I have an ASUS G75VW, when I connect the HDMI to my TV, I get only audio through my computer laptop speakers or headphones, while it is plugged.  In addition, the TV picture is only 480 p.  When I check the sound icon, it shows that the HDMI port is "not connected" even though it is.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver on both the NVIDIA site and the site of ASUS.  Same question.  Help, please!

    Hello

Make sure that it has the TV volume.

You can also make sure that the connections are appropriate. Try to connect to another HDMI port as well.

Refer to the section: "Check if the cables are connected correctly" and set the HDMI audio device as the default value.

    Hello:

In the section of sound from the Control Panel, when you click on manage Audio devices, you see two choices?

You should.  You should see your integrated audio system (Soundmax) and your HDMI (which should be your AMD HD Audio device).

You must have this current option in order to have your HDMI audio to work.

If it is not present, I recommend you to only visit the Web of AMD site to download and install the latest drivers and the catalyst control center. This package should include the HDMI audio.

Use the drop down menu to choose the drivers you need:

  • No sound from laptop speaker

I have Dell inspiron N4010 what me about his problem. No sound from internal speakers of my laptop, but during the test (by pressing F12 during startup Dell diagnostics enable) sounds from the speakers correctly in hardware test. Its also in the headphones, not any problem with headphones properly.
I have try it with various media players but the problem is to stay. Pilot about audio update.

You may be better to ask a Dell forum, as - http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3517.aspx

Apart from the obvious controls make sure that the speakers are not dumb, so click the "speaker" icon.

And verification of the sound card is listed and apparently activated and works in Device Manager.

  • No sound from the headset when using hdmi

I use the HDMI for a big screen, but with this use, the headphone is turned off. I need to be able to use the HDMI for the monitor and the headphone jack for sound.

If you have no sound with the plug HDMI is connected, it means that your current sound settings are set for audio must be set to the HDMI output. Go to sound settings and pass parameters of HDMI output for speakers.

Open Sound by clicking on the Start button, and then click Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound

In the Audio window, select the playback tab
Replace the default value with the green mark check speakers with HDMI connected.

I checked the card its an all and them seem to no errors.

Sound bar at the bottom right to move as it should when I play music, but it just doesn't come out of the speakers.
However, it does work with headphones.

Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

    Hello

Hmm. You can hear the sound using headphones but you can't hear speakers that well it looks really a speaker problem, but it s really strange that both speakers are dead at the same time

In your case I would remove the sound card driver and would update with that of the European driver Toshiba page.
Check what's happening after the update

  • No sound from laptop

I have a new HP ENVY TS 17 Notebook PC.  Has no sound after installing Windows 8.1.   There is a diagnostic wizard HP, asking if I want to turn off the sound, but I don't think I should do.  Help, please.

    Hello

    Second entry is fine

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8.1

After reinstalling, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • Problems with HDMI Port 3/4 on Toshiba 46xv733

    HY everybody,

When I try to connect a device (PC, Xbox, or PS4) HDMI1 or HDMI2 (where everything is fine) for HDMI3 or HDMI4 I can't make them work properly. Resolution passes something a cable not only 30 Hz. When I try to change the resolution (on PC) the photo does not match the screen (for large or too small).

I searched throu the documentation and the Web but can't find info HDMI3/HDMI4 are different from HDMI1/HDMI2.

    The TV is Toshiba 46xv733.

Any suggestion on how to solve this problem would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

In [User Guide | http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/XV733-32374046-English.pdf] you can find some information that certain HDMI devices at the beginning may not work properly with your latest HDMI TV due to the adaptation of a new standard.

In this case you must unplug your HDMI cable first, and then try the two options settings. INSTAPORT content type and turn off.
You start HDMI source should work with your TV.

The HDMI 3 seems to be a little different from the HDMI 1 and 2.
3 HDMI supports digital and analog sound.
    HDMI 1 / 2 / 4 supports digital audio ONLY.

The HDMI 3 must be used in order to receive sound from a PC connected (via HDMI to DVI cable).

  • Audio bed from laptop instead of headset

my laptop will not play out of headphones when I hook them up is says "you just plug a device into the audio." but he plays sounds from laptop please help me

A Realtek audio driver 6.0.1.6788 A03 version is bug - fails headphone sense plugged into the outlet after a reboot. The previous version works very well, Realtek 6.0.1.6690

    This affects these Inspiron models: 15 3521, 5521, 17 3721 15R, 17R 5721 and also the Vostro 2521

To install the older driver first remove the current one. Open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the Windows search box), and then expand "audio, video and game controllers".

