noise of the film / lens flare in cs4?

Hello

There are years that I used to use the first 6 - real old school!

He had a great effect, listed in the Quick Time folder in video effects, which allowed you to add noise (random scratches) film and lens flare so that your movie looked like it had been fired on an old super 8 or something similar.

Now I have CS4, but impossible to find the same effect in there. Surely, it is possible to do it--they can't LOST influence the development all these years?

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

see you soon

Looking at my version XP of WMM (not Live latest version), I see Film, Old Age, Older and older, more Film Grain. Everything could be useful.

There are also the fixed effect of Keyframe > opacity to get 'twinkle '. If the 'flicker' go lighter, then just put a cover of color (white) on the images on the video Track 2 and 1 video track, then apply these effects of opacity for retouching.

If you consider "aging" in Pr 6.0, you might want to look into doing an export from CS4 and work on that. Something as DV - AVI Type II should be fine, but perhaps even using Lagarith Lossless CODEC (if Pr 6.0 supports, and I think it will), then Pr 6.0 export to Lagarith.

If you use WMM, you do similar, but I doubt that it will address Lagarith Lossless CODEC (might want to experience) and then export as Type DV - AVI, I. This file should import into CS4 fine, although it is slightly different from the DV - AVI Type II. A possible problem might be the video and the Audio goes OSS (Out Of Sync), but when this happens, it is usually static OOS OOS dynamics and not, so it's easy to fix. Another workflow would be to export as Type DV - AVI I and use a conversion program (many of those who are free, like Prism) to convert to DV - AVI Type II.

One consideration is that since the ultimate quality is not what you want, don't even worry about something as Lagarith Lossless, as slightly more degradation might actually help you reach your goal - old Film.

Good luck

PS - in addition, the effect > Strobe might be useful?

  • Lens Flare, sample size?

Is it possible to increase the size of the sample "Lens Flare"? I tried to put a couple of stray light on a photo I'm trying, but the sample is so small, I don't see where the flare is in liquidation until I click ok and the shows of flare in the photo (and is one mile off the coast)

I need to know if there is a way to enlarge the 'sample' or get round to show in the photo so I an see where place exactly.

I found several other windows 'samples' are much too small to do any good... surely, there must be a way to enlarge?

    Hello!

If you want the positioning perfect pixel in the filter Lens Flare, mouse over the section you want to position, view its X, is set in the info panel (make sure that it is set in pixels).

Now start the lens flare filter and alt + click on the preview to be able to enter in the X, position Y.

Aside from that, you can generate a lot of light and reflections by stacking multiple effects and working with duplicates of the layer - extract the highlights using levels or threshold, apply the directional blur etc., coloring with Ting, Tritone or Colorama, apply a layer of mixture of modes to the source...

  • The "green dot" lens flare in the iPhone 7 / iPhone 7 more

I wrote on 'green point' lens flare issues I have with my iPhone 6 Plus. See Green dots in the iPhone 6 more photos - it's something that can be fixed? photos, for example.

I was hoping that this problem has been resolved with the new iPhones, two years later. But as I see in this review of the iPhone 7 - http://www.techconnect.com/article/3122614/iphone-ipad/iphone-7-review.html?utm _ source = Sailthru & utm_medium = email & utm_cam... - if you look at the car first two photos, the author shows 'green point' stray light is present in the iPhone and iPhone 6s 7 photos.

So I'm disappointed to see that this problem has not disappeared.

Does anyone know if this is also the same with the iPhone 7 Plus, which has two glasses?

Just wondering if any iPhone 7 more users have been able to test this.

Before the upgrade, I would like to know if the "green point" lens flare problem that exists with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, 6s iPhone more and apparently also with the iPhone 7 also happens with the iPhone 7 more.

It has a system of different lenses, so I'm curious to know if this problem persists or not.

  • PSE11 - can I increase the size of the preview window when you use filter > render > Lens Flare?

    Hello

I am trying to create an image on the theme of Christmas in Photoshop elements 11.

There are four candles in the image, and I want to add a subtle touch of light parasite the flames of candles.

My problem is that the preview window that appears when I select the Lens Flare filter is incredibly small, and it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to accurately position the effect:

    http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u625/SteveStrummer1962/PSFORUM1.png

I noticed that some filters and effects have big enough insight or zoomable windows or even show the effect changing on the original image, but the preview for Lens Flare window allows any of these characteristics.

