No output HMDI Sound of Satellite L500-1XD

I have a satellite L500 - 1xd

I plugged on HDTV & image is great, but have no sound.
When I checked the user manual it suggested that I go into the Realtek HD Audio Manager and to change the device default to something else, but there is no option that is available to me.

Am I missing something?

    I have a new Toshiba Satellite L500-1XD. I tried to create the support of recovery twice now and both times he failed on the first two discs with the following error;

    Cannot open the following file.
    E:\Boot\BCD
    (Error Code: F1-02013-00000000)

I'm using the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I use standard DVD + R 4.7 GB discs.

    Any help would be useful.

    Thank you.

I recommend you to use media of high quality like verbatim or Tdk. Voyez_ you, it can cause problems with weak brand, drives.

  • Satellite L500-1XD constantly restarts & display recovery blue screen

I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L500-1XD from an Argos store in August. Shortly after that I got it occasionally rebooted itself and displays blue screen of recovery saying that the laptop has recovered from a hardware failure. It has become more common recently and he often stops, displays the blue screen, reboots and done over and over again.

I do not have many new programs on the laptop and that you have installed all updates. I deleted programs I have installed with the exception of Microsoft Office.

Another thing that could be linked so that when the laptop starts, he says the Toshiba Service Station has stopped working and trying to find a solution to the problem.

I'd appreciate any advice on how I might remedy this

    Thank you in anticipation

    Hi katrina_1,

This means that the pre-installed Windows version is still installed, right?

Well, I think that it of difficult to say why it happens it could be a hardware or software malfunction. The two may be possible.
The reasons of the majority of blue screens are drivers or hardware itself are all properly installed devices in Device Manager or do you see yellow exclamation points?

In your case, I'll try to reinstall Windows. Maybe it s only a software problem or driver
Also if you have installed both modules of memory long live, test it with a module only. You can also use Memtest86 or another tool of diagnosis of RAM to test the memory modules RAM for failures.

No indication of battery or something else ideas? The book says something to do with the heat dispersion system

    Hello

You see a BIOS or Toshiba splash screen?
Nothing is visible on the screen?

If this isn't the case, I guess that your laptop developed a serious hardware problem and I think that the parts must be checked by an ASP in your country.
Theoretically, it could be related to memory, processor or motherboard
So first the RAM modules must be verified, and if the RAM modules are ok, then, the technician should follow with processor and motherboard.

    Welcome them

  • First time installation on Satellite L500-1XD was interrupted

I turned on a Satellite L500-1XD for the first time this morning and during the first installation, the current was interrupted. It now takes an age to complete the installation.
    Is this normal?

Is there something I can do?

    Thank you.
    JD

    What to say?
One thing is clear here: power failure while the first installation runs is not normal and should not happen.
So, now, how to tell if this is normal or not when it should not happen at all. Do you believe that none of us in the intention just to see how it works?

Anyway, there is no other choice for you except to wait and hope that everything will be fine.
Unlike the pre-installed recovery image is destroyed and you won't be able to install it at all.

    Please send some feedback soon.

  • Portable satellite L500-1XD stops

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite L500-1XD. last week, a laptop stops completely when charging the battery turns off. I can see battery appears as 100% charged however laptop are not left on without recharge the battery.

I suspect I need to change the battery but would be good to know if anyone else had this experience with L500-1XD.

    Thank you

I think that this model of laptop is not new. Purchased laptop already used?

It is possible that the battery must be exchanged. When you remove it, you will see the Toshiba label with part number. You can use this part number and order a new one.

  • External Usb Audio Card Popping and cracking sound with Satellite L500

    Greetings,

My name is Boyan and I am from Bulgaria, and a year ago, I bought a laptop satellite l500 series (I can't tell which is exactly the model at the moment because my computer is not currently with me and my user manual, the only thing that is said is that it is for L505/L500/L500D / L505D.) But from memory I think it was the Satellite L500D-ST5506 which is currently not at my dispossal, because I gave him for repairs for the same problem that I say down below)

The problem with my laptop, is that when I plug in a Usb Audio card in my laptop I have a crackling sound during live sound is played hollow map external speakers/headphones. I tried several sound cards and speakers/headpohnes which work perfectly well with other computers, including laptops, but the problem continues even when I use an external sound card to connect to the laptop not appearing in my laptop speakers/headphones.

