Windows 10 and virtual Broadcom wireless adapter

The app will win 10 tell me that my Broadcom Wireless Adapter virtual will no Windows 10 support and I am not able to connect to internet and I need to update the driver.  I have the latest driver which is version 5.60.48.18.

It is a Dell Studio 1557 with a Dell Wireless 1520 Wireless LAN - N card.

If it'll work or not, or do I just have to come to Windows 10?

    Hello

My hard drive was recently started giving me problems so I just bought a new SSD. It is a desktop computer with a wireless PCI card. I have not yet removed the old HDD and when I start Windows with this one, I am still able to use the wireless adapter (both facilities use Windows 7)
When I go into Device Manager and try to search for hardware changes on the network cards (on the installation of the SSD), nothing comes up.
Network cards that show on the old HDD:
    Map Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport
    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
    TP-LINK 300Mbps Wireless N adapter
Network card which shows on the SSD:
    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
    The SSD also indicates:
Other devices > network controller (has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark beside it, but couldn't find an update)
I can't find a driver for the TP-LINK wireless network card, but I understand that this feature needs to be integrated to Windows in any case - I do not remember having to install whatever it is extra to do work on the old HDD.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

    If it's your TP-Link adapter

    http://www.TP-link.com/en/products/details/?CategoryID=240&model=TL-WN821N#down

Download the driver from the V4

(Possibly on a key usb on another PC, then install it)

I have this kit and it runs on win7 & win8 both with the above driver

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is the correct controller for your motherboard (and only one)

  • No connections avalible on windows 7 with a working wireless adapter.

That's what happened. I was in a Skype call with my friend and we had a connection error after about 30 seconds. Immediately I thought that it was my internet because my internet was very uneven, lately. After resetting my router and comeing back upstairs, I had the No. are networks avalible on my screen. Initially I thought that the proablem lied through my system services application, because that's where I set the proablem last time I had this proablem. What I did after that was I have activated the service autoconfic wwan and wlan autoconfiguration service. Has nothing. According to what I've done, I went to control panel and pass to solve my adapeter wireless even if it has been enabled and connected. Then I went in my device manager and tried to update the drivers on my adapter wireless by uninstalling it and then put it back. Then I noticed that teredo tunneling Pseudo-Interface was defective. I went to check and saw that he cound not start and had an error code 10: cound device does not start. I went to google and learned how to turn it off, and I did. After that he appeared more in the Device Manager which is ok because I thought that it would fix the internet. He did not.before all this I did a before a "critical update" windows system restore but that also did not help. I started running out of options. Please help me.

It seems to me, of course, that your wireless network card is toast, no matter what that says Device Manager.  However...

I didn't ask and you don't mention what you use a wireless router.  Is it possible that the router configuration has changed to the Wireless-N only, Wireless-B only, or some other setting with no Wireless-G?

Indeed, is it possible that your wireless router has its section wireless disabled or broken?  Do you have any other wireless device that you can use to determine if the router is working OK?  If possible, test with a device near your desktop (it sounds as if your router is at some distance away).

MalwareBytes AntiMalware (free) is not an antivirus.  It's a scanner antimalware on demand/remover that is intended to be used with an antivirus program.  See https://helpdesk.malwarebytes.org/hc/en-us/articles/201861736-Does-Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware-replace-antivirus-software-

Similarly, for Windows 7, Windows Defender is an anti-spyware program and not an antivirus (Microsoft makes things very confusing by reusing the same names for different products).

If these two are security programs only you, your system is vulnerable, and you must install a real antivirus program.  Free offer of Microsoft - Windows 7 - is Microsoft Security Essentials.

For now, I suggest that you run the ESET Online Scanner (free), but I don't think that malware is the cause of your Wi - Fi connection problem.

D - Link does not appear to be any drivers for the Rev B of your adapter for what version that went Windows XP 32-bit.  D Link says that you should connect to the Internet using your wired LAN connection and get the driver right from Windows Update.  When you uninstalled and reinstalled the adapter using Device Manager, have you checked the box to delete the driver software?  If this is not the case, do it and then try to reinstall.  You need to be connected by an Ethernet cable in order to re - download the driver from Windows Update.  See http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/support/faq/adapters/usb-adapters/how-do-i-install-my-wireless-adapter-correctly-in-windows

I doubt that D-Link updated its Wireless Configuration Utility for Windows 7, but if that was the case and that you use it, disable or uninstall (check Control Panel > programs and features).

Other than the above, I'm sorry but I'm out of ideas.

