All my songs are upgraded using mp3gain and play at the same level on my computer.  But when streaming, the volume is in every sense.  Push me bananas!

Tried the Sound Check and while I note that all the songs now sound more calm, the volume between tracks still differ as before.  I have not yet found a rhyme or reason to which his songs more or less than.  Does not appear to be linked to the question of whether a song has been balanced or not.  I also tried each song tags mp3gain stripping and stripping all BUT tags mp3gain and doesn't seem to work.

So, is there a solution?  Someone at - he found a motive or reason for the difference?  I love everything which relates to the product but this.

He is not an Apple product. You should talk with the developer.

  • How to set the recording volume in itunes.

A few songs to read the normal volume in the car. Others, I turn the way car volume up.

In addition to Sound Check. Have you already discovere, you can change the volume level individually for each song.

Select the track, command-I to open get the Info window. Switch to the Options tab, and then adjust the Volume slider.

Not all apps honor this setting, so test with your workflow first, before spending too much effort on it.

  • Volume adjusts at random. Cannot control the volume with other software, ie iTunes.

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-7000 Quad. The music playback volume goes up and down. Also, I can't control the volume in itunes or winamp. If I turn the volume in itunes there for a while, but back down. When I turn the volume to 1% in itunes, it says there for a few seconds and it slowly rises to the top.

I tried a lot of things trying to get this problem resolved and spent over 2 hours with HP tech rep:

1 uninstall the audio driver, restart, install the driver.

    2 bios flash

3 reinstall the sound driver using HP Recovery Manager

    4 Windows repair.

    5 Chkdsk

The only thing that worked was

Uninstalled the audio driver in Device Manager and is looking for new devices and installed windows automaticlly refreshment and it fixed the issue... * beep *? I had my helmet in the decision-making when the driver installed.

  • SMB or afp for itunes?

    Hello

    I have a problem...

I use a synology NAS to my itunes library (4 TB of data to date, videos and music). I don't know why, my library files are on two volumes "iTunes" on my desk:

    • SMB://DiskStation/iTunes,
    • AFP://DiskStation._afpovertcp._tcp.local/iTunes

When I look at the names of files in iTunes, some are in a volume of itunes, the others are in a volume of itunes-1.

It drives me crazy; my files are spread over 2 formats and I don't know what to do. iTunes is already hard enough.

I would like to have own unique access, how should I proceed?

Thank you for the compassion ;-)

back to iTunes seem not intended to be used in a NAS configuration. People do this, but it seems to be a little chance sometimes to how it behaves.

  • Low volume with ATV play through external DAC

Sent my father a FiiO D3 DAC for Christmas so they can listen to iTunes radio and internet through their second generation Apple TV (ATV) to their stereo. The ATV works fine connected to the TV, but they don't you sound on the receiver when the TV is turned on. And the volume is very low, too low to be tuned.

I read that the ATC sends signals over HDMI and the optical ports, so I assumed that the TV would not need to play.

Y at - it a parameter that we lacked configuration that is necessary?

I had confirm them the volume on the computer source (iMac) all the way to the top, as is the cursor of volume on iTunes.

And also had spread them on the ATV from an iPad, again with beams completely volumes, and the experience was the same play as the iMac.

    Help is greatly appreciated.

Users have experienced different results when you try to use the Apple TV for audio only. Some have found it works well, others have found that they need to have the TV on get audio and others have found that they need the TV to start with, but may turn off when the audio starts to play.

I suspect these variations result from the type of connection that the TV offers and therefore may vary depending on the make and model of TV.

Regarding the volume, I can only suggest that there is a problem with the CAD itself. Apple TV sends an output line only, it not there no option to control the volume.

  • Cannot connect to iTunes Media folder on another volume during synchronization.

Whenever I try to manually sync my iPhone (iPhone 5, 32 GB, iOS 9.2.1) via USB with my MacPro5, 1 (OS X 10.10.5, iTunes current 12.x, 48GB of RAM) I get an error message (-54) that iTunes can't connect to the volume that contains the iTunes library.

