    Hello

Did you mean WiFi encryption that blocks the entrance to the local wireless network?
I suppose that you have set the encryption (WPA, WEP, etc...) on your router WLan but didn't configure the wireless network adapter.

Well, in my opinion, you should check out what WLan encryption makes the card holder and then choose it on the WLan router. The encryption key must be set to the router and the laptop!

  • Tecra A11 Port Replicator - do not enable external HARD disk when securing

    Hello

Had a problem with the Port Replicator port for my new Tecra - A11.

When I anchor the laptop in the Replicator, that is not automatically connecting external 700gig USB backup HDD, I have either pull the USB cable on the Replicator, or disable the drive HARD and again so he can be seen and recognized.

I never had this problem with my A8 and its replicator, I could just dock and everything was fine.

    I am running Win7

    Thank you... PK

    Hello

Seems that Win 7 is unable to recognize the external HARD drive that is already connected to the port replicator.
I m not very good if you had to install a software for this external HARD drive, but if software is required, and then try to reinstall again.

  • When Web pages contain mixed content, does (or can) Firefox block content from sources not secure?

When secure Web (those using SSL) pages contain content from sources non - SSL, Internet Explorer 8 and 9 ask if you want to show only the content that has been delivered safely. I could not find a prompt similar to Firefox. I know three possible explanations:
1 Firefox offers no protection against the mixed content. I hope that this is not the case!
2 Firefox has a setting that I have not found.
3 Firefox can offer protection but in a different way than Internet Explorer.

Firefox is not and can not block content through an unsecured connection to come in this case, but you can get a warning.

The settings for warning messages have been removed from the UI (Bug 513166).

You must change preferences related security.warn_* directly on the topic: config page.

  • Google and other Web sites does not work after installing Bitdefender Internet Security.

After that installation of the version of Bitdefender Internet Security offered to the 60-second-anti-virus plugin for Firefox of Bitdefender, a number of sites have stopped working. First of all, I cannot change my homepage, because the connection hangs, and Web site does not open. In addition, tries to connect to a number of Web sites (Google, Youtube, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc.) created this site:
    "Secure connection failed".

An error occurred when connecting to www.google.com. The server has rejected the transfer protocol because the customer to a lower version of TLS on the server supports. (Error code: ssl_error_inappropriate_fallback_alert)

In short, a lot of great websites do not work and are seriously harming my ability to work. Bing works as a site search engine that I can go to, but not as a home page. I desperately need help with this problem...

  • Secure wifi WinXP will connect via static IP

Resurrect a laptop Vaio to factory XP install and have encountered a small problem. The operating system is updated with SP3. The on-board Intel 2200BG however not will connect DHCP when the signal is secure. I tried WEP, WPA and WPA2 on the router and the network profiles with no luck. Other 802.11 g wireless devices are connected properly and is functioning normally. Curiously, the Vaio will connect DHCP when security is totally removed from the signal.

I deleted and recreated the profile of network several times, UN and re-installed the wireless adapter (also removed the inf and Directory Windows/INF pnf files) and I tried the drivers from Sony and Intel. Same question.

I cycled power for the modem and the router and flushed the dns cache, and I tried ipconfigs release and renew as well. No help there.

Here are the best... the Vaio will implement a SECURE connection IF a static IP is assigned to it.

In summary, DHCP works if there is no security. If wireless security is used then the IP address must be static.

    Confused!

Hmm, not so fast. The question came back. However, rose again. The battery on this laptop Vaio is in its death throws. To prevent it causing a fire, we simply abducted and executed the Vaio directly from the power supply socket wall. It is essentially a desktop pc light for us anyway. Afer redefine the Vaio settings factory and re - install the operating system, get all updates and purge all the Vaio * which blocks the OS, it came to light than a Sony program named ISBMgr.exe "was is the work" Although ineffective. The ISBMgr monitors battery Vaio and begins to change things down as battery power is fading. Well, no battery installed it was {confusing} everything it should be and that it prevented the WiFi adapter shipped to the secure connection. After the purge file ISBMgr Program Files/Sony and then scouring the registry for what whether containing ISBMgr a reboot has provided a fast, automatic and secure connection. Yay! • Windows XP - service 'Security Centre' does not exist.

I have a Dell, Windows XP Home Edition, SP3 desktop PC.  I noticed when Security Center opening, appears under Security Essentials, "the Security Center is currently unavailable because the"Security Center"service is not started or was stopped.  Please close this window, restart the computer (or start the "Security Center" service), and then open the Security Center again. "When I go to 'Services', I noticed that there is no such thing as the"Security Center"service.  I scanned my computer with Malwarebytes and Avast Antivirus, but no malware has been found.  Is there an easy way to retrieve the "Security Center" service, then I'll be able again to display the status of the security system?

    Thank you!

There is a register available at Kelly Korner "fix" but before you use it, you should back up the registry. For this I suggest you ERUNTgui. Autobackup will be when you start Windows for 30 days by default, but if you're low free disk space, it can be set for less than days (7 days should be good)

Download http://www.webng.com/krtech/programs/ERUNTgui.zip ERUNTgui (note: this is a direct download link) and save it to a location of your choice (somewhere in My Documents is fine) unzip and in the created folder, double-click the ERUNTgui.Setup file to install. Launch of the shortcut created in all programs select Options to specify the number of days for autobackup, close the dialog box options, and then select back up the registry. This backup will be placed by default in C:\WINDOwS\ERDNT.

Go to Kelly Korner and scroll down to #338 on the right side (restore the Security Center Service) right click and "save target as...". "on the desktop. An icon should appear as below named securitycenterstore.reg. Double-click on it to merge with the registry, and then restart your computer.

You quite well find malware. Given that analyses indicate that you are clean I have to wonder if you might have any type of registrycleaner/Assistant program? If so and the above does not check such a program for recent backups that have been created before the issue with Security Center was born.

    I hope this helps.

  • I had a program called Security Master AV. I went and deletedd, at least I thought I did, but it reappear

    original title: remove a program.

When my computer has been updated to my programs.  I had a program called Security Master AV.  I went and deletedd, at least I thought I did, but it reappear.  Help, please

Follow the instructions given below Web site

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-security-master-AV

Use malwarebytes to remove this program

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

Security Master AV is a program that impersonates an anti-malware program, but is actually a computer infection that uses deceptive tactics to make you think you are infected. This program is considered to be a fake anti-spyware and belongs to the family of Virus Doctor. Security Master AV is generally installed through Trojans that pretend to be legitimate programs, but instead to install this rogue on your computer without your permission. The installer will also create many harmless files that are detected as malware when Security Master AV scans your computer. Once installed, the thief will be configured to start automatically when you log in to Windows. Once launched, it will scan your computer and state that the files that it created during installation are malicious files residing on your machine. In reality, these files are harmless and pose no harm to your computer. They are only intended for you to scare you into thinking you are infected in the hopes that you will then purchase the program.

    Hope this helps

  • try to connect on my Bank to get the error code: ssl_error_inappropriate_fallback_alert. Works ok use eg.

The foregoing explains almost everything - but right now only get this error on this computer on ONE of my banks. On my netbook, I get this on other sites, including the site of virgin.net .

Because I only get this error using Firefox, I guess it's an error in Firefox.

The problem was SSL scanning in Bitdefender and they say that there will be an update soon to fix the problem. I just had to open the interface of Bitdefender, go to Protection, web Protection and turn off SSL scanning.

  • Invalid certificate OCSP signing of OCSP response. (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_invalid_signing_cert)

I first saw this error last night first with tumblr and then tried to go to the mozilla support site to see what the problem is, but got the same error. Then with the help of Google, I discovered enter in the ' all: config "and by setting the 'security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling' to FALSE to work as a temporary solution to my problem and things started to work properly.

Today, I put 'security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling' to the REAL but still have the same "OCSP valid OCSP response signing certificate. (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_invalid_signing_cert) "message when opening tumblr and mozilla are supported.

The solution for most people seems to be to give him time, but I wonder if I'm having one different problem to others from sites like twitter and dropbox seemed broken when I tried to open them. But when "security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling" has been set to FALSE, they seem to work well.

An incorrect system on your computer clock may cause problems OCSP.

You can check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click on the clock icon in the Windows taskbar.

You can check the certificate through a site like this string:

    Hello

To me that sounds like that, you type the wrong password. You must enter the password on the laptop as on the router. Don t forget that the use of capital letters and tiny initials.

Last but not least, I would try to update the firmware of the router. So check the manufactures website.

  • Prodock II button / stop does not not unless you open the lid of the laptop

We bought several ProDock II (TP. PDOCK.002 - A05) docking station for use with our brand new TMP645-M notebooks (TMP645-M-54204G12tkk).

When securing laptops, we noticed that you need to open the cover for the power button on the dock to work. Otherwise, there will be just orange. We have a lot of faulty docks, or is it a design flaw? Why have a button on the dock if you must open the cover on the desktop until you can use it. In this case, you might as well push button on cell phones instead.

    Found the answer.

By installing BIOS 2.08, released April 24, 2014, you have access to this neat new feature:
