No free writing?

I bought Adobe Acrobat X Standard at Amazon, installed and have been using it without problem.  But now I want to write a document, and the option of drafting is not in its usual place under Protection.  Any ideas?

The version of Acrobat Standard does not contain the redaction tool. To get it, you must upgrade to Acrobat Pro.

There is another option. Writing feature actually does not exist in the Standard version, it is not directly accessible, but you can use it via a script like this, I developed: Scripts custom Adobe: Acrobat - convert comments to editors

  • Substituing a text box for a check box

I have a PDF form that has been transformed by Adobe in a form to fill out. The only thing is that he has converted some boxes in an area of free writing whereas I want him as a checkbox.

It seems that the only way I can do this is to insert this box on the current free writing area and its annoying and time consuming.

Is it possible that I can replace just the free writing for a checkbox area without having to change the size or shape of the box?

I remove the field from the text box and add then checkboxes or a checkbox field, if they are part of an exclusion group.

The Assistant shape is poor enough to create form fields. I just create them all manually by using tools such as creating multiple copies as needed.

  • OVFtool "IO Error" when .ova is extracted from 99%

I'm trying to convert a .ova into a .vmx using OVFTool 2.1.0 but after reaching 99%, I get a "IO error" / transfer drive failed, then the .vmx is deleted.

During the extraction process everything seems in good condition - I can monitor the size of the .vmx file and it continues to increase before it will be brutally deleted after that the error occurs.

Both source and destination files are on my local disk.  Here is the output of OVFTool:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    14/01/2011

Found a solution for the "DVD RW cut and paste problem" in my Windows XP feedback system.

Installed the package free writing Drag2Disc software for Windows Vista (32 bit, 64 bit), XP (32-bit, 64-bit) of IBM/Lenovo on system invited and formatted a DVD disc.  Everything seems to work fine on the DVD RW drive systems of the host and the guest.

The available Drag-to-Disc packet writing software can be downloaded from the following site:
    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo & lndocid = RAHUL-40970

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

    ODA

you set up the writer as IDE

in my experience, you must configure it as SCSI
    See http://sanbarrow.com/vmx/vmx-cd-settings.html

even then, I'm not sure if the packet writing is supported - software for CD burning ordinary as Nero and others should work well

  • Free hypervisor: reading / / v5 script writing?

    Hello comrades vUsers.

A few days ago, that a customer pointed out that with the ESXi 5 licensed as free hypervisor, with the help of PowerCLI, they could script whatever they want, including write operations. (Creating, destroying computers, power-on/power-off). I could check this in a test environment.

So far, I have nothing on this subject in the pages of literature, or at all, so it is impossible for me to check if is mistakenly or intentionally.

Is someone can enlighten us as to what is happening? Is reading / writing-scripting is going to stay? Is it established anywhere?

    Thank you

Thank you, we are aware of this problem and it will be corrected in a future version

If you want for free, why not use of integrated speech recognition in Vista?

Of course, if you want a 'good', you will probably have to pay for it.

I am a longtime mozilla/firefox user and just noticed today, which you offer a free video chat, and as I was writing down, she asked my age and I mustve hit something wrong he has redirected me to a page saying, I can't register as I am a child less use it... it was a typo I am 58 years old, so not sure what I hit by mistake, but there is no way for me to fix this and I would like to be able to use the free video chat...

can you please help me with this, either reset the option for me to register, or get my exact age for me which is 58...

  • Is there any way I can remove to concede Mozilla non exclusive, free of charge, worldwide license to use the content that I can download using Sync?

I started to download Mozilla Sync to my computer, but stopped after reading an article in the terms of use. He States, "5. Your content in our Services: you can download content as part of the functionality of the Services. By downloading the content, you grant us hereby an exclusive, royalty-free license throughout the world to use your content in the context of the provision of Services. "Take you represent and warrant that your content will not infringe the rights of any third party and that it will comply with any content directive introduced by Mozilla ', so I stopped the download until I could learn more.
I also think that your privacy under the heading synchronization policy says that Mozilla will strive to keep my content only as needed. If this is the case then by two distinct statements in your terms and conditions Privacy policy, you may deem it "necessary" to keep all my content that you want to use.
My question is this, is it possible to deny the exclusive, royalty-free license throughout the world to use my content that I can download using your service of the Mozilla? "I will not be forced to allow anyone this type of license to use my art or writing ' ad arbitrium".

IIRC, section 5 is basically guaranteeing that you are the real owner of the content that is uploaded to Sync, and that Mozilla is not going to get justice for copyright infringement, the content that you download is safe, and the terms are for a "license to use your content in the framework of the provision of Services' not even Mozilla can access.