  • Downloaded Windows 7 and now internet wireless does not work

Can see Wi - Fi but no access to the network

    Kayleigh3283,
You must contact the manufacturer of the adapter wireless for an updated driver.  If they no longer make this device or are not up to date drivers for it then you can look for 3rd party driver sites.

  • [Win7] How routing metric is determined when wired and connected to the same subnet and enabled both wireless adapter

We have one under the Network Setup:

1 Win 7 laptop with the wireless and wired adatper1 card1 enabled and connected to the 192.168.1.0 network.

    WLA1 - 192.168.1.2

    WA1 - 192.168.1.3

2 Win 7 laptop with the wireless and wired adatper2 card2 enabled and connected to the 192.168.1.0 network.

    WLA2 - 192.168.1.4

    WA2 - 192.168.1.5

WLA1 and WLA2 are connected by a wireless access point.

WA1 and WA2 are connected via L2 switch.

Every time we ping from laptop1 to 192.168.1.4, need the wireless path.

Similarly, when we ping from laptop1 to 192.168.1.5 only need to access wired road.

In addition, if we disable WLA1 in laptop1 and laptop1 192.168.1.4 ping, ping does not occur and ping is successful only if the wireless network adapter is enabled. It does not take the cable path.

    I just sub questions:

-On what basis the route is chosen correctly?

-Can we expect this happens all the time or roads can vary according to certain parameters?

-Why it only takes the path wired when we ping from laptop1 to 192.168.1.4 after having turned off the WLA1.

  • Printing - Windows 7 and HP printer wireless problem

I'm having a problem with wireless printing on... I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, on a a new HP laptop and an hp officejet pro 8500 wireless device.  As another user on this forum... it will work if I plug in the usb cable, but it is not an acceptable solution for me.  I have two other computers on my wireless network... a mac and an office (both on different operating systems) that are printing the printer wireless without a problem.  It will remain not connected my laptop (Windows 7).  What seems to happen, is that I lose my connection to the network.  This is not moved until I started trying to print wireless.  But now that I am printing wireless I can print a job or two, and then I lose my connection.  If I run upstairs and power to the bottom of my router, I'll be able to print again... briefly... and then I lose my wireless connection and I start over again.  I uninstalled and reinstalled.  I installed the correct drivers (and I am able to print... but I'll have to restart my router every 30 minutes approximately).  If I'm not looking to print wireless from my laptop (with windows 7) I don't have this problem... I lose no connection between my laptop and the wireless network unless I'm wireless printing.  Other computers on the wireless network will continue to work very well, but I have to restart my router in order to get reactivated the ability to print.  Print a couple of jobs and then * poof * I can't print more.     My router is a Belkin N + B1F688.  My printer is connected wireless to my router and is recognized and used by two other computers.  I spent COUNTLESS hours trying to solve this problem.  I have lived my configuration of the firewall.  WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  • Windows 7rc mode window xp and virtual pc

    Hi all

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I am running version 2.06 of the merger with windows 7 rc as a virtual machine (installed from iso). Everything works ok. Then I tried to get windows xp mode to work and it is installed with windows virtual pc, but is unable to run because the virtual hardware is not enabled in the bios.

I understand how to do this on a pc, but is there a work around when you use a virtual machine?

any help will be much appreciated.

VT extensions are not virtualized.  If you can't run XP mode in a virtual machine.

  • Inspiron n4010 virtual wireless adapter shows 'unplugged', does not connect

I've scoured the web looking for a solution to this problem, found a similar question posted here, but no solution... en.Community.Dell.com/.../20263886

My friend brought me his Inspiron n4010 notebook help saying until a few months ago, he used to connect to the wifi with no problems. All of a sudden, it wouldn't show all wireless networks available no matter where she went - its wireless home network, work network and neighborhood of free wifi hotspots - none would connect. Similarly, I have tried with my home wireless network and my network wireless office without result. Connect LAN2 (for Boradcom virtual Wireless Adapter) this always as 'unplugged network Cable.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS TAKEN UP TO NOW:
    ***************************************************************

    1. check that the wireless is enabled via the F2 key - it's (but turn it off seems to have no effect).

    2. check that the wireless is enabled in the BIOS - I. BIOS version is A02, I have not tried so far. I prefer to do it as a last resort, unless that specific need.

