NI DAQ driver for several versions of LabVIEW

Hello

I installed 8.0 LV and LV8.6 in my PC. I installed DAQ 8.8 and this is is detected at LV 8.6 and not at 8.0 LV. So I tried to install DAQ 8.6 supporting LV 8.0.While installation appears that a more recent version of the data acquisition driver is already installed.

I want the DAQmx functions in LV8.0.

Is to uninstall the latest version of the only option for the acquisition of data?

Anyone outthere facing this kind of problem?

Thank you

Niju

Yes, you will need to uninstall the higher version. The drivers do not simultaneously work with several versions such as LabVIEW.

  • How to install the spectral measures and Modulation for several versions of Labview Toolkits

    Hello dear,
    This is a known issue. You can read in the readme of the modulation toolkit:

    Two Versions of LabVIEW installed
    The installer supports the installation of the Modulation Toolkit into one
    version of LabVIEW; installation of the tool in several separate
    facilities (e.g. LabVIEW 7.0 and 7.1 installed LabVIEW LabVIEW
    on the same PC or in separate directories) is not supported or recommended.
    A way not supported to do but involves manually copying files from
    one LabVIEW installation to another. To do this, you can install the
    Modulation Toolkit to the base of a LabVIEW installation directory, and
    then manually copy the files installed in the other installation of LabVIEW.
    The following list includes files and relevant directories. Copy all the files
    These directories, including subdirectories, using the equivalent
    paths related to the House LabVIEW directory for the target.

    \vi.lib\AddOns\Modulation\*.*
    \vi.lib\AddOns\NISML\*.*
    \examples\Modulation\*.*
    \resource\objmgr\NIMTAttribs.RC
    \resource\objmgr\NIMTAttribs.RCH
    \help\lvmod.txt
    \help\lvmod.chm
    \help\lvdmt.txt
    \help\lvdmt.chm

    Note that this list does not include installed files. Also, copy
    the files in this way is not equivalent to a complete installation in the
    another version of LabVIEW. Especially own error text to the
    Modulation Toolkit will not be updated and the example Finder ads will be
    the examples of Modulation Toolkit.

  • driver for usb-6221 XP LAbview 6.0.2

    I'm trying to connect the usb-6221 to an old laptop with XP and Labview 6.0.2. I said that's not possible with NOR-DAQmx. This old version of Labview does not NOR-DAQmx, there NEITHER-DAQ 6.8 installed. Reading me for it suggests works with USB, but I can't find the USB drivers in installation.

    Based on the response to your message here, the only USB devices supported in NOR-DAQ 6.8 are old appliances DAQPad E Series USB such as the NI DAQPad-6015 or DAQPad-6016.  All material of the M series, including variants of the USB, are no longer supported in NOR-DAQmx.

  • Uninstall one of the several versions of Labview

    Hello

    This is probably a stupid question, but I am quite new in the world of Labview and I have the following problem: I installed on the same computer two version of Labview (2012 and 2012). Now I want to uninstall both, but in Control Panel it returned just a ' National Instrument Software. If I continue with this, I uninstall both versions or he will ask me which of the two I want to delete?

    Thank you very much for any answer!

    Double-click the single entry of National Instruments and everything is istalled OR specified software (see attached screenshot) versions are clearly identified, and you can then choose which version to uninstall.

    You can also uninstall any component to this screen.  It is a bit tedious having to uninstall each component individually however.

    First thing to do is to check its Vista compatibility at the link above, and if not to see what patches/solutions are available from its manufacturer...

    If this is not Vista compatible, read the info on the link above.

  • small runtime for more recent versions of labview?

    A few times in the past, I created simple LabVIEW autonomous executibles.  I did this in 8.6 and used minimum duration Engine Setup instead of the full version.  This resulted in a size of 30-35 Meg installation package.

    Agin need to create a simple executable, but have not seen a minimum setup for any version of LabVIEW 8.6

    Are there minimum runtimes for other versions?

    The runtime default 2014 is Meg 264!  It is difficult to explain to a client why a simple "Hello World" program requires a 200 Meg download.

    Jack Dunaway has documented a way to segment the execution engine, basically only, including parts which you need.

  • Printer: Where can I get the latest driver for my printer

    Hey everybody,

    Just got a new PC and I need the latest version of the software for my printer printer, where can I get that?

    Thank you

    Bill

    Hello

    If you have an HP LaserJet printer, go to http://www.123.hp.com/Laserjet and download your software.

    For most other printers HP, go to http://123.hp.com and enter the name of your printer. For example: "HP Deskjet 3752" or "HP OfficeJet Pro 8720".

    * Do not look on the Internet for the web site of HP 123! There are many other sites not HP here try to capitalize on the name of HP. HP provides your free software... Use the links above!

    If for any reason, the 123 links do not work, you can visit the HP support site and download the software:

    1. Go to hp.com/drivers and select your language / local if necessary.
    2. Enter the name of your printer in the box under enter my HP model number.
    3. If a page appears asking you to select your exact model of the printer, select the link for your printer.
    4. On the page of software results, change the operating system to match the one you need (number 1 below)... he could already be selected.
      If an operating system is not listed, HP doesn't have any software available for your printer.
    5. Select installation software label to expand the section, if it is not already expanded, and read the name of the software (number 2).
      For Windows, if you want the complete package for your printer, you will want to download the software "Full Feature". For LaserJet, it will be called drivers and software "full." The complete package is much bigger in file size and takes up more resources, but she understands as a window of easy-to-use do things such as sweeping or check the ink and toner levels.
    6. For Windows, HP provides often a base driver package (Figure 3).
      The basic package is much smaller and is often available for several versions of Windows as a full package of features. With it, you use Windows to print and scan directly from the software you use, such as Word, Paint, photoshop, etc...
    7. Click on the download button to start the download (number 4).
    8. Read and respond to the screens that pop up to install your software.

