No connections avalible on windows 7 with a working wireless adapter.

That's what happened. I was in a Skype call with my friend and we had a connection error after about 30 seconds. Immediately I thought that it was my internet because my internet was very uneven, lately. After resetting my router and comeing back upstairs, I had the No. are networks avalible on my screen. Initially I thought that the proablem lied through my system services application, because that's where I set the proablem last time I had this proablem. What I did after that was I have activated the service autoconfic wwan and wlan autoconfiguration service. Has nothing. According to what I've done, I went to control panel and pass to solve my adapeter wireless even if it has been enabled and connected. Then I went in my device manager and tried to update the drivers on my adapter wireless by uninstalling it and then put it back. Then I noticed that teredo tunneling Pseudo-Interface was defective. I went to check and saw that he cound not start and had an error code 10: cound device does not start. I went to google and learned how to turn it off, and I did. After that he appeared more in the Device Manager which is ok because I thought that it would fix the internet. He did not.before all this I did a before a "critical update" windows system restore but that also did not help. I started running out of options. Please help me.

It seems to me, of course, that your wireless network card is toast, no matter what that says Device Manager.  However...

I didn't ask and you don't mention what you use a wireless router.  Is it possible that the router configuration has changed to the Wireless-N only, Wireless-B only, or some other setting with no Wireless-G?

Indeed, is it possible that your wireless router has its section wireless disabled or broken?  Do you have any other wireless device that you can use to determine if the router is working OK?  If possible, test with a device near your desktop (it sounds as if your router is at some distance away).

MalwareBytes AntiMalware (free) is not an antivirus.  It's a scanner antimalware on demand/remover that is intended to be used with an antivirus program.  See https://helpdesk.malwarebytes.org/hc/en-us/articles/201861736-Does-Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware-replace-antivirus-software-

Similarly, for Windows 7, Windows Defender is an anti-spyware program and not an antivirus (Microsoft makes things very confusing by reusing the same names for different products).

If these two are security programs only you, your system is vulnerable, and you must install a real antivirus program.  Free offer of Microsoft - Windows 7 - is Microsoft Security Essentials.

For now, I suggest that you run the ESET Online Scanner (free), but I don't think that malware is the cause of your Wi - Fi connection problem.

D - Link does not appear to be any drivers for the Rev B of your adapter for what version that went Windows XP 32-bit.  D Link says that you should connect to the Internet using your wired LAN connection and get the driver right from Windows Update.  When you uninstalled and reinstalled the adapter using Device Manager, have you checked the box to delete the driver software?  If this is not the case, do it and then try to reinstall.  You need to be connected by an Ethernet cable in order to re - download the driver from Windows Update.  See http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/support/faq/adapters/usb-adapters/how-do-i-install-my-wireless-adapter-correctly-in-windows

I doubt that D-Link updated its Wireless Configuration Utility for Windows 7, but if that was the case and that you use it, disable or uninstall (check Control Panel > programs and features).

Other than the above, I'm sorry but I'm out of ideas.

Create a disc of the Encyclopedia Britannica, which is designed for up to Windows XP with Vista work. Is this possible?

    Hi Silas Martin,

I have not used Britannica for many years now, but I suppose there is a program of "installation"? If so, try compatibility mode.

1 / locate the setup.exe (or install file) for the program of Britannica

2 / right click on the file setup.exe or install.exe, and in the drop-down menu, select Properties.

3 / in the Properties window, click the Compatibility tab

4 / on the Compatibility tab place a 'TICK' in the box beside the box "run this program in compatibility mode for", then select the operating system Windows XP (Service Pack 3). This should automatically appear in the box under the run this program in compatibility mode for option. If Windows XP is not visible, then click on the arrow down to see a selection of the available operating system options.

    5 / click OK

6 / the installation program will now begin to install the program in compatibility mode for Windows XP

7 / once done, you should be able to run the program as if you were using Windows XP

  • Settings need to connect a second desktop computer using a NetGear wireless adapter.

    Original title: wireless settings

I need the settings to connect a second desktop computer using a NetGear wireless adapter.

The Belkin router work a lot using my Tablet and streaming movies but I can't understand

the settings on the second PC.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

"Settings", you need are the SSID (network name) and the encryption key (password).

Unless you have configured the router to 'hide' the SSID (generally a bad idea), you will see in the list of available wireless networks.  Then, the only thing you need is the encryption key.

If you do not write your encryption key, you can find it by logging into your router configuration utility.

If you have a computer running Windows can now connect to the router, open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) and type "ipconfig" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.  Take note of the 'Default gateway' address.  It is the IP address of the router.

