Thank you very much... which seems to do the job for letting me use the network card.  Once I installed the chipset you me too, my IE was able to get the net.  The only thing that happened that I wonder about, what I choose to accept or not something RAID, which I accepted and it seems to work with one small annoying side affect: I can't get Windows Update to run.  I get this error: 0x8024400a and I spent literally hours looking for and trying different solutions, which none have worked. Do you think that there is something that would change this Nvidia software which would cause that?   I get out to the internet OK and can go to any web page.  It runs a bit slow, but I thought it might be because I'm using a newly installed Win XP and it has only 2 SP.  My next step in getting this thing to work was to run Windows Update and anti-virus stuff set.   Any way, thanks again for your help.

  • on my network card, a question mark appears that wasn't there. He appeared as a "switch" until I disabled "sharing network". He went away for a day and returned. This is a hack of nieghborhood?

My mother is a modem from Qwest. I'm on a laptop with wireless on the same account. We were on a homegroup network. I found a question mark on its network card and a photograph camera, on mine with the name 'switch' and no other info on this subject between the computer and the modem peak. I called Qwest and they said they didn't know what it was. So I disabled all the sharing network. He went away. 2 days ago. Today, I checked again, he had again disappeared from the workstation but now it's back on mine, but it shows up as a question mark, as it did on the desktop. And also, there were a few weird anomilies appear on our computers. Do I have a virus or maybe a neighborhood hacker?

  • Unable to connect to the internet with the NETWORK card and Windows Millennium Edition.

    Hello

I turned on my old computer yesterday, who has installed Windows Millennium Edition. At the back of the computer is an Ethernet port which is marked as LIEN ACT. The NIC with this port is Realtek 8139 PCI Fast Internet Adapter. I spend two hours on the Internet configuration and I did and finally got connected, but then, a few hours after, something went wrong and the Internet and the NETWORK card has stopped working! And the card has disappeared from the Device Manager, but he's still showing in network in Control Panel. I opened the computer and I reconnected it to the slot, but it did not help. At the back of the computer next to this port are two LEDs - green indicates the power that lights up when I plug the Internet cable and the other orange indicates actual connection. But now these two LEDs are not indicating something even when I plugged in the cable to the Internet, which comes from my router. In the computer a Dial Up connection PCI is installed too, but I disabled it. I used Dial-Up in 2002. So, I need help.
But I know that I can connect with this Ethernet card to the Internet because it worked for 3 hours, I've loaded the pages and downloaded programs.
Please don't point, should I upgrade Windows!
    Thank you.

  • Network card and Dell Dimension 4550 (533MhzFSB)

The geniuses out there know if its possible to install a wireless network card full to a desktop Dell Dimension 4550? Or would a Wireless N USB network adapter will work better? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Rather than having to connect to a modem and all that fun jazz.

I don't know what you mean by a "full" wireless network card, but if you can install an adapter wireless integrated (as one of THEM), depends on whether you have an empty expansion slot (and what kind of accommodation).  You can either open the case and look; Read the documentation that came with your computer; or go HERE and enter your service tag (you will need to use Internet Explorer, if you want to try the 'Analyzer' online to detect your current configuration.

My suggestion, however, would be to go with a USB wireless adapter, one who has a fairly long USB cable preference so that you can get out the antenna located between the back of the computer and the wall.  Following the same reasoning, if you decide to use an internal adapter, try to find one with a removable antenna, so that you will be able to get an extension of antenna and put the antenna in a place better than behind the computer.

Be aware that if you get a N (internal or external) wireless adapter, you won't get a flow and speed wireless-N if you connect to a Wireless N router/access point.

  • My wireless network card is disabled, and I don't know how to activate it.

My wireless network card is disabled, and I don't know how to activate it. I have a laptop HP Pavilion Dv9000, which originally had Vista but I installed XP Professional on it. According to Wefi all I had to do is click Start and then click on connect to and right-click on wireless connection and click Activate. My problem is when I click on start... There is no connect to click the button. Anyone know where I can find my connect button?  Thank you!!

    Hello

Try changing your preferences in the start menu.

Click with the right button on the task bar > select Properties > start menu tab > and make sure that this Start Menu, menu classic start no is selected. Then check to connect to.

Or, go to control panel > network connections. Find your wi - fi adapter and right click, select Enable.

  • Reinstalled Microsoft Xp professional and have now no network card

I reinstalled Microsoft Xp professional due to problems with the computer. Now, I don't have access to the internet and the network card drivers are not displayed

    Yes.

No operating system comes with hardware devices for each device drivers ever fact - although they come with those generic that make things "work" a bit.

You will need to understand (invoice, speet spec for the brand & model of computer, web search, opeing computer and PSP on parts...) What are the devices and making them and to download the appropriate drivers (probably on another machine and transfer it with a Flash DRIVE or CD/DVD to the machine in question) and get them installed.

  • Issues with Dell desktop computer wireless and D-Link wireless network card. Only able to get wireless access by checking "Use Windows to configure my wireless network". This kind of file sharing impossible.

original title: can't see the computer on wireless internet!

