New Application... New user to DB?

Hello

Running planning 11.1.2.1.

I encountered some problems on trying to create a new application, using a new data source, but the source of data using an existing DB user. Each of our 3 current applications available to us after implementation of the external company have their own user unique db and the data source.

Is - this required/recommended to have a user unique db for each data source, or it shouldn't matter? Some examples of problems experienced:

LCM for copying a dimension of source app app newly created (the two datasource reference same user db), copy somehow erased the source Sun members.
Tried to manually add members to source Sun and received some 'object already exists' errors.
In LCM, tried to use a backup of production app as a source for the original in dev app and receive errors such as "table or view does not exist ', 'SQL has failed..."
Dimensions in the original in dev app now seem to have lost all members


Currently, get our dba to check the logs of planning to see if all that jumps, probably just goes back to a backup to solve the problems, but would appreciate direction on my original request so as to avoid future problems.

Each application will need a separate database/schema, you do not mention the type of database Oracle, SQL Server
If it's Oracle, then each planning application will require a separate schema.
If it is SQL Server and each application requires its own database, a user can act on several databases.

    I set up a 'user' for my son and use parental controls.  I want to him to have access to Word for Mac, and it appears in the list of applications I can check to allow use for.  However, when we opened a session under his username, these applications do not seem to be anywhere.  When you configure new users, applications such as Word for Mac or the available Pages on users?  I can't find any information to help in this regard.  I don't know if I'm missing something under user put up, or parental controls, or both.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    These requests should be made available, provided you installed then in the folder/applications, not in a private folder ~/Applications for a specific user.

  • Cannot create a new user account

    Hello and good evening,

    I have a laptop HP Pavilion I've had for about a month. I was creating a HP recovery disk. As I didn't have the right amount of available disks, I cancelled it. The next time I went to do the same thing, there was a message in the HP support assistant saying that the recovery disk was no longer available.  So I created an image of the system in case I ever needed to recover my OS. It was stored on drive C. I copied and pasted into the recovery d drive [I don't know if you can do].

    Anyway, some things have changed after I created the image of the system. The C: disk OS folder has been renamed Windows C:.

    I felt a little uncomfortable about the whole, so I thought that I create another user account. Hoping that this would also restore my HP Recovery disk.

    In any case, I went to do this and all seems to be OK, install applications and so on, until he came to a blue screen that says "Please wait". He remained on the screen for about 2 hours, after which the battery was flat. I repowered it and he started upward. He returned the same screen. I took the battery and plugged a USB based recovery disk. This led me to the Welcome screen, and I could log into my original user account.

    I'm not game to try again to create another user account in case something terrible happens and it does not restart.

    What should I do?

    1. create another user account give back me my recovery drive originalHP?

    2 could have another go to make him a corruption on my hard drive?

    I don't know if it's an HP or a problem of Windows 8, so I posted both.

    Hi jcdck,

    I see that you have some problems with your recovery disk. Create a new user account won't get your recovery disk. The same file structure will be implemented regardless of the user account. You should not generally be copy or save anything on the recovery disk.

    You should be able to restore your PC to factory settings , but you need to back up personal files on an external drive or burn to a CD. It might not get your recovery back disc because this isn't the Windows function of HP.

    Your only other option is to order the recovery CD for your model. If you can provide me with your product number I should be able to get your link to order. Are which country you located?

  • I have the new apple TV, and he had the new user interface.  Friday he returned to the old version of apple TV user interface.  Anyone know why this could have happened

    This is a silly question, but I'm not too tech savvy.  I don't know I have changed something somewhere.  I have the new Apple TV, and he had the new user interface, which means that the appearance of the applications using the applications, example, scroll down to Netflix, Netflix, etc. to research.  This weekend he returned to the UI I've seen on my old Apple TV. Does anyone know why this could have happened and how I me the new interface to return?  I did a reset to the original values Apple TV and it did not work.  The tvOS is 9.1 (13U85).

    Do you mean that you have an apple tv4, but he has a home screen display from the older ATV 2/3?  You can attach a screenshot?

    I have never heard of it and don't know how it is possible that they run entirely new software on the ATV4...

  • I can't create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service has no logon

    I tried to create a new user account, but I get the following error when I try to open a session with him:

    the user profile service service has no logon

    Until I leave than anything more I will add that I activated the hidden administrator account and this is the account I use to create a new standard user account.

    Most of the patches for this issue are due to the fact that delete manually a user account does not remove the registry key that are associated, and you are required to go to the next section of the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\PROFILELIST

    and delete the key associated with the user account to be deleted.

    This fix IS NOT help, because whenever I try to create a new user, Windows doesn't bother creating a registry key to the new user.  The new user account appears in the account management window.  If I right click ondesktop and select Properties, then the settings , select the Advanced tab and click settingsunder USER PROFILES, the new account appears not here no more.

    It is a huge problem.  I have other people who use this laptop and I don't want to use my login information, or the guest account.  I'm not editing the registry just to make a new account.

    Please tell me there is a fix for this that works.  Windows 7 was not free, and this kind of problem is very frustrating for the premium software.

    Two files in the folder C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live could not be copied without administrator privileges.  This caused the connection in the attempt fail for all newly created user accounts.  The files are:

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Bici\Bici1_00.sqm

    and

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm

    I've added the read permission for all users in these two files and retried the logon.  The opening of session proceeded set up initial user and filled perfectly.  Probably, this problem started when I installed Windows Live Messenger which is the only Windows Live application, I installed.

