  • Failed to set the new CSS rule for the background image

    Hello

    Maybe I've finally lost my mind... I myself find it impossible to add a background image to the header of my project portion.  I select the "header" in the property Panel section, click on "add a new CSS rule.  Curiously, DW does not in the name of the selector for me, which is probably an indication that something is wrong, but I don't know what.  I went through the steps of filling in the name of the switch by hand, choose the .jpg file and setting is like a background image, but he never takes.

    There has got to be something simple that experienced users of DW can explain.  Go ahead, experts, you out there?

    Thank you...

    When things go south, it is almost always caused by a mistake of small coding somewhere.

    Unbalanced tags are the usual suspects.

  • Add the new CSS rule

    Hello

    DW newbie here; It is my first post on the Dreamweaver forum, although I have been posting on the forums of Photoshop and illustrator years.

    Is Dreamweaver stupid question - possible to add a new style of css via the CSS styles palette only when the style sheet is opened? For some reason when I click on the new icon of styles css design mode and select tags at the bottom of the design view window, DW will not create the style. It only does when the style sheet is opened or (I'm sure) I'm doing something wrong or do not understand how create new css rule works.

    Thanks for any info.

    Click on the new icon in the rule on the CSS panel. Choose 'Tag' to the selector
    Type. Enter the name of the selector "h1". Choose where you want your rule
    defined. Click OK. Work?

  • How can I find and apply a new CSS rule

    I want to edit a css rule that currently leads the majority of my pages. The current rule is called ".twoColFixLTHdr #mainContent. The property I want to change to the new pages is the left margin of 250 pixels. I want to copy all the properties of the old rule and the new left margin change and apply this new rule CSS for only new pages.
    I was able to reproduce the old CSS rule and apply the change to the margin and rename the rule «.twoColFixLTHdr #mainContentArt» How can I find and apply this new rule to the new page?
    Thank you
    Lou

    First of all, it is always better to provide a link to your page, so people can see your code and CSS. Screenshots are rarely useful.

    If you double-click on the name of the file in the window Style CSS (you provided a jpg of it), it will bring up the interface and you can make changes to them here. If you click once, then right-click and select go to the Code, it will open the file in DW.

    I want to emphasize that these are "classes", and to apply you must identify them as such, for example

    So if you want, you can add the new class and apply it to the pages you wanted.

    I very strongly suggest you play with the code view, it will put things in a new light that makes life easeir.

  • Models and new CSS rules

    I am relatively new to web design, so it can be very simple, but I'm having a lot of trouble.

    I made a model with a navbar, body and footer header using CSS layouts, and then I did the content of the div to the body of the combo box. My understanding is that the < head > section is editable by default, but I can't make new css (for example #container #body p) rules, and I can't change the title (so each page displays "maintemplate" unless I have change in the model itself, after which he will always be the same for all pages). What I have to do something to make the head one area editable, or should I set all my possible CSS rules in the model?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    my bad, this should be in another forum.

  • Targeted rule list arrow does not appear new CSS rule? DW - CC

    I am currently enrolled in Adobe Dreamweaver for school, and because of the mistake of transition, that adobe has ever done, we are running CC using books CS6. Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 revealed by the Bishop of Sherry. I'm on Chapter 3, page 3-14 to apply a rule. With the instructions changed to CC, it is said that the number of the step 3 and 4 should work. I'm supposed to use my new rule using the target rule list arrow and the rule is not displayed in the list. I am so confused and so frustrated with Adobe at this point.  Is there advice? Am I supposed to do something with CSS and the rule so that it appears in the target rule list?  If there is more information you need to help me find a solution, ask, and I'll do my best.

    It's really a misrepresentation (and it seems a little silly, nobody has communicated with someone from Adobe to obtain the very simple fix).

    If you have a CC subscription, you also DWCS6 as part of this subscription. Here's how you get DWCS6 under CC...

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html

    I'm guessing that your admin guys don't realize that when they made the purchase. I don't know why someone might get a version of a program deleted the books that they intend to use, especially with this correct version being available via Adobe in and of itself...

    Creative Suite 6

    If they refuse to install the software that they already pay for your class can use the correct combination of program/book, an alternative would be to get rid of the CSS designer panel and return to one that more closely resembles that of DWCS6 by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + P.

  • Trying to create the new css rule?

    I'm trying to insert the image as a background and try to create the new rule css.

    the tutorial says I should make sure that check_cs6.css is selected from the context menu of rule definition.

    but my menu says "(ce document uniquement)" and the only other option is to accept "(fichier de feuille de Style New).

    It seems that your HTML document is not bound to an external style sheet again.  Somewhere in theof your document, you should see a code like this:

    "styles/check_cs6.css" rel = "stylesheet" media = "screen" type = "text/css" / >

    Where styles/check_cs6.css is the path and the name of your external style sheet.

  • New CSS selector &amp; endless clicking

    When I select an HTML element in a page, the options to create a new selector in CSS designer panel are inactive and I had to click on the source to be able to create a new css rule.

    It is quite boring and tedious. I think it would be more logical to this source selected css remain active, except if you select other, which allows to write several new rules and save us from by clicking on the "source" Panel again and again.

    Maybe I m wrong?

    Hey DeadMoon

    I think you're on the 13.0 release DW. Can you please update to 13.1. We have set this specific question about updating 13.1.

    I think that you would be happy to see this problem already!

