  I have a background image in my container in my model.  When I make a new file based on this model, the background image disappears.  No idea why?

  You can open an existing page and select file > save as to make an exact duplicate, save under a different name and then add the new content.

  If you work with DW templates, a .dwt file will exist in a models folder in your site. You choose file > New > Page from the model and choose the .dwt file make a child page.

However whenever I build the model with my flash media inside, it works and appears very well when I saw, but then when I make a new page using the model and an overview content flash display not at all and I have no idea how to solve this problem! PLEASE HELP ASAP!

  Modify your code to do all references to Flash ROOT parent elements no document.

  The problem is caused by the refusal of DW8 to manage links to your Flash files because they are incorporated into javascript.  Because these links are inserted in the file of template as the document links, they will work in the template file.  But when spawn you a child page and save outside of the Templates folder, this link should be managed from the 'document' is no longer where it was when the link was created.  But DW8 does not only.  Thus, the use of relative links to ROOT (which should never be taken in charge because they always start the path to the file target to the root of the site) will work.

  In the last days, I was doing a crash course in Adobe acrobat and JavaScript. One of our clients asked us to make a PDF form with fields to fill and a button that will make a new copy of the form.

  I have text fields, model, and javascript for the button to load the model.

  My problem is that text in the fields on the first page is copied to the extra pages when they are made.

  I did a ton of research and found a lot of answerrs talk about having the renamed domain. I've included the part bRename to my JS, and text fields indicate that they are a differnet name, but he always pulls data from the first page.

  Here is the script I use. I'm also runing Acrobat X standard.

  You can reset the fields on the newly created page. All fields on the page will have the prefix "Pn", where n is the number of the newly created page. Since your code adds the page at the end, the code to reset the fields that you can use after the code that generates the model can be:

• Gradient of the model copy to new pages

  I created a template in DW (CS4) a few months ago that I used to build a site of about 75 pages. I tried to add a new page for the first time today. I created the new page from the same model, but discovered that my gradient background has deserted.

  It's very strange. Everything else is there, including the solid color which the gradient fades in. And the gradient is always on the model when I look in Design view or on a browser. But whenever I create a new page from the template, I only have the solid background color. No gradient.

  Foreign (to me, anyway), the URL of gradient that is on the model is not the same on the new page. Every new page I create Gets a url much more time for the gradient.

  This is what it looks like in the model:

  No - it's the way to do it.

  The link is correct in the page template?  Try to APPLY the template to this page of the child again. But first, REMOVE this edit box you added.

• New pages made from the messed up model!

  I made a template that is not yet finished... I decided to test it, but when I do new pages of it, the formatting is messed up (in all the new pages I created from the template). Of course, this happens before you download on the pages... (I need to make many different pages of the model, but is unable to continue because of that...)
  
  If I saw the new page "messed up" in Safari (it is by clicking on the button Preview in Dreamweaver itself), it's almost OK, but the background image is not displayed. Could someone suggest what I might need to do to get the 'News' page appear fine in Dreamweaver itself.

  I'm new on this, but I have a tip that could help: create a new project, select stunts, then on the models page, select ListView.

  This will automatically create a default list that automatically connects your article to an ItemPage.qml of a second!

• Links of the CBC in the new page based on a template are inheriting from the previous version of the page

  I have problems with the CBC links when I create a new page from a template DWT. I hope someone can help me. Here's what I did.

  1. I copied an HTML page to a new site that I have created (1 Site) to an existing (Site 2) as well as all the images needed site and the CSS files.
  2. I edited the CBC code so that page copied to Site 2 (New Page) referenced the correct local CSS and image files
  3. I created a template the Page new DWT file in Site 2 but noted that the CBC links were still referencing image and CSS of the Site 1 files, so I edited this new as shown above.
  4. I created a new page, based on the model of TPL, but strangely, the CBC links are again referencing Site 1.

  I don't understand what is happening. DW is clearly still remember the original links and ignores changes.

  When I need to come a file from another site, here's what I do.