    Other important in your message board was to check the event log which stressed the two files which could not copy.  Otherwise provided in WARNING messages immediately preceded files event log error message indicates that the profile service could not connect.

    I have an installation of Windows 7 SP1 64-bit randomly acquired a new user account scrambled to restart (Standard permissions).

    I restarted my PC a few hours earlier, that to have a completely random user account appear. The user account name is:

    I found this a bit disturbing.

    The security configuration:

    -ESET Smart Security 8 (he has no active anti-theft but it has already created his account a anti-theft couple months ago). I checked the portal of the protection against theft and the name of the user account is not listed there.

    -All critical and important updates are enabled. Antivirus definitions are up to date.

    -HitmanPro (the second opinion scan on demand), HitmanPro.Alert (similar to EMET).

    -Flash is up to date, no JRE, all browsers are updated (Firefox is 38.0.5).

    During the restart of my PC (before the user account appeared), I think that trust certificates have been updated. Something hung before reboot and I was browsing the event log. I will paste the results below. In the meantime, I'll run some virus scans. Is Mode safe mode w / networking necessary?

    I have had the same problem since I got my 3 Surface Pro running Windows Pro 8.1.  The problem still occurs after the installation of Windows 10.  Oddly enough, I'm also under 8 ESET with installed anti-theft. I wonder if it is the source of the problems.

    I continue to delete accounts, but they continue to come back.l

    I ran several security with 8 ESET and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scans and everything seems to be clean.

    I'll try and disable the function of protection against theft of ESET to see if that makes a difference.

  • Microsoft Office not installed in the new user account

    I recently installed Microsoft Office 2013 month last on my Windows 7 PC.  A few days ago, I created a new user account, but for some reason, Microsoft Office is not installed on this account.  It still works fine on other accounts of 2 user on my PC, but it's just a nuisance to have to switch between user accounts to use Office.  Is anyway to fix this?  I tried to fix it on my account, but nothing seems to have happened.

    On Windows, applications are installed in all accounts. You will find some MS Office by clicking on the Globe to start / all programs, and then scroll down.

    I have a HP Pavilion M7357C media center edition on XP. As indicated above, Quicken 2006 "New User Edition" came pre-installed and must now be reinstalled. As a result of it being preinstalled, I have no installation CD. The recovery disks when the years of PC there is first of all, I did not helped. I searched the internet for solutions and came up empty. After spending many hours, everything I tried says that the application should be reinstalled.

    Does anyone know if HP provides installation for cases like this a CD?

    Salvation; Steve:

    You will not be able to get an HP installation disk or elsewhere that I know.

    However, if you did not remove the folder in C:\SWSetup, it is very possible that the installation for your program files are in one of the folders.

    The C:\SWSetup folder contains most of the installation of your program files and driver.

    I always get used to copy this complete folder on a hard drive portable.

    I don't know what you mean by "appendices".

    You can create a contact phone number will contain a break, then continues the other numbers and then wait for a click from you and then continues again.

  • I can't add a new user in my account Administration Panel, why?

    I have been using professional DPS for awhile, but now I'm struggling with it. I was able to create new users and create then assigned the user to the applications that I added before, but now I can not do it more.

    With the help of OBIEE 11g, everytime I try and create a new user or group in the administration Console, it allows me to type the name and description, but when I click 'Ok' to save, the console heading to an error page that says:

    Firefox can't find the server at [2002.


    In IE, it just says: the address is not valid

    I checked the logs, but have not seen everything about it.

    Can I change an existing user or group very well.

    I also tried to restart the server, but it always does.

    Open the Console - servers--> server - general Admin check the listen address and Machine name how it is configured

    Listen Address says (Weblogic guide):

    IP address or DNS name this server uses to listen for incoming connections.

    The servers are accessible through the following URL:
    Protocol://listen-address:listen - port

    Any channel network that you set up for this server may substitute this listening address.

    If listening address of a server is not defined, guests can reach the server through an IP address of the computer that hosts the server, a DNS name that corresponds to the host or localhost string. The localhost string can be used only for applications for clients running on the same computer as the server.

    If you want to limit the valid addresses for a server instance, specify one of the following:

    • If you provide an IP address, clients can specify the IP address or a DNS name that corresponds to the IP address. Clients that specify an IP address and try to connect via a SSL port must disable host name checking.
    • If you provide a DNS name, customers can specify the DNS name or the corresponding IP address.

    Don't let the address listen not defined on a computer that uses several IP (a multihomed computer) address. On such a computer, the server binds to all available IP addresses.

  • New user created does not all data in reports

    Hi all

    I use Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.1. I have a problem when I created a new user in the system through shared Services. Reports are reports and analysis reports.

    I have reproduced a current user of the system and applied the same groups and provisions. However, the new user may not display all the data in the reports. However, the current user is able to do. I'm quite literally baffled.

    The existing user has been given to the provision of "Planner". In addition, the existing user has dimension security applied as well. It works very well with the existing user, as when I connect as long as existing user, the data is available only for groups and dimensions that it has been assigned to. But when I apply the same groups and provisions to the newly created user, I get absolutely no data, although I can see the report.

    But if I ask the Essbase Cluster: provision of administrator to the new user, all data is viewable in the reports, regardless of the dimension of security.

    I'd appreciate emergency assistance to get this issue resolved.

    Go to EAS, then continue with your application/db and view filters, I guess that for previous users filters?
    If so your new user has filters, if maybe you need to refresh the security filter, of planning.