    I hope this helps

  • controls silver for previous versions?

    Is there anyway to get the new controls of money for previous versions of LabVIEW?

    No, there is no way to make money controls in previous versions (or will there be).

    Although you can technically save files .ctl for an earlier version, that they will not make me properly in the old version. The rectangle rounded corners, gradients and shadows required that we adding new features in LabVIEW 2011 obviously will not there in other versions.

  • Difference between the version of the Runtime and Developer version of LabVIEW.

    What is the LabVIEW Version called the runtime?

    vaibhavinegi wrote:

    There is a version of the separate Runtime for each version of LabVIEW.  You can open NI MAX and develop software to see what is installed on your computer.

    Is this only for the visualization of the screws built in developer version LabVIEW?

    Without the development environment, you cannot change screws LabVIEW.  The runtime engine is responsible for actually running the code in order to integrate LabVIEW executables and run them on other machines without the development environment.

    Can't we develop or modify TENS of LabVIEW version screws?

    NO.

  • OfficeJet 6700: Officejet 6700 Premium driver for Server 2012

    I need to connect this printer to a Windows Server 2012 R2.  There is no driver for this version of the OS on the driver download page.  Is one of the other compatible drivers?  Is there a driver available somewhere?

    Hello

    The extraction of the installation is complete, the incompatibility alert is displayed only after the installer extracted.

    Using any program for example extract 7z or Winrar as document attached to my previous post guide you within the following section:

    Customize Setup > step 1: copy the driver and software files > second method: copy the files from the web Pack

    In addition, you can click on the Windows Logo and the keys R on your keyboard and type folder in the Run dialog box, and then press OK.

    Open the installation folder that begins with the charadters (e.g. 7z1234) 7z, threshold there find you any required MSI file.

    You can copy the entire folder to another location for easy access...

  • Universal application for both versions of the OS

    Hi all

    What is the best way to create applications that will work on different OS version with the help of the old OS functions? For example, the application must check something in the background and inform the user if a problem occurs. 4.6 + we can use the "ApplicationIndicator" class for this. But how do you divide the app to be exploitable in 4.5, for example with an another user - a popup notification?

    Thank you!

    Yes, there is a way to do it in a single generation. Maybe not for the feint of heart.

    You will need to put all the code 4.5 in a COD, type of library.

    Put all the code 4.6 (and nothing other than the 4.6 code) in an another COD, also the type of library.

    4.6 library depend on the library of 4.5.

    Your application COD depend on these two libraries.

    In the library of 4.5 create interfaces for classes that have different implementations in 4.5 and 4.6.

    Create a factory class classes used for these interfaces, as follows:

    (here Foo is an interface, and Foo45 implements Foo).

    public class UiFactory {

        private static UiFactory instance;

        public static UiFactory getInstance() {
            if (instance == null) {
                try {
                    Class clazz = Class.forName("com.company.project.UiFactory46");
                    instance = (UiFactory) clazz.newInstance();
                } catch (Exception ex) {
                    instance = new UiFactory();
                }
            }
            return instance;
        }

        public Foo getFoo() {
            return new Foo45();
        }
    }

    In the library of 4.6 you Foo46 implements Foo. And a factory as follows:

    public class UiFactory46 extends UiFactory {

        // Over-rides getFoo() in UiFactory    public Foo getFoo() {
            return new Foo46();
        }
    }

    Now the application, you can do UiFactory.getInstance () .getFoo () and get a Foo45 or a Foo46.

    On a 4.6 device, UiFactory.instance will be an object of UiFactory46.

    On a 4.5 device, the Class.forName in UiFactory line will throw a ClassNotFoundException. The exception is caught and switch to a normal UiFactory object.

    Presto! Unique construction for several versions of the OS. Works for me. YMMV, of course.

    A few last words.

    When a single class fails to load into a BlackBerry COD ignores the whole cod. So the code 4.6 should be isolated in its own library.

    The compiler does not allow a library to depend on an application. And the 4.6 library must depend on the 4.5 (for interfaces and code to be able to extend UiFactory). Thus, the 4.5 code must also be in a library.

    Here the COD of the Application only has pictures and a single class that contains a main method.

    Cheers, Barak.

  • Satellite Pro M30: Need for new version of the display driver

    It's so frustrating! How is that possible?
    The display driver (nvidia fx 5200 go) is so old - according to Device Manager the 28/08/2003 driver date and version is 45,56 while the current driver in the NVIDIA site is heading 84.21?

    And there is no new drivers on the Toshiba site and you can not install of nvidia, as they say that FX 5200 go is not supported and to download a driver from the manufacturer of the laptop that is obviously impossible!

    Anyone find a solution to this problem?

    Hi Valentin,.

    I had a similar situation with my A30 that prevented me from playing several games. As you will discover, it is virtually impossible to load the latest drivers (ATI or NVIDIA) maufacturers website so I resorted to http://www.omegadrivers.net/ OMEGA drivers to see if they work.

    The drivers Omega loading perfectly and worked without any problems for the last few months. I can even play games that would not support the original Toshiba drivers.

    I agree that there is a potential risk of the graphics chip overheating, but so far I have not suffered harm.

    Kind regards