    BIOS: Wireless: enabled
Wireless (Switch) / (Hotkey): all the
    Internal Bluetooth: enabled
    Internal WLAN: enabled
    Internal WWAN: enabled

    3. the Device Manager shows wireless network devices as missing from all the drivers? N °
Device Manager showed the following details: virtual map of Broadcom, provider wireless: Broadcom, driver Date: 01-21-2010, driver Version: 5.60.48 - 35, digital signer: MS Windows HW Compatible Publisher

4 are the network updated wireless drivers? With the help of Dell system detects, automatic detection of the system, he showed a driver update available listed as "Dell Wireless WLAN 1501 half Mini-Card (4313bgn) Driver. When running Setup, it gave an error "no compatible hardware found...". »

    6. I checked the Windows Mobility Center. Wireless 'tile' was where it should have, according to other messages I saw who were on this subject. Strangely, when I clicked on the button to launch under Dell - Radio control options, checkboxes Wi - Fi and Mobile Broadband have been unchecked and greyed out.

    7. I have reset the winsock catalog and restarted the computer via the elevated command prompt (Administrator)
    NET winsock reset catalog
    No change in status wireless.

    8. I disabled the Norton firewall and Windows and anti-virus to see if wireless was somehow blocked by them. No change in status wireless.

    9. I checked the Windows power plan settings to confirm that network cards did not have their power reduced. I put the adapter wireless for maximum while on battery and current performance alternative.

    10. I checked the Windows Event Viewer logs > Windows Logs > system:

I've seen repeated Scriptures error spread among the many dates of "BTHUSB (Blue Tooth adapter failed in an indeterminate way, will not be used.". The driver has been unloaded. "I saw no reference to what about wireless however.

    11. I tried to run Windows Update manually to see what, if any, driver updates it can find (using a network cable connection) and got the error 'cannot be updated because the Windows Update service is not started. I confirmed that he was released. I also manually stopped and restarted the service but continued to get the same error message. I kept the Windows Firewall and Norton Firewall (and antivirus) disabled in case they were interfereing with Windows Update, but no luck.

    12. I ran bad/ad/spyware scans with a portable version of Spybot and also a free version of SuperAntiSpyware, analyze the results showed several adware results, that have been deleted.

    13. I tried to manually configure the IP address, subnet mask and entered default gateway for IPv4 to the wireless adapter, which had been put on "obtain automatically", as it should. I also put the server DNS preferred my ISP (Comcast), then tried Google 8.8.8.8. This should have worked but the connection still showed as "cable disconnected" (why is a mistake to launch a "cable disconnected" wireless connection?)

    14. just for fun, I ran the update from the Intel driver from their site (via wired), who identified the available for graphics and Chipset updates - I've updated both, but it did not help (no surprise).

    15. I started Windows in Safe Mode with network - just as in normal mode, he showed the connection wireless as "cable disconnected".

I am open to any suggestions at this point. The laptop is out of warranty so prefer to avoid paid support, if in any way possible.

If you can get a hardware ID by activating / deactivating it on or turned off, it suggests itself wireless card is bad... Diagnostic tests could confirm this:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/F12-Preboot-Diagnostics/

You can look in the service manual to try and reinsert the card or replace it. His work a bit longer than necessary:

    http://FTP.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/Inspiron-14r_service%20manual_en-us.PDF

An easier solution if you are uncomfortable with the material of the Assembly would be to buy a USB wireless adapter.

  • Omni220 - 1135a: Broadcom virtual wireless adapter not Compatible during the upgrade to Windows 7 to 10

Error verifying upgrade compatibility of Windows 7 to 10.

Virtual not showing Broadcom wireless adapter is not Compatible:

My computer got the latest driver Broadcom Wireless Adapter (2010-11-22 5.100.82.33)

HP has communicated with Broadcom to provide a compatible driver Windows 10 on Windows 7?

Later, I turned off the virtual card Broadcom wireless and found that I could still use WiFi, I went and updated to Windows 10 level in any case. Virtual map of wireless Broadcom comes off the list in Device Manager, but I can still use the WiFi without worrying.

  • Satellite A660 - Broadcom internal wireless adapter does not work

    Hi all

My first post to this forum - I have a new laptop of Toshiba Satellite A660 - only had for about 4 weeks and it turns out be a disaster for me...

Firstly - I spend weeks getting everything on and configured as I want - then the hard drive begins to die...

I just returned it service center Toshiba and NOW wifi has stopped working...
Internal broadcom wireless adapter doesn't work - but according to windows and built-in Diagnostics it works...

HOWEVER - when I try to use wireless with the built-in adapter may not detect all wireless networks...

I then plug in my adapter netgear usb wireless backup and I can pick up and connect both of my wireless home networks...
I am moving abroad in a few weeks and need to know that my laptop will work/be reliable and not have any problems-if anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

    John.

Before starting the scan for available wireless networks you have activated WLAN card correctly?