The Tunes library is located on a RAID volume, separated from the volume 'system '.  The path of the volume is specified (and has been re-specified) on the tab 'Advanced' in the iTunes preferences.  The path to the iTunes folder is Master/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/iTunes.  (There is an additional media 'MP3' folder in the folder "iTunes Media" he thus.)

Note, it ia a comment harsh in the Advanced tab, that it is best to place the follder iTunes in /Music on the users on the system drive folder / startup.  It is not desirable in view of the size of the music library.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

There are several things that you need to understand your current situation.  The iTunes library file is a database that keeps track of you iTunes media.  It sets your iTunes library.  It is usually called iTunes Library.itl.  The iTunes folder (in your folder music startup disk user account) is the default location for the iTunes Library.itl file.

Then, there is your iTunes Media folder.  By default, this folder contains all the files media real iTunes, classified by iTunes in subfolders by media type, artist, and album.  The default location for the iTunes Media folder is also in your iTunes folder (in your folder music startup disk user account).

A common option to move your iTunes out of the startup disk data is to put your iTunes Media on an external drive (or network storage) folder while keeping the file iTunes Library.itl on your startup disk to the default location.  To do this without iTunes lose track of your media files (where they are), set a folder iTunes Media vacuum to the location target.  Change the location of the designated iTunes Media folder in the Advanced iTunes preferences pane to point to the new iTunes Media folder.  Then tell him "consolidate library" so iTunes copy your multimedia files and organize them in the new location of the iTunes Media folder.  This command is to organize bar menu-> file-> library-> library-> Consolidate files (checkbox).

NOTE: The iTunes Advanced preferences pane, the TWO check boxes to keep iTunes Media folder organized AND copy files to iTunes Media when adding to the library folder to check (unless you have a specific reason not to).

ANOTHER common option is to copy your folder full of iTunes (with the iTunes Media folder and iTunes Library.itl file) for the external storage, disk, or network manually (using the Finder).  Then, use the option to open a different iTunes library

Open a different iTunes library file or create a new - Apple Support

to select the iTunes Library.itl file to the new location.

The main difference is the location of the iTunes Library.itl file.  The iTunes Library.itl is frequently consulted and updated by iTunes.  If it is on the network storage (with the much slower access compared to a directly connected disc speed), it can adversely affect the performance of iTunes.  Therefore, the first option described above may be preferable, by storing media files on the network storage for the file iTunes Library.itl on the internal drive.

In your situation, the iTunes Installer is used?

  • Audio cd extraction problem with iTunes 12.5.1

Using the latest version of El Capitan 10.11.6, end 2012 iMac i7 processor.

Installed iTunes 12.5.1.21 the other day and now bad rip the CD itself. I tear like Apple Lossless with correction of error checked and have never had any problems before. Some I just new Herb Alpert CDs in the mail and each of them seemed to rip OK, but two starting to jump on other securities when read.

For example, torn "Summertime" and the two-lane 1 jump during playback. I tried playback on the same ripped files with VLC, and they ignored in the same places, so it must be a file problem not just reading. Then I tried to play the CD with iTunes and without tearing, and it plays very well. Yet once torn and same problem. Had to extract a few tracks on "Volume 2" several times and they finally played OK. "" I think with error correction that this could not happen. Glance CD clean. In the past I had trouble with ripping a CD and still found a crack in the plastic and iTunes would not rip in this case.

All the old files ripped off until I upgraded 12.5.1 plays perfectly just like always.

Any suggestions? At the moment, hoping that this is a problem of system and the Sierra with Take Care of it.

Me again with further troubleshooting. You wonder now if it's a hardware problem. With the help of a 4 year old Superdrive Apple USB. Tried to rip to my MacBook Air with the same drive, but using iTunes 12.4 and had still tracks will jump on playback. Put the CD into the stereo of my wife, and she played it perfectly.

