New blackBerry Blackberry Smartphones - a bit confused!

I just got my new Blackberry Curve 8900 and I am a little uncertain, how long I am supposed to first load the phone for? Anyone know?

Actually, I meant when you first get and get out of the box as your destiny to load more normal (IE 10 hours). Thanks anyway

Turn off the 'Wireless' to disable your network connection.

If you turn your wireless market, you have a network connection.

  • Transfer contacts from blackBerry to a new BlackBerry Smartphones

Everything that I gave away my old BlackBerry Bold 9000 is the backup IPD files (I have the phone).   Can I transfer contacts from these backup files in my new BlackBerry Bold 9650?

Hmmm... interesting. OK... Let's try this KB:

    • KB12608 Cannot restore the address book from a backup file to a BlackBerry smartphone
  • SMS text new blackBerry Smartphones go directly into the address book

In my messages folder, when I select 'Compose SMS text' options are limited to the phone or Email and not my address book. I change all the settings, this just appeared out of the blue. Could someone here help?

I'm a bit confused by your statement, you can try and rephrase it please

In the meantime, try a battery Pull:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

Hi @Jenny7733! Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

You will need to perform an erasure of security on the device first before you can connect with a new BlackBerry ID credentials Please see: How to delete all data and applications from the smart phone BlackBerry with the optio security wipe...

Don't forget to make a backup because it will erase all your data. Good luck!

  • New BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry

I bought a new blackberry curve 8520 in a few weeks and I still have my previous curve 8520. I want to set up the app on the new world and I want to try to get all the old information was transferred to the new. is this possible?

Yes it is possible to transfer all of your data, such as emails, contacts, applications, etc.

Everything you have to do is connect your old device during execution (bb desktop software) and then click the (peripheral) found in the upper left corner of the application and then click on change of terminal and follow the instructions.

It backs up all data from your previous device and you will be asked of the unplug it and connect a new one to restore all your data that is quite simple and even bbm contacts will be restored too .

BB software is available on your CD to the device, or you can get the blackberry a site shape more up-to-date.

If I helped you, like him.

  • Replacement of BB Phone new blackBerry Smartphones

I had some, but not a lot of Apps on my BB lost/stolen.  Can they be transferred to new BB but how?  Maybe it's too late or I activated my BB incorrectly.  Thanks Dave

    Hi Dave,.

Assuming that you bought your applications via App World, when you receive your new BlackBerry, you can just redownload the App World as long as you use the same ID BlackBerry to connect. Download again them, go to My World and then edit the list of applications to uninstalled. You will find then all your previously purchased/installed apps, available for redownload. If you bought them through a different service, like Mobihand, you will need to submit a request to change the PIN code, but once you do this, you can re-download them as well.

In addition, if you do not already made, make sure that you make your BlackBerry as lost/stolen Bell so that they can cancel the service, etc. from your old device.

    I hope this info helps!

  • The mail icons new blackBerry Smartphones

I have no unread messages, but there are two icons of mail on the screen. One leans to the right with a red 'x' in the upper right.  The other seems normal and the number goes down I read a message.  I deleted all my messages, but said leaning box 7 and the normal box says 1.

    Thank you

If maisl isn't here as stated above then you must erase your SMS database.

To clear the TEXT completely check following the steps:

    1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
    2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    3. Double-click on the backup and restore, and then click Advanced.
    4. In the list of device databases, select the appropriate database.  For your problem, select SMS.
    5. Click clear.
    6. In the warning window, click OK.

Don't forget to have if you erase your SMS as mentioned above, then all Messages will be lost and cannot be extracted unless you have a backup.

  • Curve BlackBerry new blackBerry Smartphones 9380

Hello, I just got myself a new blackberry 9380, I put in place and put it on charge how long should I charge for the fourth time first to say different things by different people

You have even to load the first time, even if it's a good idea if the battery is close to death.

The Li - ion batteries are not as the old batteries of type or-Cad who need some charge the first time of use, they have no memory effect.

But anyway, it recharge and use it. You can load 100% and no more. So, never how long that takes...

Here's some good advice from loading, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

Hi, just got my new blackberry "BOLD", but after receiving a load of emails, I have a new email "1" symbol at the top.

I can't find the new email however, I searched records including browser and wap, messages also looked for unread emails but still nothing?  Where could else be?  It's REALLY annoying me!

    Hello

Which is usually followed by the battery pull, but try this first.

Click on the BB GO/OPTIONS/SECURITY to enter go to the firewall.

Click on, and then press menu. Select reset all counts.

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected, thanks

  • Hmm blackBerry smartphones... New on this and a bit confusing...

    Hi all

Please bear with me, the phone is new and confusing! Can I ask some stupid questions... and here go us...

I have a Curve 8320 the Orange UK network. I have successfully set up the WiFi and e-mail applications, but have a few questions:

My understanding is that when I'm in a WiFi zone, my emails are collected through-if not, they are collected via the GPRS-is this correct? (E.g. should I use WiFi before anything else?-I wonder what it's going to cost me!)

Second question. I need not the BlackBerry to collect emails constantly that I'm home a lot with my desktop computer, but it is really useful when I am absent. Is there an easy way to disable the collection of email when I don't need which can easily be re-enabled when I do? (It gets crowded very quickly at the moment.)

Last question. I get a lot of spam since I activated the Blackberry much more that I never had before. Is it possible to block? I have this Setup on my desktop, but nothing appears on the BB.

Thanks a lot for any advice you can offer!

Who has grand-answered all my questions. Thank you very much!

  • New icons of blackBerry Smartphones, I'm confused

OK guys, I'm really stupid phone... lol, I have a few new icons coming. One is a circle with a t in the middle with semicircles and its under my side of wifi and the other is new 1XEV for I never saw. Help please a girl...

Here is a list of the icons on a BlackBerry screen.  If you get anything other than these, they are probably associated with third-party apps or network.

  • Battery problem new blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi guys,.

New form and always Virgin Blackberry...

Had my Bold 9700 for a few months and no problems so far.

Use my phone for business qite a bit and have always a spare battery any phone I've had.

Expelled and received a new company from frm battery togther with charger top of page Internet.

Now, the battery looked new to me... still had the laminator.

Unpacked and put in new charger they sent me... Wells - which seems to be a waste of money... in any case as long as it remains for 15 hours, put the new battery in the phone... pulled upward and the usual black screen with progress screen appeared. The screen then turned to white... with the battery cell that appears with a red top diagonal line. The progress bar (now grey on white screen) contributes to about half and has been for about an hour, while it is connected to my original charger.

It is the accused? because now the symbol on the screen showing it is recharged. I also do not remember what happens when I've first charged by BB.

Should I just leave it plugged in for 3-4 hours?

    Ths makes sense?

Ah. It is moisture or liquid damage indicator.

Someone took. Probably not a good battery.

    Get another battery, my recommendation.
