No sound on Satellite S2750

I have no sound on my s satellite 2750 and don't know how to get it back, I have a pci card, but don't know how to use it, I have windows 98 SE.
Its not on mute.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but I don t understand. What card PCI do you have?
Did you mean PCMCIA card or what? This is a sound card?

However, I would first check the status of the sound card in Device Manager.
There you can check if the audio driver has been installed correctly or not.
If this isn't the case, then try reinstalling the audio driver.

But if the audio driver has been correctly installed, then you should check all the controls sound in audio and audio devices.

But first, you should check the Ant on the side of the laptop volume control. I know it of a very sappy, but trust me; many users write about the problems of sound, but don't check t the volume controller.

  • No sound on Satellite M50, no matter what I try

    Hello.

I have a fairly new and intact Satellite M50 and its great others that I can't hear any sound at all.
    (1) I adjusted all volumes and assured that mute is not on.
    (2) no problems in Device Manager
    (3) I tried Fn Esc
    external volume control 3) completely
    (4) the problem started when I unplugged (or plugged in) external speakers to the headphone jack, somehow this which seems to be invalid cell phones, speakers, computers that worked very well until the external apeakers were attached.
    (5) on another thread, I noticed that there is a switch inside the headphone jack that disables the speakers, is there a way to check if this is the problem and any way to fix.

Any help much appreciated as I am a student and I really listen to conferences stored on the laptop.

    Thank you
    Dominic

Please connect the headphones or external speakers to the headphone jack.
If the sound is displayed then the sound card and audio driver are ok and that there must be a problem with the switch inside the plug headphones.
Maybe the switch inside the phone plug stuck

I put t think that it of possible to detach this I think that the plug needs to be replaced.
But to be 100% sure, you should ask someone with more experience as technicians service partner

  • No sound in Satellite Pro P200 with XP

    Hi all.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro P200 with Windows Vista preinstalled. I removed Vista and installed Windows XP with Service Pack 2, due to the incompabilités with some software I need. Almost all of the necessary drivers for XP (even a downgrade to BIOS) was downloaded and installed from Support from Toshiba web page. But there are still two devices that I can not install. At the start of my laptop it always detect "* Microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio *" and "* controller memory PCI - Chip for logical Cache Flash in Intel (r) *" as new hardware and they appear marked in yellow in the Device Manager list.

I installed the last bus Microsoft UAA for high definition audio driver for XP from Toshiba and Realtek too... a lot of time and in different ways... Previously I installed the High Definition Audio Driver Package - KB888111 from Microsoft. But I still have no sound.

PCI memory controller - Intel(r) Flash Cache Logic Chip: the same... tried the drivers the most recent Toshiba one Intel too. Toshiba technical support told me that this unit is ready to run on Vista and have suggested me to try with Robson drivers for Vista Support from Toshiba's web page, but that didn't work either.

I googled a lot, searched this forum and called technical support, as I said, but I've not found a way to solve these problems. Really, I can't believe I bought a laptop that only works with Windows Vista, I resist assume this idea, so I continue to try and try to make it work properly with the operating system that I need and I have chosen freely.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance.

You're on right way boyfriend, you must also install another patch MS; KB835221
So finally the KB888111 and KB835221 must be installed before you will follow with the audio driver installation.

    Check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums//thread.jspa?MessageID=113124

Toshiba technical support told me that this unit is ready to run on Vista and have suggested me to try with Robson drivers for Vista Support from Toshiba's web page, but that didn't work either.

The problem is that this unit only works in Vista.
The controller memory PCI is that intel Turbo Memory, also called Intel Flash cache logic chip also called device Robson.
It's quite new technology designed to support the new features of Vista.
There is not driver for it for Windows XP because XP doesn t supports the function of cache, it is supported by Vista.

    Hope I could help you

  • No sound on Satellite A300D-126

I recently got a sound promblem with my Satellite A300D-126 part number: PSAK4E-00X00JG3. It is said that my devices are ok, but I don't hear anything from them.
Any ideas to solve the problem?

    What do you mean exactly?
You can't hear sound coming from the generation of speakers?

Did you notice the same problem when you use the headset/hradphones?
Did you check the sound options? Maybe the MUTE option is enabled? Check it by using the FN + ESC key combination.

  • Re: Sound on Satellite A30-514 problems

    Hi all

I recently bought a used Toshiba Satellite A30-514.
I checked and got everything works except the sound and wireless WLAN. I learned that with the wireless, there is no card so that I hope that the problem has been resolved.

    Now to the sound issue.
I checked all the way through the sound settings, try the things usual e.g uninstall Realtec AC97 audio and sourcing the driver on the Toshiba site and install again, although when 80% through it causes an error while it just goes right to 100%.
In the Device Manager it happens now with the yellow exclamation point and the properties now show that this device cannot start (code 10) location: PCI bus 0, device 31, function 5.
It comes up with no device in the sounds and audio devices.
I tried upgrading the bios (already the most recent) and tried to uninstall and reinstall, but does not work on anything!

Please someone help ive spend a whole day faced with my brain, but nothing helps, I hope that someone had the same problem and knows more to help, I will be much appreciated if you can help.
    Thanks in advance guys!

  • WinXP Conexant Sound/Modem satellite P300D driver problem

    Hello

I have a strange problem with my Installation of XP. I had to reinstall XP two days ago because there no periodically starts.

In any case on my new install, I can't install THE Conexant drivers, who would be the modem and audio driver. I need the modem, so this isn't the important point, but the sound is annoying. I've been trying several drivers I found on the internet but none work, they all complain to the facility, there is that no devices found which would correspond to the driver.

The strange thing is that I was able to install these drivers, when I installed XP about 3 weeks ago... I have no idea what the problem is now.
Both devices are displayed as "PCI Device" in Device Manager. What is interesting is that the Instance ID of the devices device do NOT correspond with those who are in the files of the driver... maybe a problem with the chipset drivers, who pack things?

    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance :)

Have you installed the chipset drivers?

Are all the other devices in device not installed Manager?

Have you downloaded the correct driver for the P300D, not the P300?

Then I tried to install a later version of the same thing that was on the recovery CD and I would get the same message again. Moreover, after any new installation of Windows XP, Virtual Sound works OK. Please someone had the same problem and could you give me a solution.

  • Sound on Satellite Pro A30 plays very well, then disappears

A satellite Pro A30 for two years. A few months ago, the noise began to cut. It always returns when I reboot or restart. And sometimes, he remains well overall!
I tried reloading Realtek program but that didn't make a difference.
Also recently subscribed to iTunes and wonder if it is to have an effect?

    Any help much appreciated

    Hello

The problem occurred before that you subscribed to iTunes?
Maybe a 3rd party software has a bad influence on the sound properties?
It's not easy to say why it happens because we don t know what you have installed on your laptop.
However, you should check the Toshiba driver download page and here, you must download and install the driver of his most recent.
Check also the AC97 Audio configuration in Control Panel.

    Hello

I recommend you to roll back the OS to the beginning.
You can use the system restore which is part of the Windows operating system.
I guess you have removed or replace some settings or files and restoring the system must bring these parameters at the beginning.
