• Using a Time Capsule airport on a new wifi network

  I'm trying to connect my TC Airport to a new wifi network to another location. It worked very well at the original location, used to extend an existing network of wifi, connected to the router via an Ethernet cable. In the new location, I'd rather have a wireless connection. I have tried several times to do a factory reset full and then I see the TC from the airport using the Airport utility, but it does not put in place to extend the wifi network my iMac is on (he sees a nearby network as well). I just simply want to configure my TC from the airport most convenient to save my iMac! Any ideas? Thank you!

  The TC must either connect to wireless to another router from apple... or it must be connected by ethernet... he can't extend wireless any other brand.

  If all of the TC is to is to make backups of iMac... Plug it directly by ethernet on the iMac... and use this configuration.

  Time Capsule using wired for Mac for backup only.

  If you want to have as part of the network... plug in ethernet on the main router... and the backup more wireless... but it becomes a problem where the computer don't connect directly to the TC now.

  Since you have changed the locations, you will need to reinstall the drivers on your computer to connect the printer to your network.  We reinstall the printer using the latest drivers on the Canon USA site.  Before reinstalling drivers, you want to make sure that the LAN setting wireless on the printer is enabled. To do this, press the Maintenance key (it looks like a pair of pliers and screwdriver) until the symbol that looks like 'G' appears on the LCD screen, then press the button to activate the wireless LAN.

  Once the wire has been enabled, please click here to access the DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE for the PIXMA MP495 page.  Once the initial download to your model page, follow these steps:

  1. check that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop is correct and if this isn't the case, please click on the drop down menu to select your operating system.

  2. then, click the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU" section and click on the drivers of MP file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click the box below the button DOWNLOAD, and then click DOWNLOAD to start the download. The time for the download process can vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.

  Once the file is downloaded, please double-click it to reinstall the printer.  Once the drivers have been resettled, you should be able to print.

• New wireless network does not appear on any computer

  Thanks in advance for any help. OK, so I have a HP office connected to the internet through a router WRT54GS.  I had 2 laptops connected to the NICU my wireless router. A (HP) laptop has built in wireless modem/adapter.  The other laptop Dell was NICU equipped with a wireless adapter card.  The problem is that the adapter on the basically dead Dell laptop, I don't give no internet connection.  So I tried to install a more recent network card wireless linksys with speed on the cell phone booster.  The instructions asked me to press the orange button on my router Cisco access point.  I knew thatd be a problem.  While the laptop connected to the internet, my old wireless network seems to be deleted.  Installin the new card on the Dell laptop has created a connection b/t it and the router. The other laptop (HP) is now offline and not even a slate of the new network.  So I tried to create a new wireless network on the main desktop computer.   Now this new network is not detected by the wireless or portable printer.  Other networks is detected if.  Or the original linksys network is detected, Im not sure.

  OK sorry for any confusion, but my basic problem is that my new wireless network is not detected on the laptop or the printer. I tried unpluggin the router. I also tried to manually in the network settings.  I also tried to disable the firewall on my main computer. Nuthing worked. I checked the Device Manager, everything seems fine.

  My router is just old? Its at least 4 years

  NVM, I got the impression to work. just installed it on the laptop wireless.  I still can't get the 2nd adapter linksys to laptops to work. I'll ask for help in this section of the adapter.

  Assuming that wireless router is configured correctly, it is a signal and the wireless card on the computer is physically in.

  I'm in IOS 8.2 (4) on ASA 5540.  I am setting up a new config and use the Cisco VPN client.   For some reason, when I double-click the Cisco VPN client, I got the error message "secure VPN connection terminated locally by the client.  "Reason 412: the remote peer not responding."  I checked the group name and group password are configured correctly on the customer Cisco VPN and ASA.  You have any suggestions on how to fix this?

• Cannot connect C4780 to the new wireless network

  I have a HP C4780 printer. We moved recently and I am trying to install on / connect to our new wireless network (new SSID). I have Verizon FiOS, but seems not support WPS configuration connection.

  I don't have the CD that came with the printer.

  When I connect to my iMac via USB, the printer connects automatically.

  What I don't know is how to connect wireless - where to enter the SSID / WPA-2, etc.

  I tried dozens of paths of online help - I thought I had SOME clues of what I was doing, but apparently not.

  Hi mbwiles,

  I watched Cougar and found that it is Mac OS X 10.8.  The driver for 10.8 is not available for download from HP that you saw.   A Windows laptop would try to get the printer on the network and then the Mac could see.  Of course a Mac laptop with an earlier version would also work as long as the driver is available for download.

  I want to install 2 ESX 3.5 servers which will be connected to an EqualLogic iSCSI SAN.

  The SAN is on a VIRTUAL, 10.x.x.200 with a 255.255.255.224 LAN Gateway.  This VLAN is not routable, DNS servers, etc.

  What I am trying to understand, it's for the initial setup of ESX, when I set the config network (console), should I register the IP address for the VIRTUAL LAN, example was:

  IP address: 10.x.x.201

  Gateway: 255.255.255.224

  Primary DNS: white

  Secondary DNS: white

  Or, for example B, should I use our 'public' speaking:

  IP Adress:129.x.x.201

  Gateway: 255.255.255.0

  Primary DNS:129.x.x.1

  Secondary DNS: 129.x.x.2

  I know that with the VIC, I can later add vSwitches, etc., but at least for the initial installation, I want the configuration to provide smoother operation. Thanks for any idea that you can provide!

  Use example B (129.x.x.x) for the Service Console (management functions), and after that the system is in place to add an another vSwitch used to connect to the SAN VLAN.

  I changed my wi - fi for Atheros AR5b91 and hardware network card is locked.
  I can't remove this lock of wi - fi switch or fn + F8 probably it's the lock of the bios.

  I tried to unlock it on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Ubuntu, so it is not caused by software.

  To me, it seems that you used is not compatible Wlan module.

  WLan encryption is hardware based and you cannot turn it on update driver.
  If you want to use the newest WLan encryption, then you will need to use the WLan card that would provide support for these WLan encryption.

  In your case, I recommend use on USB WLan key.
  There is a better way to do mobile WPA2 compatible.