Confuses me because I thought (with correction of error during the rip) that if there is an error with the player, he would refuse to rip at all or to freeze. I agree that iTunes did freeze twice during a tear in the disc, but after having tried seemed to work OK.

  • Disorganized iTunes Media after moving to NAS

    Hello

I have moved my iTunes for Synology NAS library and am maintaining the logical structure of the different media files.

On the NAS, I created volume 'Media' where I moved to the iTunes library and where I want all kinds of media to reside and to share with others (Synology, Plex) apps. This volume is now the default iTunes media folder.

I have relinked the library in ITunes without problem and can see everything as before, but when for example I am adding new content to music to iTunes (with 'Keep media' and 'Copy media in the iTunes folder') organized checked it lands directly in the 'media' instead of ' Media /Music"." Why and how can I solve this problem?

I want to keep the structure of file like this:

    Media (volume)

    -Music

    -Artist name

    -Album name

    -Movies

    -Name of film

    TV - series

    -Show Name

    -Books

    -Etc.

Is this possible? Is to select a volume than the main iTunes folder of media app messes things why?

It seems OK, I had to «Organize library...» "after moving and all the orphaned files have been moved to /Music they belong.

I think I like iTunes a little more now

  • IPod Classic reeked havoc on my iTunes!  Help!

    Can someone help PLEEEEEAASSSSE?

I kept my iTunes library on an external hard drive Lacie for recent years.  From time to time I simply opened my iTunes library, music new dump in and re - sync my iPod classic.  A week ago, I did this and got an error during the synchronization.  The iPod is really old, almost complete, but still works.  Nevertheless, I had to stop the sync, restore the iPod and regain sync.  I did it and everything was fine... or so I thought.

A night or 2 later I went to play a song on my iPod and noticed he wasn't there.  In fact, a very important (and random) part songs were gone from the iPod.   I went into my iTunes library to check and found a large number of songs with the red exclamation points.  I am aware of what that means and has been able to reconnect broken links which gave me about 200 songs which did not work.  The rest seems to be completely DISAPPEARED from my library.  If I go into the files of the album all that remains album files work... NO SONG NO FILES.  I did a spotlight search of title on the HDD for the songs and nothing.  What the * happened?  Miss me him more than 2000 songs.  Very random too.   Some albums have half songs left, a few 1 or 2, some not at all.

Even weirder, is that if I connect to my iTunes library that sits right on my macbook (which is much smaller, but it shares some of the same songs) on a song/artist will play for that whole part of the alphabet.  For example, the song "Blue Sky" of The Allman Bros plays almost each piece separately in the section "A" of my library.  We go to a Beck song for all the songs of 'B' and so on.  Something bad happened?

It could be my madness, but I swear yesterday as he tried everything to flow back to the previous libraries to change my main media folder location, which for a second that I did something that made all these songs to work again.  While I had that on the screen, I selected all the good work tracks and thrown on a flash drive to dump if all goes well in to my iTunes corrupt and all library set. I did, and none of the tracks that I've just spilled on the flash drive appeared.  A bunch of other tracks were there, but they were the songs that I didn't need to fix.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

    HELP PLEASE!

    -Kirk

Since this problem noticing, you have restarted your Mac?

iTunes, media synchronization is from iTunes library to iPod, so it is unlikely that the iPod "reeked havoc" on your iTunes library.  More likely, there was (existing but undiscovered) on your external drive and sync data corruption caused the problem on the iPod (a week ago).

Run disk utility, select the disk volume (indented under the player) in the disk utility sidebar.  Click first aid.  You can also do the first aid with the drive selected in the sidebar, but a problem is more likely to be detected by checking the volume in this case.  You can also check the internal drive of the MacBook.

You use Time Machine to backup your user data?  If this isn't the case, you are using other backup methods, such as cloning?
