AIM after reloading Vista
Since reloading Vista and AIM and initiate the microphone on AIM, I hear the other party when they talk, but they don't hear me?
Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

The upgrade of vista activation window
I have a HP computer I bought several years of 'NEW '. She had the window XP by HP with a key code on the side of the computer for XP. Later, I've updated with windows vista, which was more stable and safer. My computer is turned off and I couldn't have managed to restart. First, I tried the vista upgrade disc and he told me that I had to use the original windows XP to perform a recovery. Since the windows XP has been installed by HP I had to use the original recovery discs, I did when I first bought the computer. Then I had to reinstall the upgrade to vista. Now to my problem: I tried to activate the vista, but since it was installed by HP there is no activation wizzard, so I used the prompt "Activate now" and he asked that I enter the code I did and he said I have used the original key not upgrade code code. So, I am entered in the key for the windows XP code he would accept either this key code. I called the Microsoft Support Center and tried to get help. Finally, I need to talk to a technical support and he said that I'd give it an activation number that is indicated in the "Activation Wizzard" which I told her that I don't have the "Wizzard" because it was installed by HP. He said he couldn't help me and hung up on me immediately. Then, I called HP to see if they could help me get the activation number that Microsoft wanted to. They said that my computer was more guaranteed and could not help me, but could give me to another group of service that would charge me aqpproximately $60 to help me. I told him everything I needed was the GOOD key code for the window they've installed on my XP computer or tell me how to enter into the computer to confirm that the key code, they gave me was correct or not. He asked for forgiveness, but my computer was out of warranty. I bought two operating systems of windows for this computer and have two key codes and neither one of them can be activated. The key encoded on the computer is provided by Microsoft and key coded on the Vista upgrade is provided by Microsoft, so why can't the operating system activated by Microsoft. For both companies CUSTOMER SERVICE leaves much to be desired. I have spent a lot of time getting this system to the top and re - install the other software that I had to go through all of the upgrade again. I don't want to not all over again if I don't get the Windows operating system that is activated before the end of the time and the system shuts down again.
Hello
It seems that the Windows Vista product key has been blocked, so you may need a new product key.
You can keep your Windows Vista DVD at hand & contact Microsoft Product Activation Center for assistance.
Hope the helps of information.

Considerations for the host of the upgrade of Vista HomePremium for Win 7
I have a large 64-bit Vista HomePremium PC as the host operating system. I've got VMWare Workstation 6.5.x running as an application on Vista and it supports two computer called Windows XP (essentially nothing else that VMware is running on the host).
I think the upgrade to Vista from readings elsewhere. Assuming that succeeded, it would be an appropriate next steps approach?
Re-install the VMware Workstation application on new host (Win 7)
point this VM Workstation application newly installed on the definitions of existing virtual machine (GER) for Windows XP 2 clients
I'm sorry not to use better terminology in my question. I hope my question makes sense for a VMware guru. I have a bit of memory on the use of the MS Virtual PC 2007 product and I think I understand the concepts but my terms are probably passing offshore for VMWare.
Other ways to address this issue are:
is there a list of audit planning things to do before you change your host operating system while you are a user of VMWare Workstation?
is there a special version or service pack for VMWare WS run on a host Windows 7 (64-bit) machine?
jjamjatra wrote:
Thank you for your comprehensive reply and suggestions. As I answered Naki, know nothing about the intentions of VMWare on the 'official' support for Windows 7?
Official support for Windows7 as a host and guest will be included in VMware Workstation 7, which is currently in version beta (in fact it is now at the stage of the Release Candidate).
VMware comment on dates for the next version, but my guess is that 'soon' is based on the fact that it is more listed on the page of Beta here: http://communities.vmware.com/community/beta

Plugin Flash races to come, has no sound, since the upgrade to Ubuntu, why?
After update Ubuntu 11.04 to 12.04 (64-bit), embedded videos managed by the Flash plugin race advance to the download speed, totally ignoring the clock. They are also silent.
Found the problem. It is an odd. Research in the application of the Volume control (not sure if it's one thing to Gnome or Xfce - desktop is Xfce), he showed that he was failing to try to play the audio stream through "Redwood HDMI Audio" due to a Radeon video card in the system. Turn off sub tab Configuration and having integrated Audio together the appropriate (in my case) audio analog stereo sound restorations that it fixes the problem Flash video--race to advance.
What is crazy is that the video should come race due to an audio output doesn't work. How could Adobe have never programmed Flash with this addiction?
In any case, it appears that in the cycle of upgrading Ubuntu insisted on bring back the HDMI audio in game. Which had been set correctly - off - before the upgrade. I have HDMI to my monitor, but its speakers are analog.

I was "forced" to upgrade my computer to SP1 to SP2 when I tried to download the latest msn who.
The upgrade part wasn't serious and VISTA asked me to restart my computer after the upgrade. Then I REBOOTED.
The problem came when the final stages of the upgrade, which took part after reboot. It was somewhere near STADIUM 1/3 or 2/3 and then suddenly all blackened. I'm POSITIVEMENT SAFE that my computer is connected to the power supply (mine is a laptop). And then when I start to restart my computer (the second time), I got this message
0xc0190036 340/47122 (explorer.exe)
Then I restarted and I got to a page where windows told me that my computer is not able to be marketed with success because of the recent changes I made.
I did an upgrade from the night before, where I update the OFFICE GENIOUS sthsth (sorry, but I forgot the name). I need to upgrade this thing in order to be able to upgrade to SP2 (complicated huh? lol)
I tried to use the recovery thing and save the thing but WINDOWS insisted that I do not have a recovery... I would say is quite disappointing...

