Network with ethernet on my Satellite password?

I connect my Toshiba Satellite ethernet port real
on my desk. I clicked on see my computers from the network view work places
Computer toshiba laptop, I saw when I try to enter to computer toshiba laptop, it asks the password.
Also, when I try to enter my office on my computer toshiba laptop it ask password again.

I did not set any password on both computers.
How can I learn that passwords or how can I change?

Hello

I put t know what password it might be.
I have connected my two books several times via the Ethernet port and it worked correctly.
You will need to change the IP address in the TCP/IP Protocol on two laptops:
i.e. 192.168.2.1 and 192.168.2.2
On two laptops must be set the exactly the same workgroup name.
Also, change the folder permissions on the folders that you want to share.
Then everything works and you should get permission to enter the folder on another laptop

I have an undesirable on the 1st floor, connected to the cable modem Ethernet event. I want to connect that AE to an another AE on 2nd floor with ethernet cable AND have a 3rd AE on the 1st floor to receive music through AirPlay wireless. I thought that linking the two first AEs with ethernet would improve the performance of web site on my iMac desktop, which is on the 2nd floor and connects to the 2nd floor AE via wifi. The EI the first two are newer model (MC414LL/A); the 3rd AE is old model (MB321LL/A) and is connected to a stereo Bose with a mini-jack to RCA cable double cord. I tried to set up this network using AirPort Utility, but have had no success. I don't know if it is possible to do what I want to do; and if this is the case, I don't know how to set the various parameters for each AE using AirPort Utility. I've temporarily implemented a purely wireless network; Do not connect DO NOT the two AEs with ethernet and everything works. I would enjoy my plan as above, or if I hold with purely network wireless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using ethernet network roaming between the two floors is a much better idea than anything wireless.

The installation should be automagical if you start with the two AE plugged in by ethernet.

It must be configured in standard roaming with identical names wireless.

Given that all routers are interconnected by Ethernet, you don't want to configure AirPort Extreme to "Extend a wireless network." This option should be used only if the connection between the wireless base stations. Instead, the two base stations must be configured to "create a wireless network.  This is because that, with them all connected by Ethernet, you have the basis for a network of mobile type.

With this type of network, each router will broadcast their own Wi - Fi network, but because they will all use the same network name (SSID) and use the same type of wireless security and the password, all the wireless clients will see them as network «one»

This can be entered as 5 or 13 characters ascii or hexadecimal 10 or 26. "what does this error message mean and how do I address so that I can access the wireless network?

I used to not get this message; but, now, it may be impossible, sometimes to call all wireless providers when I might only need for a short period or after hours service opening.

In addition, it is my computer that requires the network password to be different, not the provider of wireless. A password is given to me who works for other users, but my computer won't let me use it.

Linking the means of router you can enter the IP base of the router in an address bar in one go, being able to connect, see and configure the router menus (extended to the wireless router manual should explain how to do).

If it will not connect to your wireless router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

  • Hi dear, I just set up my connection wireless network with password

    Hi dear,

I just set up my network with password wireless connection and configure my router on the IP 192.168.1.2. , but to be

honest im not sure person cannot access my network and record everything I have on my computr.is is it safe? Please tell me know if you

    don't know.

    Hi saba161,

If you have the security key settings of the wireless network that turns on encryption. With encryption, people cannot connect to your network without the security key. In addition, any information that is sent on your network is encrypted so that only computers that have the key to decrypt the information can read it. This can help prevent attempts to access your network and your files without your permission. Common wireless network encryption methods are Wi Fi Protected Access (WPA) and WPA2.

Safety is always important; with a wireless network, it is still more important, because your network's signal could go beyond the boundaries of your home. If you don't secure your network, people with computers nearby may be able to access the information stored on computers on your network and use your Internet connection to get on the web.

