no visible vertical/horizontol scroll bars at design time

Hello

I use jdev 11.1.2.4.

How can I make scrolling vertical/horizontol bar appear during design time?

Thank you

Are you talking about the scroll bars in the visual page JDeveloper Editor?

If so - try and set the resolution of the Visual Editor from the drop down above.

I would recommend picking up of components in the component structure.

  • How can I prevent the right vertical scroll bar to disappear?

    In one of the changes made to Windows during the past two years, the vertical right scroll bar, which was visible all the time, now turns off after a few seconds of inactivity.  I find it very annoying.  Normally, I place the cursor on the arrow towards the bottom of the scroll bar so I can click on it to move around the screen while I read it.  But since then the scroll bar disappears after a few seconds, I click and of course nothing happens.  I have to move the cursor to get the scroll to reappear/reactivate bar so I can use, then position it on the arrow down and click.  Boring, boring, boring.  Why they did it default for this is beyond me, since the scroll bar is non intrusive and barely perceptible.  Microsoft seems to be more concerned about the aesthetics of function.  I wish they reassess their values.  But I digress.  Is it possible to place the scroll bar so that it does not disappear?  Or, at the very least, set a timer so that it remains visible for more than a few seconds?

    I upgraded my Mac OS 10.10.4 (Yosemite) and now I have no scroll in Firefox windows bar. I can use the arrow down to get a scroll bar to appear, but it is terribly boring. Even after I arrow down and the scroll bar appears, it will disappear after use. Is there a setting to have the visible scroll bar at all times?

    I suspect that it is a system setting. Scrollbars disappear was introduced in Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. See this thread to find out how to change the world: why the roll bars quickly disappear in firefox on OS x 10.9?

    Humm that's just weird - scrollbars yesterday, no today - after further investigation its an option under "system preferences" on Mac. Since I have not touch the "system preferences", I do not know why the scroll bars should disappear all of a sudden. After selecting the appropriate setting now, they are now back - is just like when the machine suddenly decide just to do his own thing.

    Hmmm... not sure how much more clear I can explain it to be honest.

    Insert your mouse cursor on your page where you need the scroll area to appear.

    Then switch to code view. You should see your flashing between two cursor|tags, (table cell)

    Where the cursor is flashing type in:

    Then insert all the content you need to scroll in the 'wheel '.

    Your scrolling content to go here

    Then, copy the css below and paste it into the head section of your page directly before the closing tag to the top of our page.

    Change the width and height of all that suits your needs.

  • long pull down the menu with no vertical scroll bar

    People,

    It's been 3.5 years ago when we had to learn that there is no way to have a long drop down menu control without a vertical scroll bar. See

    Now, after that we got LabVIEW 8.6.1 there is still no the ability to remove the vertical scroll bar if there is a 'Vertical Scrollbar Visible' property node for the drop-down list boxes. As already observed in 2006 with the drop-down list 8.2 LV Smercurio, this property node has no effect, probably because of a bug. This behavior is always the same with LV 8.6.1.

    A few days ago a user of our software have complained that the menu items would be missing. In fact, they were not, but rather he oversaw the scroll bar and do not scroll to the bottom of the column - that's why it did not find the menu items. In general, it's pretty annoying if you have to scroll first before you can select a particular item. In most cases, the scroll bar is all just useless since the Panel is large enough to display all menu items at the same time.

    How do you design a long drop-down menu on your UI? Any ideas how to get around the scroll bar mean?

    Sorry for the lengthy post. I'm afraid that you have to use the vertical scroll bar while reading my text...

    Thanks for any input,

    I think that's what you're asking.  This works for any named digital control, and I think a small change will be too much work for a drop-down list box.

  • move the vertical scroll bar in a table

    Hello

    In my VI front panel contains a table of results with the visible vertical scroll bar.  When the program runs a performing a test, I am inserting a line every time the captured result.  The row is inserted in the lower part, and when all the visible lines are met you can not see the final result.  What I want to do is either focus on the last row to move the vertical scroll bar or move programmatically control scrollbar itself.  Is this possible?  If this is not the case, what is the property node that I need to display the last line of a table.  I have inserted the data at the top of the table, but this isn't really what the standard application programs do!

