No sound on DC7700p suite pitfalls of XP on reformatted hard drive

I have mistakenly reformatted my hard drive after several error messages probably caused by too many software conflicts after years download various programs, deleting etc.

My DC7700p is up and running fine, faster that previously, however I have no sound. I tried to download HP recommendations, Realtek etc nothing helps, I also tried Microsoft Fixit. I think it could be a driver problem.

Someone at - it ideas?

Start with Microsoft UAA. Follow the order of uninstallation and put it back in place, as indicated in the link of the web document.

Best regards

ERICO

  • Portégé R700 - 14L - no HDMI sound after reformat HARD drive

I reformatted the HD just on my Portege R700 and sound via the HDMI TV (Toshiba TV) connection stopped working - through cable. Although the Control Panel indicates the TV speaker is the audio device by default, when you connect, no sound no fate through when I use the sound test or I play any MP4 file.

Could someone help me on how I should fix this?

    Thx a lot

    Hello

First, I would try to update the audio driver.
Usually the audio page of the European driver Toshiba driver should work to find, but the most recent driver is downloadable always on the chip manufacturer page
The sound chip is Realtek to try the driver for the HD directly from pages Realtek audio Manager.

You must uninstall it before you install the new audio driver, one installed
After installation, do not forget that the digital output was chosen as default device
In Control Panel-> sound-> reading tab, you can do this

  • Satellite L755: What is the sound plinking from my HARD drive?

I just bought the L755 and had only 3 days. It has a weird plinking from the HD. There isn't any rhythm to it, it's very random. Any ideas?

    Hello

One of my friends has a laptop and the HARD drive makes a similar sound at any time.
It s not always, but it happens sometimes, I guess the HARD drive head that moves in the economy position could make such sound.

As far as I know the HARD drive works fine, but I would still recommend to back up data in case something goes wrong with the HARD drive

  • does a tightening of internal hard drive disassembly SDcard running source sounds?

    Hi all

My hard drive is dead and to decide what to do next, I wonder if there are other deaths soon on my iMac Mid 2010.

I am now using a sd card to the BONE and removed the wrong drive, I hear still crunches every 2 to 5 seconds. There is no other drive connected. I am sure that is not the fan because the sounds are irregular and as chrrch, chrrch.

A tightening of the unmounted internal drive does It can be something else? The noise seems to come from the middle of the mac. can I test it somehow?

I´d be thankful for related experiments!

could be a fan inside which is broken

  • MacBookPro 13 "hard drive, click sound

    Hello

I use MacBookPro 13 "middle of model year 2012. Yesterday, it fell about 1' height. After this fall, that I often "pinging" from the hard drive. I searched on google and found that this is due to the activation of sudden motion Sensor (SMS). This is a safety feature.

But the sound is irritating. I showed it to the Apple Service centre. They did an MRI and told me that all the hardware parts are 'OK '. They did not have a solution for this. How can I stop that noise now and always keep the sensor activated

Any help in this matter would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Ritesh

I have the same PBM. I recently made a Crucial memory OCZ Trion 150-series SSD and 16 GB upgrade.

Best thing I've ever done to this PBM, certainly.

Cost me about $115 with parts purchased from Amazon.com

I know this is off topic, but you should really consider a SSD upgrade. It will solve many of your problems.

And your computing experience will be a pleasure and not pain.

Your MBP will happen much, much better as a comparison of day and night.

  • Satellite L350-170 - sounds of clanking from the HARD drive

My laptop Satellite L350-170 performs a kind of rattling noise when the hard drive light flashes.
Is this normal because this is a replacement one but that I had did not all sounds.

    Hello

It is very difficult to say why this noise appears.
I have two laptops. On a laptop, the HARD drive clicks and creates its strange but 4 years it worked correctly.
The other HDD doesn t create sounds

So, as you can see not really easy to tell what could cause this noise of rattle, but I recommend creating a file backup.
In the worst cases could die your HARD drive and as a result, a backup is always recommended.

You said that the HARD drive has been changed so maybe you should ask ASP for more details and maybe this HARD drive will be replaced again.

  • Hard drive satellite A80 + weird sounds

    When running my hard drive
    is a weird noise
It is not like the sound of the wind, but it's like something Daniel inside the hard drive.
It does not affect my operating system or performance... for now
but I don't know about the future...
    Anyone know what happened?

    Hello

As Miro said you must be careful and you should make a backup of you important and necessary files. Sooner or later, the hard drive may die. You know the head crash.
But sometimes, the HARD drive makes noises if it works and that these sounds are normal for the use of the HARD drive. But as we said, be careful.

  • Re: Click on Satellite A300 - noisy HARD drive - strange of sound while booting

    Hi all

I'm new and I would try to solve some problems with my new laptop * SATELLITE A300-1MZ * (with Vista) and * its hard disk * (a MHZ250BH of Fj-simens).

