no connection modem ethernet/rca because of network cards

I have a digital cable modem RCA DHG535-2. It has an enthernet and a USB port connection.  As a first step, I would get both connections at the same time. It was fine. Then the USB thompson went berseck; It is not compatible with Widows Vista, where dysfunction... but now it's fine.

Now I can not connect via the ethernet cable. Connections network shows an x on the first line (owner-network).

It worked yesterday. Mediacom says it all was required was to supply the modem. It worked yesterday, but I've done it for the last two hours and still not get the modem to work.

(The ethernet didn't even need drivers, you should be able to automatically connect to the internet). When I click on that x, he says of the network controller Nvidia Nforce knows the hardware or driver issues.

I wonder if it's just the old shabby modem. Apparently people are buying their own modems... probably because of this situation...

First of all, you can try to temporarily disable the security software and check if you can connect.

Step 3: Alternatively, you can try to run the network diagnostic to check if the modem or the network adapter is at the origin of the problem.

Open Network Diagnostics by clicking on the Network icon in the notification area and then click diagnose and repair.

Step 4: If this is a recent problem, and then you try to do a System Restore and check if you can solve the problem

1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

4. click on finish

Note: when you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    Hello!  This morning my Windows 7 (the motherboard Acer) desktop ceased to recognize the wired connection to its network card.  In other words, it shows kind of connection, but notes "no Internet access.  It connects to a surfboard by Motorola through one Ooma hub, although I encounter the same problem when I connect to the desktop directly to the surfboard.  All other devices Wi-wired and that connect to the surfboard are functioning properly.

    Thinking that the Realtek NIC on the motherboard Asus was the problem, I installed a new Trendnet network interface card in the PCI slot.  I disabled the network card to the motherboard via the BIOS settings.  No change.  Always 'no Internet access.

    Time Warner Cable test the modem from their office and said it was working properly.  I also connected a laptop directly to the surf board using the same cable, and he was able to connect to the internet.

    Can someone help me understand what the problem is?  Thank you!

    I am networking two PC Win XP, SP3, running with a printer Officejet 8500 A909b via a Netgear router.

    Previously, I had the printer connected by USB to a PC as needed with no problems except having to change the USB between PC to print.

    I tried several times to uninstall and reinstall the printer software, disabled the firewall & Anti virus, reset the router, reset the printer network settings & them restarted everything with no success.

    I printed the network configuration page & tried to enter the address EWS (http://0.0.0.0) in the browser Web without success either.

    I found the lights on the printer on the ethernet port does not at all & tried four different ethernet cables all work elsewhere. I tried all four ports ethernet to the router also.

    Having problems for local users, connection to a file and print server in one of my satellite offices.
    When my t1 connection is disrupted (problem of local carrier) my users when the connection is down to connect to the file room and print and always have access to their files and the local printer.
    The domain controller is off site in my main office.
    Environment:
    All local desktop clients are windows machines 7.
    Printing and local file is a windows 2003 server.
    DC is window 2008
    Note that we recently changed all 2003 to all domain controllers the PDC 2008, suspect that it may cause the problem, but just cannot know where it track.
    Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
