Network connection problems, forcing APIPA to be always active

Original title: APIPA
According to the manual of microsoft
IPAutoconfigEnabled = 0
is defined in each group of interface parameters in the registry
but ipconfig/all says:
Automatic configuration: Yes
and tcpip sometimes gets the 169.254.x.x address
The DHCP service stops
Network driver has been reset, reinstalled, updated...
Automatic configuration (APIPA) is still on
How to solve this problem?
(Vista x 64)

  • Home wireless network connection problems

What should I do if I normally connect to the wireless network does not appear?  It is not a network card problem, because I can connect to other wireless and school and other places.  I tried to reset the router, ping and by unplugging and seeing what I could understand on the computer at home, but nothing does.  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Have you tried other computers to connect to your router? You use both wire and wireless
    connection?

Unplug the modem and Router 3 + minutes. And then reconnect the modem - when it is running
Plug in the router - when it is running - restart the computer. This is known as a hard reset.

Check with your router manufacturer support.

  • Wireless network connection problem

    Nice day

I have a wireless network connection problem and I ask for help to resolve.
What surprises me that this problem appeared suddenly, I used to connect to the WIFI correctly but two days ago my laptop could not connect to the WIFI and more.

Other devices and computers connect with success so I think that the problem in my laptop.
I don't have any changes on my laptop or windows, antivirus, drivers... updates or installed new software.
Troubleshooting of Windows detected 'router or access point issues '.
-Reset the router does not resolve the problem
    -Network adapter is enabled.
-State of wireless card "working properly" and "update".

I read a solution on this site, which was to change the properties of the wireless adapter, but the changes mentioned does not appear in the pilot of my laptop...

Sorry for this long to make, I appreciated all the help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Have you tried to reset your laptop to a time before this issue started with a Windows 7 Restore Point?  If it is a parameter change or software this restore point can help solve what is at the origin of the problem.

I'd also, of course, when you are resetting the router, to make sure that you let it sit for at least 30 seconds to a minute before plugging power back in.  You may need to do a few times to clear his memory to be able to connect.

In addition, have updated the drivers for the wireless card?  What version of driver currently installed in the system?  You can consult our support site, enter your serial number and click on drivers & Downloads to find the driver for your wireless card.

Finally, have you tried to empty the wireless profiles that are currently stored in your system?   If you delete the profile current wireless (which is to control your connection to the router), reboot your system, and try to reconnect Windows will rebuild the profile and hopefully allow you to log in again.

I would like to know if any of this helps.  To help resolve this more effectively please click on my user name Dell Todd and send me a private message with the Number of Dell Service from your system.  Please keep all troubleshooting and discussions on this thread open so that others can find the information they need to solve their problems.

This highway is part of a cluster, but is not the master of the configuration. Configuration changes made on this highway may be lost. More information about the Clustering help page.
    !
What is the solution to fix it?
Locally add cluster of highway or having to make cluster of 4 motorway between locations?

How far are the peers of the highway on the other, what is the round trip time?  This should be within 30ms.

Can you confirm that all highways in the cluster have the same keys option installed on all peers, as it is a requirement, call license quantities can be different, but the features option enable/disable keys must be the same.  Additionally, make sure that the version of the software installed is the same, that you have a version mismatch or could be active where encryption the other not.

Regarding the "this highway is part of a cluster, but is not the master of the configuration... '. "this message is normal for a node that is not the master, as it is said just only make changes on the master, since all changes on the slave will be replaced by the master.

Suggest you watch on creation of Cluster Expressway and maintenance Deployment Guide (X8.8) in case you have not yet.

connectivity problem: under troubleshooting is said: problem with nearby connections... the computer disconnects Internet after 45-60 minutes - it closes down also, usually when I repair as administrator, I can connect to internet, but still a time when left almost an hour without using the internet disconnects?

    Hi Kvhan,

    1. are you using cable or wireless network?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

This problem can occur because of network settings, try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

    Run the network troubleshooter utility.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

    Method 2:

This problem can occur if authentication enable IEEE 802. 1 X for this network checkbox is enabled. If this box is checked, but there is no server to authenticate the connection is interrupted. If you turn on the wireless network connection, it disconnects again after a short period.

To disable authentication IEEE 802. 1 X, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type ncpa.cpl, and then press ENTER.

    b. right click on your wireless network connection, then click Properties.

    c. click the wireless networks tab.

    d. under preferred networks, click your wireless network, and then click Properties.

    e. click on the Authentication tab, click to clear the authentication enable IEEE 802. 1 X for this network check box and then click OK twice.

We manage the virtual appliance 1.0 - beta and I noticed that the virtual appliance will fall the network periodically for a short period. I had constant pings, it will and it will just stop respond for anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. You can also see in the capture where the data is missing in the user interface of screen attached. I know that we are not the problems with our ESXi hosts or dvSwitch because there are many other virtual machines running on the same host ESXi and same VLAN and they are not network connectivity problems. Does anyone else know this?