Is it possible to do what I'm looking for?

I think you need to do is to write the equations in Windows Journal and save the pages. Install the Windows Journal Reader plug in for MS Office program (free download from Microsoft), then import the pages of newspaper into PowerPoint for presentation. If you are projecting the tablet on a screen, you can use Windows Journal as you plan to write on and he won't try to handwriting recognition.

  • M30 DVD-UDF & DVD + R writing

    Hi people,
I wonder if anyone has figured this out already...

So I try to use the format UDF DVD + RW on my M30, using Nero InCD. Initially, InCD would not install and tell me that there is a conflict with the DVD-RAM drivers.
After installing these drivers (after all, price and availability of the media doesn't it look likely that this format has much of a future, and using updated UDF shaped allows to achieve the same results at a lower cost and liked compatibiliy), InCd works very well on my burner DVD EXTERNAL (Iomega Super DVD USB), DVD + RW and CDRW similar. However, the engraver of DVD INTERNAL of the M30 would only form CDRW in UDF format. When formatting DVD + RW to UDF, the program may report an error, at the same time of the formatting process. When loading a DVD + RW that has been formatted UDF disk EXTERNAL, internal drive of the M30 would be recognized properly, read the files it contains, but be unable to write to disk (showing free space 0) and load files in read-only mode. The problem is obviously not with the media itself, given that the drive would erase them without problem and write them in normal CDFS format as well. It seems somehow the firmware of this player prevents handling format UDF DVDRWs. Went to mast * a.com, but it is not help. Anyone any idea?

-also, did anyone have any success since still write DVD + r on this "Multidrive"? I tried several cheap and more expensive, that works on my external hard drive, but none on internally - he will write for them (at the speed of 2.4 x while the external drive wrote for them at 4 x), and then invariably at the end of process, give a message such as "error - could not perform disc at a time." (However, the internal drive reads DVD + R, written on my external hard drive without problem). Among others, I tried Dysan DVD + R and DVD - R not the cheapest Dysan things - and the DVD - R would work fine, while the DVD + R would not. Funny thing is this work of DVD + RW on this drive very well.
So are there any success since still writing DVD + r on this drive? And if yes, what brand?

    see you soon

I wrote TDK DVD + R 4 x successfully and reading them later in different DVD readers.

  • using time machine: I want to use time machine as a separate to free disk space storage drive

Can I use time to free up disk space on my Imac?

Writing an effective question of communities of Apple Support

Time Machine is a backup software. If you mean that you're already using TM and you want to store other items on your backup disk, you can, but it is not a good idea and you will need to partition the drive. http://pondini.org/TM/3.html

  • Legitimate request for a free upgrade to Windows 7

I am new to this forum and am revolted by the attitude of the staff of the Toshiba customer support to my legitimate request for a free upgrade to windows 7, here's an email I wrote in which I would appreciate your comments on:

    To the right.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with your response to my legitimate request for a free upgrade to Windows 7 see I recently spent more than £1,000 of one of your products.

After having several problems with the Vista operating system, I telephoned your customer on December 4 and had a conversation with an employee who could not satisfy me as to why my machine was not entitled to an update free to Windows 7, as mentioned on your web site.

He offered to take me up to a supervisor I agreed and that was connected to a female member of staff who tried to explain that my model did not appear in the "promotion". I couldn't sense in explaining, in the context of facts that my machine was of the same age and from the same family as those seen offer "promotion."

This employee was still unable to respond or understand my question and said that it is not technical interested so I asked him to put me through to his supervisor and after 10 minutes on the line, I need to speak to Alistair Cook.

Mr. Cook explained 'promotion' for me, but could not explain why my model was not an option, so he said he'd call at the time where he discovered why. What he has made some time after and repeated her account earlier with no clarity. He said he would do more research on the issue and send me the results.

This contacting your customer support Office took a total of 48 minutes on the phone.

Vista is of all intentions, a failure, a fact that you accept your offer of free updates to your customers, so why discriminate against some consumers and not others.

I am a user of long-standing computers Toshiba, the Qosmio is my third laptop and I have always been satisfied customer support, not that it was greatly needed. So, I ask again that do you the right thing and give me my eligibility based on principles.

    Yours sincerely.

    Hi mate

    Very interesting point of view.
But the fact is that not all cell phones from Toshiba are checked for an upgrade to Windows 7.
    Why?

Well, I checked Toshiba European page
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-> Windows 7 upgrade

and there I was able to find a list of FAQS.