The problem is important only when the signal passes through an external audio card and it is very disruptive since I use my laptop to create music and I bought a sound card expenssive and speakers that can not be used with the laptop. I tried 3 types of sound cards:

    M-Audio Fast Track Pro

    BEHRINGER uca 222

and a simple 3d audio usb audio card external and the problem persists.

At first, I thought that the problem is software and I should install the new drivers, windows 7 automatically recognizes and installs the drivers for the devices and I have its in (but with the cracks and educated) so I tried using the official drivers sold for me with the sound cards, but without success: the problem was still there. I tried to find the new drivers of the sound cards on long official distributors and I downloaded it but the problem was still there. Then I tried to delete all the audio drivers on my computer and just use the external sound card for sound but this eighter helps force. I updated my drivers for my sound card build - in as well but again - no luck.

After substantial thing frist I did when (2 weeks after I bought the laptop) was to contact the store where I bought my audio card and they said that the problem may be so eighter latency or high voltage of the laptop they advised me to try to reduce the latency of the parameters or to try and see if the problem persists if only my laptop running on battery power. I tried two things, and they did not help. Audio cards worked without problems on all the other computers I tried them but me. So they told me that the problem could not be audio cards.

What I then was that I gave my laptop for the Distributor official of toshiba in my country so that they can solve my problem. What they told me, is that a problem with the version of windows which was preinstalled on my laptop and it was not compitable with the sound cards (which was bizzar survey because I tried them on the same windows and they worked, only on other computers). So I'm back from my laptop and passed under my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system to Windows 7 Ultimate edition 64-bit and Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate edition on all versions, that's the problem: whenever I activate a low of passes of audio signal and Audio Usb card he heard cracks and educated. I even tried isntalling Windows XP, but the laptop want spesific SATA drivers for the Windows XP installation which although I found - they helped me install XP and I didn't go the BIOS of the computer to try to put a new and so on, because I'm not sure about that and I could lose my warranty so I said in the official repair shop for Toshiba in my city to put XP on my computer to solve the problem but they can't because they are not liscened to work with software that isn't a recipt for its purchase (which I did not because I bought my windows xp a long time ago and I lost the recipt)

I gave her to get it repaired for the second time by telling them that the change of my operating system has not solved my problem and what they were doing was they changed the motherboard on my computer, indicating that the build in the device realtek audio on my computer is good enough to support a card usb audio or it may be broken and they change the whole motherboard because the generation of card is stuck, so they did it, but my problem has not been resolved. They told me that although I use and map external audio usb signal always going trough my only internal and I have to disable so I tried to disable this trough Control Panel, but this does not solve the problem and I don't have a BIOS option to disable my sound card build-in. Another thing I thought that maybe the problem is that two audio cards do not work on the same bitrate and Hertz so I put both cards to 16 bit 48000 Hz DVD quality (also tried the other options on the 3 cards that I have) but it's the same thing.

They told me that it's just my luck and the construction of the sound card does not support this external sound cards and I would had been more careful when they choose to my laptop first.

I couldn't accept this awnser for several reasons:

    (1) this sound card works on a lower version of windows and are supported by many older models of Realtek and a lot of old computers (one of them bought 2000! and my laptop is of 2010!)

    (2) the guys who were the apperantley of fixing problem don't go so deeply into my problem because they didn't know that in fact the problem was that only they knew that there is a problem with the audio card and the computer interact with them, they knew not that it cracks during the direct play the external audio card.

    (3) I can't accept the fact that Toshiba is manufacturing of models with maps audio chipset that cannot support a simple external Usb Audio card. It is totally unacceptable to me, and I sincerely hope that this is not the case!

