Non-operational data to Smartphones blackBerry service

I downloaded the free update for Shazzam and now get the above message when you try to open the App World.  I deleted Shazzam and still get the same message.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

The phone has rebooted after deleting Shazzam, but I guess that it does not work as well as pulling on the battery.  It works now.  Thanks for the help.

My storm was not able to connect to Blackberry services (browser, e-mail, instant messaging, etc.) for about four days.  Speaking with Verizon, they said it's a matter of Blackberry.  They had me go and re - save my table d ' hôte, which has not solved anything.  Services came about 2 minutes this afternoon and I received a cargo of e-mails, blackberry messages and messages from Yahoo messenger and then they dropped again.

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    If nothing, then:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackBerry services

I am a frustrated user of BlackBerry Storm 2 9550.

I bought the phone in the United States in 2008 and when I tried to use the Services of BB to the Kenya could not connect. The phone was carrier Verizon but unlocked. I was able to use the other features save for connection to the internet. But when I went to the United Kingdom, I was able to use BB services on Orange UK SIM card.

A year and a half later, I moved to the Kenya and I can't connect to the BB services again. I tried this with two different mobile service providers, but all in vain. I tried to reach the RIM to help, but my efforts were in vain. I need urgent internet connection.

If anyone can help me. BB Storm 2 without Services of BB is like having money in your bank account but you cannot remove it.

    Sincerely

    Josiah

Yes, the 9550 Verizon isn't always the best device for use outside the USA, since your mobile operator does not have the service books required to activate the browser. This is common for carriers in Africa and Indonesia for a reason, as there are a hundreds of messages in this forum since 2-3 years on this issue.

I do not recommend using Africa unlocked in 9630 9530, 9550, 9650 and.

From your device, you can go to Options | Advanced options | The host routing table. Select the "BOLD" entry, click the menu button, choose Save now. Later, you will get a registration message to your BlackBerry indication that the operation was successful.

Otherwise, you can log into the site Web of BIS of your operator and click on the button send Service directories

  • Smartphones blackBerry SERVICE BOOKS and BIS

Hi friends, I am new to this forum and I have a few questions. When I bought my 9000 "BOLD", I recorded for the BIS service in my country and started usewithout a problem. two days later, I saw an updated version on my mobile operator's web page and updated my BB as they did. After that, I cannot receive emails and can not find the option "internet browser" more. We had a lot of conversations with officers of the provider, they wanted me to reset the phone (did not work), load the old version (did not work) etc. However, the problem is still the same and I can't do anything. They send me the service books several times, but unfortunately I can't receive them. Yes, is there someone who can help or lead me to a solution?

    Thank you and best regards...

    Sezer

    Hello!

    I suggest the following:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > BBKey (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then it is back to the carrier - they are responsible for the delivery to you of the services for which you contract. If they can't do it, then your question must be raised through them.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Service Pack download problem

    Hello.

I am trying to display Asian characters in my "BOLD", but I have problems with service packs.

I have problems to download any service pack! I tried the Hong Kong packs and packs of AT & T but my problem is that the download is going really slow, suddenly stops and the file download is incomplete. This is perhaps due to the blackberry Web site?

I tried to download several packages, different suppliers, different days this week, even using different browsers (Firefox, Chrome), but it's not helping.

No idea what's going on? or what to do?

Servers without doubt just slow and/or you are login time-out.

There is no servers spread down that I've heard.

    Keep trying.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry to take apart and put back together.

No, I don't mean remove the physical device.

My company (finally) made me a Blackberry (Bold 9650) so I could learn to do things like it backup, restore and so immediately and (better) to provide technical support for others.

So, I would like to know:

    1. how to back up my Blackberry?

I have e-mails, contacts and appointments calendar and your Internet favorites.

Would I need (as I believe...) to connect the device to a computer via a USB cable and somehow save these items on the computer?

Is it a synchronization for this software?

    2 restoration

I guess I want to reverse the process above.

    3 secure wipe

Some time ago, in another section, I was told that it would probably be necessary, if a Blackberry into a movement of one BES/BPS server to another, to wipe the device and then turn it back on.

Wipe the unit would, I guess, delete the personal data, hence the master back to the top and restore operations.

What a wipe erases exactly (and what don't we not delete)?

    4. What is (re) activation after a wipe?

Wiping the Blackberry does include eliminating the activation information (I guess for that), it seems that I have to reactivate with my ISP (Verizon, in my case), correct?

Now, I won't do this 3 times a week, every week, but can I reactivate my Blackberry as I want? I just call Verizon like I did at the beginning?

Hmmm... I'm not sure on the migration of one BES to the other, but I know that a WIPE has no effect on the it policy. I don't know if the migration to an another BES replaces the policy of IT or not. Nevertheless:

Reactivation as with the carrier. For the Association, is a lack of prejudice no-fault to reactivate with them. Simply dial * 228 and select Option 1 (then again and select Option 2). You don't really have to call and talk to them because your BB is fully registered on their network the first time you activate... on CDMA networks, there is much more "hardcoded" into the network (where the greatest difficulty taking CDMA devices and use them on another CDMA network).

    I hope this helps!

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9900 data Plan does not work!

    Hi, new here, great site!

I'm from Canada, with Koodo and bought a unlocked 9900 opportunity, my neighbor via a Classifieds site, and as much as I know it was his business phone.
I wiped it it clean and improved the operating system to 7.01

I noticed that the previous service logo remains still (Rogers) during boot-up/shutdown, hmm, OK whatever he is working with Koodo.

I called Koodo to allow data, but nothing works. I called them and they told me to enter "bb.koodo.com" in the APN field with no username and password. Then to save the host Routing Table (he told me that he registered very well) but I did not receive a message. Also, we have removed battery and tried everything again. It still does not.

