No option "upgrade to win 10'. It is probably related to the fact that I can't upgrade my IE 10 to 11?

I am running Win 7 Professional with SP1. There is no option "upgrade to 10' in my system tray. The resolution of the problems that I downloaded from microsoft.com to help with this, said that my windows "is not the correct version" for the upgrade, but I'm sure it is. Then I've dug further into the support pages and I've read that I should update IE to 11 before attempting to get the upgrade to win 10.

Now I tried to switch to IE11 for awhile, but I gave up a long time ago because it proved to be very difficult and my need was not large enough. But it is now.

Months ago I tried to go through all the support pages for the upgrade to IE11 but they did not help, I kept getting "update has no" again and again and again and again.

My question is - is this REALLY necessary for me to upgrade to IE11 to obtain 10 Windows? I wouldn't have spent hours trying to fix IE11 and actually discover it is an unrelated question. I do not understand why I need to improve IE to get 10 win!

Thank you guys.

You can get around get Windows 10 for 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool.

Check the box in the first option to automate the process or select 'to another PC"to create bootable flash media or download an ISO to burn it to a DVD with the drive of Windows Image.  Now you have media to reinstall or need repairs.  But to run the upgrade, it must be opened in Windows 7/8.1, click right installation to run as admin file.

To improve chances disable the upgrade everything at startup:

In Windows 7, type msconfig in the start search box, clear all the options on the tabs Services and start-up, after masking all the Services of Mrs.  Apply and restart.

8.1 Windows, right click on the task bar to open the Task Manager, uncheck everything in the tab startup, Apply, Reboot.

A few weeks, I just change my signature to email hotmail via the menu options, and since then, a big grey box appears on the emails that extends from left to right and is also important. I currently have Adobe CS5.5 Design Standard installed on my work PC (I own my own design and printing company) and now I want to upgrade to Adobe CC 2015. I read on the forums that you can install programs on 2 PC and be able to work on both (but not simultaneously) with 1 business license. Is this possible? I would like to be able to design at work and at home.

Yes, you are allowed to have the software enabled on both machines (you can install on as many as you want) but can have only one of them using the subscription at the same time.

I followed the instructions given on the MS site to upgrade my vista to windows 7.  I answered the questions and MS said that I had to purchase the Professional upgrade from windows 7.  After purchasing, I tried to install it and the upgrade program says that I can't upgrade vista with this version.  Is there a work around for this problem, because I don't want to do a full install.

    Hi JimNorman,

    1. What is the version/edition of windows vista installed on the computer?

    2. How do you try to upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 (via anytime put at level or by using a disk)?

Make sure that you upgrade to the correct version, some versions of Windows cannot be upgraded with the installation disc you are trying to use. For example, you cannot upgrade a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version, or upgrade a higher edition of Windows like Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, to a lower edition, such as Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. If this is the case, you will need to use the custom during installation option.

Before you attempt to upgrade, please run the Windows 7 upgrade Advisor:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor

Also, check if your computer is compatible for Windows 7, using the Compatibility Center:

  • For days now, my iPad Air insisted on the fact that it cannot connect to iTunes. Wifi works fine for applications and devices, and I tried all the options on the support page. Nothing has worked. What should I do?

The time zone is correct, it is signed through "iCloud" in the settings and all the apps work relatively well, including those who are in need of the internet, so the problem is not the internet. However, the Air iPad is more connect to iTunes, it is impossible to update anything. It won't let me reconnect through 'iTunes and App Store' in settings, just tell me that it can't connect to iTunes everytime I try it. I also noticed that Game Center is strange, his page in settings will not be same load and he often delay signing in when I open an application compatible with it. My iOS is updated to 9.3.1. The only thing I can think is that I had to change my password recently, but he had me to login with the new password on the device, and this problem did not show up a few days later. I am at a loss on what to do at this point, and I already tried all suggested fixes Apple support. Are there patches less known who could solve this problem? Or, is this a widespread problem that apple is having this time with their servers?

    Hi TimeSeerStudios

    I don't see the failure:

    https://www.Apple.com/support/SystemStatus/

Have you tried to close all applications and restart force (hold down the sleep/wake and Home buttons and do not let go until the screen darkens and the Apple logo appears)?

  • Satellite A660: After upgrade to Win 8.1 BSOD is displayed using the keyboard

    Dynabook i7 3D laptop A660.

OK; so I updated my i7 3D Dynabook to form 8.1 Windows (x 64) Windows 7 (x 64), and now the laptop restarts everytime I start to touch the keyboard.

    Other wise works perfectly.

It took me two hundred hours to understand that I was typing on web sites usually when this re-boot occurs. And I could not remember how or why the computer restarted.

When I press the numeric keypad 'more' sign, I get the BSoD immediately. But there are a few presses of the numbers on the keyboard so he can do the same thing.

    I.E.
    If I press 1, 2, 3, its ok.
    But
    If I press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, the laptop gets a BSoD and restarts.

I also installed automatic software (mouse) for a Microsoft mouse, that I was going to use. and I deleted in the "System Properties" after the problem has arisen; but there is no change.

