My TV does not read HARD drive Toshiba 3.0
I ask excuseme for my English! I'm Italian...
I have a drive hard toshiba 3.0,.
My samsung TV to the beginning to 'read' my hard drive, but then the TV does not recognize and I so format, losing my saved videos!
What is the problem?
Maybe you should check the user manual s TV for more information on the format of file or the support of hard drives.
I know in many cases, the hard drives or flash memory sticks must be formatted using TV to get the file format supported special that can be read by the TV.
I think it's kind of right to privacy with the movies recorded could not be edited on computer.

Tecra S1 - Bios does not detect HARD drive
Hi, first time poster, long drive date.
I have a friends laptop with me an old S1, its hard drive has failed. (Even tried it on my USB adapter to diagnose).
I had another IDE HDD which works like a dream.
I can even install Windows up to a point with the exception of when the computer wants to do the first restart of the second phase of the installation. (Not on CD).In the bios the HARD drive is not detected a 0 MB for the read command.
I tested the USB HARD drive. So works perfectly. will try another hard drive there tomorrow see what is happening.I tried the recovery CD aswell. But she also can not detect the hard drive.
Finally, I even reflashed the Bios even if it was the last version 2.50.
Still did not change. If I'm just at a loss here. Tomorrow I'll do the following.
Try a 3rd HDD IDE into the machine.
Opening of the case and see if I can find the CMOS battery to replace or remove for a minute or 2 to see what is happening.
Is obviously a problem of bios of the HARD drive is detected. Has anyone ever encountered this before?Windows / ERD Commander / Partition Magic 8 all finding the end hard drive.
Thanks for listening to my dribble that I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall being close.Kind regards
Dave
What drive did you use and what size it it?
I think that not all HARD drive would be compatible because of the 28-bit LBA.The 28-bit LBA supports hard disks up to 128GB and if the IDE controller supports only 28-bit LBA then it may happen that more large drives would not be recognized by the BIOS.

DV8-1200CTO does not recognize hard drive 2 TB
Installed a new hard drive 2 TB. Time 8.1update Windows 64-bit and windows 7 ultimate 64-bit won't recognize the new drive. A disk initialized for mbr on another computer. Disk formatted and reinstalled on laptop. Windows disk management does not display the drive.
In the second span? Maybe not. Even a notebook of 1.5 TB drive is probably advanced format. There is no other way to fit that amount of data on a 2.5-inch drive. I am frankly surprised that the 1 TB worked

Computer does not read USB drives
original title: USB keys
Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!
Ideas:
- my new laptop does not read a USB
What happens when you insert the USB - anything? He make up a menu of options or give you any error messages or anything like that?
If you go to start / computer use you see the USB it? If so, double-click it to open it. If this isn't the case, read on.
Go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / computer management / disk management and see if you can see the USB it. It cannot be listed with a letter, but it may still appear. If it is there, please post any information on this subject, he said EXACTLY Word for Word. If she's not here, it is not really considered by the system.
You have an another USB, you can try in the machine to see if she had somethiing to do with the stick rather than the PC? You have another PC on which connect the stick to see if it works on another computer. Have you ever used this front USB on any computer or is it new?
You have all other USB devices connected to your system and they work well? If this isn't the case, you have a USB mouse or other device, you can test on the computer to see if it works (if we exclude a problem with the USB ports or USB drivers).
To be honest, as it is a new computer, I would contact the technical assistance service and to ask for help they should be happy to offer because it is a new computer from the computer. They may be able to help more of us because they know that their systems better than we do (and I don't even know the manufacturer of your computer, the USB key, or almost anything). In some cases, to play with the system without contacting them can void the warranty and you certainly don't want to do.
I hope this helps. If not, please answer my questions and give me the results of the procedures I asked you to try (including contact with the manufacturer) and we will see where to go from there.
Good luck!

