  Without documentation open: go to Edition-> Preferences-> units & increments and replace your units of horizontal and vertical rule thumb (or millimeters, or whatever your favorite appliance be).

  I look at the behavior of some simple queries that I start the tuning of our data warehouse.
  
  Using SQL * more and AUTOTRACE, I ran this query two times in a row

  If you can afford it and you think it is a reasonable approach with regard to the remaining segments that are supposed to benefit the buffer cache, you can always consider your segment of table with 'CACHE' that will change the behavior on the full of a broad sector table scan (Oracle treats small and large segments differently during the execution of table scans complete regarding the cache of) marking stamps, you can override this treatment by using the CACHE.   You can use a PARALLEL hint in your statement:

  SELECT /*+ PARALLEL(PROCEDURE_FACT) */ DATA_SOURCE_CD, COUNT(*)
  FROM PROCEDURE_FACT
  GROUP BY DATA_SOURCE_CD;
  

  or you could mark an object as PARALLEL in the dictionary:

  ALTER MATERIALIZED VIEW PROCEDURE_FACT PARALLEL;
  

  Note that since you have 16 processors (or 16 cores that resemble Oracle 32? Check the CPU_COUNT setting) the default parallel degree would be usually 2 times 16 = 32, which means that Oracle generates at least 32 parallel slaves for a parallel operation (it could be another set of 32 slaves if the operation for example include a GROUP BY operation) If you do not use the PARALLEL_ADAPTIVE_MULTI_USER parameter (which allows to reduce the parallelism if several parallel operations running concurrently).

  I recommend to choose a lesser degree parallel to your default value of 32 because usually you gain much by such a degree, then you can get the same performance when you use lower a setting like this:

  SELECT /*+ PARALLEL(PROCEDURE_FACT, 4) */ DATA_SOURCE_CD, COUNT(*)
  FROM PROCEDURE_FACT
  GROUP BY DATA_SOURCE_CD;
  

  The same could be applied to the paralleling of the object:

  ALTER MATERIALIZED VIEW PROCEDURE_FACT PARALLEL 4;
  

  Note When defining the object of many operations in PARALLEL will be parallelisee (DML even can be run in parallel, if you enable dml parallel, which has some special restrictions), so I recommend to use it with caution and begin with an explicit indication in those statements where you know that it will be useful to do.

  Also check that your PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS is high enough when you use parallel operations, which should be the case in your version of Oracle.

  How to adjust 'title base' in FCP X so my text will fall to the bottom line?

  When you type a text in "base title" it starts in the middle of the page anchor.

  So I am only able to use the lower part of the page, unless I have move the text by dragging through the transformation tool. But if I want to type more text, to fill the entire page, it does not appear, because he "hits bottom".

• Version of LR 5.5 Mac in the develop Module, I have histogram, 'Basic' disappeared, next tab is tone curve.  How to bring back Basic.

  In the develop Module Basic TAB went...  Deleted or hidden.  I did a reinstall of the upgrade and same problem.

  Right-click on one of the headings on the right panel, and you will get a pop up like the screenshot.

  Looks like that you add the module to a container whose path is defined in absolute terms. Instead, you can try modules using PopupManager to burst or try adding them to containers like TabNavigator.

• cRIO can't doscover my SEA 3G module

  I didn't ' t assume that anyone who is familiar with the SEA compatible communication Mobile 3 G Module 9721 cRIO?

  Basically, I want to access GSM on the mdule since the cRIO send an SMS when a certain condition is reached. I used the example of SMS-code with the module connected to my PC via ethernt host and it works perfectly but when I directly connect the cRIO module and set the code to know the IP address of module, it times out.

  I've been in contact with the SEA on several occasions, but they were of no help at all. I'm just wondeinrg so maybe someone could have used this module before and know where I am going wrong? Any help is very appreciated,

  I assume that this refers to one NOR 9225, 9227, module x 9229 or 923 in a CompactRIO chassis.  You cannot export the clock aboard 40 MHz to these modules.  One of the modules must be a master, and then you can sync the time base for all modules by setting the Source of the master time base in the Module C Series Properties dialog box.

  Export the 40 MHz clock would not allows you to acquire data much faster still.  Depending on the frequency of the time base, you can calculate using NI 9225 manual Instructions and specificationsdata rates.  However, you are still limited to sampling frequencies in the specified data range.  For a base from time to time as 12.8 MHz, maximum possible sampling frequency is approximately 51.2 kech. / s instead of the available 50 kech. / s with the time of 12.8 MHz base.

• How to set file associations in Windows 7 (not 'open', but others)

  In Windows XP, I could go to a menuFichier associations see or change references to elements like: Edit, print, etc., in addition to 'Open', and I could put the opened another default action (examples 'play', merger or edit).

  You are missing the old style "File Types" dialog allowing you to resolve this kind of things?  In Windows 7 (and Vista), you will need to set manually in the registry.  But there is a small program that brings your familiar functionality.   I have not used it myself, but it seems to be quite impressive.  Here is the link: http://types.sourceforge.net/

  Since a few days, I work with LR CC on an iMac. I imported several templates in the print module. Now on a landscape A4 page LR used margins (right 1.44 cm and left 0.64 cm) and I can't change them. On all models of mij LR straing margins there. How can I remove the margins?

  To set the margins to 0, you must first open the printer driver settings (inside LR print module) and set the edge mode printer driver.

  LR load minimum border, it shows the driver.

  I have used with success that one category of luminaire for my application module root, and then in my test case files I can reference the application embedded this suff module.

  Example:

  In my test for the projectVO scenario file, I'm testing a required attribute in a display object, so I need to access the view object that is in a nested application module:

  fixture1 is a reference to the TestAMFixture class. getApplicationModule() is a method in this class that returns the application root module I set in the TestAMFixture constructor. • Everyone is stuck with a custom Drupal module?

  We use Drupal as our business CMS and unforunately there is no module to easily tie in Eloqua with our platform web site.

  We were able to build our own custom module to set things to Eloqua, but it seems that this should not be necessary.

  Willing to share code if she can make this more painless integration.

  Just to give some closure... looks like that there are no quick fix for this yet, just of people who all had the same problem.
