  I just bought an SL500 and need to update my hard drive of 160 GB / 5400 RPM 250 GB / 7200 RPM. to add to the process I also wish to add/install XP PRO as main/C on the new hard drive partition. I am very familiar with cloning and upgrade, but my question is about the partition of VISTA recovery and partition of LENOVO CARE. I will be able to access these tools as I do now as long as I keep the same volume of wall letters? or y at - it somewhere that I will need to change the settings? After installing the new hard drive config will be as follows... XP PRO on the C partition. BASIC of VISTA on partition D... DVD on E (same as current)... LENOVO on (same as current) S... SERVICEV003 (same as current) q. is this a correct approach to ensure that I can continue to have the original installed tools on the new hard drive? Thank you mc

Well it took a minute, but I got things set up quite as much as I wanted to here are the links that got me here. as you suggest on the slip streaming, fortunately it is NOT necessary for the SATA controller. so for those who want to use with XP PRO SP3 SATA (in my case) with the portable computers SLxxx then pls see the Intel Matrix Storage Manager section first.

• Clone & new Config on the different data store

  Hi all

  I had a problem where the user try to clone or create a new configuration where the original VM model are stored is full.

  When the data store is almost full, I turn off the "VM creation" in the section resources, I would do this or the LM will be able to use the different data store? otherwise how can I config for the user can store data different from Julie then create a new configuration or a clone.

• C1515n new config network

  New modem/router makes this printer (an excellent color even if it has the worst 2 lines led screen found on earth over the past 50 years) unusable. Cannot figure out how to configure with the new router password. Everybody out there familiar with this? Thank you.

  I feel a little ridiculous. HP support site supported this old printer, downloaded the software driver and full support AND set up the connection itself. I am impressed. So, no need to answer if someone of you were... Thank you HP.

  We recently installed an h.323 gateway to a remote site and calls are flowing to the remote site over the WAN. I have now tried AAR configuration however, this does not work, can you help me?

  I'll put the bandwidth audio remote location from 1 to simlate the test. When I do the test call I get the following error "not enough of bandwidth.

  I made the following config in accordance with the instruction that I understood from Cisco

  1. automatic license replacing routing allow true in service settings

  2 created locations (UK & US)

  3. has created the aar_css for access to the PSTN

  4 created groups of aar with the pstn dialing rule

  5 added the UK phone to the AAR UK group and taking into account the AAR CSS access to the PSTN

  6 added line 1 (in a udp) to the AAR UK group.

  7 added the American aar group to the remote h.323 gateway

  Is that all that I'm missing?  I can provide more details if it helps?

  Yes AAR is only supported between phones registered to the same CUCM. Yes, BDP works with cisco devices. Decisions are made as you can see based on obtained information of the appellant and devices on destination. If cucm does not, he cannot call the AAR

• Wireless configuration of HP Deskjet 3050 for new config router

  Hello, I recently changed the settings on my router (SSID, WEP key) and now I discovered that my wireless printer is not connected to the network more. Before the change, I had no problem connecting to the printer, but now, the only way I can do it is via USB.

  I printed the printer wireless test report; It is said that the printer cannot find the access point. However, my router SSID is displayed in the list of detected networks.

  I tried to start the wizard without wire supplied with the CD, I couldn't do but it assumes that the configuration is over cause I already have all the software and drivers installed. I guess that by completely removing the printer drivers and software would allow me to enter the wireless assistant, but I think it should be easier and more elegant way.

  How can I launch the wireless assistant?

  Or better yet: How can I manually configure settings wireless to the printer when it is connected via USB?

  The network diagnostic utility has been of no use either, because the printer is not connected to the network.

  PS: My modem is not WPS enabled (at least I think so... it is an old model, a ZyXel Prestige 600).

  Well, I reinstalled the latest drivers and this time I had the possibility to manually set the printer's ip address and the subnet mask. Then I used the ipconfig/all command to discover these values, and finally the printer works.

  It would have been nice to have the option to do the manual configuration of the beginning...

• How to set preferences so that open new tabs to the same page that activates when the command-T has been affected?

  By opening a new tab, the default tab opens to thumbnails based on recent history. The Safari, I want the new tab to open * to the same page, as was active when command-T was hit *. What are the specific actions, to set the default value (preference), new pages to open 'same page '? ('Same page' is check in Safari preferences box).

  Note, I've sailed available Support of Mozilla and using about: config have reset browser.newtab.url so that the new tab appears empty (stop followed recent history for this purpose).

  You can't, that's why I suggested the modules above. There is no option in the user interface or preferably hidden in Firefox that can duplicate a tab whenever you open a new tab browser.newtab.url can only be set to a fixed address, what address is to be opened in the current tab.

• Whenever the downloads window is open, the browser becomes unusable. It just FREEZES. As soon as I close the downloads window, Firefox crashes instantly back. I have teinkered around subject: config, but it did nothing. Reinstall did nothing.

