No wireless driver appears in Device Manager
Wireless worked very well. The next day, it shows only an Ethernet with an x through it. Wireless at all. I went to Device Manager and it says I have no drivers. Went to the Recovery Manager and found the Atheros AR9285 adapter drivers and tried to reinstall those. Still, the device manager says I have no drivers for my wireless. Presario CQ62
Hello:
Try this.
Unplug the USB Belkin adapter and download the latest drivers for your laptop's internal wireless card. You can download it on your friend's cell phone, copy it to a USB stick, plug it into your Notepad launch the driver installation file and see if it installs.

I'm having serious problems here. My CD/DVD-ROM drive is not detected and will not answer. I can ONLY open the drawer at the beginning of my computer laptop startup. The drive does not appear in my computer and the category of CD/DVD-ROM does not appear in Device Manager. Therefore, the "uninstall/reinstall" is impossible if the computer behaves as it has never been this drive now or never. Previously, I was able to use it as there was no problem, but someday, it's simply not there.

Webcam does not appear in Device Manager
I have a model of portable pavilion G62-233NR windows 7 64-bit, with a built-in webcam. YouC'm software was bundled with it and worked. Now the webcam is not found by one of the video programs AE Skype, Youcam... etc...
I also noticed that the webcam does not appear in Device Manager. I tell me that I have to reinstall a driver for it but do not know what driver to install. HP has the following availble drivers for my model but which? If one of the pilots was labeled "webcam", the task would be easy. I hope because the driver is missing in Device Manager that has installed a driver will set missing cam... I'm worried because I don't see a driver named "webcam" in the list... but what else could the problem, how can I get the driver installed, if that's the problem.

I also tried the regedit solution, but I have no upper or lower filters...
I use a hp dv6815nr! Help, please!
Very respectfully,.
GK07
I thought I had posted the solution. The upper and lower filters need to be refreshed. Here is a solution I found on the Adobe forums. http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/402/kb402306.html
Refresh the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry.
Warning: The registry contains information on the system that are critical to your computer and applications. Before editing the registry, be sure to make a backup of it. Adobe does not provide support for problems that result from incorrectly modifying the registry. Adobe strongly recommends that you have experience editing system files before you modify the registry. For more information on the Windows Registry Editor, see the Windows documentation or contact Microsoft Technical Support.
To refresh the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry:
Important: After you refresh the list of drivers in the Windows registry, you may need to reinstall any other CD or DVD on your computer to write applications. If you restart Windows after this procedure and other burning CD or DVD applications do not recognize the CD or DVD drive, and then reinstall those applications.
- Uninstall your Adobe application.
- Open the Registry Editor:
- On Windows 2000 and XP: click Start > run. Type regedit in the box text open, and then click OK.
- On Windows Vista: Click Start. Type regedit in the search text box, and then press ENTER.
- In the left pane of the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class and select the {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} key, which appears as a folder.
- Select file > export (Windows XP and Vista) or registry > export a file from the registry (Windows 2000).
- In the export registry file dialog box, select the branch selected under export range, name the file (for example, CDDVDkey.reg) and click Save to save the file to the desktop.
- In the Panel to the right of the registry editor, select the LowerFilters line, and then choose the editing command > delete. Click Yes in the dialog box confirm deleting key.
- Select the UpperFilters line, and then choose the editing command > delete. Click Yes in the dialog box confirm deleting key.
- Close the registry editor.
- Open the Device Manager:
- On Windows 2000 and XP: click Start > Control Panel. Double-click the system icon, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
- On Windows Vista: Click Start > Control Panel, double-click System, and then click Device Manager in the task pane.
- Click on the symbol more then to CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives.
- For each listed DVD-ROM or CD-ROM drive, select the icon then choose Action > uninstall.
- Restart Windows.
- Windows will automatically detect and reinstall your CD-ROM or DVD - ROM drives. You can check that the drives are installed in the device (see step 9) Manager. If the drives are not present, open Device Manager and choose Actions > Scan for hardware changes.
- Reinstall your Adobe application.
- Restart Windows.
Important: If this solution doesn't solve the problem with the application you reinstalled, then you must restore the CD and DVD drivers list in the Windows registry.
To restore the exported CD and DVD drivers list:
- Double-click the registry key that you exported.
- Close the registry editor.
Restart Windows.

