After upgrading from Vista created a new documents folder and now ignores the original
Last week I updated my computer (which I believe has an update of the graphics card and some windows stuff) using Windows update and left while he was closing. I guess what he finished close, but as I was leaving for the weekend, I can't be 100% sure and this weekend my house loses power at least once.
As for the problem, at windows startup today made first time setup that works normally when you connect to a user account for the first time. Applications of Sidebar by default loading, the default value of the user interface (that I don't use, so it was the first sign), and I found that on the opera opening, all my favorites and settings were gone.
At the opening of my documents, I found that they were completely empty of content, including all hidden folders where all of my settings the user should be.
Navigation around the computer, I find that this will C:\Users\USERNAME\ my documents are still intact, but are ignored, with all the shortcuts leading to my documents redirect me to the 'new' documents folder, which means that for all purposes useful all my user settings for all programs that store data in the documents have been reset.
Maybe someone has an idea of what may have caused this? Personally, it's one of the strangest bug I've ever seen in any version of windows, and I'm not sure how I should go to deal with it.
Update:
To check the path of the 'new' documents folder, it appears as C:\Users\TEMP
This means at least all of my original documents folder has not been deleted, but I'm trying to support everything up to an external drive where vista decided to replace my old documents folder entirely.
Hello
You can perform a restore of the system on the computer to restore the previous settings again.
Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
For more information follow the link below.
System Restore: frequently asked questions

Once you've done the system restore perform the update of Windows once more and check what is happening.
Hope this information is useful.

new Junk folder is showing a circle Turning time
Original title:
Additional unwanted files
My Hotmail is now showing two unnecessary files - the original is not a problem, but the new Junk folder is showing a circle turning of time (as if he's trying to create something) - how can I remove this unwanted new file? -Thanks for your advice
This problem is corrected in the 8.1 update. You can get it free by opening the 'Store' app and installing the update. You may want to wait until the end of the day, this update takes about an hour.

Adobe, the creation of new "documents" folder, all of a sudden
I have CS4. On a PC, Windows Vista.
I started to use still today. The program had a few random problems that kept crashing the program. I started a new file after a reboot, and now it has worked well.
HOWEVER, Adobe now suddenly creates a NEW 'Documents' folder in the folder of the user box (video, music, photos, etc.). He USED to put all these files remain in the existing Documents folder, does not create a new breath! It does this for all CS4 programs I open now.
Any ideas how can I fix? It's extremely annoying!
Thank you!
Hiya,
sounds like a vista problem, not a problem first pro...
Check out sites like this by Googling, "vista creates document duplicate files"...

How to create a new local folder in Thunderbird?
Provide details.
I don't know what you mean by a 'local folder '. But you can select any folder in Thunderbird, right-click and select 'New folder' or 'New subfolder' from the context menu.
Some mail servers may not accept subfolders in some places. I used one for folders defined by the user in his file Inbox and nowhere else.

New local folder created each time starts at Thunderbird
Whenever I run Thunderbird, a new folder is created in each time (always the same name) in my area the local folders and I can't find how to remove it. The cold is named:
1376842793.33723.YahooMailNeo%40web171205.mail.IR2.Yahoo.com.wdseml
I deleted my account Yahoo completely and I disabled all add on partners with Yahoo. I tried to boot in safe mode and began to disable all add ons and the thing still creates.
Any ideas? It's driving me crazy.

Select display folderWarning: Close Thunderbird
In the Explorer window
Open the Mail folder
Open the 'Local Folders' folder
Delete the file

You will need to drill down into local folders until you in the subfolder right. I guess your question is in the list of root folders local folders.

24.5.0 - deleted mail account and have problems with a new false folder
Hello
I've been messing around with my Thunderbird data, so this problem is of my own making I think.
I deleted an e-mail account using my provider configuration area. It was an e-mail account that I had set up initially at his accession to this provider and contained only test messages etc and was therefore no other use.
I had implemented this e-mail in Thunderbird and after deleting the account with my ISP I then removed the account in Thunderbird. Everything seemed to be OK.
Now, to confuse the issues. I had already set up a list of folders under local folders for emails filtered into Thunderbird - I now moved their in my main account by click/drag and drop on the name of the account. Although it has taken a lot of time (and unexpectedly used a huge amount of bandwidth), the operation seemed at last to the end (even though it was really hard to determine until I finally found the activity monitor).
Now, to the point of this ad:
After all the above, I discovered that a false file was created under the Inbox of my main account, called "new % 20Folder = 0' that I read in the new folder-0. I don't know at what point in the above that this issue has appeared, but I * think * I must have dragged / dropped one of my folder moves on the Inbox instead of the account name field.
Now, dear readers, if you've got so far, most of my problem. I can not remove this folder when I try, I get the message
The current operation on the "new % 20folder-0"failed." The e-mail server for the account * answered the folder does not exist.
I tried a bunch of things, change the settings in its properties, etc, but I have no reason to delete.
Question is: How can I remove it?
I'd do it:
(a) check on the website of the the email provider to check if he had copied here and cope. Your mention of bandwidth suggests it is an IMAP-connected account.
(b) close Thunderbird, open their profile , and delete the offending file there. You need to browse your profile for a while understand its structure before doing anything rash.
In General, I discourage users to drag files just as you did. By all means, drag the content (even better, use to select, then right click and "copy to" or "move to"), but moving files is IMHO indefinite operation with unpredictable results. I've heard talk of users move a folder from one account to another and find that it always associated with (i.e. "belongs to") the original account.
