  Things like games and movies at home, once they are downloaded from the Internet or if they come with the laptop, no longer need the Internet. Some people, especially the more people, don't like the risk perceived security of the Internet, so it is understandable that they would like anything to do with it. If your father wants to only use games and watch downloaded movies, he can do it on a computer that is "Internet-ready" but not truly connected. For movies and games, that he might try a HP Tablet. They are ready for the Internet, but do not have to be connected.

  I want to create a vi that dat when I press a button on the front of the vi, it opens the same vi in another window... and I should be able to work on this new window also able to work on the previous window without closing... Just like opening a new window when you use internet explore...
  I try to make my vi one reetrant vi but when I click on the new button in the window my vi... a new clone window upward I can control but the previous windows isn't accessible no I close the current window. I want a way I can access the two operation window and d vi of one does not affect the other, as when the indicators are updated in a single window another window will not update...

  I discovered a way to call a new window... I did use to dynamically call the vi again whenever you press the new button in the window rather than call a Subvi. Thanks Guy

• I can not properly install an update called (internet explorer 8 for windows vista) I get this message (Setup cannot continue because a newer version of internet explore was detected on this computer)

  I suggest that you run repair the automated for: reset Windows Update components and then after restarting your computer, run Windows update and see if it is available again.  Also, you should look through this article as well: Troubleshooting Windows Update: updated proposed repeatedly.

• Linksys wireless router is not my new Motorola modem Internet access

  I am relatively new to setting up home networks, so it's maybe a stupid question but I'm stuck! I bought a new modem Motorola (SurfBoard 1621) as my old Motorola modem was not favorable to the increase of the speed offered by Comcast. The modem I bought was a model recommended by their web site. They recorded the new modem last night and I can access the Internet when the PC is connected directly to the modem, but not when the laptop is connected to my Linksys wireless router. (Sorry, I don't know the model because it is at home and I'm at work!) Is there something I should do for the router to recognize the new modem? The router recognizes the wireless laptop, but it can not connect to the Internet.

  The instructions were very informative, although I have a suggestion. Just restart the modem and the router did not work. I had to reboot other equipment in my system (a NetGear firewall and a level switch 5 ports) and the router and the modem. I would like to see the reboot of reference tracking "and other devices. I guessed the appropriate power of sequence (modem, firewall, switch, router, computer), and fortunately, it worked.

  Hi, recently my PC toshiba laptop windows 7 I have had for many years has had random some software problems, he started with just my internet browser (google chrome) is not able to download any file to any site (when I tried it would just crash before you open the my computer window) then google chrome stopped opening altogether without crashing...

  I managed to use internet explore for firefox that does not crash, but still won't let me download files directly etc, but now is not just to download the internet browser, in each program here I can't "Save" all new open files without it crashing (and save do not) or download whatever it doesn't matter where (programs crashing and not being able to save being the main issue that makes me absolutely anything to do now). I tried a via command prompt sfc scan, reboot / system restore point etc, nothing has worked.

  This happened to someone else before and is the only way to solve this problem for just wipe my computer and reinstall windows or what? Any help appreciated, am panic en masse here!

  To solve your problem requires an expert trained to sit in front of the machine. It is not realistic to do that via a forum. I see these options for you:

  • Ask a computer-savvy friend to help you.
  • Have the device repaired.
  • Perform a destructive factory restore, using the hidden disk partition.

  If you choose the third option, then you must back up all personal files, then check first on another machine if the files are readable.
