New DVD of Windows 7, even series?

My laptop came with Windows 7 installed. I don't like the junk that goes with it. I have a Windows copy retail is Windows 7 Ultimate. I don't have a series for her. So I was wondering if I could use Windows 7 serial number which is written on the bottom of my laptop with this copy?

Thanks, this looks like a great tool. He will give a try.

No, it is not an illegal copy. It is one that has been given for MSDN subscribers. If it is legal and still need a key to activate.

I just discovered that it is possible to use a support of retail with an OEM license. You just have a small change in some files in the image of detail as shown here:

    Hello

The recovery CD can be ordered from each Toshiba authorized service provider.
Authorized service provider fixed prices of recovery CD and each country has different prices, but generally it should not be expensive.

I recommend contact point of the ASP to the Brazil and ask about this CD.

If your copy of Windows is an OEM (delivered in a cardboard cover, as a single disc) then no. - the license was related to the motherboard of a fist on which it was installed.

If it's a complete detail of the product (fancy box, two discs), then Yes, you can install it in the new - activate by phone.

    Hello

    1. when exactly this problem?

2 did you change on your computer?

I suggest you remove any external devices.

I also suggest you insert the DVD and try to install windows 7.

I also suggest you to go BIOS and select CD/DVD boot as the option your priority and check.

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

This response does not answer your question immediately. Just my suggestion for an alternative...

You lose a lot of time and money ventually, using DVD.

Less than $100 you will get a very good external hard drive, and you can make a backup of files into it.

In the long term, it is less expensive than the purchase of DVDs and a pain to store.

    Hello SuperComicCollecter 101,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

You can't even download new menus/styles; You can then bring yourself with the SDK pack that you can download from the official website of Microsoft. It would be a bit complicated, but if you are good at programming you can use this SDK package. There are many online tutorials that will help you.

After downloading this file, I suggest to install in compatibility mode, to do this, please follow the steps below

Right click on the downloaded file > properties > click on the Compatibility tab > under compatibility mode > check the box run this program in compatibility mode for and select windows 7 in the drop-down list in the menu drop down and then apply the settings.

I hope this information helps. Please get back to us if you have any other questions on this subject.

  • If FF 39.0 on a new PC with Windows 7 Pro 64 bits - in the sidebar search results bBookmarks are slow - is new facility there a solution for this?

Recently I've just set up a new PC with Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) as the operating system. I just imported bookmarks from my PC in one. HTML file, I created from my old PC. Now whenever I type a search term in the search box to refine my search for one of my favorites of many, sometimes even by typing in the term search begins to lag while I'm typing more letters. Search term/terms once entered, it seems to take 15-20 seconds before the results list appears. This used to be almost instantaneous in this same version of FF (39.0) on my old PC 64 bit of Windows 7 (Home Premium) to bring up the results. I already tried to install the add-on called "signed 1.3.1 - 0 maintenance of the premises and this time there really doesn't make any difference that it helped when I got FF 38.0.5 on my old PC to Win 7 64-bit." Can it still be addressed. Please update as soon as POSSIBLE with the solution.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the < shift >
    (Mac options)
key and then from Firefox. Is always the problem?

    Hello

I recently bought a new computer with WIN 7 64 bit. AND I got in trouble a few days updating my Windows because it lacks a BIT files service. When I bought my computer I have not received the installation DVD of Windows because it was preinstalled. But I still have a copy of the Windows DVD.

  • Install a HP psc 750 on a new system of windows 8.1

I just picked up a new HP all in a Pavilion 23 inch pc.  I have an old PSC 750 all in one HP printer.  I went to the site of microsoft web and verified to the Compatibility Center for this printer.  It says compatible - no action required.  However, I don't know what that means in terms of installation.  I just plug the old pc to a usb port and it works because microsoft already has a driver in the operating system?   Or what I need to load the original disc supplied with the printer to install the software?  It is hard to believe that all that is on the original CD 9 years ago will work with the new OS 8.1.  Even the last years all in one HP officejet 4630e printer requires a download before you try to install from the HP website.

    Hello

No more assistance for her since the age of Vista or at least 7 years ago:

In terms of compatible, MS wrote that no action required, which means supplies MS one driver compatible (basis printring) in the operating system (Windows 8.1). You're right, many printer CD is born before Windows 8 and 8.1 so they know nothing about Windows 8 is down to the track. Who knows what is next to Windows or Windows 201 9! *

  • Envy-15: Downgrade new notebook with Windows to Windows 7 (drivers) 10

Hi, I just bought a new laptop with 10 Windows preinstalled as the base OS.

For various reasons, I want to upgrade to Windows 7. I have an authentic copy of the retail of Windows 7 with a valid license key. What I really need is drivers for Windows 7. I prefer to do this by creating a separate partition, but I'm open to a full erase of the disk.

I've tested. I created a new partition, installed Windows 7 (it is not drive C). I immediately found the drivers to be a major issue. Much of the original Win 10 drivers will be not even install on Windows 7. Some keys, such as the USB controller and the graphics are not found. Windows Update does not have both. Thus, for example, nothing is detected when I connect via a USB port. Another problem is that when I started in Windows 10, he couldn't restore anything from the recovery partition D. I don't know if I made a mistake, Windows is confused, or what happened. In this spirit, I restored the image of the system from a backup made a week in advance.

(P.s. I know that Win 10 drivers are available on the Web site. If you install Windows 7 after that Win 10 is a problem (for example 7 not seen the C drive, I am open to wipe the disk entirely, starting with 7, which makes my base OS, if I can get drivers, then add 10 win.) Also, I have a valid license key to win 10 outside this new laptop and really have the driver support. I have several system images and history of files is active, so I can return if necessary.)

    I'd appreciate any help!

    Thank you

    You are the very welcome.