  • Extend my extreme network with another extreme - waiting for internet access

Hello - I have a new generation Airport Extreme (let's call it Extreme1) connected to a Comcast modem and it works very well. The extreme will be the router that the modem has no router function. I'm trying to expand my network to another room with another extreme (let's call it Extreme2). I have a connection cable between two rooms. Extreme1 has an ethernet cable from one of its LAN ports connected on port WAN Extreme2. When I try to create a new network with Extreme2 (in aid of the same name, passwords, etc.) it does not work. He was suspended at the end when he is looking for a connection ("Waiting for internet access")-I did the following things based on what I read here:

    1. Changed IPv6 link local parameters
    2. Tried the whole upward on my Macbook and tried on my iphone
    3. The Wan first and then tried to change the configuration after you done for Extreme2 by creating a network
    4. Tried to create a network with Extreme2 connected directly to the modem
    5. Extreme2 factory reset after every attepmt

And nothing works. Kicker is, I also have a reasonably new airport express and the same thing happens to her as well.

Do I need to adjust some parameters of network that I'm not aware of? Is it possible that my LAN ports are disabled on Extreme2? It is brand new.

    Thanks for any help.

Have you used the Apple Setup Assistant?  If you did, it had notified you that the extreme second was being configured "add using Ethernet. The wizard will automatically configure the second airport with the appropriate settings for you.  All you have to do is enter a name of device for the second AirPort Extreme.

Here I'm assuming that you reset the second extreme to parameters by default until you set it up again and that your second Extreme is the current version of the "tower" or that of previous versions "flat or square.

The example below shows an AirPort Express as the device which is the extension of the network, but you will see the name of your network and AirPort Extreme on your configuration screen.

Post back if you need some tips on using the "Wizard" for your configuration.

  • Cannot access the internet with WRT54G hung Hughsnet Satellite HN9000 modem

I tried to configure my router to work with my Hughesnet HN9000 satellite modem WRT54G and my desktop tray.  I have a Gateway PC and am using Windows XP. I had worked in the past but came out the router for a few months when my portable wireless is dead. Now, I can not the desktop computer to access the internet with the router in place so I can set it up. The cables are all plugged in right. Cable from the modem to the internet port on the router and the Router 1 port Ethernet cable or 4 for desktop.  I cycled all over and outside. I can access the internet fine if I have the modem connected directly to my computer so I know that I have an internet connection. Hughsnet says it's the router. Because it is out of warranty, I can't get any help from Lynksis. I ran the set up disk Lynksis. I suspect that error messages I receive it has something to do with the IP address. But if I can't access the internet how can I do anything with the IP address of the router?  I'm not very experienced when it comes to the routers and network settings. Anyone has any comments that could help. I should be able to figure it all out if I can get just the router connected to the internet. . Thank you...

Thanks, I found the problem. The Ehernet cable plug was defective. It would work on the Satellite modem, but not the router because of the localities of diffétent and different stress on the card. Changed the cable and everything works fine now.  Thank you.

  • Network with 2 TC will not work

I have a Time Capsule (A1470) set up as main router connected to my modem fiber, and it works perfect except wifi poor in some room 2 second floor.

I wish to connect a second Capsule (A1409) to main TC to get better wifi on the 2. Floor.

And I tried tracking these instructions from Apple (it is in Swedish):

    https://support.Apple.com/SV-se/HT202056

    https://support.Apple.com/SV-se/HT204616

    https://support.Apple.com/SV-se/HT204617

And connect the second TC with Ethernet or wifi for main TC, but the result is the same. The network stop working or in the best case, it reeeaalyyyy get slooowwww.

I used the tool to the airport on an air of MB (mid-2013) OS X 10.11.4.

What is the problem and how can I set up this configuration with 2 TC to work?

I wish to connect a second Capsule (A1409) to main TC to get better wifi on the 2. Floor.

The second TC will connect to the first CT using wired Ethernet wired, Permanent?

    or

The second TC will connect to the first TC using a Wi - Fi connection?

If possible... for best performance... the second TC will connect to the first TC using a wired Ethernet connection?