HP Pavilion G6-1215ex: could not find "Wireless adapter" in my device manager.
Hello.
I recently formatted my HP Gseries laptop and reinstalled all the drivers. Towards the end of it, I couldn't find my adapter wireless listed in my device manager. I can connect to the internet via a connection fixed but the Wireless does not exist. When I try to install the wireless driver, the Setup program cannot detect the wireless network card. I tried the following, which none has seemed to work:
Turned on the wireless devices. Bluetooth works. Wi - Fi nope.
Checked for possible compatibility problems drivers.
There was something a little "unrecognized network controller" in the "other devices" category, which I assume is my wireless adapter. Therefore, I have included the hardware below id if this would be of any help. Please help me find the appropriate patches for my problem.

Windows 7 Pro. Dell desktop computer.
My integrated card readers (there are 4) do not work. They do not appear in Device Manager. They do not appear in the computer.
In Control Panel > programs and features > I uninstalled the Realtek card reader. Then installed latest version of the Realtek site.
Control Panel > troubleshooting > hardware and audio > configure device > says hardware changes could not have been detected.
Tried system restore, but it failed.
What should I try?
Thank you

I had a problem with my touchpad for months. The synaptics touchpad driver is installed but the touchpad does not work and does not appear in either (just my external mouse) Device Manager. . PROGRAMS AND FEATURES
DEVICE MANAGER
Hi @decyferme,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
It's a great place to find answers and suggestions!
You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the HP Forums.
How can I find my model number or product number?
I understand that you had a problem with the touchpad for months because it is not responding. Although the driver is listed in programs and features in the Device Manager is not listed.
Have you checked for virus and malware?
Have you done all Windows updates?
Have you tried to run the troubleshooter in Windows?
Did you run HP Support Assistant to facilitate updates of HP?
First you would try this step. Some models, you can enable or disable the touchpad by double clicking on the top left corner of the touch pad. Please see if it is applicable for you.
Then in Device Manager, view hidden devices and search the hardware changes see if the touchpad now will be seen.
Here is a link to the HP laptops - use and troubleshooting of the TouchPad and ClickPad (Windows 8) that should help you too.
To say thank you for the reply, please click on the thumbs upwards the button below.
If this gave a solution for you, please choose the solution provided to help others to find.
Good luck!

I'm trying to connect to my external hard drive, but the auto test failed
and I know that the problem is not the cable or anything like this cause it works on other 2 computers
It won't work on my laptop

After that I did any suggestions? !Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.
Download the drivers to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them, from the card mother/chipset drivers, LAN, Audio, USB, Graphics, SATA, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

Game 360 wireless receiver does not appear in Device Manager.
Hello
I recently bought a 360 game wireless receiver for my laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)) (w / two usb 3.0 ports)The receiver came with an installation disk that redirect me to a download of updated driver where I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers (64-bit). After installing syncing controllers unsuccessfully. The receiver flashes green when I press the button and the controller detects the signal when I press the button, but she never settled in a quadrant to the light upward.I searched the internet and this site where people asked similar questions. "Most have solved their problem by following a step by step process that is to locate a "unidentified device" or a" ""controller common microsoft ' in the Device Manager. I think not or the other device, a manager.
It's my problem, I would be able to resolve the issue had the device in Device Manager, but this isn't the case.If anyone could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.Hello
This thread has been created in forum Windows 7 games; the moderation of Microsoft team has moved this thread to the Windows 7 Hardware and drivers Forum.
You try to use another USB port to see if it works or not, or on another computer to check if the receiver is actually working properly.
