  Hi all

  I have a HP Photosmart D110 series. Can I use scanner, printer and copier properly before, but I don't know why I can't use the scanner today. "" Whenever I clicked or typed on the "Scan" function it displays a message: "no scanner detected" on the monitor or the "wireless not connected" on D110 screen! To my knowledge, there are good connection between the D110 with the computer and I always surf the web as normal without problem.

  I have the same HP Photosmart printer and had the same problem in the past with the functionality of the scanner.
  I suggest you uninstall the printer, download all the current drivers on the HP site.
  Reinstall the printer. I had to do several times because the scanner function is buggy.

  Looking for advice please... My nan recently had Vista Security 2012 on his cell phone, which has been deleted... But its made me paranoid.

  I have Microsoft Security Essentials on mine, all of this to this day and I do 3/4 analyses fast and 1 full scan weekly. I downloaded Microsoft Safety Scanner yesterday but wonder if that would detect Vista Security 2012.

  Microsoft safety scanner uses the same definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials. You get a lot to run both. If you want a second opinion, use something like the free MalwareBytes anti-malware or SUPERAntiSpyware

  For the really paranoid, you can run a scan offline without booting Windows. It must defeat malware that hides itself using a rootkit.

• Installation of the USB - no scanner detected by the software

  I bought Microtec USB scanner ScanMaker6100 but cannot begin to work with it:)

  Recognize the scanner as a Plug & Play device my PC and install it but the software can't find it.

  I had send my PC profile to support of Microtec and they suggest the following:

  My USB controllers in Device Manager are installed like:
  Standard enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
  Standard openHCD USB host controller
  In devices, I see they are ATI SB200 - USB Controller and ATI SB200 - USB 2.0 Controller.

  I really should reinstall / update my USB driver? How? Where can I get these drivers?

  I don't think you need to install or update the USB drivers. If the scanner is properly installed and recognized there must be another problem. In my opinion, you should try to use the scanner with another program. As far as I know, you can also use Microsoft word and try to import image from a scanner. If Office is installed on your device, try to import something in the word document.

• HP Officejet Pro 8600 Ethernet Windows XP 64bits: printer works, can work scanner?

  I know that XP 64 bit SP2 is not officially supported for this printer, but well... I bought so I want it to work

  It is connected by Ethernet to my router.

  • The printer works when installed "manually" (via the Add a printer function)
  • The scanner works when connected by USB, it has detected correctly, both WIA and Twain drivers are installed.

  But I don't know how to get the Analyzer has detected when the device is connected by Ethernet. I tried to change the port of the USB scanner detected, no way. I tried to install it manually via the function Add scan , no way (with 32-bit XP or, for that matter). I have a laptop with XP 32 bit, everything went very well with the supplied software. I need connected to Ethernet and no USB, and I feel like I'm so close to solution... An idea for help? Thank you!

  There is no software available for Windows XP 64-bit, so any client software solution will not apply.

  Try using the native functionality of the printer such as the Webcsan function.

  Follow the steps in how to scan from the (network only) embedded Web server below:

  The option can be disabled by default, if so open the settings tab, select the administrator settings, check the Webscan and save the changes.

  So, you can share a folder on your PC network.

  First share a folder within your operating system and find the network path. then follow how to scan directly to a network (network connections only) folder > second step: set up the scan to network folder > allows you to configure the integrated webserver (EWS).

  Since your original post, it sounds like your system is infected and your resident protection, nor the Microsoft Safety Scanner detected no threat, I would suggest running two programs below.

  Both have free versions that are excellent for on-demand scans; and since the free versions are not time running full real-time protection, nor will conflict with your current protection in real time. Be sure to update completely before analysis.

  Hello - when I try to scan to my computer I get an error message that says: "Error Scan - scan try PC" then I tried to scan my PC using Windows Fax and Scan and the error message says "no scanner detected." • Cannot scan with cnw 1355 Dell MFP.

  I have IT supported by a University.  We have recently updated on new computers and now I am not able to scan from the printer.  Here is some info on the computers of OLD & NEW:

  • On both old & new computers we use Win7 64 bit.
  • The printer is a Dell 1355cnw multifunction printer.
  • I have not moved or made ANY changes to the printer itself.
  • The printer is configured via the network using the TCP/IP protocol.  It's the same way, it has been installing on older computers.
  • I checked that all printers, fax & scan drivers are up-to-date by using the Dell Web site.
  • I also checked the printer firmware is updated using the Dell Web site

  On the old machines, I installed the printer & scanner software (PaperPort 12) from the CD supplied with the printer.  I installed on new computers, using the same CD; still I have problems my 1355 Dell MFP color to analyze. It is connected to a network and I can print fine, but when I try to scan (from the center of digitization of Dell or PaperPort 12), it tells me that the device is not there.

  • I get the exact error message is: ' no scanner detected. "  The scanner power is off, the cable is not correctly connected, or address IP settings are correctly entered. »

  I checked EVERYTHING from the old computer to the new & settings are identical.  Yet I still can't scan from the new computer (although I CAN scan from the old computer).

  I also checked all the settings (via the printer web interface) to check that I didn't have to give 'special' privileges for old computers to enable analysis.

  FYI - If I plug the printer via the USB port, I AM able to scan.  But this solution does not work as I have many users who need to be able to print & scan from this machine.

  Any help you can give me would be really appreciated!

  I am using this printer to scan the network for more than a year; That was the reason we bought this printer.  When we moved from our computers, it stopped working.

  I finally got to work with a right click on the Installer (on the CD supplied with the printer) & running the Compatibility Wizard WIndows 7.  It installed with the settings in Windows XP Service Pack 2... VOILA!  EVERYTHING IS NOW SCANNING VIA NETWORK & WORKS WELL AGAIN!

  However, it is important to note that I don't use WiFi.  I use the LAN.
