No sound from monitor mounted speakers.

I have an old monitor (AOpen f1513) that I connected to my computer Dell (Optiplex sx280). There is no sound from the speakers. I checked the cables and they are all tight, and made sure the volume was enough on the monitor and in my audio devices in the control panel. I also checked the display in the Panel, and he said it was a standard monitor by default and was working properly. I thought when I hooked up and rebooted, it my system detects new hardware and locate and install any additional software to make it work properly. I can only find two cables on the monitor. One is the cable, and the other is the main cable with und on that blue that plugs in the back of the computer. The only other place for a socket is the socket for headphones. trying to find a manual online, but was just getting tossed around. Please send help, signed desperately dull.

Hi Jjdaso48,

You must have a connection to speakers in the monitor connecting the sound card to work. You must have an audio input of your monitor speaker port and must be connected via an audio cable to the sound card on your computer.

Since you are unable to find the connection, I would say to contact Aopen technical support to check the connection and find the port to connect in the monitor for built-in speakers.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and best regards,

  • Satellite Pro L20 - no sound from the front speakers

I just bought the laptop L20. Everything works fine apart from the front speakers. I don't get all the sounds on their part. Sound works very well since the head phone jack. I ran that the Toshiba diagnostic test and has not made all the sounds either. In the volume control window each volume slider is up and the Mute check boxes are checked. The obvious problem only in the window volume control which is the "PC Speaker" section is grayed out and cannot be selected. I installed the latest version of BIOS and drivers audio Toshiba Web site but not joy. Am I missing something obvious here? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

If the sound works fine through headphones so I guess we're all ok with the onboard sound.
There may be a malfunction of the speaker. If the laptop is under warranty all replacements are performed free of charge.
The speakers are not very expensive and you should ask the service to help him.

  • No sound from my stereo speakers to monitor. I checked the settings and volume?

Checked audio devices in my dashboard as well as volume.  Can not get sound

If your monitor driver CD is included with your monitor, then use the CD and install the drivers for the monitor speaker. If you have already done this than trying to update the driver and make sure that you use correct driver for your monitor as well as the President. Or check your sound card driver.

  • U2312HM, no sound from monitor

I just bought and set up a new Dell monitor but the sound does not work.  I have downloaded the driver on the site of the monitor.  How to make the noise at work?  In my menu on the monitor, power save audio is not lit, so I think I'm missing something.

The U2312HM internal speakers don't has no all audio RCA output jacks. But there is no mounting brackets for a bar of external sound that then connects to your computer audio output jack.

  • No sound from headphones, internal speakers but continue to make sound

I use a HP with Windows Vista Premium. My computer quite aware that my headphones are connected, will play the "ding" sound through the headset when I run the test, and many of the sounds of Windows Basic (for example, the volume control) work with the helmet. However all other sounds (such as music, internet, games, etc.) do not play in my headset but my speakers instead. I tried the solutions found on the forums, but ultimately neither my headphones or the speaker worked so I tried a system restore, and Im back where I started, speakers are working but headphones don't while headphones are connected. How can I fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Hi AMcKeown

Thank you for visiting the Vista Forum.

Are these USB headset or headphone jack analog standard?

Are plug you into the headphone to the front of the computer or the rear (according to the model of CV, you have, it can be taken helmet two, one in front and one in back)-If you have one in the front and you use that one, the cable that goes from this Jack to the Audio card can be loosened.  Please consult your manual or the owner with HP support assistance on verification of this cable.

If it is a set of USB headset, make sure that the drivers are installed and up-to-date and compatible with Microsoft Vista.

  • No sound from headphones and speakers.

Original title: map its maybe broken

Recently after taking my laptop on a short trip, I put to the top and turned on to find that the sound wasn't working. The speaker symbol had an x close to her and says that no devices were installed. After some messing around, I reinstalled the sound drivers, and now the speaker symbol is back to normal, but acknowledges that my monitor (not my headphones and portable speakers). Because my monitor has no speakers, this does not work for me. I've been trying my brain, tried everything, but nothing seems to work (helmet, not wearing a helmet, reinstall the drivers, active services), and I wonder if this means that my sound card is broken. I had problems with it in the past.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing.

