network i/o control ver 3.0 in vSphere 6.0

Hello

I want to know how the network IO control.

Thus, when allow us control of network IO, it will automatically set type of traffic.

I wonder if there is a part of the traffic that we do not use, but the actions already defined by activating network control. The actions will count for all if it their types not in use?

example:

Traffic Type                                                                                                                  Shares Value

Traffic of fault tolerance (FT)

50

Management traffic

50

NFS traffic

50

Traffic of the Virtual Machine

100

Virtual SAN traffic

50

iSCSI traffic

50

vMotion traffic

50

POS traffic

50

Traffic VR

50

In this vds, we only use it for the traffic of the Virtual Machine.

What calculation will happen if congested port for traffic of the virtual machine only happens

a. 100 / (50 + 50 + 50 + 100 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50) * the uplink port speed

b. 100 / 100 * the uplink port speed (since only machine available in this vDS virtual traffic)

If (a) correct, it is recommended (best practical or not) to reduce all shares of port to 1 (can not stock value set to 0)?

Thank you.

The coup actions only when there is a conflict. So, basically, if you have no traffic currently active for the types of traffic, other traffic of the Virtual Machine, then all the bandwidth will be available for your virtual machines.

Similarly, when you launch vMotion, which has half as many shares as the VM traffic, your bandwidth will be divided like vMotion 1/3 and 2/3 for the virtual machines.

Hope that makes sense.

  • Notebook Network Card - it controls wired and wireless?

A few weeks ago, we were struck by lightning.  Several components wired ethernet were blown out.  My HP laptop was connected by CAT5e network at the time.  Now, the WIFI works, but the hard drive, Wired is DOA.  I don't know that there is a hardware failure.  Is the wired and WIFI, both controlled by the portable NIC... a $30 fix or will I need a new motherboard on the laptop?

The "WIRED" network adapter is built into the laptop system board and would require the relocation of the card of the system to solve your problem. The 'WIRELESS' network adapter is a discreet card that is independent of the system board and can be replaced if necessary.

    Hello someguyinKC,

It is not possible to control the functions of the Blu - ray Disc player using your home network.

However, you can use the media remote function to operate the BD player. See the link for the below instructions using the Media Remote application with the BD player.

  • Network Variables custom control Option Disabled

    Hi all

I am creating a network variable in a cRIO project using a predefined custom control... I've done this hundreds of times before in other projects... For some reason any "custom control" option at the bottom of the drop-down list data type is disabled...!

I'm sure it's something very simple, but I'm well and truly stuck now... I'm not still connected to my RIO? I have not activated the network connection again...

    Well,.

I have now found the solution... This is a bug... Just stop LabVIEW (completely, not only the project) and restart and voila... the option to wake up...

  • Y at - it a home network wireless Parental controls?

Y at - it software that will put parental controls on my wireless network so that things including video game consoles will be protected from dangerous Web sites? I don't want to go out and buy a new router with the built-in parental controls if I have to. I used to use Home Network Defender but now I can't renew it because the product is not sold more.

I tried OpenDNS, but there is nothing that will allow me to put my password to get around the block. It's really annoying.

    Hello

I suggest you use Windows 7 built in parental controls for wireless networks.

  • Control an ESXi server with vSphere client on the internet?

I work for a company who manage multiple servers, most of which run ESXi. There are times where the machine virtual which is y executed is insensitive, or the crash. When this occurs often we have no other choice than to see and access the console from a client within the network. I was wondering if it was possible for me to open a port like 12345 and move to the ESXi host, giving me access to his inventory and power VM States and all the usual stuff, only remote rather than within the network. I want to know if it's possible, and what are the ports are necessary for me to do. I am aware that you can install as a virtual machine and the remote client in this, but I prefer to keep things as they are. I just want access to host servers ESXi by opening the Client vSphere on my own machine remotely and feeding the external IP address of customers and manage that way. Thanks for your time.

    Hello..

Yes, it is indeed possible... All the ports that are required to achieve this are listed in the KB below:

TCP and UDP Ports required to access other network, ESX hosts and vCenter Server components

  • Group administrator cannot open Control Panel, Manager of tasks or access networked readers

    Hello

I have a little trouble getting one of our computers in the domain to cooperate.  We've added a bunch of user profiles of domain on this computer, all under the administrator group, but nobody except the local administrator can access network drives, open Control Panel and open the Task Manager.  Even our domain administrator cannot do the previously listed.  We have 3 other computers that use all the same members, and they are all very well, so I don't think that the question lies in group policy.  It's almost as if the local administrator group settings have been changed somehow?  I went into the local group policy and all settings seem correct.  I'm puzzled little at this stage.  This could be the cause of this problem?  What is a corrupt local administrator account?  For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

  • No encrypted network connection

I just got my printer b110a today, installation and set-up was fine, but when I got to the step to connect it to my wireless network, after research and find my network name and enter my exp of wpa, it said connection was successful but just after he tried to connect to the internet to activate the web settings , I think that it Sibomana, she didn't
At this point, I tried everything under the Sun, when I disable my encryption via my router wireless set up the view, and do my network without guarantee of the printer works perfectly! But I can't have a non secure network for the printer to work, honestly I've tried everything I can possibly think.
I have here a last result trying desperately trying to find the answer please can someone shed some light on my problem
    Thank you

  • Photosmart C6280 all-in-one: connected LAN network won't print or scan

I am running Windows 7 (64-bit) and have a HP C6280 connected to my local network. My NetGear router shows the printer as a device on my network. Windows Control Panel will display as loans and set printer as default. When I try to print, the release of the coils for the print spooler, but then shows a printing error and nothing prints. HP Solution Center shows as disconnected printer.

HP print and scan doctor can see the printer but cannot print a test page for it or fix the problem. Cannot printer Windows troubleshooting. I put manually the printer IP address and it corresponds to the IP address used by the pilot, i.e. 192.168.1.107

The only way I found to solve the problem is to completely uninstall and reinstall the printer and all the HP software associated with it. And then I have to do it again on all 2-3 days.

    Any ideas?

    RnR,

Thanks for the suggestions, but I did that already, severl times. It turns out that BitDefender Firewall was interfering with my connection on printre network. After fixing manually the printer IP address and establishing a zone of confidence for the IP address of the printer for, things seem to have settled down.

  • Printer all in one HP3520 - how to select the wireless network and enter the WEP key?

According to print my wireless network is detected.

How to connect the! @# % printer $ fo the wireless network and enter the WEP key?

Instructions on the HP site tell me to selet NETWORK on the printer control panel.  Well, there's a way to select the NETWORK from the control panel.  It is not an option for him.

I downnloaded and installed the latest drivers.

I have restored the default settings.

How to select the wireless network and enter the WEP key?

All of HP's instructions seem to be for a newer printer with a touchscreen.

I want that the printer is connected to my main computer via the USB port.  I want to be able to print wireless phones and tablets.

My 3520 is not a 'touch Screen' and it has wifi.

    However, the following work:

Try to open the HP Deskjet 3520 icon, open the utilities tab, click on convert USB wireless, by following the steps on the screen.

This leads me to believe that ONLY the wireless doesn't work.  I know now that the part of the sentence "Convert USB to wireless connection" is supposed to mean "works like USB and wireless.