Satellite A205-S5880 (PSAE3U) downgrade Vista to XP - does not detect HARD drive
Hi all
I got this hair loss situation, I had a satellite A205 - S5880 (PSAE3U) and decided to downgrade to XP, I got all ready drivers for XP (I have the EMEA support site and the wireless from a Czech website), I have my windows XP SP2 g CD and I get after loading everything Since the CD that my HD is not detected or not recognized and it tells me to make sure I have connected (I know I do). After doing a search of loong on the web, I discovered I have need the drivers (or something like that) to my HD which is a Hitachi HTS542520K9SA00 ATA Device (200 GB, 5400 RPM, SATA). My bios won't let me put my SATA to IDE (or something like that) also to update and nothing, please I need my Windows XP CD to read my HARD drive, and I can take care of the rest (at least I think so, otherwise I'll ask again: D).
I also found that I can watch my motherboard chipset for motherboard for my HD controller, it ' s (i think) a toshiba ILHAM v1.00 or Intel Crestline - GM GM965.
Maybe this info also works: Intel ICH8MI would totally be apreciate all the help, thanks in advance. I am able to give any other information you want

Hello!
You will find hundreds of discussions here in the forum about this, if you install Windows XP and Vista from a Microsoft disc and the HARD drive can't be detected... So he s strange to read these questions again and again.
However, to install Windows, you need the SATA drivers or let's say the Intel Storage Manager package. It contains the driver you need. You can then create a new installation using nLite [www.nliteos.com]
Or look you at this Toshiba document: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htmGood bye

Cannot install Win 8 - Satellite Pro C660 does not detect HARD drive
Hello
My HARD drive died, so I decided to upgrade my Satellite Pro C660 - 1 9 to an SSD.
I made a USB bootable with Win8 and starts very well. The problem is that it does not detect my SSD, so I can proceed with the installation.
SSD appears in BIOS but not in Windows Installer.
He said that there is a missing driver.I downloaded the AHCI drivers (XP, only ones available) and even in this case, after you have selected the only rider that appears, it says no new device found.
I tried to change the SATA from AHCI mode to compatibility mode and it's the same thing...
What can I do?
Thanks for the help.
Best regards
Bruno MoreiraMore old Windows XP need a driver AHCI Intel's but I think this isn't a problem with SATA driver missing because as far as I know Windows 8 as well as Win 8.1 already contains the drivers to recognize the SSD or HARD disk drive.
In addition, the installation of the OS should be possible even if the driver would be added for this procedure, you must use the "compatibility" mode
As you say, the compatibility mode is not working too, so I think there is another problem. However, page driver Toshiba also provides a driver Intel RST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) (Windows 8 - updated) you can try to add during the installation of the OS.
But I m wondering if you would be able to install this Win 8 on common SATA HDD.
Have you tried to format the SSD using a different computer, then install Win 8?
Give it a try. -
Satellite 4100xcdt does not recognize HARD drive after update BIOS version 8.20
My laptop is a satellite 4100XCDT with windows xp and I want to install linux.
Have the cd bootable linux (tested on other computers) but laptop doesn't not boot cd shape so I updated the bios with version 8.20 from the toshiba support site.
Tried the disks formatted 1.44 and 7.20 such as recommended in the manual of the 4xxx series. BIOS has been updated successfullyResult: after pressing the switch of the usual screen Toshiba appears, after the disc hard led flashes for a few seconds then windows except modus menu appears. After I made my choice (all tried) a few seconds later (and hard drive led light) flashes a blue screen (not enough long to read the message) and the computer is restarted. When starting from a back bootable floppy, I can't reach the (cd rom) drives (hdd) C and D
But in my opinion that Windows Save menu modus is called from the hard drive (so I think that the hard drive still works)Hello
Well, in my opinion a part on the HARD drive or bootable partition might be corrupted.
You are right, if the windows save mode appears therefore HARD drive has been recognized by the BIOS and the HARD drive is bootable.I think there must be something wrong with the data on the HARD drive.
Something similar happened on my laptop several weeks ago. After you use the chkdsk/r, I was able to run the operating system again. But then I installed everything again. On the Toshiba page I found the companion disc.
The accompanying disk is capable of detecting your CD-ROM drive on the
Toshiba during the boot process. If you need access to your CD-ROM
Hunt, then delete "rem" Word the following lines in the Autoexec. BAT
and CONFIG. SYS on the accompanying disk.REM if exist toscd001 a:\mscdex D:TOSCD001 /M:10 (AUTOEXEC. BAT)
REM device = a:\toscdrom.sys (CONFIG. (SYS)

Portege M400 - Windows 7 does not see HARD drive
Hi, I have the problem, I am trying to install Windows 7 on my M400, but he didn't see the hard drive.
The hard drive is surly ok, ' couse I tested it in the other netbook, I can see it in the BIOS, but any program installation can not.(I tried both Ubuntu and XP Tablet Edition)
Hi Radzik,
I think that Windows doesn't see the drive HARD due missing RAID drivers Windows needs of these RAID drivers before you can install it because it doesn t contain these drivers for the disk HARD is not recognized. You can download the RAID driver from Toshiba Web site.
You can then create a new installation disc using nLite with drivers or copy the drivers on an external floppy drive. Start Windows XP after you press F6 to load drivers from floppy drive.