What is the brand and model of the computer sound card?

Sound problems can be caused by cables that are not connected properly, damaged drivers, incompatible drivers, sound settings, missing updates and problems with your sound card.

You can follow the steps in the Microsoft KB article and check if it solves the problem:

  • No sound from the rear speakers 5.1 surround

original title: 5.1 surround sound does not work properly on windows 7.

5.1 Klipsch surround sound does not work with windows 7.  WM player and library itunes only play on two rear speakers.  System works fine on excerpts from concerts to youtube.  Worked well previously on XP.  Have seen a lot of forums with people having the same problem but no solution.  Anyone? Thank you.

    Hi K Johnston,

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

I understand from the description of the issue that you are having problems with setting up 5.1 surround sound speakers. Let me know if this isn't the issue.

    (1) have you tried setting your speakers upwards through the speaker configuration window?

Method 1: If this isn't the case, I suggest the steps to configure your speakers and check if you are able to select the surround speakers in the speaker configuration window.
    Set up your speakers
To set up your speakers for the best sound, follow these steps:

    (a) Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking sound.
    (b) click on the playback tab, select speakers, and then click Configure.
    (c) under Audio channels, select which speakers are present in your speaker configuration, and then click Test. You should hear a tone play in each speaker. Click next and follow the instructions to continue the Setup process.

Method 2: If you have no option to select the option of surround speakers in the speaker configuration window, then it seems that you don't have compatible drivers for surround speakers set up on the Windows 7 computer. So, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer to obtain compatible drivers for the surround speakers.

I hope it helps. If you have problems in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.

  • Qosmio PX30T - no sound from speakers

I just replaced a failing on my PX30T HARD drive and now I get no sound from the internal speakers. I used the media restore and also put all the patches and windows 8.1. Still no sound from the speakers, but the headphones work well.

As a last resort, I started with an image of Ubuntu USB and also no sound. I think I might have loosened a wire when replacing the HARD drive, but I don't see how because there are no other wires in the region. Ideas?

If the headset work correctly, the audio driver must be already installed and I don't think that a parameter must be checked and changed.

    Reach:
    Control Panel? sound? Recovery tab
Here, you should see the speakers and speakers must be marked as default device.

Make and check if the sound seems once again

  • Sound from internal speakers past (iMac 21.5 mid-2011, Yosemite 10.10.5)

Last week, exactly after I unplugged my headphones, the sound from the internal speakers went and I don't understand how to solve this problem, please help.

Sound still works when I connect my headset (or other device) to the audio output.

Sound still works when I connect to my USB external sound card.

Internal speakers still work (I can hear the start-up tone when I turn on the machine).

In preferences / system I see "Digital output" instead of "internal speaker".

    Volume buttons do not work,

    Audio output leddoes not light.

    I tried:

    -Reset the PRAM,

    -SMC reset,

    -' sudo killall coreaudiod ".

    -repair disk permission

    Plug and remove the headphones.

  • B120, no sound from speakers, headphones ok.

Got a B120 with XP and SP2 re-installed.  I have no sound from the internal speakers, but the headphone jack works fine.  The speakers work (checked with Dell Diagnostics); played well from there, every time.  Side note - Ubuntu 8.04 live no longer had his No.

Sometimes I get a notification of the popup of Sigmatel (something about and audio event this - as I plug something at one of the outlets when I did not.)  I usually just select 'status quo '.

I've scoured the forums and read posts on installing drivers in the correct order.  I tried to uninstall the drivers and related software files so I could continue on their relocation in order.  But, what is happening on the re-start, is that it starts automatically install hardware "found," so I don't get to put them in the order I want. How could avoid this or how do I UN-install/reinstall drivers more effectively.

When I look in the hardware Manager, everyting seems to be good... except that I get no sound from the speakers.  Sigmatel hardware is selected, sliders are at midway up, nothing is muted, select a system of his event and he seems to play but without sound.

Any help would be appreciated.  Just half a hair to pull to the left. : smileysurprised:
