Network - VMnet-natd(8) activity; OK to enable?

I use 3 different copies of VMWare Fusion to run Win XP on 3 different Macs.  They all work very well. I love it! There is no 'problem', just a matter of technique that I hope someone can answer to put my mind at ease.

I use a different program on all 3 of the same Mac that monitors all outgoing network activity and allows me to choose all the outgoing activity instances. whether you want to leave it out or not.  When I run Win XP and turn on the network connection of the merger there is a Fusion process where something called "VMnet-natd(8)" is over and over again to send amounts to little info on what I guess, maybe it's an address for my ISP.  I use Comcast and the address it contacts with constantly is;

CNS.Beaverton.or.bverton.Comcast.net

Anyone know if this is the normal, safe and acceptable behavior that I shouldn't block?

What he does?

This is quite normal because it checks only the validity of the network...

Hello, please, I have this problem with my network; I have a windows 2008 standard edition as my domain controller, I have a router cisco with two Lan port, a port has this subnet:172.29.24.0/24 and the other has this subnet 172.29.25.0/25.Both subnet see each other, I can ping any computer from subnet to subnet 172.29.25.0/24 172.29.24.0/24 and the 172.29.25.0/24 to 172.29.24.0/24 without get a query at the time that is, I would answer. I created an account in active directory and given the privileged administrative account. I then joined the computer to the domain, and he succeeded. I went futher to access my server application on the 172.29.24.0/24 subnet, and it succeeded. later I tried to access my application server subnet of 172.29.24.0/24 and it show the network path was not found. I used another computer to access the server application on the 172.29.24.0/subnet in the 172.29.25.0/network and I stil get the same answer. network not found path. I had access more quickly the application server on this system. Now what will I do to have access to all of the network files shared on both subnets.

    Thank you

  • Public additional unidentified network listed on my active networks.

Today, I noticed that there is an additional network on my active networks. My home network which is my office - and an unidentified public network today appears below. What is - this and how it remove? or rather, how do I know what or where it comes from? Thank you.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to consult the steps and check if it helps:

    (1) use your mouse to click on the start menu, and then select Control Panel.

    2) click the button on "Network and Internet" Control Panel and select network and sharing Center.

    3) click on the tab "manage network connections".

    (4) find the old network connections you want to remove in the scroll bar. According to the number of connections you currently have in Windows Vista, it is possible that you need to scroll a bit to find the one you want to delete.

    5) click on the old connection you want to remove.

    6) click on the button 'delete '.

    (7) to confirm your selection by pressing 'Yes' when asked if you are sure you want to remove the connection. You can also choose to press 'Cancel' or 'No' to return to the previous screen and prohibit the removal of the connection.

    (8) notes that you can also change the network through the Network Wizard. Simply click on start, then "Connect To" and "show all connections".

    (9) select the network connection you want to change by clicking right on it and selecting the option you want. You can choose 'Disable' the connection, which would roughly have the same effect that completely removing, making it inactive.

    10) press the "Del" button after clicking on a network connection in the network connection window. This will completely remove the connection in the same way that detached from the control panel.

I hope this helps. Do not hesitate to contact again us for any further assistance.

  • relationship between the active layer and enable layer

I use AE CC 12.2.1. I think that is not specific to the AE version but something general.

When I read my layer by extendscript property, it shows layer.enabled = true and layer.active = false. If I change layer.enabled from false to true, the active property seems to follow the enabled property also.  I don't know the meaning of 'active', because even layer.active = false, there is no problem to manage the layer in AE.

I would like to know something.

    1. How do the status layer.active to AE UI even I check it in the source of the script?

    2. What is the difference between layer.active = false and true?

    3. What is the relationship between the layer active and active layer?

    Thanks in advance.

[Moved to After Effects - moderator script forum]

In general, a layer is activated if the eyeball is on in the timeline panel. It is active if the layer is activated and that the model currently is between the points layer and output. You can control the active state. The active state is determined by the active state, in and out of the points and the current time.

There are some exceptions (audio layers, other layers prone, etc.), but that's about all.

  • Network discovery cannot be activated, windows 7 Home premium.

This problem is very simple to describe, but I do have a lot of time I can't find a solution. Help appreciated.

In the network and sharing Center, advanced screen sharing, there is the option to turn on network discovery and file/printer sharing.

When I put one or both these on 'on' and click on 'save changes', the screen closes without guest or delay. If I open the screen again two options are always on 'off '.

I checked that the services concerned (DNS Client, Function Discovery Resource Publication, discovery SSDP and UPnP device host) are started and they are.

    Tried to reboot, windows update.
Network troubleshooting is, as always, useless.

I suspect that maybe some third party software plays a role here. I checked for malware and removing applications with a network component.

This is probably related. I get an error 0 x 00000001, when I try and share a local printer.

Manager tasks shows a two process named csrss.exe running, 936 kb, the other is 6532 KB. A matter of concern?