    (4) they have tried my audiocards on another laptop of the same series, claiming that they have not at their dispossal at the moment so I'll go tomorrow at a local store and try the sound cards by myself on the same computer in the store.

What I have now, it was that I gave my laptop for repair requesting a statement of the problem in wrtting with details of the problem so I can go to court or ask for a new laptop, but I'll be charged with little money because according to them there is no problem in the laptop and the problem is that my external sound cards are not compitable with the build in house chipset sound card. If I give my laptop for repair, and there is no hardware problem, I'll have to pay the money. I will do this, but I'm now crazy, because that does not solve my problem and I am wasting time and money.

What I ask here is, if you can not help me solve my problem and advice me what to do to fix it, please give me the details of the chipset built in Driver sound card on my motherboard, so I can check if it is compitable with my external sound cards and contact the dealers of the sound card to ask them their opinion. Or if you can tell me what it is compitable with and what not, that would be great. Personally, I think this laptop should have no problem at all with a simple external usb running sound card, but I ask you, if you know something more about it.

If a problem with the build in chipset then Toshiba is manufacturing (or at least sell) audiocards which are not in a normal standart but unfortunately I can not do nothing except complain to Toshiba and never treat whith such productgs more. Otherwise, if this is not true, then my laptop has a problem that is different and I have to go to court with the mans for mounting repair is not my laptop or do not give a new one when I guarantee will not fault of Toshiba and it will be in a way solve my problem.

I hope that you understand how important it is for me and I hope I have fix the problem as soon as possible.

    P.S

I want to say that I am familiar with grammar mistakes, that I did in the text below, and I would ask your excuses that I'm not a native speaker of English.

Hi, I would just say that I had a similar failure although I wouldn't be surprised if she causing of yours, but you never have knowledge, my fault was the lid of my laptop [9 months], it contains the mic and when the lid has been in a certain angle cracks could be heard worse when I got my external sound card all the time it happened, luck, PS, it's a defective membrane [lid to the body] easily missed by engineer because he was the same angle you English is very good

  • Port of charger broken on Satellite L500-1XD

Hi my laptop L500-1XD fell about 6 inches on the carpet, he was in charge at the time, and the charger port seems to be cracked which means that the charger will not stay in and it will not load.

Can you tell me please if it is possible to replace the charger port and if so where I would get it done (and how it is likely to cost)

    Thank you

As far as I know, this port is soldered on the motherboard. You can try to search it on the net or on eBay (I saw some out there), but in my opinion, that this problem should be solved on the professional way so maybe better solution for you is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
They can disassemble your laptop, check for damage and repair.

I think that no one here can say how much it will cost. Ask directly.

  • Satellite L500-1XD - why my screen flashes after fashion watches?

    Hello

After the start from standby mode, the screen is fine for 3 or 4 minutes, and then I notice a fast blink. This becomes worse and worse until I got then to restart the laptop, or put into hibernation and power up again. I tried to gently move the screen to see if the connection is loose, but the screen just keeps blinking like before. The flashing is random, it's like watching the CPU flash light but its my going fullscreen. It seems to happen after the mode 'sleep', it happens every time, but I would say more than 50 percent.

This happened to someone else? I wonder what I should do next, or the contact person. I've only had the laptop in July!

Thank you very much in advance for any advice you can offer.
    Anna

    Hello Anna

Have you noticed this behavior from the first day?
You know, sometimes some Microsoft updates can have a negative influence on the standard functions. For a few months, I noticed a strange situation on my laptop satellite. After sleep, I get a stupid error and mouse is dead. I don't have it in the past.

What you can try is to install the new OS by using the HDD recovery procedure and to test the feature with the factory settings. I am sure that with its own OS preinstalled, everything will be OK. If the problem persists perhaps you should contact the closest service Toshiba.

  • Satellite L500-1XD - why the screen jump when running on batteries?

