Preinstalled Quicken 2006 "New User Edition" must be re-installed...

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion M7357C media center edition on XP. As indicated above, Quicken 2006 "New User Edition" came pre-installed and must now be reinstalled. As a result of it being preinstalled, I have no installation CD. The recovery disks when the years of PC there is first of all, I did not helped. I searched the internet for solutions and came up empty. After spending many hours, everything I tried says that the application should be reinstalled.

Does anyone know if HP provides installation for cases like this a CD?

Thank you

Steve

Salvation; Steve:

You will not be able to get an HP installation disk or elsewhere that I know.

However, if you did not remove the folder in C:\SWSetup, it is very possible that the installation for your program files are in one of the folders.

The C:\SWSetup folder contains most of the installation of your program files and driver.

I always get used to copy this complete folder on a hard drive portable.

  • the profile user account folder can be renamed instead of create a new user account

I noticed this issue posted everywhere that none got the answer, the person posting was looking for.  Basically, the question is "can the folder of the user profile account be renamed? '...  I have the same problem.  I sent a PC in for repair.  They reloaded the operating system and created the new test user account.  Rather than just create a new user account, I've renamed the test NAME user account.  I couldn't help but notice later that user account folder name has remained the same "TEST".  That's why you have people to ask the question "can the folder of the user profile account be renamed instead of create a new user account."  It of an easy fix but does not answer the question.

It is not usually. If you have a computer, why not have just him take care of it for you instead of friction top yourself? ;-)

Try this instead if you really must do it yourself:

    1. create a new administrator account. Call it 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar. You definitely want to have an administrative user account like this set up that you will use not except for emergency situations. You will use this in the elevation of privileges in your daily report - which will be a Standard account - but will not need to connect to CompAdmin after that company copy unless something goes terribly wrong. ;-)

    2. create a new user account Standard for your daily work. This called something that makes you happy. I don't know your real name, so I'll call it "HDXer". Connect to HDXer to create the profile files/folders.

    3. connect to CompAdmin and:

    a. Control Panel > everything on the control panel > Folder Options

    b. click on the view tab, click hidden files and folders, clear the Hide protected operating system files check box and then click OK. Now you can see everything.

    c. using Windows Explorer ("computer"), search for the file C:\Users\Test.

    d. Select all files and folders in this folder, except the following files: Ntuser.dat, Ntuser.dat.log and Ntuser.ini.

    e. click on the Edit menu and then click on copy. If you don't see the Edit menu, press ALT.

    f. Locate the C:\Users\HDXer folder.

    g. click the Edit menu and then click on paste. If you don't see the Edit menu, press ALT.

Sign out and then sign back in as a HDXer. All your stuff should be there. You need to configure your icons and wallpaper (Control Panel > Personalize) and some preferences have been postponed, but really with the exception of the email all your data, Favorites, etc., should now be at the HDXer.

If you have messages in an e-mail program, such as Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird or Outlook, you must import your e-mail messages and addresses to the new user profile before you delete the old profile. Because I don't know what you use for email, I can't give you the details about it. If everything is working properly, you can remove the old Test profile by using the user accounts applet in Control Panel. It won't hurt anything to make you leave the trial on the system for a while, or even forever.

  • Add a new user of Runtime

I googled and was looking for a documentation with a few images/image of how to add a new user to tide but some not found. I was wondering if any of you can give me a screenshot of how to add a new user to tide. my access does not add/edit a runtime user.

    Thank you very much
    Warren

    Hey Warren,

You should communicate with a person with security privileges to grant you access to adding/changing user tide

Once granted, you should then be able to add users - start clicking on the box with the Green more on top to add a new user.

    User/group name = user/group name

Full name = family name, first name

Domain = AD, empty if Unix, or domain name

Then select security policy: Super users, Runtime user only or other

Users of runtime tab to specify which TIME users access the user/group, the agent tab to specify which users DURATION agent has access. Another tab allows you to specify the telephone number, electronic address of the group/user. If the runtime user needs to connect to a Windows agent, then the windows / FTP password field must be filled in the password tab. And if the runtime user needs to connect to a Unix agent, then the password fields can be left white.

    Just give it a try.

  • How can I create a new user account any movement towards it and delete the old

Win7 need to create a new user ACCT. move all the Info for it because want to rename the computer, and then delete the old user account

To create a new user profile

To create a new profile, you must first create a new user account. When the account is created, a profile will also be created.

    1. Open a user account by clicking on the button start , by clicking on the Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.

    2. Click on manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. Click on create a new account.

    4. Type the name you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click on create an account.

To copy files to the new user profile

After creating the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

    1. Log on as a user other than the new user that you created or the user that you want to copy the files.

    2. Open Documents by clicking on the button start , and then clicking Documents.

    3. Click on the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.

If you don't see the Tools menu, press ALT.

    4. Click the view tab, click hidden files and folders, clear the Hide protected operating system files check box, and then click OK.

    5. Find the C:\Users\Old_Username folder, where C is the drive that Windows is installed, and where ancien_nom_utilisateur represents the name of the profile you want to copy the files to.