As a rather cumbersome, I go through this procedure:

    • Create a layer duplicated my image and then hide the background layer
    • Select a small area of the upper layer around the spark plug/s
    • Select Inverse and delete the rest of the layer
    • CTRL + D to deselect
    • Now, if I select the filter, it displays only the small selection instead of the entire image
    • Add the effect of Len Flare/s
    • Display the background layer and Merge visible layers

Please tell me there is a way to increase the size of the preview window, or a quick workaround better/more solution than what I'm doing now...

Thanks a lot before any advice

    Steve

    A faster solution would be:

    1. Select the area you want to add to stray light. For example: in this case I would choose the candle using the marquee tool.
    2. Run the lens flare filter.
  • Lens Flare color change.

    Hello

I was just wondering if it is possible to change the color of the Lens Flare effect?

If so, how? The default color seems to just stay on white (something like that lol)

    See you soon.

It's who's going to tint the underlying clip, too.

To the OP, try this (I'm assuming that you are on CS4):

    1. Create a black video clip and add it to a track above your background video.
    2. Add flare to the black video clip and edit according to your needs.
    3. Add an effect of correction of color of our choice; Tint can work very well for what you want to do, or Hue/Saturation: Dennis suggested.
    4. Rotate down the opacity for the black video clip and change the linear density (add) or screen blend Mode; they'll both knock out black, but one will be "clearer" than the other.

This will allow to color the stray light, but will not affect the video background layer. If you are not on CS4, after return. There are other ways around it

  • Soundtrack of the film only partially downloaded from iTunes.

I downloaded the movie Deadpool to iTunes and when I watched it, the noise stopped completely around the label of 27 minutes. I went Apple chat and they arranged for me to download the film to new kms without extra charge, but it's the same thing. The second person I spoke to on cat said that there are a few issues with downloads of films in Australia, but the issue was being developed.

Does anyone know if it's resolved?

I have the same problem in the United States. I am trying to download two TV episodes (I bought the season earlier) and the downloads are very slow, and then I get a message saying that they can not be downloaded. Then I reactivated the download and after five minutes, the same thing. One is about 50% of fact and the other 20% of fact. When I re - activate the downloads, they don't start again but continue where they left off. I guess I'll keep doing that until they end.

  • Camileo H20 - strange noise throughout the video

    Hello.

I today received delivery of my first camcorder, which as the title suggests, is a Toshiba Camileo H20.

Overall, I am impressed with this little camera, but there is a problem that concerns me. After reviewing a video of test, I created to see what the quality was as I noticed a strange sound throughout the video. I struggle to describe, it's a bit like static/interference. The thing is that I already have some tests to find out what could be the cause of it, and I found nothing. Again, the camera records audio as usual, but this static/interference is there with her.

At first I thought it's maybe because I'm close to electronic devices such as a TV and a PC, so I went in my new garden and filmed there, but noise persists. Then I covered the microphone to see if it makes a difference, but it didn't. I also tried different video modes, leaving the camera on a desk to record walking around a room and then I even resorted to transform a sound recording off altogether. The strange thing is that the camera has always been that noise when I play the video on my computer even if no sound is registered.

I have a slight suspicion thinking he made this noise if the camera is moved. But if I remember correctly it makes the same noise when it was not moved on the desktop.

Someone at - it ideas on how to solve this problem? Preferably not by reference. I would like to, but I don't have time because I'm going on vacation next week and I want the camera to do this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I have no idea why this strange sound appears, but I found in the manual of the user an interesting point.
You can disable and enable the sound of keyboard and operating noise.
In Submenue setting, press the button to go to the audio menu. Use the left/right keys to select ON or OFF. Press the menu button OK to validate the settings.

The other point is that you said that this noise appears when you play the video on your computer. Maybe it's just a s codec problem.
I remember that the sound on my movies created with the HD cam is really strange questions wore on the package of codec missing on my laptop. In addition, the player didn't manage HD sound.
I chose the stereo settings and then the sound was ok

I'm not very well if this might be a reason in your case but it s m worth a try
Check the sound configurations and try to install some codec packs too

  • The zoom lens compatibility

I have an EOS REBEL G and want to know if a vivitar 75-205 macro zoom lens 22005946 No. is going to work on it.

If you are looking at a manual focus zoom Vivitar 75-205mm F3. 8 - f4.8... This was done for the old Canon FD lens mount used on FTb, AE-1, a-1, F-1, etc. of the cameras... Serial number #22xxxxxxx you mention strongly suggests he is a FD lens, made by Kiron for Vivitar. If this is the case, it's probably a very nice lens, but...

No, which cannot be used on any EOS camera (film or digital). These all use the modern EF mount.

I did a search and did not find any Vivitar 75-205mm in the modern mount. So I think that what you're watching is the old FD mount and the answer is 'no' (this is probably why it's so cheap).