I ' ve done some searching on the web but found nth related code 340/47122 and VISTA HOME BASIC x 32 and SP2...»

We want to upgrade to Vista without having to reinstall all the software/programs, set up users, etc., on this computer.
This software "Advisor" we apparently will tell if we can do it.

The upgrade to Vista on Satellite M70
Hi all
Recently I bought windows vista Ultimate edition. I have a satellite M70 that was the sentence compatible vista under the designed for xp sticker/hologram.
I ran a compatibility test that said Vista Home Basic with my equipment is the recommended package!
I don't have that ultimate. I read views on the performance of vista ultimate, with people who use the same or similar configuration such as myself.
IM is really after some clarifications in the whole of the process and whether or not its recommended to install vista at all!
Only, I have basic computer knowledge, but have heard of people who speak a "second partitions" as precautions. More info on it would be also great.
Any comments would be great, thanks in advance
Dave
P.S.: I have 512 RAM, 1.7 ghz processor. Its processor intel centrino. 60 GB hard drive!
Hello
I tried Vista Ultimate on my M70 capable non-Vista and it works fine but extremely slow. My M70 only has 512 MB of RAM, and I think less than 1 GB of RAM there is no sense to install and use Vista.
OS works well. All hardware components are recognized correctly except SD card but I do not have much talk (not so important to me).
On the sheet music, I can only say that it is always recommended to create two partitions. For the operating system itself and the other for recording data. If you have problems to create two partitions, please write again.

The upgrade of Vista home premium for the company

I really want to install the version of Vista Enterprise there are many functions that Miss probably with the preinstalled vista home premium.Does anyone know a way to install without having to reinstall the entire system again?
Any idea?
THX.
sfloehleHmm, I assume that you will not need to boot from the CD of Vista Business, but you have to start the DVD of Vista Business running Vista Home Edition.
However, I m not 100% sure, but I guess that it s the same procedure like an update of Win XP Home Pro.
Best regards

The upgrade of Vista (32) for Vista 64 on m8120n (Media Center PC)
I want to improve my PC Media Center of Vista Vista 64. I noticed that HP has the drivers for Vista 64 on the site, very cool. Is there anything else I should be aware of when you do?
Is it possible to dual boot between Vista and Vista 64?
I do it mainly to take advantage of the 8 GB of RAM, I use in Vista. I have run a large number of VM and you can always use more memory.
Thank you.
The first thing to do is to make sure that you have all the drivers for your motherboard and all your external devices, in particular wireless adapter if you use one, The 64 - bit drivers for additional cards are not always easy to find.
Make an HP restore disc.
If you know how to make a picture of two partitions on your hard drive. This will allow you to restore your system to the exact state, {(avec tous les programmes et données intactes) it was before you changed it.}
Dual-Boot and even quad-boot is easy to do. Note that start between a 64 bit OS and a 32 bit OS is delicate due to the boot manager that uses Vista. There are a lot of upgradings on how to do it online. Here's a search with your query as the topic. Simply use the search engine of your choice to find.

G60-125NR of the upgrade from Vista to XP Pro drivers needed
Hello world
Details of portable illustrated signature.
I need to upgrade my Vista to XP Pro laptop. The HP site does not really provide any medium for XP as you can see here, it's just the quick launch buttons and the update of the HP software:
I have the software that is running vista other than the fact that I don't just not like vista used. I managed to get pretty much everything works under XP except for 1 driver missing in the device as Manager indicated below:
Video (VGA Compatible) controller properties > details shows PCI/VEN_10DE & DEV_0845 & SUBSYS_360A103C & REV_A2\4 & 15DBADC5 & 0 & 0058
So what I'm looking for right now. Although it would be nice to have all the correct drrivers for this pc run XP (some of what I have work cannot be what he really need).
What is the new slogan of HP? "Do the PC again" or something like that... lol. Well, I like mine with a side of XP and Linux would take the vista please.
If anyone here knows what I'm looking for the driver? And if anyone knows where all the correct drivers for this laptop (apart from the one to sell them on ebay) it may be easier to post links to them now instead of having to deal with this issue later.
Thanks in advance.

I have a laptop Acer Aspire with a screen 16:9 wide (15.6 "), it has the latest graphic drivers ATI and all operating system updates. After the upgrade to W7 (free upgrade with the purchase of the laptop) everything works wonderfully except all the games installed now not displayed in full screen, I get black bars on both sides, they used for Vista, but not with W7.
I already tried different settings in the games options, administrator, resolutions screen different, being run in maximized 'Vista' and 'Run' mode of the file properties dialog box shortcut and .exe. This happened without any security program installed that is not a factor.
I am at a loss.
This is to maintain the ratio l / h. It is how the images stretch. ATI no longer has the opportunity to play with the proportions for the sort of stuck like that unless you can find in your version of ATI Catalyst. It is in fact full screen as opposed to windowed mode, but it does not cover the entire screen.
You can try different resolutions within the application to see if it will actually make your apps full screen to use the entire screen. That's all, remains to be done. I don't know why ATI has decided to exclude this option because some people hate the black bars or hate the stretched images.