The default IP for Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1.

On a computer that is already connected to the router, open a browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox) and enter the IP address of the router (the gateway by default, you noted above or 192.168.2.1).  If you do not have a computer that is connected to the wireless router, you will need to temporarily connect a computer to the router by an Ethernet cable.

Connect to the router configuration utility.  If prompted for a password and you don't remember, you need to reset the router to its factory default.  Return ticket for additional instructions.

Once logged in, click on "Security" under "wireless" in the menu.  At this point, you should see a page that shows your password.  Write it down and exit the router configuration utility without making any changes.

For more help, post back with the model of your Belkin router and also mention if you have any Windows computer that can connect to the router (and if yes, what version of Windows they use).

  • How can I get the Easy Connect feature in Windows Remote Assistance to work?

I am using the Easy Connect feature in Windows Remote Assistance and he tells me that he 'could not connect on the peer-to-peer network. Both computers are running Windows 7, but I don't even get the chance to say even the computer that I want to. I'm not on a corporate network and the Easy Connect function works fine on three other computers on my home network, including two run Home Premium and other professionals, so it may not be a problem with my router. My computer works professional. I tried to use it on wireless and wired. My computer, as well as others, I tried it on, use Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall. Among the computers on which I tried it as well as mine works µTorrent. All computers run Fomine NetSent GUI. Two of the other computers I've tried on and my own running LogMeIn. I checked the Remote Assistance settings on my computer and it is allowed. I don't know what else might be able to do this!

  • Windows 7 will not recognize wireless adapter

    Hello

My hard drive was recently started giving me problems so I just bought a new SSD. It is a desktop computer with a wireless PCI card. I have not yet removed the old HDD and when I start Windows with this one, I am still able to use the wireless adapter (both facilities use Windows 7)
When I go into Device Manager and try to search for hardware changes on the network cards (on the installation of the SSD), nothing comes up.
Network cards that show on the old HDD:
    Map Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport
    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
    TP-LINK 300Mbps Wireless N adapter
Network card which shows on the SSD:
    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
    The SSD also indicates:
Other devices > network controller (has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark beside it, but couldn't find an update)
I can't find a driver for the TP-LINK wireless network card, but I understand that this feature needs to be integrated to Windows in any case - I do not remember having to install whatever it is extra to do work on the old HDD.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

    If it's your TP-Link adapter

Download the driver from the V4

(Possibly on a key usb on another PC, then install it)

I have this kit and it runs on win7 & win8 both with the above driver

  • How to share printer connected to the Windows XP with Windows 7 computer

    Original title: printer problem

I have a HP USB printer connected to a PC running XP.  My wife has a laptop and connects to my Internet connection through a router.  Is there a command in XP that will access the printer even though it is not wireless?  The laptop is running Windows 7 and using Microsoft Home and Business 2010, and therefore the PC.   I was told that it is a command, but can't find it.

    Hi BudRamey,

Share the printer from Windows XP for use with Windows 7 as well.

See this link for more information on this operation:

    Additional reference on:

Once you share the printer from the computer Windows XP, select the wizard file sharing and printers in Windows 7 as well.

Refer to the section "to turn on network discovery, file and sharing, printers and files public sharing under Windows 7" from the link given below to do the same thing.

Fax from a computer, you must have an analog modem installed, internal or external.

Reason: the fax machine at the other end is connected to a regular analog telephone line, not cable or a DSL line.

Welcome to the Windows 7 Compatibility Center: section analogous modem...

  • Cannot connect to a WPA - PSK with WLAN DW1520 Wireless-N particular, but can when no security is set to wireless. How can I get the card to use WPA - PSK?

I have a DW1520 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini card in an Alienware M17X10. I am trying to connect my home through a TRENDNet TEW-435BRM access DSL issue in WPA - PSK.

I was able to get the card to use the accounts wireless WPA2-PSK and WPA - PSK in other areas is not a problem directly related to WPA - PSK.

I can get it to connect to the network when the diffuse TRENDnet without security (free release) and when directly plugged into the wireless router, cable - but every time I go to dissemination of WPA - PSK it can't connect?

While in WPA - PSK the WLAN card can 'see' the network and wireless router can see the 'computer' (and is a 'trust machine'). I have one couple of other previous model Dells connected to the network without problem or needed changes if any ideas why I would have questions here?

The driver installed is the 'last' to 5.60.48.35.

I tried to restart the router and the computer without success. I use Windows Firewall.

No bright sparks that can point me in the right direction?

    Thank you