Satellite Pro M70 does not see HARD drive sometimes
Help me!
My computer does not see my hard drive but see Installer and another computer.
My hard drive is working and I put the new drive hard but computer does not see.
And when I install XP on the computer I can see HDD format during the installation.
And when prawns my computer I do not see the HARD disk again.Help me please
Hello
I think that it s a HDD issue naturally it s really strange that the HARD drive is different sometimes and sometimes it s is not visible, but I doubt that it could be software related issue. That's why I think that it s a drive HARD and in my opinion, you should check if other HDD SATA runs correctly.
Good bye

Satellite 1415 does not see HARD drive
I just finished my old 30g HD to a 160g via a cable usb/ide on my Satellite 1415 cloning/adaptation.
I've used Norton Ghost who said using the copy MBR 'not' option, I have to format the new drive. It took me over six hours to do due to overheating closed the first period which forced me to do it again.
Now with the new full disk, I installed in the machine and starts, received a message "NTLDR is missing" on the first try. After going in (WinXP) disk management I noticed that the new drive was now three scores, two the same size that the old hard drive and the last not allocated. I looked at the files in the first partition and found that I do not need so I deleted the files and the partition. The remaining active partition has all the Po files, that I need so I have it assigned a drive letter.
Now to start with the new drive I get missing operating system message. I ve changed the boot order and linked to the boot the ghost CD but had no luck with either. Of course the machine does not see the disk, so my question is how I can get to see the new drive letter to start when it seems now that for a C:\ drive?
The only option I see in the BIOS is boot order change. Thank you
Hello
To better understand:
The ability of the entire HARD drive is recognized properly? To be honest, the whole story is a bit confusing for me. I use Norton Ghost with WXP too and I know that you can create your own recovery image and burn on CD or DVD. This medium, that you can use to install an operating system.
You can also save files to recovery on the second partition and then copy to external HARD disk.
With the new HARD drive using Microsoft facilities CD and install WXP. Create own partitions on the new HARD drive and all ghost copies files to the second partition (new HARD drive). You may not install all driver and tools but install Ghost on this OS fresh and naked. Start the ghost and Recover My Computer option. So, after 20 minutes, you'll WXP as on the old HARD drive.
I did it with my old Tecra.

15 - f039wm: BIOS does not detect hard drives until it performs a diagnostic search
I was handed a 15-f039wm laptop to watch and I recognized immediately the hard drive was bad, complete failure - no detection and would not pass the built-in diagnostics. I have removed the drive from the laptop and confirmed that the car was bad on a separate system. I ordered a new drive, went with an SSD and put the new drive of the laptop. I checked the cable was sitting correctly on both ends and for good measure he reinstalled on the motherboard as well as on the drive itself.
Then I tried to re - install Windows 8.1 with the laptop provided with Bing, but when it came time to select the hard disk in the Windows Installer screen, no disks have been detected. I tried to load the drivers for the drive recognized, but nothing has worked. I then tried to start other diskettes of Windows (7 & 10) and the same problem arose, no drive detected. For fun, I loaded Hiren's Boot Disk and tried to see what I could do, and oddly enough the drive detected several times.
Then, I decided to go back to the integrated diagnostic tools (F2 at startup) and see what would happen. Hard drive has been detected and passed the Quick Test. I have a Windows install CD in and after that I left the screen he ended up launching the installation disc. I decided to try just a new set of drivers to see if the disc could be detected, but that the disc was already detected and just sitting there, ready for the installation of the software.
I have installed 8.1 on it and did the upgrade of Windows 10 to the owner and I noticed something serious. Whenever I restarted (key here being a full reboot), the drive was not detected and I would get an error in DEVICE of START-UP INACCESSIBLE when he tried to load Windows. I ended up to play with the drive and launch the troubleshooting menus command prompt.
I tried to run diskpart, and when I typed "list disk" inside diskpart and he told me that there are no drives found. Large.
I took once more apart from the laptop and reinstall the drive again and the same problem happens again. This is where it gets a little weird. I ran Diagnostics on the hard drive again and just canceled check out out and Quick Test and let it boot. It starts very well.
I thought so at this stage it is a bug in the BIOS or something and decided to flash F.25 Rev.A to see if that would help. No, the problem persists after BIOS update flash. I decided to just go ahead and order a new cable to see if the cable is the issue. Is there anything else I can try? Anyone have this problem, it is rather strange to me, and I saw a lot of machines to act strangely.
So, to summarize:
Hard drive is not detected at least that I force diagnostic analysis of any type on the hard drive and come out and let it boot.
What I tried:
New hard drive
Reconnect the hard drive
BIOS settings - boot order, security keys allowed Secure Boot on / off, Legacy Boot on / off, (there no option of detection or ahci in the BIOS).
Many windows install environments, non-windows - disk environments is ever detected by the BIOS, I guess
Flashed the BIOS updated
Reinstall Windows (back to 8.1 with Bing and question persists, persists on Windows 10 institutions)
DiskPart on Windows Installer (shift + f10 - prompt "diskpart" command, then in diskpart: 'list disk' which wouldn't say no disk).
Ordered a new cable (pending on this one)
What gets me, is that it works whenever I have diagnostic scan before starting. Every time. It fails on a restart cold without doing so. I looked on the Board for the damage of physical strength and the liquid, but do not see anything to really. I'm guessing that it was abandoned. Any ideas on what else to try? I'm running out of ideas on this one.
Try the new cable, but I think you look a very bad mother board it.

Drive problem hard dv8000 - does not recognize hard drives
This is my first post, so please let me know if I did something wrong!
OK, so the other day, I was working on my dv8000 when he walks just down. I turned it back and instead of properly start he told me that he could not find the operating system. Knowing that the machine was two disks in it, I swapped the primary with secondary school and always got the same result. Then, I went out and bought an external and attached drive Bay hard drive to my office. The disc was bad and kept cycling the heads. I have now bought a new HDD and the laptop is currently configured with the new disk into the main slot and the other original hard dirve I checked and it is good in the second slot. Here's my problem - when I go in the bios that the computer recognizes the two hard disks for boot options, but when I try to load XP from a cd to the laptop, it tells me that there is just no hard drives installed... What don't get me? I checked the disc for errors via the bios and the comeback test passed. I thought about formatting of readers but the bios doesn't have a format feature in what I can say. for all the intense and fine, the bios sees the readers, but the operating system does not work. Any ideas >
Please help because this is my machine of the company and I can't keep borrowing my wifes laptop, she thinks I'm going to break this one too!
Thank you.
"When I try to load XP from a cd to the laptop, he tells me that there is just no hard drives installed... What missing am me?"
Your cd does not necessarily include the required drivers. The original (MS detail) XP installation cd does not detect the SATA drives. Also some other readers can be detected, including the ATA/IDE standard. If you have your original factory CD, you could try this, it should work. You can try to install another operating system, for example. Ubuntu and see if these disk become visible.

Satellite Pro A10 does not start (HARD drive seems to be missing)
Hello, I hope someone can give me some advice on this problem: I have a 2 years Satellite Pro A10. Recently, it starts not at all and I noticed that if I look at directories on the C: drive using the command prompt, it said "file not found". Cannot start Windows at all, not even in Safe Mode.
Using the recovery disks is I help spread messages as no such fixed disc and 'Extraction impossible '.
is - that say I have:
1 a hard drive damaged
2. defective connections on the HARD drive? -If Yes, how I fix that?the system didn't crash before it happened, she doesn't have to load up when I started it.
Would appreciate any help.Thank you
SCLHello
Well, it could be a hardware malfunction of HARD drive. Yes, it is possible. But I don t think that there is a bad connection. You used this HARD over the last two years and you n t change the settings of connections on this HARD drive. Is this good?
If it possible s so I suggest you of to completely format the HARD drive.
Then try to start the recovery procedure. However if the HARD drive has a functioning default (ie. crushing of the head), so the only way is to replace this device.

PS 4000 does not replace HARD drive
HARD drive failed on PS4000. I replaced the HARD drive and reinsert the caddy in the chassis. HDD still marked as failed. I replaced the caddy with a new one with the original HARD disk and reinserted in the chassis. Disk is marked as failed. (I understand why: a failed drive is a drive down forever... got it.) I replaced the HARD drive original with a new HARD drive installed in the new caddy and reinserted in the chassis. New caddy with new HDD still marked as failed. What should I do to make this work? Thanks for your help!
Hello
If this is the error message when you install the replacement drive, I think that the drive is faulty.