Unfortunately, Apple support documents that you reference are almost 4 years and do not apply the new operating system of El Capitan (10.11.4) you use, this is probably the cause of your difficulties.

  • Invisible ESSId with a special character - Satellite M40

    Hello

    I have a Satellite M40 with a card atheros AR5005g wireless.
I have a wireless network with WPA2-PSK encryption. The ssid looks like this: g4s8j6b-extraordinary character-o7v35s7gt3q1c6b8
With the latest version of the driver, it is impossible to see one ssid to connect to this network.
I tried a USB of Atlantis wireless adapter and it can find the wirelessnetwork (I can not connect because the USB adapter is not supported WPA2-PSK)

For me it is the problem of driving. How can I solve this problem? This 'special character' is not recognizing drivers isn't? is it possible to convert the ssid in the HEX code and insert the ssid in hexadecimal and hexadecimal key in a data to force the connection? (manual connection like Linux)

    your faithfully

Oh this forum does not support the character... it looks like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%9F
    (Unicode U + 00DF)

That the SSID is very long. Have you tried to use a shorter SSID?

  • network unidentified Ethernet / without Internet / public network

    Help, please!

I can't connect to any device through the ethernet cable on my laptop (Windows 7 ultimate)

I am currently trying Internet share my connection wirelessly with my panasonic tv but I am unable to do so. The funny thing is that the laptop can see tv as a media device and can spread via home sharing (occasionally) but when it is connected via an ethernet cable is a network not identified without internet access and stuck as a public network.

The trouble is that I have connected my xbox 360 to my laptop in the same way in the past and it worked without any problem at all (a few years back however and I'm not sure if it was before I upgraded to windows 7 since vista). The xbox 360 now has the same problem of a network not identified, etc.

The farthest ive come to connect my panasonic gave me an error message that there is no default gateway, but most of the time there is no activity at all.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and enough and ipconfig/flush, / renew to the prompt with nothing

Re: Fix for "Unidentified network" / no Internet access

    Solved ..................................

The problem has been solved by going into the wired adapter (Local area connection network controller) in windows Device Manager, select the device right clicking Properties, select Advanced--> property--> address--> value network and enter an address mac (OR existing checking the ipconfig/all from the command CMD prompt) then the ok button. After that the internet access was restored.

I don't know what caused this problem. with the machine in question, I did a factory restore to solve another problem that has solved the restoration and all trying to update windows discovered this problem. I don't really like this fix because it may trigger things upwards later if by chance another device has the Mac as the made-up an i.

in any case, thanks for your help - techguyisme

Oops, I forgot to say what the problem was! the mac address of the wired network adapter adapter was all zeros 00:00:00:00... (see the ipconfig/all command in the original post of exit); so I changed it to something other than zeros

  • Control access to the network with ACS device

    Hi all!

I currently have in place an Appliance, Cisco Secure ACS using Windows as main server authentication. Cisco Secure acts as a GANYMEDE server +. I have two groups defined in Cisco Secure: Netadmins and security ITD. Users of the Netadmins group need access to all switches and routers on the network. ITD security must only access async line 53 on a router 2611 for a band of a firewall and no other access to all network devices offline. How can I limit access to the Cisco Secure security ITD group to line 53 only?

My current config on this router is:

    AAA new-model

AAA authentication login netadmins group Ganymede + line

connection ITDSEC authentication group Ganymede + line of AAA.

    Hello

In the security group, I would create a Restriction of access to IP network with an entry permit. Essentially to allow access to the single port on 2611 only.

The AAA Client field is the name that you gave to the 2611 in the network config. Address will be * unless you want to restrict access to the ip or address. Port... never quite sure with async if the port value must be "async 53" or "line 53".

If you look in the pass/fail for the nas-port attribute, you'll see what that T + sends to the ACS. This should help you know what to put in the NAR.

Hello. It is possible to set up a network between a WinME computer using Win Vista or Win7?

There are two laptops that have the latest OS (Home Premium versions).