Sounds like a network problem. Perhaps you have a dual IP / MAC address on the network? Do you perhaps have a routing problem on the network log Insight's sitting on that?

  • Sumvisin Cyclone MKV Media Player network connection problem

Hi I recently bought this Sumvision Cyclone MKV HDMI Network Media Player V2, everything was perfect at the start, he was playing files via USB and then I connected to a wired LAN, everything was great, I have Windows 7 ultimate and thought, maybe that's a problem. I didn't have a standing thread throughout the living room, so I bought the upgrade from USB WI - FI £14.99, once again, everything was good, connected and it worked perfectly. But now my problem is that when I go in the NETWORK portion of the menu connection, I find my network, put in my username and password and all I get is "LOGON Failed", I have tried changig my username and password several times now, and everything else I can think of. The box is always connected to the internet which is evident by the internet service still doesn't work. I've updated the firmware with the "Youtube activation", the "Fix Windows 7" and "disabled by default subtitles", but none of these things helped, I just additional options in the menu. I tried so many things now that I'm losing my grip and thinking, that I post here to see if anyone has had similar problems and solved the problem. I'm not too hot on networking and maybe there's a protocol step by step I'm missing.

Just an additional info, I use a siemens gigaset 4 ports + wireless router I have 3 PC connected via an ethernet cable and I have1 spare ethernet cable for when I do the repairs. My officejet 4670 wireless printer is working fine on my network and can be used by the other PCs at home. I also have nintendo Wii I have ith wireless network connection. As I said, the media player can connect to my router, but it can not connect to my pc through the router, it says my network, but when the username and password is set, it just says: connection failed. I'm at my wits end with this and I have idea o what I am doing wrong, please help!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi RealGoneKid,

It can be a problem with the USB adapter that is used when you connect the media player on the network.

First of all, I would say that you check if it works when you connect the player via a USB cable and check if it works.

If this does not work when connected via the USB cable there is a possibility that the wireless USB adapter may cause the problem.

I suggest that you contact the device manufacturer for more support on the issue.

    I hope this helps!

  • Photon: Dropped calls and network connectivity problems

I bought my Photon August 18 and he was not long for me first to the problems with network connectivity.

The phone displays signal on the phone, but when you try to call, send text messages or surf the web. Zilch.

A soft reset works every time. I've had some experience with the issue of the "appeal of ghosts", but had no network connectivity so often that he was too much a problem. Restores the soft 3-4 per day.

I took the phone to the Sprint store and they told me that my phone verified and were not hardware problems that may be found. I said at the time on the update of the software of MR5 and was anxious to see how the phone after the update.

I received the update on Wednesday and the phone worked fine. No appeal of ghost, no network connectivity not problems, only dropped the call.

Now, Friday morning, I lost network connectivity despite seeing the strength of the signal and had to perform a soft reset to regain connectivity. My wife and I bought this phone at the same time. She had many calls interrupted before the update and we both experienced after that update eventhough signal showing on the phone is at least two if not more bars.

Is this a known issue? Is it going to be/CAN this be corrected by a software update? Is this phone a lemon and he'll remember?

I LOVE this phone. I don't want to get rid of it, but...

Seriously. It's a phone! Making calls should be the FIRST thing that is done right.

Please, someone, Motorola, reassure me that this isn't a lemon and that network problems are going to be fixed. I CAN wait, but I don't want to get stuck with two phones for $200 that need to be pampered just to be usable.

    Thank you

    TC

Yes, it turns out that be was a buggy phone. Two stores tested Sprint phone for reception of the signal and they said that it spent; but as said the technician in the second store, the tests they take place the phone in ideal conditions.

The two stores I've visited, said they were ready to replace the phone, but my first visit came just before the MR5 update software while I was willing to wait to see if the update corrects the problem. It didn't, but the replacement of the second store phone works fine with upgrading to MR5 and really no problem.

I'll go ahead and mark this question as a response, but if you experience the same problems of chance complete loss of all network connectivity (Sprint or otherwise), I recommend getting the phone replaced. It is a bad camera.

Oh and the technician at the second store mentioned the network problems. It has been a problem for them, but the most telling proof of the issue of network is random dropped calls. So if from time to time, you lose a call under the conditions of good network signal, it's probably not your phone and Sprint. I have almost that many abandoned calls as of late, so it could have been the wrong phone I had that really amplified the problem... or... Sprint has got some of the bugs in our region.

Thank you for looking in. I hope that your problems are as easy to solve as mine and I hope that you are still within your 30 days so that you get a new replacement.

    Best wishes

    TC