  • force the scroll bar vertical table

    I have a control which is an array of enums. I show only a single element. LabVIEW will allow me to display a horizontal scroll bar. I need the scroll bar to be vertical to match the other controls and LEDs on the front panel. LabVIEW seems hardcoded to prevent me to display a vertical scroll bar on an array with a single element showing. frustrating.

    I think that there is a bug in the way the dialog box manages the selection/deselection of scroll bars that a person OR you participate on this conversation and "Send" to have a CAR # assigned.

    I don't think being able to have a vertical scroll bar on a 1 d array that is sized only for 1 item maybe not a bug, but a design by programmers of LV decision.  Perhaps because a vertical scrollbar on the controls of normal sizes such as strings and numeric values would be too small to be usable.  But for larger paintings such as a cluster, why not?  I would say that a scroll bar is more intuitive, when there is no room for it.  Generally, it looks like that elements of tables 1 d as being lines, so a vertical scroll bar would allow you to roll the lines upwards or downwards.

    Be able to use a vertical scroll bar must either be added to the CAR/report bug # for dialog box problem, or maybe, you should present the product suggestion Center as well.

    Work around a possible would be not to use the scroll bar on table, but let down your own scroll bar vertical on the FP and nodes of property allows you to set a range and value of this slider to set array shown using his property node index.  The event structure should probably be used as well to manage a change event of value on the scroll bar.

  • TREE programmatically set vertical scroll bar

    Is there a way to programmatically control the position of the vertical scroll bar of the TREE. I've looked through the nodes of property and do not see it. Thank you...

    The closest thing I know is to call the Visible ensure invoke node on a specific item tag. Who will ensure that the node can be seen in the current scrolling selection. So you can call it on a particular tag to access a particular section. This has other side effects, such as the expansion of the section that contains the node you call it, is not an ideal way to scroll position.

  • Move the vertical scroll bar of the Panel to the left of the Panel

    I have a skin Panel with the following:

    <s:Scroller id="contentScroller" height="100%" width="100%"
                     horizontalScrollPolicy="off" verticalScrollPolicy="auto">
        <s:Group id="contentGroup" width="100%" height="100%" minWidth="0" minHeight="0"/>
    </s:Scroller>

    For the life of me I can't understand how to move from contentScroller to the left of its container.

    I tried setting contentScroller x, y, up, left, down, right, the properties height and width to different values, but what I have in the extract seems to be the only way that it appears at all.

    Based on the research, I tried this in the script of the skin:

    override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number, unscaledHeight:Number):void {
        super.updateDisplayList( unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight );
        if( contentScroller.visible ) {
            //contentScroller.verticalScrollBar.x = 0;
            contentScroller.verticalScrollBar.x = -contentScroller.verticalScrollBar.width;
        }
    }

    Or lines in the if block makes no difference as to where this thing is rendered.  Here's a screenshot of my Panel:

    crap.JPG

    And here's what I would do:

    crap2.JPG

    Thanks for the research!

    I found a solution.

    I removed the code in the script block and I went back to a scroller in the mxml.

    I thought that I could set the vertical scroll bar by creating a skin based Scroller.  In the generated file, I saw this:

    Scroller unconditionally sets its skin's layout to private layout
    implementation that handles the scroll policies. Scroller skins can
    only provide replacement scrollbars. The skin's layout and
    constraints or dimensions set on skin parts will not be honored. To
    gain more control over the layout of a viewport and its scrollbars,
    instead of using Scroller, add them to a Group and use the ScrollBar component's
    viewport property to link them together.

    So I then changed my skin Panel to look like the following:

    Finally, I added the following to the script block for positioning controls correctly:

    override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number, unscaledHeight:Number):void {
        verticalScroller.left = topGroup.height;
        contents.left = verticalScroller.x + verticalScroller.width;
        super.updateDisplayList( unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight );
    }
