Network printer with Win 7 32 and 64-bit PCs

I'm confused about how I'm supposed to implement my F4180.

I directly connected to a printer under Windows 7 64-bit.

I have 2 other computers on the netwrok running Windows 7, 32-bit.

I have a F4180 directly connected to a PC with Windows 7, 64 bit.  I installed Windows 7, 64-bit drivers on the PC directly connected and everything works fine on this computer.

Am I supposed to use the thing to install additional drivers and install Windows 7, 32-bit driver on the PC too so that Windows 7, 32-bit PCs can print correctly?

Or can I install Windows 7, 32-bit driver on the other computers themselves?

If I install the drivers 32-bit on 32 PCs bit or not, it doesn't seem to matter.  Also printers print fine, but when I click on customize your printer, then on Preferences, I get a windows protection error.  Thus, from the remote PC, I can't change the printing quality and that sort of thing.

What is the right way to do this?

Try the following: on 32-bit computers go devices and printers folder, add a printer, a local printer, create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, and then click Windows Update, and then select HP Deskjet F4100 series.

    Hello

What follows is certainly not what you wanted to hear, but it is frank and honest.

There is no support for Windows 7 on your laptop. If you were able to get to the top and running, so you were lucky.

The only provided HP drivers and applications that are available for your laptop are for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

You can try to install the Coolsense driver in compatibility mode, but there is absolutely no guarantee that it will work.

Just as it says on the download page of Coolsense, "this feature is available on mobile phones supported running a supported operating system." Unfortunately, your laptop is not grave in either categeory.

    Best regards

  • Network printer with XP and Vista

I initially installed my printer (Canon i850) on the XP computer, then I disconnected the USB cable and plugged into the Vista computer.  Vista has found a driver and it worked.  Then I put in network computers via ethernet and a router.  Now, I try to add the printer as a network printer on the XP computer, but he can't find a driver.  Computer that needs a new driver and what type?
Is not the XP computer generate a print file using a XP compatible driver, send the file to the Vista machine, and it sends the file to the printer?  If that's true, he should be able to use the driver that is already on the XP machine.

    Extremely misleading terminology

When you use the Add Printer Wizard you must select: "Local printer attached to this computer" even if the printer is connected to another computer.
Only after that I tried this option has noticed the "(i) ' who says: to configure a network printer that is not attached to a print server, use the»»
local printer option.  Indeed, he tells you to do two things in the face.

I think that the Assistant must have been modified to only three choices: (1) Local printer, network (2) printer connected to another computer, (3) network printer attached to a print server.
The underlying confusion is due to the double meaning of the term "network printer".

My problem is now solved, but not through Microsoft or you guys.

  • Impossible to print to network printer with the firewall Windows blocks the outbound connection by default

    Hello

I just installed a network printer.  The PC is on a private network.  The printer is the Brother printer and it connects to the wireless router via LAN.

With the Windows Firewall, which allows outbound connection by default, I can print to the printer.

However, if I change it to block the outgoing connection by default, I can print is more to it.  I've already activated in the preset group of Core Networking and sharing files and printer.

In the Task Manager, a single exe comes from brother's installed file.  I've already activated a special rule for it and status monitor brother now shows the correct status of this printer.

How can I find out what rules do I need to put?

    Thank you

Answer seems simple.  The print spooler service (C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe) must be added with the exception of outgoing.  I'm just surprised, that's not in the group for sharing files and printer.

  • Printing with the photosmart 5510 and MAC 10.7.2 is a dream? and I don't even go to part scanning

Wauw, buy a photosmart HP 5510 printer and you are very busy for Christmas together to print wireless?

Unpack your photosmart 5510 and install?

Well, it prints 1 page and then you get the message printer isn't ready if you want to print your next page.

1st day, I try with my own knowledge.

    Updates

    Reset the router.

Work with difficult IP put in the printer.

Change the IP address via the Web interface.

Change the settings of the router

Try to reinstall the software which is not even possible that most all do the manual says that it is.

Still 1 print and then nothing. Reset the printer or change the IP in the difficulty of the printer, labour, still 1 print or scan or 1 airprint but then nothing.

Damm scan I even was going to this party and look at all the users having problems. Allow me to first impression please.

And right now, it looks resolved advice and try to do the same. No results at all.

Come on guys read it all, it seems that you are lucky, when it works. You must be a programmer if it works.

    My main question is;

-Is this or Steve Job knew this?  This product is in its Apple store, HP uses the Apple logo.

-Sell HP t - he produced cheap now and get the money back to test everything print and use the cartridges?

-Are there hope or solution let this work smooth with what the box and ads tell?

-J' just forgot a small no and someone give me the solution?

-In a lot of wine in these days of Christmas?

Hope someone can help me and get this Photosmart 5510 working (printing, scanning and airprinting it says on the box)

    Hi ShiomiL,

A tried these last few months, a lot of time to get the HP works as it should work (especially the airprinting and scan) without any success.  We used with IP printing/scanning, which wasn't a problem, but does not give us the full possibility of the HP printer.

Today I bought an apple Extreme airport, connect and a few seconds later all works perfect

In the end, so it was the TL-WR741N (the latter replaced by apple airport) that give problems.

I just wanted you to know and say thank you for the support you give.