One of the FAQ provides this info:

_What requirements I must meet to participate in the program of upgrade? _

+ To participate in the upgrade program, you must meet the three following criteria: +.
    + 1. You purchased your Toshiba computer between June 26, 2009 and January 31, 2010. +
+ 2. Your Toshiba computer is one of the series of model to check on the Toshiba page. +
+ 3. With your Toshiba computer, you bought an operating system Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, Windows Vista® professional or Windows Vista® Ultimate Edition. +

It seems that several criteria must be met in order to participate in the Windows 7 upgrade program.

  • error "memory is full" with writing a file permanently PDM

    Hello world

I know that the problem of "memory we complete" has been often discussed in this forum, and I have read these messages, but still could not solve the problem.

We have implemented a test function based on PXI5412 and 5122 modules. The program generates arbitrary waveforms to excite a DUT and acquires its response with digitizer and writing of the data acquired in a TDMS file (~ 40 MB for each measuring point). The program works fine in single point mode, i.e. in quiet passages. However, when I try to run it continuously in a loop TO measure several (up to 1,000) points, the program is always interrupted at halfway when ~ 10 GB of data is recorded with an error "memory is full".

My computer has 4 GB of RAM and the operating system is Windows XP Professional 32-bit. I checked the RAM usage when the error "memory is full" happened. in fact we at least 2.5 GB unused. I learned that maybe it's because he is not a continuous free space in RAM for data. It is also suggested to increase virtual memory to 3 GB for Labview by modifying the boot.ini file. But after I did the program meets still another error "Invalid TDMS" the file reference, and so I could not write all data to a file of PDM.

I joined the part of logging of data of my code here. Is there a another way around the problem of memory, as using the same block of memory for buffering of data between the memory of the digitizer and the hard drive?

    cheney_anu,

I need to know your details of tdms files before I could provide a buffer appropriate setting.

    for example,.

The current design: you write a tdms 40 GB file that contains 1000 groups (a point a group), each group contains 1,000 channels and each channel contains 1 d I16 table with 20 M of length. (Note: this 40 GB tdms file contains 1000 x 1000 = 1 M channels)

Change:, you could write 1 d I16 table instead of table I16 2D, which could reduce the number of channel 1 M 1 k, and then reduce the memory usage.

New design: you write a tdms 40 GB file that contains 1000 groups (a point a group), each group contains 1 channel and each channel contains 1 d I16 array with length 20G (for each point, call 'TDMS write' 1000 times in a "loop For ' and every time write 1 d I16 array with length 20 M). (Note: this 40 GB tdms file contains 1000 x 1 = 1 K channels)

  • Cancel the task which is not yet completed writing

I'm generating analog signals via DAQmx - these signals may be > 10 seconds long by necessity (the sampling frequency is very low). I would like to be able to stop the release of the wave when I press a button. What happens now, when I use the clear task vi, Labview is waiting for some time and generates an error (error-200292, some or all of the samples to write might not be written in the buffer still.) More space free that come samples currently in the buffer.) The task is disabled afterwards, which is what I want, but I don't want the waiting time. Is it possible to interrupt the task writing? I know that it is theoretically possible, because I can't stop the vi and production stoppages, but this isn't really a workable solution.

    Thank you!

Thanks guys, but I thought about it - there was a timeout entry when I started the tasks that I had forgotten to wire, and it was set to 10 s. What makes smaller solved my problem.

  • The registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\conig\software or its log or replacing. It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing.

My laptop does not start all of a sudden upward - it crosses the safe mode screen, acts as if it is loading windows (display the windows screen) then becomes to empty, followed by a very quick flash of the message on a blue screen: "the registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\config\software or its log or replacing."  It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing. "Then, he repeats the cycle.

I looked towards the top of the error on the Microsoft Knowledge base, and the hotfix request using the recovery disk, I.  I wonder how I can get the interactive help on laptop computer file so that I can run so that it fixes the problem... (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545).

Advice, that someone could give me so that I can at least get started again windows go down all the important data before reinstalling Windows would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hey Chris,

Thank you for visiting the Windows Xp forum

I was wondering if you run a retail or OEM of Windows version. If you are using an OEM version of windows, you will need to use the recovery options you have from the manufacturer of your computer. If you run a commercial version, feel free to follow the article in the knowledge base you have found.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307545 how to recover a corrupted registry

I was also wondering if you have another computer to work? If so and you feel comfortable or know someone who can remove the hard drive from the computer and connect it to another computer. You can view the disk hard kit to join. Once the hard drive is connected, you can go in my computer and copy all the files to another hard disk.