I hope that's not too much detail, but I would like that the sequence of events to be clear...

I have a Dell desktop computer that's probably six or seven years now.  It did not come with a wireless card, so I bought a DLink router and combo card wireless, install both with the DLink software.  It works beautifully.

Later, we through my rep AT & T DSL, I got a Motorola modem/router with wireless capabilities.  I had plugged directly on my computer Dell desktop and moved to a Dell laptop DLink wireless receiver.  No problems.

The Dell laptop is dead and the DLink receiver has not been used for a long time.  Family of my daughter moved to our place, and I have connected his desktop computers and laptop to wireless internet, using the Windows Connection Wizard.  Still no problem.

I got a new ASUS laptop, I also linked using the Windows Wizard.  STILL no problem.

Now, here's the problem comes.  I moved the Dell desktop computer, connected the DLink wireless receiver to it and I am able to get wireless access ONLY when I go into the properties of PC, click the wireless networks tab and check the "use Windows to configure my wireless network" box.  Then I can connect correctly, but I don't see this computer on my wireless network.  Bad luck... because I want to be able to access share files.  When I try to connect using different assistants of Windows, I get a message to the effect that, if I used another software to connect to the program, I can't use the Windows Wizard.

So, what can I do to remove the original configuration of DLink completely and to connect to my wireless network using the wizards in Windows?  I uninstalled the software of DLink, but it seems to have no effect at all.

BTW, Dell desktop computer is running XP, office computer of my daughter is running VISTA, and two laptops are equipped with Windows 7.  I can see all the computers on the network with the exception of the original Dell desktop computer wireless.

    Any help would be appreciated!

This would be only limited by the number of slots or ports for the cards.  What exactly are you trying to accomplish?  These types of configurations are generally only used on servers and, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, the use of multiple network cards usually leads to two simultaneous situations:

    2. Size of Texas PITA!

Shortly after affected by these events of size of Texas follows a sudden want to break the computer with a hammer usually...

  • Jet 7 is not driver for network card. How to download and install a?

    Hello

I received today a brand new Hp jet 7.  The first thing I did was to go to the control panel to connect to my wifi at home.  Whenever I start the process to set up a connection, the stream tells me that "Windows could not found a driver for your network card."  Because I can not connect to the internet, I don't know how to find, download and install the appropriate driver.  I'd appreciate any help that anyone may have to offer!

    Thank you!

    Hello:

If it was me, I return the tablet to the store and exchange it for another.

But I guess you can try this first...

If the device has a usb port, download this driver from another PC, copy in the flash player, plug the flash drive into your data flow and run the driver file.

  • 10 windows and error network adapter need to install my network card

A week or two after the installation of Windows 10, my PC started to operate erratically while giving me several different error messages. Finally, I realized there was a problem with the network card. After I re-installed each time my frustration forced me to go back to Windows 7, which has worked very well since. But I still have a message on my machine that I need to install my network card. (When I try, I always get the message that "the solution can be downloaded at this time.") I would go to Windows 10 but do not want to encounter the same problem. Someone has an answer to what is the problem?

  • I returned to windows 7 on my laptop Acer 5253 10 Windows and I lost my network card driver in the process.

    * Original title: jake

I returned to windows 7 Windows 10 on my laptop Acer 5253, apparently, I lost my network card driver in the process. I want to download a network card for a usb key to solve the problem, but I don't know how. I have no internet access on the Acer so I can't download directly. I not had a disc with disks on it to Acer, they came preloaded. I am running windows 7 pro on the Acer and Dell desk top on as I type. Can someone HELP me understand this? I am not at all computer savvy and need help.

Using another computer, visit the ACER support for your computer and download the drivers for a USB.

  • Cannot connect to internet after a reboot before you uninstall and then reinstall the network card. (After the upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista)

This problem started immediately after the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) to Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit).  Again, I want to remind that I never had this problem before installing Windows 7.

-After a reboot, I am presented with the impossible to connect the network indicator (yellow triangle with!) in the task bar.  (It was how I was welcomed after the installation of Windows 7 is said by the way).

-The only way I found to regain connectivity is to uninstall and reinstall the network via the device manager card, date at which the computer always successfully connects and remains connected until the next reboot.

    Network card: Realtek RTL8168C (P) / 811C (P) Family PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)

    Driver provider: Microsoft
    Driver date: 14/05/2009
    Driver version: 7.2.1127.2008
    Digital signer: Microsoft Windows

Thus, we have solved the problem! There are two possibilities of your problems:
1 company Adobe uses the Bonjour service , this service should be disabled.
Computer > Manage > Services and Applications > Services => find the bonjour service (sometimes stated as long numbers), stop service and if the Disabled value. It works!

    2. If it is not signed as Bonjour service. Try to disable the service:
Shutdown mDNSResponder .exe (he is represented by # Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762 #).

It is installed with Adobe software. If you upgrade the Vista, it will generally many users problem!