I noticed that he is very mechanical in the normal conditions of use, in fact, when I turn on my computer, I hear a clear rattling and his mechanic from the HDD at different times also when there should be no disk activity.
    * Particularlly every 3-5 seconds * I hear a very strange noise as a small but very distinguible mechanic "CLAC" (is not refer to number of cycle ordefrag or indexing workload). Ditto on my ubuntu LINUX distro.
    However the phone never crashes

_It first start Appareed and it's very noise_.
I would ask if this is normal... It appeared regardless of the AC or battery power source.

I just make a SMART software which is no problem, but I'm very worried about this problem.
By phone, I just say all this to the center of Toshiba in my country, but for them all right. The laptop works ok.

Not to mention that I found that * HDD * becomes * hot * also if there are no programs or processes that use it.
He begins to 29a ° - 31Â ° and it gets hot with normal use (35 ° - 36Â ° after finished booting and after 30-40 min temperature is become more warm-42a ° - 46Â °, when its average temperature is ° - 48Â ° 46a - imagine if I turn for example a virus scan or a very hot video coding software-It to become: 50a ° - 55Â °.) (I try always not to overcome this final temperature). What is the maximum?

    * I hope you can give me an explanation to the problem.*
    * I ask if this is a problem common to other A300 owners.*

For my personal reflection, that noise, it is very distinguible for a cooler quiet fan system (infact my dual core is 43a ° with normal use)
Infact I would like to find a system to enable more cool fan (I have just seen in the bios and utilities from Toshiba but found nothing to that effect)

Finally, I would like to know if the * battery time * 1h30mins (with the symmetric mode) is acceptable for a new laptop (with save mode is 1h40mins max).
    * I hope your support and I apologize for my language school *.

    Thanks y'alls.

    Hello

I think that it s nothing wrong with your HARD drive.
I have two cell phones and a PS3 at home.
The HARD drive in a laptop made similar clicking sound. In addition, I noticed the same sound in the PS3. Since the upgrade to 500GB drive HARD makes the similar sound as the HARD drive in my notebook.
I think that it s nothing wrong with the HARD drive and eventually it s nothing serious.

    > Finally, I would like to know if the battery of 1h30mins (with the symmetric mode) is acceptable for a new laptop (with save mode is 1h40mins max).
Battery working time depends on the use of the laptop.
The battery lasts a shorter time when to implement applications performance on the laptop. Also if the brightness of the display is set to the highest level, the battery needed to dump a lot more quickly.
So I think 1.30 min is OK for the laptop. Of course, you can buy a stronger battery in order to use the laptop longer with battery power.

  • No sound on my Satellite after replacing HARD drive.

I recently got a new hard drive on my PC, but there is now no sound system in the computer.
I guess I need to install drivers? What drivers do I need and how to install? Thank you.

    Hello

You really think that someone will be able to post a useful answer without knowing details of your laptop model and the installed windows operating system?

I can tell you a standard procedure.
After having changed and replaced the HARD drive, take the Toshiba Recovery disc and install the system using this disc.
All the drivers and tools are preinstalled on this OS, and by using the recovery disk, you should get the sound on your laptop.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L350 - Crackle sound after replacing HARD drive

    Hello

Have you installed the OS of the window using the Toshiba Recovery disk or have you installed a clean Windows operating system using Microsoft disk?

I advise to use the Toshiba Recovery disk to install the operating system once more.
In addition, the sound chip is Realtek so I think you also need to choose the audio driver from the Realtek page.
Here you will always find the most recent driver for the chip.

  • Help to new primary hard drive sounds: HP Pavilion 6620f PC

I'm a non-technical guy who just replaced the main OEM 1 TB drive with a VelociRaptor 300 GB 10000 RPM hard drive. The installation went well, thanks to the fantastic instructions of the manual of HP and it works fine. Hard Disk Sentinel (free version) tells me that his condition is "perfect."

    Here's my question:

    • the new drive is intermittent but constant and subtle sounds and I don't remember hear them before.
    • Is there a problem or is it only a function of another type of hard drive?

For any help or suggestion accepted with gratitude! I hope that I worry about anything, but do not have the technical expertise or experience to know!

    Thank you

    Linda

    Hi Linda,.

Hard disks have different acoustic characteristics according to the manufacturers (and in overall models from the same manufacturer).  In addition, you went with a 1 TB of HARD drive that probably have a rotational speed of 5400 RPM on a faster drive.  If you are hearing just weak 'rattling', I think it's perfectly normal and given the utility disk HARD sees no problem with the drive, I would say that everything is fine.

I recently installed a new hard drive for windows XP and I installed all the updates of windows updates. I plugged in an Altec speaker system exactly as I did before, but I can't not all sounds.

When I click on "Sounds and Audio devices" in the Control Panel, I see "No Audio device".

I tried all the troubleshooting options. I think I need to download new audio drivers, but I can't figure out how to do this.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

There could be a possibility that you may still need to download additional software.

Perhaps, your motherboard has audio drivers available at their homesite or perhaps your sound card as well.

However, if you have a brand system / pc, and then click on his homesite and look for the model number for the available downloads and updates.
