Hello

  1. Why you try to remove the wireless profiles? Are you facing any problem with the wireless connection?
  2. If you encounter the problem with wireless, which is of recent hardware or software change made to this question before?
  3. This computer is connected to the domain based network (server)?
  4. What is the number and the model of the computer?

Try the methods and check after each method:

Method 1:

(a) click on the network icon in the notification area of the taskbar, and then click Open Network and Sharing Center.

(b) in the network and sharing Center window, click manage wireless networks.

(c) remove all networks wireless listed in this list.

(d) restart and reconnect to the wireless network.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Device Manager wireless network card:

(a) open the device eating: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-Device-Manager

(b) locate the network adapters and expand the same.

c) select the Wi-Fi connection, right-click and select Uninstall.

(d) to restart the computer, if prompted.

(e) after the restart, drivers will get installed automatically.

(f) now you can install the latest wireless drivers and check if this solves the problem.

See the following article from Microsoft for more information on the update of drivers:

  • Unable to connect to a network (Windows 7) wireless

Hi, I recently installed Windows 7 (build 7000) as my main OS in my laptop. Everything works out of the box, with the exception of a few things. The most important of them is my (rtl8187b) wireless device.

After you install the operating system, the device gets recognized and installed normally with a windows driver. At home I have a secure WPA network, lets say named X.

When it gets detected I try to connect to it. After writing the network password, I get a window like the following

So I press the link Search and solve the problem , and he told me it's a question of connectivity, as I press fix of the problem, it resets my adapter and tells me that the problem was of Solver. But it does not. Any idea? I thought to install another driver for the card, but I do not know how to replace the default driver with the operating system.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello JuanPablo89,

Yes, you must install the driver appropriate for you network adapter.  You are able to replace the default driver by accessing just the manufacturer's Web site and download the driver.  Normally the package is extracted into a directory, don't forget toe do not forget this place.  Follow the wizard to install accordingly.  This process would replace your default driver.  Or, you can download the driver from the manufacturers website and extract it in a directory, remember the location.  You can enter in the Device Manager and right click on your network adapter and click Properties and select the option "update driver" do not forget to specify the location where the files were extracted.  More likely that you will be prompted with a generic driver, you may need to click on "Disk" and specify the location that you, the drivers were extracted to.  If you would please with me are soon, I'd be very happy.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

Whenever you turn on your Wi - Fi, it shows the different profiles, you can connect to. If you connect to a profile once again, these profiles might get accumulated in the framework of your wireless connection.

If you do not want some profiles, you can delete these profiles.

Follow the steps to remove these profiles.

    1. Start network and sharing Center.
    2. In the pane tasks , click manage wireless networks.

    3. Right click on the connection you want to remove and then click remove network.

    4. In the dialog manage wireless - WARNING networks , click OK.

The connection is removed from the list of wireless connections that you can view or edit.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • 40.0.3 deleted profile update

There is nothing in my profile, I had. No favorites, no history, any of my settings or addons.
He was missing the icon in my taskbar. So, looks like a complete wipe and install. Is it possible to recover bookmarks?

More rarely after an update Windows could start in a different user profile folder. Have you tried stopping and restarting Windows?

If your old profile folder has been deleted, and it is not in a folder of old data of Firefox on your desktop, you may need to use a low level undelete tool as follows:

  • Windows 8.1, why Thunderbird have profiles in username\appdata\local and username\appdata\roaming?

I searched online for how to find my address book and found an article that says to look in Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird. I have not found it, I don't have to search and found in Users\username\appdata\roaming\thunderbird. Do I the Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird directory, or is it a remnant of a previous version of Thunderbird? I would delete if I don't need.

    Background information:
When the Thunderbird program is installed it puts it here:

    • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\

or if you are using 64-bit windows, it will be here:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Thunderbird\

When you run Thunderbird, it will create a default profile, and this is where all your accounts email, address books, filters, passwords etc. are stored. Use for backup purposes.

    • C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\

Windows also creates some cache folders and files, that is stored here:

    • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Thunderbird

These files and folders do not contain any emails etc and are not necessary for backup purposes.

You can clear the cache of Thunderbird.
    Tools > clear recent history.

    Windows uses the AppData\Local.

  • My mouse wireless guard saying lost connection.  I thought that it may need a new Bluetooth card.  An idea of the cost if I do it?

My mouse wireless guard saying "lost connection".  It takes time for it to reconnect.  Wireless keyboard is OK.  Apple store said that it may need a new Bluetooth "card."  Any idea the cost if necessary.   I tried a new mouse, with the same results.  Having to use a "wired" mouse now taking a much-needed port on my iMac.

I return to the store and get a better answer. Material, of course, could be the problem. As far as I know, there is no such 'map '.

Reset the PRAM and SMC... can't hurt, might help.

Unfortunately by raising your laptop model it seems that he is not on the list to be one of the system that has drivers for Windows 10...

That said, I don't say that your computer cannot run 10, just there are questions that can be done with drivers. I would say that if your only problem with 10 is the ability to use your WIFI connection, I would say that's not bad, but there is another problem with your version of portable, i.e. If I know your serving for the i7 2630QM model, it uses the graphics card Intel HD 3000 and unfortunately this and the HD 2000 are not supported for Windows 10. Yet once this mean that you cannot access the web or check your e-mail, Facebook and Ebay. Just that if you want to play games or do something that requires chart updated, you will get an error indicating that you need to update the graphics drivers.

I wish it was as easy as finding just a missing driver. If it has been in the last 30 days, you did the update to 10, I would say that your system can work well on Win8 or 7. I would restore to your older client software...

Try the following per this KB.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/812339

Also, note, that link above is for XP. But it certainly looks like a profile problem. Here's how to create a new. Just create a new profile and delete the old one after the documents have been moved to the course.

1 / click on the Start button

2 / on the start menu, click the control panel option

3 / in the Control Panel, click the user account

4 / the user account window is now open

5 / in the list of options "Make changes to your account", click on manage another account

6 / user Account Control will now kick and ask permission to keep you. If you are the administrator, then simply click on the button continue. If you are not the administrator, then you need to get the administrator, the user name and password before you can continue.

7 / him choose the account you want to change the window will now open.

8 / click on create a new account

9 / the window "account name and choose an account type" open now

10 / type the name of the new account in the name dialog box.

11 / now select the Type of account you are interested in. You have two choice, Standard or administrator.

    • Standard - standard accounts allow the user to use most of the software installed on your computer and also to change the settings of the system that are not related to other users or is security settings.
    • Administrator - the administrator has complete control over the computer and can make changes they wish to

12 / once you have selected the type of account you want to create, click on the button create account

13 / new account will be created now.

    Hello Dixon7,

You can also do a simple check to confirm or not the temporary profiles are created.

    • First check in C:\Users for all profiles not created by your customer.
    • Then check Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > user profile > settings.
      • This will display a list of current profiles on the system.

Also, take a look on Microsoft for the Windows Vista KB Article, to see if it applies to your case: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215.

Overall, the underlying issue is simply corruption profiles of Hordie recommendation to create a new profile if the best. You could then just migrate the older user profile data to the new.
