  That would be a problem with the way you have the router or computers configured for wifi. It could be that they are all both use the same ip address. Usually, when configuring a router you begin by setting up a computer with cloning the mac address of the computer to the router and then the other set up. If you do not have a mac address on one of your computers, it's the problem.

• Can not share the internet connection through Wifi

  I am connected to the internet using an external antenna connected via USB to my mac (WIRELESS n 801.11). I want to share this connection since my mac with other devices, i.e. my iPhone. I use the internet connection through system preferences--> sharing--> sharing internet--> connection on the part of wlan to computers via WIFI and give a name and a password for the wifi settings. When I start the connection icon wifi on the the high watch the arrow menu to the top, but it gives an IP address from 169 auto... etc etc and I can't any traffic to my iPhone.

  I tried to configure IPv4 to use DHCP with a manual (instead of automatic DHCP) address and IP I enter the IP address used in the WiFi, wifi says that it is connected to the name of the internet connection in the shared connection, I opened but once again no traffic to the iPhone. Also tried disabling the firewall, once again nothing.

  Is there a reason that you do not have active DHCP.

  Start, Control Panel, network and sharing Center. Click your network properties. Search for TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 and click Properties. Have your settings match mine.

  As you probably already know, reset the network settings deletes saved passwords and network configuration details. It also exports the residual caches and preferences. Most of the time, it should be fixed.

  As it didn't, the only other suggestions I could give are:

  • Go to the option "forget network Wi - Fi" in iOS settings and then manually try to join the wireless network yet.
  • If this does not resolve the problem, then possibly one or more of your Wi - Fi connection settings for your wireless network may have to be changed:
    • Make sure that the network name does not include spaces or special characters.
    • Don't 'hide' your Wi - Fi network.
    • Try temporarily disabling Wi - Fi security to see if the iPad will connect now.

• Unable to connect to wifi after factory reset

  This morning I had to do a factory reset on my Presario SR5214X. All came out of it works well, except that now I can't connect to wifi. The only options it gives me for internet connection are broadband and dial-up. WiFi was working fine before reset and I have installed the only network driver update available on the Web site, but it still does not seem to recognize any kind of wireless connection. The computer is a good 5 or 6 years, but it was working fine and all seemed well before. How can I update or install to get the computer to work again with wifi?

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select the 'Browse my computer for the software' and look for the folder that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

  I don't know if the installer also installs the connection software (that I do not particularly like because I let Windows manage my network connections).

  I had a search online and can't seem to find a solution to my problem. My Sony Experia Z3 Compact worked very well (probably for about 5 months) until recently. For some reason any I can only access the Internet if I connect to the WIFI - I don't get any 3g / 4g etc. icons at the top of the phone say more when I'm outside the WIFI. This problem has only just occurred, but it's been about two weeks now and it has not resolved itself... I'm pretty smart tech and have looked at all the obvious places in the settings but can't seem to sort.

  I do not master reset my phone about 3 weeks (because it has been a little slow / annoyed and reacted ha), but everything seemed fine after that (I think) and all of a sudden, he started to play on the Internet. The phone looks absolutely perfect except for this question. I would accept just the problem because I normally use WIFI, but sometimes having the 4g can be a lifeline so think its needed! HA

  Have you downloaded and installed mobile data and the MMS Internet settings - settings then more then Internet settings - click on accept and then select your network and assuming that you are connected via wifi it should download and install the necessary parameters for 4G work

  I have my Hitron modem in the basement and a flight upward is my new sony bravia 50 kdl50r450a. I am able to connect via WiFi with my smart phone & top of the Tower in the same room but without any problem.

  I have this TV for a month and that once I was able to connect to the net via WiFi.

  I'm on Extreme and tested my speed and got 4 bars. It recognizes my name, modem etc. but sometimes the apps not loading even on the TV. Often, the PVR box updates and transforms itself that I have to activate manually again. This usually up the wide PIN too, I can see.

  I contacted my internet provider to test the speed which seems to be very well.  I put manually the PIN via a laptop computer to make sure that the two PINS of the TV and modem are put in correspondence. I unplugged the TV for 30 seconds.  I unplugged my modem too.  I can't get the net with the exception of a spinning ball.

  I tried internet apps... Sony browser... loading the Google page, but no keyboard can't. Each app gets a spinning ball or Try Again message?

  This set also does not recognize my .jpgs and my videos on my USB it recognizes all the smart features are completely unnecessary at this stage?

  I have Sony KDL-50R550A and I have the same thing as SonyGal. I have only had the TV for a month and I've been able to access the Internet once and it was the first day I put in place. What SonyGal said was my same experience. I even had my cable company come out today (24/09/14) and reset on the router and updated for speed. It does not recognize the WPS, the signal is very strong, but does not connect. Only says:
  Device to wireless TV: found
  Local access: failure
  Internet access: failure
  I tried everything in the troubleshooting, disconnect, reset, prayer, etc. nothing worked. Someone please help...