Right-click on "Realtek High Definition Audio", and then select uninstall. Put a checkmark in the option to delete files, click ok. When you restart, Windows will install its own native driver or another driver Realtek if there were other versions on the hard drive. Then go back to Device Manager and look for a Realtek driver. Keep the uninstall & reboot until Realtek no longer appears under controllers of noise. When you see "High definition Audio Device" (the native driver of Windows) instead of "Realtek High Definition Audio", download and install the older driver from Realtek 6.0.1.6690.

  • No sound on laptop HP G6

It happened a few times before and I restarted the PC and he returned, but today I can't get no noise even after reboot.  I checked the sound levels and there are no dumb message appearing or any message of error.

If you can offer any advice that would be great.

I don't know if it's relevant, but there are a few months, there is a problem that when I plug the headset is not turned off the sound from laptop speaker.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document in question on the link below.

  • No sound from the tv with hdmi w3 connection

I have a standard micro HDMI to connect my w3 to tv.  When a movie plays on the w3, I can see the video on the Tablet and the tv, but only the Tablet has its.  Is this normal?   I checked that the tv properly with other hdmi sources works but have no way to test the brand new microphone cable or w3 drivers.

I was unable to locate a compatible driver on intel.com.

However, I tried the w3 with a different TV and everything worked as expected: even with only a 'driver' Intel ESS Audio Device (WDM) available.  Passage of the tablet on television was automatic.  I did plug in and turn on the tablet in front of the TV and everything worked.

I tried the same procedure with the original tv and the results were good video but no sound from the TV.  The sound remained with the tablet.

I hae 2 TVs and 2 blueray players.  I swapped every combination of TV and player and everything works well.  Since the Tablet works well with at least one TV, the hdmi cable is ok.  My conclusion is that the current configuration of the Tablet works with some TVs and others not, and until I can find a better driver I'll just have to live with it.  I wanted to be able to watch videos with the Tablet when I traveled and will just have to wait until I get whenever I go to see if it works.  Not very desirable but it's like that.

Thanks for your suggestions and help.

    Problem solved (sorta).

  • Satellite A300-1OM - no sound on TV with HDMI

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 1OM and also a HD in Toshiba TV with HDMI input ports.

I recently bought a HDMI cable to HDMI and attached the laptop to the tv and turned the TV to HDMI channel, and the cell phone confirmed making the sound "new device attached".

However, when I try to use the Fn + F5 and output to the tv, nothing happens. When I choose to use the TV as an external monitor to the tv shows the external display, but only covers the center of the TV, just a little larger than my screen laptop, instead of the full screen, as I had hoped. The sound also remained on the laptop instead of my tv speakers.

Then I tried the "HDMI output" software that came with the laptop computer, and only got the message "it is only effective when the PC is connected to a TV set that supports HDMI control via the HDMI cable.

Finally, I tried the graphics options to click with the right button on the desktop and choosing to watch out, and then using the graphic properties that I managed to increase the resolution on TV, until he was almost the entire screen, but not entirely and again the sound only came out of the laptop.

I'm hoping to be able to watch video files from my laptop HD, but it seems that the video output on my TV is always one notebook quality rather than the HD as I had hoped... I tried to watch "Lost.S05E11.720p.HDTV.x 264 - CTU.mkv" once I have wouldn't finally gone out my laptop to HD TV to a nearly full screen size, but does not recognize the difference between the video on TV and laptop.

Can anyone help? I have read several other similar posts, I checked the BIOS and is enabled in the HDMI display section, but still could not resolve my problem.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    > I hope to be able to watch my laptop HD video files, but it seems that the video output on my TV is always only quality rather than HD specification
    > does not recognize the difference between the video on TV and laptop.

Do you know what that means HD quality?
HD TV supports a maximum resolution of 1280 × 720 px and full HD means that the TV would be able to show HD movies using the resolution of 1920 × 1080.
    A simple old TV supports a resolution of 768 x 576.

Each screen of the laptop is able to show HD videos in HD quality because the screen supports the same or greater resolution!
So you will not notice any difference on laptop or HD TV HD quality video game!

In addition the sound does not come through the speakers of the TV because you didn t, choose the HDMI port as the default audio output (device).

Check this step by step instruction:
    Click Start
    Parameters
    Control Panel
    Material and audio
    Audio/digital output device (HDMI)
    Click the set as default