  • Editing CSS rules in slide show

    Hello community,

    I need to create a new CSS for the Spry ContentSlideShow rule. I want the title of the news is in a different color than the rest of the text.

    secretsource.JPG

    I want the title "The Expendables" at #429af2 and the rest of the text to white. Can someone help me futher with it? I tried to create a new CSS rule by enclosing 'The Expendables' with a < div > - tag named 'headtitle', but it does not work if I insert it in the CSS of the slide show file.

    Here's the CSS code in the title "The Expendables - Unsere Kritik zum Action-Kracher!":

    . WLBSlideShow your .caption {}

    do-size: 14px;

    are-family: Verdana, Geneva, without serif.

    color: #ffd700;

    margin: 0 6px;

    line-height: 25px;

    font style: bold;

    left padding: 8px;

    position: absolute;

    top: 265px;

    }

    And here is the first part of the HTML:

    < div class = "section" >

    < div class = 'photo' > < a href = "├editer" > < img src = "Expendables_01.jpg" alt = "Expendables" / > < / a > "

    < div class = "caption" > The Expendables - Unsere Kritik zum Kracher Action! < / div >

    < / div >

    < div class = "story" >

    < div class = "banner" >

    < div class = "title" > The Expendables - Unsere Kritik zum Kracher Action! < / div >

    < div class = "subtitle" > The Expendables - Unsere Kritik zum Kracher Action! < / div >

    < / div >

    < div class = "content" >

    < p > The Expendables - Unsere Kritik zum Kracher Action! < /p >

    < button type = "button" > < duration > < span > < span > more info </span > < / span > < / span > < / button >

    < / div >

    < / div >

    < / div >

    Thanks in advance.

    Be a lot easier if you post a link instead of screenshots.

    However, you have the closing tag in the wrong place. simply adds the color #429af2 for the first words (s). Then he surrounds this word.

    Creation - Unsere Kritik zum sci-fi Actioner

    Then CSS is based on the

    #ImageSlideShow .story .caption {}

    do-size: 14px;

    do-family: Verdana, Geneva, without serif.

    color: #fff;

    margin: 6px 0;

    line-height: 25px;

    font style: bold;

    padding-left: 8px;

    position: absolute;

    top: 265px;

    }

    #ImageSlideShow .story .caption span {}

    color: #429af2;

    }

    I am new to Dreamweaver CS4. I created a css and try to apply a rule to selected text. When I text highlight and go to the 'target rule' and highlight the rule I want, do not. It goes back automatically to < new css rule >. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.

  • Application of CSS rules that exist in a new HTML element

    It is not possible to apply a CSS rule to an HTML element in 2014 DW. For example, I created a new H1 element, but I can't ask that, to a rule existing CSS, so I duplicate an existing CSS rule, rename it and then apply the H1 element to this new CSS element.  A real problem! This must be a simple process that I was easily able to do in previous versions of Dreamweaver. Anyone know if the next version of DW you will connect new HTML elements to the existing CSS rules?  Or is it a design bug that will be fixed soon?

    As I mentioned before, it does not in Live View mode. If you are in Live View and not using fluid grids, click the Live View dropdown and choose the design view.

    If you use flow layout grid, you must make a change to your fluid grid .css file return Design view. Close all other files and add the X below to your fluid grid css file...

    /*

    Properties Grid Dreamweaver fluid

    ----------------------------------

    DW-num-CLO-mobile: X 4;

    DW-num-CLO-Tablet: 8;

    DW-num-OCOL-Office: 12;

    DW-gutter-percentage: 25;

    =====================================

    Save and restart the program.

    From there over DW will treat your FGL as a normal page, so you will not have fluid and right grid guides, but view Design new, available in the Live View drop-down list.

  • string ' / viewController-context-root "automatically get added in the CSS rule

    My version of jDeveloper is 12.2.1.0.0

    I expanded the alta-v1 skin and put a CSS rule in there that would apply to a background image of an element. The CSS rule is as follows:

    .notification.bell{
        background-image:url("/images/bell.png");
        background-repeat:no-repeat;
        background-position:center center;
        background-size:70% 70%;
    }

    When I run the page and display the CSS rule in Firebug, this is what happens in:

    .notification.bell {
      background-image: url("/ViewController-context-root/images/bell.png");
      background-position: center center;
      background-repeat: no-repeat;
      background-size: 70% 70%;
    }

    I made sure that I am editing the CSS file by changing the name of the file from bell.png to bell2.png and it was reflected in Firebug. What I can't understand, is why is the extra string added to the URL and hence.

    PS: I also noticed a strange thing at the moment. The URL in the address bar appears as

    http://127.0.0.1:7101/ViewController/faces/home.jspx

    Should also contain the name of the project? Something like this:

    http://127.0.0.1:7101/myProjectName/ViewController/faces/home.jspx

    A I spoil with a frame inside jDeveloper?

    User, I need to check the css thing. I have never seen it myself, but never looked especially for her.

    The second part of the question is easy to answer: the string you see is defined in the viewcontroller project root context parameter. Set this parameter to something that you like and start the application again. You should see the new value of the parameter.

  • On Dreamweaver CC how to css rule definition box?

    On the other Dreamweavers when I wanted to change a css, I selected the css and clicking on the pencil icon to open the css rule definition box.

    The only way I have found to get access to the box on the new CC css rule definition is when I create a new div and then there is an option for a new style and he opens the box.

    My question is how do the box once the rule is created? the pencil icon is gone.

    Break not good workflow Adobe, some people have a work in progress...

    The new designer of CSS in CC has many more features and has a different interface than previous versions of DW.

    To change the styles for a chosen selector, you must firstly, highlight the selector in the Panel "selectors". In your case, first select "#wrapper" from the Panel of selectors. Then the "Properties" Panel below displays all the available customizations you can do with this selector.