EDIT: there is a 75-300mm lens Canon EF that sells expensive and will work on a g of rebels. It is not the best lens optically or for general performance, but it is one of the lowest cost since this seems to be your biggest concern. This can be purchased for as little as $115 (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-EF-III-Telephoto-Packaging/dp/B00GEE8I1Y/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=13910997...). You might be able to find it for less used.

  • Reduce the noise from the projector

I'm new to first items 10 and plan on some of my first projects making the transfer of some sound Super 8 films on DVD and the web. I have the film loaded into Premiere Elements but I notice that some have noise from the projector in the background. I have them done with microphone of the camera, pick up the sound from the speaker projector since I have no way to save only the sound alone.

I did have a lot of luck with the help of audio effects to reduce noise. So I was wondering if anyone knows what I have to use filters. I want to reduce or eliminate (no chance of this, I know) the projector noise so that the voice can be heard better. Thanks to all who have advice!

I have books of Steve Grisetti ordered but I would like to do something on this project in the meantime. I do not understand how the audio effects change the audio, but I hope the books will give me a full understanding of them.

The removal of the 'noise' of an Audio file is usually difficult, hard work and often not that good. Yet, this ARTICLE goes into detail. Unfortunately, with noise audio, there is no "miracle cure".

In my case, my projector Eumig Dual-8 has a one line (DIN plug) and I just feed on my recorder or camera and in the latter case, select Line In, only to turn off the microphone.

    Good luck

  • Path of movement lens flare acting funny...

    Hello!

This is probably a silly question, but I have a gene with the rocket

path, I use in my project. The thing is that whenever I move the flare (create

a new keyframe), he creates a wide angle with its anchor pointing down.

    flare_anchor.jpg

This means that every time a new keyframe is created, I need to drag the anchor point

in the right direction. Quite annoying if you need to create a hundred people...

Y at - it a setting I need to change?

Does rely on what you do with the first keyframe?

    1. Click the effect name, Lens Flare, to select all the keyframes.
    2. Right-click on one of the key images.
    3. Select the spatial Interpolation > linear.
  • film test in FLASH CS4 problem

    Hello

I have created a graph on one layer in my timeline in FLASH CS4 and then add a new layer above it with the text to create a zoom effect. When I click on control > play the movie plays fine with text zoom out as it is supposed to, but when I click on the control > test movie film shows white with the text visible permanently and graphics flickering on (visible) and so fast that it is barely visible in the Sea (not visible). Any ideas on why the film of test does not work? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The kind of behavior you describe is often obvious when there is an error in actionscript in the file.  You have all code in the file?

It could also be a case of loop between two images, well based on what you describe, I see currently is the case.

  • Bad noise in the shadows in ACR

    Hi guys,.

    Here's the problem I have.

Until last week for conversions of RAW format, I was working with Digital Photo Professional of Canon (the software supplied with the camera). I have Canon 5 d. It was read RAW perfectly, giving a silent picture.

Recently, I adopted all-Adobe workflow, so I use Bridge to visualization, cab for conversion and PS for editing. But the problem is the next. Bridge and after in ACR on perfectly lit photo where I have a dark tones and shadows (those not underexposed, simply correct dark tones and shadows) in ACR and bridge preview I see bad noise colorful, something you would see when artificially increase the brightness in the shadows. This is the default setting, without changing anything in ACR (or bridge) in a blink of an eye, it is not visible, but it is very sensitive when compared side-by-side with Canon Digital Photo Professional insight and overview ACR or bridge. And its also noticeable when you view the shot at 100% size. Of course everything I see in ACR is transferred to Photoshop. Well most of the time I can get rid of this noise in the PS, but it is still disturbing because I've not known just as with Digital Photo Professional.

Could you guys please help me understand source of this noise, and how to get rid of. Thank you in advance.

My monitor is HP 2445, calibrated. Software Photoshop and Bridge CS4.

Pls give it a try with a lot less black. The shot is very clean, it works even with blacks = 0, but try it with 1 or 2. The default in ACR, 5, is brainless.

Because of this change, you can adjust the brightness and contrast to your liking.

Another question: the shot could be exposed 1 2/3 EV higher without clipping (but it wasn't underexposed in the sense that it would have caused excessive noise). I mention this only because you may not know, that ACR adds 0.25 EV "exposure" adjustment shots 5 d without displaying on the slider, thus creating the impression that the shot was exposed more high because it is in reality. (The setting is 0, 750 EV with 50 ISO, but never use with raw data, because it is simply overexposed ISO 100.)
