www.google.com) name in a browser, this name must be converted into a numerical IP address until the site can be contacted.  This requires a query to the domain name server.  You must have timed your command "netstat" just catch the DNS port open.

  • Don't know how to read the results of netstat EI s list? If I received 860592506 bytes sent from 43421482 how to convert MB? And does this mean byte received?

Don't know how to read the results of netstat EI s list? If I received 860592506 bytes sent from 43421482 how to convert MB? And does this mean byte received?

    Hello

This shows the total number of bytes transmitted and received via the Ethernet card. This is the total of the amount of use up to this day.

This includes all the Web sites you have visited and emails you sent, etc..

You can calculate using one of the following methods:

    Method 1:

    860592506 / 1048576 = 820,72 MB

    Method 2:

Multiply 860592506 with 9.53674316 * 10 ^-7 that will give us the result in mega bytes.

860592506 bytes = 820 MB 9MB not, accept my apology for the miscalculation.
    Similarly 43421482 acroos = 40MB

Some of the main controls of Netstat do not work (only 5 commands work out of 11). I am particularly interested in the command n (address/Port # s in digital form). I think that my system may have been compromised, and some software disabled. Y at - it a new version of Netstat I can download. I looked in the update and the Download Center, but did not find anything.

    Hi Seeker96,

You can use TCPView rather than Netstat.  It provides the same information than Netstat (with the - n switch), it maps IP addresses to their domain names (and much more) and it has a GUI firendly.  You can see what is happening in real time, so it allows you to focus on the current network activity.

  • How will I know that my system has been compromised by typing "Netstat" in the menu run?

I ran a few patches to enable or download the full version of the software. I read that crackers/Hackers instill Trojan horses to any system by doing this. When I type "Netstat" in the run menu and click on "Enter". Netstat.exe presents a set of IP addresses from a local or foreign address. So connections are made! Should I be afraid? Is it a matter of worry? (Trying to figure out I look at the image as an attachment).

If it is, then what to do? Note, I have my Windows Firewall on! Expert advice is preferable. Just get the load off of me, please! Oh, my system is not stuck. She seems to be ok. In addition, how can I know my system is compromised or something? I use Windows Media Center Pro v x 64 bit 8. Antivirus: Windows Defender [not updated].

If the firewall cannot stop H/Crackers, what are the use of that? I use Home Network, I share all of the files or folders. What do you mean, Dr. Watson? If my system is very vulnerable to Hackers/Crackers, should what steps I follow?

Please, be specific. Have you looked at the attached picture? What did he say? Is it a matter of worry? When I connected to the internet, these connections were established immediately or via the [unknown] servers. Please talk Netstat.exe and image I have uploaded.

You can follow as easily as everyone down the owners of a given IP address.  This isn't a problem with Microsoft if you infected or infested with your machine.  ;-)