    6. Select all the files and folders in this folder, except the following files:

      • Ntuser.dat

      • Ntuser.dat.log

      • Ntuser.ini

    7. Click the Edit menu and then click on copy.

If you don't see the Edit menu, press ALT.

    8. Look for the C:\Users\New_Username folder, where C represents the drive Windows is installed, and New_Username is the name of the new user profile you created.

    9. Click the Edit menu and then click on paste.

If you don't see the Edit menu, press ALT.

    10. Sign out and then sign back in as a new user.

If you have messages in e-mail, such as Windows Mail, you must import your e-mail messages and addresses to the new user profile before you delete the old profile. If everything is working properly, you can delete the old profile.

  • Adding a new user - error received

When I try and add a new user to our account after entering in their Adobe ID email I got the following error: "the e-mail address entered cannot be added as a camera digital edition user for this account. Please choose a different Adobe ID or create a new Adobe ID for the user. "Any ideas on how to fix this?

This occurs when you try to add an account is already verified to work with DPS. To create an account delegate, you must add an account that has not yet been used for DPS.

If you have already created fact sheets for the Adobe ID that does not work, create a new account and add it as a delegate account and then use sharing > copy the technique to copy the folios from the old account to the new account delegate. After you have copied folios, delete shared folios, and you're ready.

  • New user account does nothing to activate the installation of CS5

    Hello

One of our workstations editing cannot install Photoshop without major errors. We used the installation disk in the original user account, but also a new user account. Since I saw posts here about the bad disks sent from Adobe, we tried the trial for installation download and this attempt also failed in another 30 days user account. We received our software about a month ago and this user must be able to really use it. It installs and launches, but with major errors as shown in the screenshots accompanying:

    Picture 1.png

    Picture 2.png

The second screenshot is just to show the information at the bottom of the error field, after scrolling down.

-What do you think we should do next? Continue to use CS4 and ask for a refund?

    Hello

It would be useful to circumscribe the problem, if you could post the Installer log located at

    / Library/Logs/Adobe/installers

Also you can check if the following files exist on your computer?

    1 /etc/mach_init_per_user.d/

    2 / library/LaunchDaemons

If this isn't the case, then you may want to try to create these folders manually and then try the installation again.

    Good luck!

This could be related to how you start Firefox.

If you set to reopen your previous session windows and tabs in Firefox, then close Firefox on the current edition of the journal, Firefox can resume exactly where you left it without updating the site.

However, if you do log your homepage and launch Firefox to your home page, Firefox usually must check the updates.

If you want to keep the session restore, but have the update page, you might need an add-on to reload.

  • How to program the shift register to play only when a new user is detected user?

    Hello

I'm currently developing a program of position control in labview. The program is quite simple, in which case the user will enter the distance on which he wants the table in the labview program and labview will send the signal to move a motor that will turn a ball screw to move a table horizontally to the targeted position. The criterion is that the profile of the engine depends on the distance to move, if a biphase (acceleration and deceleration) or three phase (acceleration, steady speed, deceleration) to reach the position of the target.

The problem occurs when the user wants to enter a new entry second position) for the table, as the input by the user is the position that the table should be, but the necessary input to determine what profile the engine follows depends on the distance that the table moves to the target position. Therefore, I need a function to save the entry by the user temporarily and reminds that when a new user input is detected. Hereby, I would be able to use the difference of the input (input [n + 1] [n] input) and animal feed to determine what profile the engine follows and the entry by the user can be kept in the position he wants to the table to get (to compare with encoder).

I thought to use for shift registers do, but I am not able to perform the deduction ([n + 1] - [n]) only when it detects a new entry. When I try to use registry to offset, it moves to the target location, and we only reached it will go to the original position. For example, when a user entry 90, this means that the table must be moved to the point 90. The shift register is initialized to 0, it will move to the point 90 (90-0 = 90), but arriving at 90, the shift register sends a signal of 90 (90-90 = 0) and the table back to its original position.

Is it possible that I can delay the reading of the shift register only when a new entry is detected or there at - it another way for me to achieve what I want?

I tried searching the forum site and neither discussion but could not find similar problems. Thank you for your help in advance.

As I understand it, the use of shift registers with a structure of the event (to detect a user event when the user enters a new value) should solve the problem. Do not forget to post your request (or a version of it that isolates the issue) when you arrive at the lab, if we can get a clear visual of the issue you are facing.

  • I went to set up a new user account, but it deleted my old one with all my files. What can I do?

I've just set up a new user account for someone else, but now I can access is no longer my own user account that had all of my files, pic, and setting.  How can I get this back account that has all my files on it?

Initially, you were using the original built-in Administrator account.  When you do this and create a new user, the built in Administrator account becomes hidden (but it's still there).  It seems that you are OK with that, but you want your files transferred to your new user profile.  In this case, you must follow the same procedure as you would if the old profile was corrupted.  To claim that the administrator account has been corrupted, and then follow the steps in the following article:

  • I created a new user account, but it does not appear to connect to it. (Vista Home Premium)

I read another post that said to try to restart in safe mode, what I tried without success.

I also don't get no error messages, so I was not trying to fix anything, given that I'm not sure it's broken and I don't want to do something worse.  I only use this computer and Vista for a few days now, so I hope it's something simple I'm missing because I am not yet familiar with the operating system.
