I have an iMac using OS 10.6.8 with a Wi - Fi connection.  Because I can print it, it doesn't seem to be a wireless problem.

A few days ago the system downloaded an HP upgrade any (I wasn't paying attention).  I don't know if it's related, but now I can't scan.

    Hi jweswig,

If you have HP FF SW previously installed before moving to Mountain Lion I suggest to uninstall the HP software and then download and installed the new HP FF SW for your device in Mountain Lion.

To uninstall HP software start the application to uninstall HP in the folder Applications/Hewlett-Packard. Then restart the Mac and empty the trash. I also recommend to repair disk permissions. Open disk utility in the Applications/Utilities folder. Choose the volume with an operating system installed and first aid tab, click on repair disk permissions.

It is complete download and install the software from the following link: HP LaserJet Pro series complete Software Solution and pilot

Make sure that the HP installation wizard can complete successfully.

  • Why is scanning is no longer supported on the mountain for CM1312 Lion?

HP again shows that it cares about its customers.

Choose to not support scanning for CM1312 and many other printers under Mountain Lion (10.8) is an example of terrible business practice. I will never buy an HP product again.

And, no, VueScan (which costs $ 50!) is not a viable option.

    To goodbye HP. Never again.

    Hello

Although it is no longer officially supported, install the v10.7 software usually works as a workaround for my experience.

You try to install the latest version of the software 10.7 below:

Once launch setup of the file right click (or CTRL + left click) the HP installation program, then select open (which will bypass Geatekeeper software is not signed to 10.8).

Once having completed the installation try using scanning HP within Applications-file MFP HP Laserjet.

How can I get the 222dw MFP scanning via direct USB connection on the printer.  He seems to want to work through the network. Printing works fine, but it won't scan.

USB cable is fine, the printing, scanning simply do not.  Past 1/2 hour with HP technical support (it is hard to find, but once you do, they are useful), install the drivers somehow could not install the scan driver, did that, now the digitization of works.

  • no support for dv6768se

No update for the dv6000 BIOS

Careful, HP has turned to deception. I bought thousands of dollars worth of HP products. I recommend the purchase of HP in my official duties as a Director of engineering. However, I was disappointed by the performance and support in all cases. I have two machines where I couldn't write media to recover. The most recent is with my Pavilion dv6000 laptop. It has the problem of restarting which may be related to problems of overheating GPU NVidia. This is known issue and HP must have decided to let go without worrying about the goodwill of its customers.

The details for the latest incident are:

Seeking support, I called a number found on the site of HP. I was charged for the support of a partner HP from a foreign land only to make things worse.

They say that when I called HP they Mobile is unsupported and is obsolete. So, why is me she charged?

My flag will not re-start. The symptoms started he did a software update from Microsoft. The update restarted my system and suspension system. After a stop forced (pressing the power button for 5 seconds), I had a soft recovery screen. I did a restore and it restarted. It hung again. This time, the indicated recovery screen I couldn't move forward and to contact support.

I tried to get it back to the factory setting. This has seemed to work until I did the updates and tried to restart the machine. It hung again. I made the diagnosis of HW, but diagnostic tests indicated no problems. Analysis of disk of Vista also no problem.

Before I looked for support I found that instead of restart, if I made a stop, I could limp thought enough of the upgrade to Windows 7. However, the question remained, and she seemed to be associated with HW. That's when I called HP support.

First of all, I told them (ITechLine) was associated with HW and I didn't not need remotely diagnose my machine. They insisted so I spent a day watching a tech do the antivirus scans and scan disk. Later, they said they had solved the problem, but the technology that has been doing Diagnostics admitted that the original question seems HW and remains.

How I got the number of ITechLine from the HP website. May have been my mistake, and a better number could be found on the HP website. The loss of time can be, I think, a concealment deliberate by HP.

Later, I called enough people at HP (even in a foreign country) to find the HP had decided to abandon the support for my laptop and I couldn't support or portions of their share for this machine. The person said that the technology was obsolete. It is also darkening; Since a SATA drive for this my machine could be found for less than $50 and would have more than twice the capacity. In fact, I could buy a new memory 2 GB SODIMM, a new hard drive and a new battery for less than $90. Phone support charged $149.

I have a few web searches to find the GPU NVidia overheating problem was probably the cause. Then, I disassembled the laptop to clean the cooling fan. The reboot problem was considerably reduced. I can restart 5 out of 6 times, which leads me to believe that it is the GPU overheating problem.

However, now I can't use the optical drive to start the Windows 7 support. It does not show in my computer. Also, I can't write recovery media using the internal optical drive. I knew it is the bios, because one of the stages that I found on the web had to reset the cmos to the original. I see that is not the most recent. By going to the HP site for the update of the bios, I find that they no longer have the update and my machine does not get detected by their auto detect process. Forgot it that they did the laptop.

So, I have a laptop of brilliant almost new look that will not work and is unsupported. It is obsolete, even if the State of the industry has not really progressed for laptops. It is Wi - Fi enabled with a large screen and could run all the latest SW until 5 days ago. It is too light to be a doorstop good, so it is useless. All I can get from HP is denial, disappointment and a dress (with a foreign accent).

Being an EE, I thought that HP a tester has been great and that HP would be able and honorable. It's the end of an era.

Someone know where I can get the free bios update? It's not worth spending a lot of money after bad to pay for a service update of the bios.

Is there such a thing as Technical Support for Internet Protocol for computers? I got a call (Friday, September 10, 2010) a business (have the name and number) informing that they received our Support for Internet Protocol details and virus/malicious Trojan horses have been making my computer that caused our Microsoft programs down and they would help solve the problem.  I refused the offer - took the name and number (has managed to find the name/site of the company on the Internet).  The Internet provides support and they would use other companies to communicate with customers to fix their computers.  Either way, we ran a scan on the computer ourselves and found no viruses etc.

  • Mac osx support for photosmart premium c309g mountain?

I have a HP Photosmart Premium 309 g and recently updated for Mac OS x Mountain Lion.  While the printer still prints, there is no support for the scan function.  Currently, HP is not an updated driver for the new OS.  Any suggestions on how to restore my ability to scan?

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

Scan using Capture of Image in your Applications folder.

  • Why HP stop support for older printers?

I think that HP withdraws older printers to drive the faithful older users in the competition where they can get cheaper printers and significantly cheaper ink provides more to teach the old users in favor of that confidence is more HP to support any product for a long time so not we will choose for any new product.

Is there a different reason that you would care to inform me on?

As this forum software is "spamming" asking me to accept a solution, and I have not received a solution just an opinion, I post hereby my own solution.

My solution to the withdrawal of HP support is to take my two HP printers in a store of the local computer for recycling since HP sent their printer Vancouver WA in China manufacturing plant, quality of the new HP printers has decreased and since I can't find my original CD or download their full content of HP It's now time to change providers.   I rejected HP computers a long time ago, now all HP products are on my do not buy list.

I don't know yet what the printer manufacturer is best, but I want to buy items for the cost of the total lifetime by page.  Maybe Consumer Reports can guide me on a good scanner and a color printer.  Or I might have to give up a new printer and use the laser of color to the library because they provide for free to scan and color prints for 25 cents.

For printing black and white base, an old used Xerox Phaser I bought for $20 is to serve me well because its drivers are always available for download and cheap toner is available.  It also provides access complete fix - fo jams, unlike some printers.