  Did you restart FireFox after you change the subject: config page?
  As well as to check the subject: new config for sure update to FF10 does not reset/change the previous settings altered?

• ASA erase Config commands

  I was wondering the easiest way to clear my config on an ASA 5520 and start "from scratch"... I have an old config on my ASA I'm looking clear, but the last time I tried to do I eventually remove my file asa704 - k8.bin and ended up in a world of pain. (I had worked with an older version of IOS on some routers and switches... I miss the good old erase run, beginning of erasure)

  If you already have 7.0 (x) or better installed code, then you could also get back to 'default' with the following command:

  factory default setting [IPAddress [mask]]

• Jabber-config file update on CUCM 10.5.2

  I am looking to update my jabber file - config.xml and turn on numbering URI.  I know that I need to add this:

  Couple questions.

  1. How can do a test this locally?  I tried a few different methods and they do not seem to work.  I read somewhere that the jabber config file is not stored locally, is this possible test on version 10?  All of the items that I was referencing are version 9.

  2. once I have it working locally, the best way to download and difficulty would be to connect via the operating system administrator and to download the new config.XML - jabber, overwriting the current one?

  3. to dial the URI, I'm just able to put an email address and hit call, right?  What to do now, and he will not be trying to make a call.

  I think I have everything on the configured backend, just need this piece of jabber fixed test.

  1 jabber - config.xml file is stored on the PC with the name cachedtftpconfigstore. It started of jabber version 10.6. I suppose now you want to test this locally on 1 machine and if it passes with success then you'll apply it globally. to test a local machine, download the new xml file of jabber-config on TFTP server with jabber-config name - use .xml. now mention this file name in the field of support for cisco on the device of CSF on CUCM configuration page. see this guide for syntax.

• Email from the printer

  Hello

  I put my printer email to @hpeprint.com [personal information deleted]when I installed everything first this morning, however, I went on some of the installation steps again and have removed somehow this configuration on the eprintcenter and re added the same printer that printed a new code. After putting this code in I could not change the email to my an original cos its obviously been taken (by me) so now I have the same printer out there with an email at random...

  Any ideas how to remove the email off my printer, so I can add it again under the new config?

• Satellite A - How to remove ConfigFree?

  At the start of my Satellite, I get an error of missing ini. NDSNLS.ini

  I tried to uninstall free Config and it won't let me. When you try to download for free new config tells me there is a more recent version installed and will not be contintue. How can I manually remove it from my system and Tassel to get rid of this error.

  You can try to removes the free configuration of starting Windows, and then try to uninstall or check it in the Task Manager is running. If it is running, stop it...

• Events node is empty

  I have a structure of the event that was initially very well. However, I had to change some things, so I finally remove some clusters and the creation and the rewrining. It has been redone the same just a new cluster, but it still says the Event node is empty and that the structure contains some bad wiring or is unwired. Possible reasons I could still receive this error?

  It clearly shows that the event associated with the case of the event is not available. I think you could have removed the control, please go to edit the event Structure and new config.

• Standard upgrade to a non-genuine Windows XP?

  I did a repair on Win XP installation, used one of several legitimate Win XP Professional CD with one of my several XP license keys.
  It was after a physical reconstruction, the new disk, the new config.
  This version of windows has failed the genuine validation.
  I tried a lot of mods of regedit, different keys;  none worked.
  Support says Windows XP is not supported, in addition to advice would cost me $99 and I had to upgrade to a new version of Windows.

  Question:
  A standard upgrade of Windows will work on a non-genuine Windows XP in base?
  It seems that the 'Get Windows Genuine Online' kit is a clean install, I would rather not rebuild my applications and data.

  I bought this 2 GB of http://tinyurl.com/2urvxgl key to upgrade my laptop to 4 GB. Because I mix I wanted to make sure that all manufacturers (Micron & Samsung) is very well by running CPUz diagnostics and noticed that Micron module has an additional entry in the JEDEC timing Table (it lists JEDEC #6 10.0 - 10-10-28-38 761 MHz) I also noticed the Micron stick seems to have a different number of chips on the stick of RAM too compared to the Samsung RAM.
   
  -Is this normal? -Do you think I'm getting double channel of this mix of manufacturers?
  I guess the worst case scenario is to order another Micron 2 GB stick so that I have identical, but all pairs seems OK so far.

  The speed of the memory takes by default the slowest speed. Consider yourself lucky that it starts in Windows. Most do not have that kind of luck and is frustrated to have the new memory that does not work in their notebooks.

  Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I want to be sure I'm not compromising performance by mixing RAM from different manufacturers. If additional memory is slower than the original memory then you have slowed the operations of memory and essentially lost some performance. I see it running in dual channel. It's a surprise. Lucky you!