Whenever I tap on the number pad (especially the plus sign), the PS stops with a blue screen of death BSoD.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Roger,
My knowledge the 8.1 Windows isn't supported by Satellite A660 because there is no driver Windows 8.1 special to this series of portable, but even if these drivers have not been released, is not a big problem to install and run the Windows 8.1 on this unit.

I m wondering how you installed the 8.1 to win on this laptop?
You upgrade Windows 7 to 8.1 Win or were you running a fresh install of Win 8.1?

Here's a nice page of Microsoft providing some FAQ about update for Windows 8.1
    [Windows 8.1 update: FAQ | http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/upgrade-to-windows-8]

In case you have done an UPGRADE to 8.1 Win, you can use Windows 8.1 Upgrade Assistant to check if your programs and devices are compatible with Windows 8.1.

I would be also interesting to know if the same BSOD would appear if external keyboard would be connected to the laptop.
When using the external keyboard would cause NOT of BSOD, I guess internal keyboard is faulty and could be the troublemaker.

  • Remove the upgrade of Windows 10 as an optional upgrade preselected

I don't want to upgrade to windows 10 and withdrew the notification of upgrade of the taskbar and never asked the upgrade.  Now, he appeared as an optional upgrade screened in windows update and there is no visible way to remove it.  This effectively blocks the security updates without upgrading to windows 10.  How can I get rid of him?

    Hello

What you need to do here first, is to change the way you receive updates. The automatic updates enabled, the operating system will reinstall the nagware guest who is KB3035583 after uninstalling a step we will take in a minute.

    Then follow these steps:

    1. Right-click the icon of the center of the Action on the taskbar and go to "Windows Update".
    2. In the left menu, click on "change settings".
    3. Change automatic updates to "download updates but let me choose whether to install them".
    4. Click "Save Changes", then "Control Panel Home".
    5. Go to "Programs and features" and click on the link "View installed updates".
    6. Copy and paste KB3035583 in the high-field search right and when it appears below, right click and select "Uninstall". It's a great Setup uninstall can last several minutes.
    7. Then restart and then go back to Windows Update again.
    8. Since you now have different parameters of WU, click on the link if there is no waiting for your approval, which will bring you to the menu where you can decide what to install.
    9. If you see KB3035583 in the list, right click and select "hide update". The box you should checkmark to select an update will turn gray and when you exit WU, these files will be sent in the repository called "Restore hidden updates". You can restore the updates that have been hidden there at any time by clicking on the link, make your selection and click "restore".

The next step is to edit a registry that will prevent Windows 10 download and installation.

Press the Windows key + R to start the command run, type: regedit , and then click OK.

    Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--> SOFTWARE--> Microsoft-->--> CurrentVersion--> WindowsUpdate Windows--> AutoUpdate--> OSUpgrade

Click the OSUpgrade key (which looks like a folder), and then in the right pane you should be able to see the four values respectively called:

    AllowOSUpgrade

    KickoffDownload

    KickoffSource

    OSUpgradeInteractive

Part or all of them will have a value of 1. You need to change those to 0 as you see in the screenshot.

To change a registry value, right-click and go to Edit. In the value field below, transform figure 1 0 a

Click OK and Windows will add the 0x00000000 (0) itself.

If it's already a 0 then you don't have to touch it.

In addition, you must create a value. To do this, right-click on an empty part of the right pane, and then choose new DWORD with the name DisableOSUpgrade-->.  Windows will add REG_ DWORD early, after it is created.

If inadvertently, you lose the highlight when you create the new value, right click and select Rename.

Then, right-click of your new value and go to edit. Change the 0 value in a 1 in the value field. Click OK to confirm and exit.

Reboot, then go to Windows updates. You will now be able to install updates 8.1 without being hassled by Windows 10.

  • Don't ' option UPGRADE available after failure ESXi 6.0 on a stand-alone host installation

Dear all, I have a stand-alone host ESXi 5.0 that I tried to install 6.0 on. Installation failed due to missing NIC card r8168 drivers. in any case, I've created a new ISO using ESXi Customizer utility and ready to do it again once the installation of the new ISO standard. The problem now is that there is no 'upgrade' option available when I try to update, I get only the options 'Install' which will eliminate the existing configs etc completely. In summary: the host is still working fine and no problem with it. The issue is that ESXi 6.0 Installer based no existing ESXi installation on the host computer and suggest an installation instead of an upgrade option, what happened after a few failed attempts to run the upgrade. I found this page on this forum https://communities.vmware.com/thread/445526?start=0 & tstart = 0 that says that the solution is to move the directory to a local.tgz (in altbootbank/state.xxxxx/) more high. I don't have any idea how to do this. Appreciate any help on which program use and what commands to run in order to ensure that the old installation is reviewed by the ESXi 6.0 installation program. Thanks, Abid

I managed to PASS my from5.0 host existing 6.0. To solve the problem, I had, I started the ESXi, authenticated and then checked the contents of the directories shell both Bootbank that Altbootbank by using the ls command. Altbootbank was empty. Then I copied all the files from /bootbank to /altbootbank using the cp command and then I could see the 'upgrade' again option for which I had posted this question. Installation was simple using the custom profile that I created using ESXI Customizer. Thanks for your help anyway, I'll close this issue now. Best regards, Abid