I recently bought my L500 and it works very well when it is connected to the electric network, but when I running on battery the screen jumps and flickers.
I was told to look at the BIOS but that seems fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Kate

    Jumps and flickers?
The same happens when you use different power management?

  • Satellite L500-1XD - impossible to find an update for PC monitor

This TBS advises updates PC health monitor and alert HDD/SDD.

HDD/SDD alert has a published in the relevant downloads section updated, but I can't find an update for PC monitor.

    Anyone have any bright ideas?

Otherwise, this seems quite a balanced system.

    > HDD/SDD alert is an update published in the relevant downloads section, but I can't find an update for PC monitor

If you could not find it on the page of the driver, it means is not yet available. I don't know why you were asked to update it but if PC health monitor works well don't need to update. I don't think that you will find something more in the new version :)

  • Satellite L500-1XD does not load

Laptop won t cool. With fully charged battery & no power laptop power starts without any problem.

When I plug the charger cable the DC in and the battery light (on the front of the laptop) and plugged in and charging is displayed on the screen.
Battery light and indication on the screen turns off, then back on battery only however dc in the indicator shows yet. Laptop works normally until the battery is flat.

Charger and battery have been checked and are fine.

    > Charger and battery have been checked and are fine.

You use the latest version of the BIOS? Otherwise, update the BIOS

But to be honest, the whole story seems really strange, and in my opinion there is not many options or likely to be affected parts

I think it might be linked to the motherboard maybe electronic power supply problem.
In my opinion just a technician can help you

  • Satellite L500-1XD does not illuminate

I have used my laptop for 2 weeks and now when I try to turn it on there is no sign of life other than the power to the front lights when plugged. It is not only a problem of screen - there is no humming noise or anything when I try to turn it on, I just get nothing.

    So far I have tried:

    Power off
Modification of the power supply and the battery of the same computer of my father.
Remove all RAM, two sticks one at a time, repeat the cycle of power and trying to turn it on.
Disconnect the DVD player and lighting.

    None of them worked.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Hello

    > Removing each of RAM, two sticks one at a time, repeat the cycle of power and trying to turn it on.

What you might try to power the device using the RAM modules that are used in identical s Dad for laptop.
In case this is not enough, I guess that some sort of dysfunction of the motherboard could be the reason why the laptop cannot be turned on.

    How to solve this problem?
I guess you don't have a lot of options; the defective part must be replaced. But I think it's a question of costs

The interface using HDMI output that I have no problem to connect to any TV.
The fact is that when I use the VGA output with the laptop on the side, on TV I get color similar to a letter setting the vertical stripes...

I leave here a picture of what appears to connect the VGA output of my laptop to a TV:

    http://s2.subirimagenes.com/Otros/previo/thump_8005040zqicw.jpg

tried another laptop to my TV and looks great...
    then...
I'm missing a few driver... don't you think?
Why is my HDMI works perfectly, but my VGA display colored vertical lines?...
    Not to do...
It's hopeless... I need the VGA output of my computer toshiba laptop l500 to work.

    Greetings from the Spain.

Question may be stupid at first but why do you need VGA connection if HDMI works perfectly? I mean using HDMI you will have better photo quality and also sound is transferred to television.
Using VGA video signal will be sent to the TV.

In any case, I put t know which driver you are using. What is your laptop pre-installed with original OS that you got with your laptop?
Do you use the only TV option when this happens?

When I plug a headphone or audio output in the audio output port, it does not neutralize the internal Laptop speakers.
It's really annoying me and I wonder if there is a way around this?

I have windows 7 Home premium 64-bit sp1 with all the latest patches to update, and I tried to remove, restart and then reinstalling the driver several times without success
I also got the image of the plant cell to try to fix that and its still nto work.

I downloaded the drivers from the toshiba support site, but they did not help

    Hello

Is this something new or you have noticed this problem in the past too?
Generally by default the internal speakers should be turned off when you connect earphones.

I put t know what laptop do you have exactly (model number you wrote may not be the right) and what sound card is inside, but please check the audio options in the Panel.