  • Laptop unable to connect to a network printer with WRT54GL Wireless

Recently, I replaced an old router with a WRT54GL. Initially, I had the installation of the network without security and my PC and laptop had no problem connecting to the printer (Samsung CLP-600N). After that I enabled the security, the laptop can not send jobs to the printer. The discovery software that comes with the printer can find it; It can not all just print to it. My PC (wired LAN) allows to print, but not the laptop wireless.

As you already know the IP address of the printer, then you need to manually add the printer on your computer port. What is the operating system installed on your computer?

You can follow this link to add ports on your computer, its for windows 7.

If its windows Vista, you can follow this link.

Also, I was able to install it using the IP address, but our software companies used the \\Server\printer convention for their print programs. so, it should be installed like this to work with our enterprise systems.

  • Printing with HP Officejet 6100 and Windows 8.1

I had no problem with the printer before installing Windows 8.1.  We installed the latest printer drivers from the HP website.  The printer wants to print to the back to the front, even though we clearly specified it to print from front to back.  It is typical for every program I use, but more troublesome for Sage 100 contractor, where I print paychecks and A / P checks.  We tried to uninstall drivers and reinstall them.  I even tried to "back to front" because it seemed he wanted to do the opposite.  He printed back to front.  Dial-up, rebooted and it continues to print at the back to the front.  I contacted HP Support and they don't have a clue as to why this is happening.  Help, please!

    Hello

When you have reinstalled the printer did you use assistant printer?

    Try the following:

    Press enter
    Scroll down to print spooler
Right-click on the spooler > select Properties
Make sure that the Startup Type is set to automatic
    Under the service stop status
Wait for Windows to stop the printer

Control Panel > open the printer folder
Right click on the printer icon > select Open
Do you see the documents listed in the queue for printing?
Click file > cancel all Documents

Start > right click on computer > select Manage
Click on continue on window UAC (Vista, Windows 7)
    Select Device Manager

Click on the + sign next to Ieeee... compatible printer (Note: some models of printers require an IEEE 1284 parallel port, which allows the rapid two-way communication.)  Do not worry if it is not listed)
Right-click on the printer driver and select uninstall
Click on the + sign next to the imaging device (s)
Right-click on the printer driver and select uninstall
Click on the + sign next to printers
Right-click on the printer driver and select uninstall
Click on the + sign next to Bus USB controllers
Right-click on the printer driver and select uninstall

While the printer is turned on, unplug the cable from the rear
Unplug the cable from the wall outlet

    Wait 5 minutes

Plug the cable into the wall jack, and then the back of the printer
    Restart the computer

Go back, and then restart the print spooler

    Try printing again

Go to the manufacturer's website and search for updated drivers

  • Windows 7 will not be printed with the photo viewer and Picture Manager.

Everytime I open an image file with Windows or Office Picture Manager Photo Viewer and try to print, I get 4 message boxes that said "your photos cannot be printed because this error occurred.

There is nothing else that a button OK - not even one error code.

The strange this is I can print almost anything with any other program very well. Firefox, Photoshop, all those print without problem. It's only the viewer Photo and Picture Manager that do this.

The printer is an Epson RX595 with 64-bit drivers.

My Office Picture Manager calls a dialog box that has a dropbox to define the printer. If you create an image of a document (*.mdi) you know it's the printer driver that has a problem.

  • HP Laserjet 6 p does not print with Win 7

I just gat a new PC. I have Win 7. DLed a pilot, I installed it, Windows years says that the printer is ready.  But it will not be printed. I tried the built in correction program, but he did nothing. I would be grateful for any guidance.

    Rich

It is one function of the hardware and the driver HP.  Is the place to download the driver

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=18924 .  Be sure to get the 32-bit or 64-bit version that corresponds to your version of Windows.  If this does not work for you, you will need to contact HP, because it is not a Windows 7 problem.

    Good luck.

  • I just got a new computer with Win 8.1 and whenever I open firefox, I get dozens of pop-up windows.

I disabled this popup option in the options. Why is this happening? They are all over the screen, a few small pop-up windows and others are full-size Firefox. It's driving me crazy. It doesn't happen when I use Chrome. But I don't like Chrome. I'm on Firefox 31.0

Hi babrown, if you are not sure that your Firefox is a clean version, you can replace your program files without disturbing your settings by using this procedure to clean reinstall :

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 31 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) the release of Firefox.

    (3) to rename the folder (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

If all goes well, then you can be easier.

Note: Some plugins recently installed can exist only in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \OldFirefox\browser\plugins
  • Fusion 5.0.1 update problems with win screen 8 and Office 2013 preview

    Greetings!

I have been running the evaluation version Windows 8 Enterprise 90 of Windows 8 as a host vmware OS (host of Mountain Lion operating system) and discovered serious problems when running Office 2013 preview.   In short, when I used it Word or Excel (did not PowerPoint), the screen is not correctly updated leaving lots of 'black areas '.   I understand the screenshot below (see attachment file) as evidence.  I hope that VMware Fusion staff get this rule since it's a bug blocking for you when you use Office 2013 preview.   Not having is not the last service is usable, it is certainly a serious bug in my opinion.   I can only imagine that maybe the graphics drivers for Windows 8 does not work as expected.

If VMware Fusion staff want more screenshots, I'm more than happy to help.

    See you soon.