All the machines in my LAN on the same workgroup. Not in a homegroup.
    Advice appreciated!

Complete required wipe problem and re - install to correct.

  • iPhone 6 more issues activation and network on the latest iOS 9.3.2

I have an iPhone 6 it is having problems with Activation and networking connectivity. I activated via iTunes and updated to the latest iOS 9.3.2 this morning. The phone remain active for a period of time and then come back to need activation.

Using WiFi it is full bars but no connection. I'm typing this from my iPad on the same WiFi connection, so not the network. If I turn off WiFi and cell there still no connection. The phone will receive calls (even when stuck in the activation state) and can make calls after you have enabled from iTunes.  She was released a couple of times, but always the same question.

I tried to erase and reload from iTunes to the top, but the restore function requires that find my iPhone service shut down on the phone and this step requires access to complete network.

    Try the following steps:

    • Try connecting your device to your computer and launch iTunes. Choose your device and click on summary > update.
    • If this does not work, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer and restart your computer.
    • When it restarts load iTunes and try to select your device and click on summary > update again.
    • If this does not work, it's time to try a restore. Press and hold the sleep/wake and home buttons on your iPad or your iPhone until iTunes gives you the option to restore your device.
    • When it's over, you can restore a backup, and you should be good to go with 9.3 running iOS.

    Debugging

The issue seems to be with vmnet-natd(8) does not not res_init.c correctly.

    https://sourceware.org/git/gitweb.cgi?p=glibc.git;a=history;f=resolv/res_init.c; HB = 5e7fdabd7df1fc6c56d104e61390bf5a6b526c38

My guess is that these are the changes that broke it.

    https://sourceware.org/git/gitweb.cgi?p=glibc.git;a=blobdiff;f=resolv/res_init.c;h=02590fb1fdbb15c9ff20295d7a96d2d426752...

There are approximately only ten calls where res_init.c is used, so it shouldn't be too hard to debug. The only problem is that vmnet-natd(8) is stripped; If someone could send me the symbols or a binary not stripped, it would be great.

  • DHCP is not enabled for wireless network

    Hi all

I have problems with internet connection and a large part of the time, that Network Diagnostics says Windows "DHCP is not enabled for wireless network", then it solves a problem, but I lose the connection several times a day, and each time that do the same fix again.

I checked the Device Manager settings and DHCP is started and set to automatic, I also ran CMD > ipconfig/all and can paste the results if need be.

I use a VPN and never had any prior issued connection with it and it seems to be just as hard to connect if the VPN is enabled or disabled.

Also recently I got the "security defender" virus which has been deleted successfully, the next day of the day it has been deleted, all network cards have messed up, I uninstalled and reinstalled them but that didn't work so I restored my system and that seems to fix the problem, my computer does not seem to run as fast after the virus as before so I wonder if it has an impact on my current problem.

I use a Toshiba Satellite Pro 660D and Windows 7.

  • How can I add a static ip address on an active NETWORK of DHCP?

I find it difficult to live, why is there a way to add a static ip address to a NETWORK adapter that is active DHCP?

Windows always kick punch in the face, that was possible in previous versions of Windows, but MS decided to do my and many others life a bit more difficult and frustrating.
Which takes a few minutes in a system * nix is not possible in Windows?
I want to add a static ip address to all my computers in my house (about 10) without having to install a local DHCP server, for the reason I want a public ip address to all my computers (servers) witch my ISP provides. Even if I want a LAN for security reasons.
And this should be possible without any new purchase of network equipment and so on.
Why Windows users is more frustrated than others? Not difficult to understand.

    2. I had to download 4.02 full installation, seemed to work but now the network card in Windows 7 VM believes that the network cable is unplugged.

Your credit upgrde first 4 executed mainly GUI of much better and faster response.  I've been a happy customer, but 4.02 totally destroyed my work schedule!

I tried NAT, bridged, all options; no luck.  I deleted the Windows 7 device driver to force a reinstall; no luck. Tried to re install tools VMwre; no luck.

    What is wth 4.02.

Log in-app upgrade VMware crash attached.

Some time, the network failed because the process of the network does not work. Open the activity monitor and filter if there are 6 vmnet process. (vmnet-netifup, vmnet-dhcpd, vmnet-bridge, vmnet-natd(8)) Usually, a reboot of the fusion of host and relanuch Mac will bring back all these processes, please give it a try.

  • Wireless is not currently enabled on Qosmio x 500-10T

The following refers to a Toshiba Qosmio x 500-10T operating under Windows 7 64-bit.

If I go to manage wireless networks wireless tells me is not currently activated when all the drivers, etc... consent and running.

Any ideas how to activate the wireless card?

    Hey Buddy,

If the wireless network adapter is currently disabled you must enable it and that s.

Therefore, use the hardware switch on the front of your laptop. The switch must be on IT.
FN + F8 key combination can also enable/disable the WLAN functionality.

    Check this box!