Does anyone do this? Y at - it any installation or troubleshooting, I might have to do? do I need a cable/ethernet instead of phone ports ports?

I don't want to scan the HARD drive on WinME computer for malicious software and be able to download a programme of protection for her with updates. I saw a few on cnet.com.

If there is any advice that I might have, I appriciate it.

WinMe has a Council of Gigabyte GA - 7ZM Rev 2.2. Mobo IDE. PCI expansion slots.

The short answer is - maybe.

I added a network adapter on a WinMe PC a few years ago so I could connect to a WinXP PC.  While it was a success, if I consider this now I sit and the purpose for which I use the network and then evaluate the alternative way to do the job from the list.  If you simply want to add in its storage capacity [as a backup location, just for example] then buy a USB would be cheaper, faster, less complex, more reliable, more flexible & infinitely safer.  I can't imagine what task I would now use the WinMe for that would justify the aggravation & costs of putting in place a network.  My old WinMe PC is now collecting dust, but if it has a residual interest as a storage device [though relatively very slow], I bought a hard drive for its internal drive enclosure.

    A couple of updates first:

1 the WinMe machine will be a gaping hole in your security.  Because it is not updated for the modern vulnerabilities, you will need to consider as a risk and have never connected it while all other machines are connected to a network such as the internet.  This will remain true regardless of the modern antivirus / anti-malware applications you put on it.  You need to physically remove the head whenever you connect modern laptops.

2 you will need to spend money & time to know if it works or not - there is no certainty of success.

Well, this is what you need to do: -.

1 check the "phone ports" on modern laptops.  They are actually a little bigger than the phone taken?  I think they are rather taken LAN cable.  If not then you need to buy a network card that fits into any card slots have spare.  If you are not sure, then get a LAN cable & see if it fits correctly or not.

    2. check the WinMe PC.  Is there a spare PC card slot?  It would be a slot that is 2.1 inches [5.4 cm] wide.  You will need to buy a network card for this PC and this was the only type of housing that I could get a network card for.

3 I bought a Belkin CardBus network card F5D5010.  You will need to check that its modern equivalent has drivers for WinMe as this is not guaranteed.  I found that the Belkin instructions are very good and that the parameters of the proposed system worked correctly.

4 unless you don't want to connect the WinMe for a computer laptop modern at once, you need to buy & set up a router.  You should also check that it can work with a WinMe PC.  The router must be able to manage all the settings of the system you need, but you certainly need to compare his instructions with the WinMe instructions provided by the network card that you may have to combine the two to get a positive result.

    5. If you want to only connect the WinMe to laptop modern both & you really are determined to move forward, then carry out a procedure step by step for the creation of a network of Ethernet cable of two computers between Windows 7 and Windows XP with ICS but change the proceedings with what you learn directions of the network card.  When I wrote this procedure to connect a Win7 for a Windows XP, I crushed my old notes for WinXP WinMe network and all I remember off the top of my head it's WinMe settings were practically the same, but I had to look in different places for them.

Finally, once more, the short answer is - maybe.

  • Unable to connect to a wireless network with Windows 7 computer laptop.

After resetting my router netgear wireless home network, I have not been able to access my own network with my laptop. I already had access to the internet with a wireless ethernet cable and ankles bound to the router. After reset the netgear router, I was able to access the internet from two other laptops XP and an Acer mini wireless with no problems at all. But my new laptop Toshiba with Windows 7 could not connect, even if he could detect the network. I tried all day even resort to the ethernet socket and wireless cable, but even that would no longer work. I was able to connect using this same cable attached.

    Hello

Seems that the Wireless does not work on the Dell.

This is the process to try to find what wrong with it.

    ------------------

Assuming that wireless router is configured correctly, it is a signal and the wireless card on the computer is physically in.

    Maybe this can help.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    ------------------

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

To ensure that if there is Wireless Utility a seller is not running with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd AV/Firewall/security software part, s costume keep blocking aspects of Local traffic even it they are off (disabled).

If possible set up the firewall correctly, /Security costume otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.