  Go to Site 1.  Open the file in Design view or Code view.  Turn off Live View.

  Go to Site 2.  File > save as new_filename.html in the root directory of the Site 2.

  DW should invite you to update the links.  Press YES.

  Close the Site 1 file.

  Check the file links 2 Site to ensure that they document.

  Validate code & solve the errors reported.

  When you are completely satisfied with your document, click file > save as template.

  DW will ask you to insert editable regions for content that changes from one page to another.  To do this and save your template.

  Close the model.

  File > new > Site Template Page.

  Press the button create.

  SaveAs index.html (your home page).

  Repeat for other pages of the site.

  Hello. I'm a long-standing InDesign and Photoshop user who is new to Dreamweaver and site construction in general. I'm on a Mac and use Dreamweaver CS6. I have run into a problem too confusing for me to solve alone. I have a Web site template pre-made beautiful models in time I want to customize. Models are the .dwt format and work well in Dreamweaver. The thing is that I don't know where to start. There are a lot of files in the download of models in time:

  

  I opened the file called homepage.dwt and found it very simple to edit (by edit, I mean just change the headers and insertion of text and photos, etc.). Then I wanted to go to the contacts page and change it. On the homepage, there are menus, drop-down and control-click on 'Contact us' mode Live view brings up a display of the contact page, but it doesn't seem to be the real contact page. I can't change the header of "Your company name" on behalf of my company, and the text in code view don't coincide with the page. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong. Any advice? Perhaps someone could me step by step in the creation of a new Web site by using a template pre-made walk?

  If you haven't already done so, define a local site folder in DW.  Go to Site > new Site.  Say DW where you want to keep the files of the site on your local hard drive.

  C:\YourSiteName

  This is essential for DW to manage assets and connect the paths for you.

  In a Word, templates (.dwt files) are an exclusive feature of DW to manage your web site.  MODELS are not web pages in itself.  They are used to generate web pages.  Each model contains Editable Regions for unique content that will change page.  Everything outside the Editable Regions applies globally to all pages of the site has led to this model.  A menu header, brand/logo, footer, navigation and side bar are examples of elements at the level of the site.  These items are not directly editable from pages of the site.  Only, they can be changed in the main Template.dwt file.

  To work with files Template.dwt,

  1. Go to file > new > Site templates.
  2. Choose a site in the #2 Panel.
  3. Select a Template.dwt file in the #3 panel.
  4. Press the button create.

  He is a child page given birth from a template.  Save as new_filename.html.  Repeat for additional site pages.

  Judging by the screenshot, it looks like the authors model gave birth to several children pages based on templates for you to work with.

  This is a big topic, and it is not really possible to hide in the form of a post on the forum. I'm afraid that if you ask the question in this way, you are already out of your depth...

  Develop a complete theme requires a good knowledge of HTML and CSS (and more and more JavaScript and a frame jQuery JS). It is beyond the scope of this information forum on the basics of HTML and CSS, or web and design the INTERFACE in general.

All other pages do not show this new page in the navigation bar. Thus, the spry NAV. must be site wide update. Is it possible to update the spry navigation bar site wide in a few clicks?   Yes, there are ways to have all the pages to be updated when you make changes to a navigation bar.  However, the way you describe the situation you currently do it all manually.

  The easiest way to update a navigation bar:

  1. the use of serverside includes: this is a basic tutorial explaining what is a SSI and how it's done.

  That's where you went wrong, you save the template with a new name, and save it as an html file.  You must use: Create New > model.  This way, you create a new page of the master model and save it in the root of your site - and this is what is called a "page of the child".

  The differences between the use of SSIs and DWTs (template file):

  With a SSI file, you make changes to the file and all the pages, the inclusion of which will update automatically and you need only download a SSI whenever you make a page.

  If you use a model, whenever you make a change, once again all children pages are updated, but you need to download * all * changed pages.

  A work-around may be copy and paste each table into Pages where you CAN insert page breaks. (You may need to force the paintings to stay up-to-date).
