No display after the update of BIOS on Satelltie P100

Hi all

I have a P100, which does not display laptop.
Recently I have updated the Bios with this years updated bios.
The problem is that it does not start on the external monitor and FN + f5 do not work.
The laptop starts so I guess this is the display setting in the bios.

Can anyone who has the P100 (pspa0e) with the latest Bios (32-bit) write down the exact key sequence to enter the bios and change this setting and save it?

Kind regards

Stephan

Thanks much for the feedback!

    Hello

To me, it seems that the BIOS update procedure has failed.
For no apparent reason has frozen the system and you have interrupted the update procedure.

According to mu ROM module (where the BIOS is stored) has not been flashed properly and this is the reason why you cannot start the laptop.

In this case, you need the help of ASP I know, this really stupid s situation but I'm afraid there is no alternative to m.

I think that the technician will try to flash the ROM module using a special BIOS and then the cell phone should start properly if all goes well. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

  • Problems with the display after the update of Windows

    Hi guys,.

I have not installed or updated all programs on my computer for at least a few weeks, with the exception of Windows Update, so part of MS updates, nothing has changed in recent weeks.

A few days ago, my computer (HP dm1 laptop computer) screen acted funny - I took a screenshot of what happens and posted here:

http://DL.dropbox.com/u/1076277/desktop_problem.jpg - basically, the display is all messed up with repetition of lines, etc.

At first I thought it could be a driver problem, but the drivers are ok and were not being updated - in fact, in addition to the usual updates, the only new was the new update now live.

I did a system restore (restore a week) and everything seemed normal again - this problem is intermittent, but very frequent, but within a few hours of use, there is no problems - until I run Windows Update, and it all started again...

Any suggestions as to what might be the cause of the problem and a solution? I don't really have the time now to keep stable each item in the update...

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

If you want to study, it will take time but you can find the offending update.

First update all updates (redundant, uh?).

Make a note of all of the updates (KB numbers, etc.).

Restore and install the updates one by one and not simultaneously.

This way you can find the update 'wrong' and later come to conclusions based on what it is supposed to fix.

  • Words don't is not displayed after the update to iOS10

Many songs in my library have incorporated the lyrics (that I added using the 'Words' of iTunes tab). I'm used to be able to see everything while listening to the songs on my iPod Touch by tapping the image "sleeve" of the song.

After the iOS10, this method does no more work. The other method, new to iOS10 (a special menu item "Words") does not either, as I don't see this anywhere menu item for all of my songs containing words. (Someone said that this function only works for the songs in Apple's music.)

What should I do to restore this feature? Return to 9.3.5 or wait until Apple condescending to people like me who want to be able to read the lyrics while listening to the songs and who do not want to subscribe to the Apple's music?

    Form the iOS 10 manual

See the lyrics. Drag until you see words, and then press Show to see. Press Hide to hide.

  • After the update to OS 9.2.1 connection of my mini iPad with a VGA projector no longer works... Any clue?

After the update to OS 9.2.1 connection of my mini iPad with a VGA projector no longer works... Any clue? Thank you

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

  • After the updates of windows, the computer stops responding with a black screen at startup of the system

Original title: Windows XP does not start after the update, no error message

Has made no changes to the system, but the last thing that happened was an update of Windows security on stop.

Now when I boot, the BIOS p.o.s.t. shows good HDs, good DVD-Rom, RAM, but Windows never starts, goes just a black screen, HDs are not accessed.

-F8 does nothing, can't use the last known good Config or Mode safe

-Change boot order in the BIOS to boot from the Windows XP DVD, hoping to get the recovery console, but the same thing: black screen, no attempt to spin-up DVD or HDs.

-Removal of mobo battery to reset the CMOS, no joy.

-Checked and re checked all connections inside.

-Stripped devices and added one at a time, no joy.

-Traded-in an old video card in case it was difficult to generate the higher res gfx, no joy.

I was construction/upgrade / repair my own PC for 3 decades and can usually solve the problem and fix it myself, but this one me completely baffled.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Cougarific,

We recommend that you repair your Windows installation in according to method 2 of this article and check the result.
See computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP

Note: When you perform a repair installation, it restores the current installation of Windows XP to the version on the installation DVD. This requires you to reinstall all updates that do not appear in this version of Windows XP disc.

  • After the update of Cryptoprevent missing v7.0 the sidebar

    Hello

I've just updated to v7.0 of the CryptoPrevent.

After a reboot my sidebar with gadgets isn't available to retrieve.

CryptoPrevent has the following: "the pane Windows and Desktop Gadgets are a major valunerability for security and Microsoft recommends deactivation. You want to keep disabled (recommended) Yes No

    I chose the 'no '.

Following what CryptoPrevent asked to restart the computer and go with him... but the sidebar do not appear.

I chose the DEFAULT Option: recommended for most people.

There is little time without success.

Someone else has the same situation after the update and is there a cure?

    Concerning

    Win 7 x 64 is my OS

    Snow,

I don't have / use Sidebar/Gadgets, so I can't say anything definitive on this matter.

Just a suggestion... since I'm not sure what the DEFAULT options will check beforehand, we will be absolutely sure through the ADVANCED interface:

Open CryptoPrevent, click OK. Click the ADVANCED tab, select DISPLAY the ADVANCED OPTIONS.   In the left column, to halfway under various Protections, Acheck box for DISABLE WINDOWS SIDEBAR & GADGETS.   Then down to the right, click on the button of PROTECTION will APPLY.  Restart and see what happens.

No guarantee it will make a difference, but it's worth a try.

Delete buttons do not work after the update of 10.11.16.  The delete button works if I pointed out and then delete, but not if I use the "back" button or try a removal of uniqueness.  It is a problem in all applications.  I tried it in textedit, search google chrome, safari search and find finder engine.  There seems to be a 'problem' of the keyboard' as far as I know nothing happened to my keyboard, IE the spilt coffee, that recent warming has been updated to 10.11.16.  I use an iMac (27-inch, late 2009) with i5 clocked at 2.66 GHz, running OS X El Capitan.

Reset of the controller management system (SCM) on your Mac - sometimes it's a matter of simply resetting your iMac SMC. Open this article and scroll down to "Reset the SMC on Mac desktop" section and follow the steps there.

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - if your keyboard does not always work as it should, I recommend you save your iMac to ensure that your personal data are safe. It is always better "to have" a backup for a backup "need."