It is H + at the top right of the screen, but who has always been there.

She said that maybe the phone was restriction IP since I bought it used, and maybe BB Swiss Army tool could help me get off, but she didn't know how. So I downloaded and pushed some buttons (more precisely remove COD) and really messed up my phone... lol

Just reinstalled OS7.01 once again and fortunately had a fairly recent backup.

Suggestions for making data work, or do I need a new phone?

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Serious9900 wrote:

Let's start there, because who can be tricky depending on what exactly is meant by "business phone". Reference:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

Many of the steps can only be carried out by the seller... for example, if the prior carrier still has a BIS account allocated to that specific device, so no other carrier will be able to create a BIS account for her, and a BIS account is required to use wisely. As a general rule, a carrier will come out only the BB from the account when the real account holder made the request... and you will not if this situation applies.

In addition, if the device has been activated BES, you need to follow additional steps. Reference:

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If there is an IT strategy, then there are a special method, you need to remove it, but it will be successful if the BES server, to which the device has been set already has the removed feature of it... you may need to ask the previous owner about it. If this BES server was deleted, you can use this method to clean up the it policy:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

It is necessary to use this exact method... refer:

    • Article ID: KB16307 Actions performed by the BlackBerry smartphone during the removal of the user stored and application data

Now, with all these preliminaries of the road...

    Serious9900 wrote:

As you guessed, it's irrelevant. BBs are still originally designed for a specific carrier... and some of these contractual carriers with BB to place a splash screen of starting the device ROM, that can never be changed. But, it does nothing other that that unit was built for this carrier... but as long as all other things correctly, it is not serious at all.

But, to be clear, when you say "it works on Koodo", I guess that's your voice services? And are all now, you must operate your data services? If telephone services do not work correctly on Koodo, then it is useless trying to get data services going.

    Serious9900 wrote:

But now say you "nothing works"... should I continue to assume this are information specific to the data, and that telephone services continue to operate properly on Koodo? Sorry for being blunt, but clarity is critical or waste us time on unnecessary things.

When you say "he told me that he registered very well", which means exactly please? This means that he said something like 'Check pending', 'Record sent' or some other message popup? Once again, here the clarity is critical. If that's what you saw, then indeed it is not registered correctly. Rather, he made the application very well... but until the enrollment message arrives in the Messages application, then the intervention is required since the data network of the carrier did not and until it nothing for the data will be working.

Upper case H +? Once again, just double check, since if she was tiny, that it would mean something completely different from that of capital letters. Top of case, this is what it must be.

    Serious9900 wrote:

I don't know what she thought about it. May be restriction of BES and if the above process I gave you can purify that.

Never good to a few buttons when you don't know what you do... I don't remember if BBSAK is able to remove political or not, but it can do a very good cleaning.

    Serious9900 wrote:

And that could be part of your problems. If, for example, the device has one IT political edge, while part of a full process... which means that even if you happen to clean off, a complete restoration simply will return to the instrument, turning to your right back to where you started backup/restore. Instead, to do only a partial backup or restore, and more precisely to avoid data bases that have to do with THIS, political, business or something similar... the conservative approach is to only to backup/restore of critical databases you need (for example, contacts, calendar) and manually reconfigure the rest. Remove a policy is a tricky thing.

    Serious9900 wrote:

I think you have enough to start on top. Another question about whether Koodo, however, is if their network is configured to auto-fill your specific with entries HRT device model and service book. If their network is not, while actually explains everything. No carriers configure their network to support all models of BB... each one chooses a subset of the model numbers of BB and configure their network accordingly. But trying to use a model number BB on a carrier network that is NOT configured for this model results in number exactly what you live... their network will not automatically grow some HRT and SB entries on your device because their network does not recognize your device as a model BB number taken in charge.

Looking at a reference that I can find, it seems that Koodo is configured for the 9360, 9300, 8530 and 9790. But not for the 9900. Now, is that with a proverbial grain of salt... that reference does not necessarily mean that the network of Koodo is not configured for the 9900, it's just an indicator that is not. Koodo can only tell you that answer for you.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Smartphones blackBerry data plan

Why cant Blackberry devices to access internet without a data Plan?

This is because your BlackBerry works differently from all other smartphones.  When access you the data of another brand of smartphone, the data moves from the server to your phone.  When access you the data on your BlackBerry, it moves from the server asked RIM servers, where it is compressed to save on data consumption, then he is pulled out of your phone (it's more complicated than that, but I it simplifies).
For your phone understand how to manage this data traffic, she has downloaded for service books.  In order to access these service books, you need a specific data plan called BIS or BlackBerry Internet Service.  Without BIS, your phone does not know how to properly manage this data transfer.

Now, as JSanders said, you can always access the internet without BIS but with limitations.  If you want a full internet experience on your BlackBerry, get your provider BIS.

(JSanders is actually much better informed on this issue and can probably fill in the gaps I left).

    I hope that helps you.

  • 'Data Connection Refused' blackBerry smartphones turn off the notification!

Hello, I'm on sick leave for the next three months and my work doesn't pay for my phone, and I really didn't want to know how many emails are piling up in my Inbox, while I'm away, so I called AT & T today and cancelled my internet package.  So, right now, I'm only using my blackberry as a phone and calendar, tasks, etc.  There is a notification that appears on top of my phone that says 'Data Connection Refused'.  I looked through the options and I can't understand how to transform that turned off, any suggestions?

    Thank you!!!

This means that your SIM is not provisioned for BlackBerry services... which is obvious as your request to cancel your BlackBerry data plan. To delete "Data Connection Refused' on top of your device go Options -> Mobile network -> Data Service: Off.
