NOR-DNET parser problem

I use a card PCMCIA-CAN, series 1, first with NOR-DNET 1.6.2 and 1.6.3 now and I monitor traffic between an Allen Bradley SLC 5/04 with a scanner of DeviceNet 1747 - SDN.  The scanner MACID is 62, and the unit is MACID 1.  When I start it, I get normal Dest. Fields of MAC and the Description, as shown here:

If I click on the Red Square button 'stop', and then the green "run" button, I get the following results, with dashes in the two fields MACID if the source is 62 and go always in the Dest. field.  The description always says 'unknown '.  The PLC device and e/s continue to communicate normally during this period.

To clear this point-, I unplug the cable DeviceNet controller and plug in again - this always clears the problem and it starts showing the right data again.   Clues about what is happening?

This is an expected behavior in monitor OR DNET.

DeviceNet is a basic state machine Protocol. The parser need the message of setting up connection to know what a CAN ID is linked to a connection of IO.

Figure 1 works well because the parser also captures the message of establishment of connection and the following messages of e/s or EM. So, it can analyze a package type and detailed information.

Figure 2a of many "unknown" because the Analyzer only captures the following messages of e/s or EM without the connection message. (Notice: parser won't 'remember' the last message of setting up connection after a new 'start capture'.) It ensures that the state machine is supervised in a State of cleanliness).

The key to this question is always to capture the packets including the wiring diagram. The safest way so start to capture before your scanner DeviceNet starts to work.

NOR-DNET Analyzer supports the logging of large file. You can connect a large file and analyze the messages by filtration or research.

  • Support of NOR-DNET for LabVIEW 2013

We currently use OR DNET 1.6.6 with LabVIEW 2011. I installed LabVIEW 2013 now also on my computer and tried to synchronize all of the drivers with my installation of LabVIEW 2011.

Well, it seems that NEITHER-DNET does not support LabVIEW 2013, at least officially. compatibility of Version of LabVIEW and NOR-DNET indicates that NEITHER-DNET 1.6.6 supports 2011 NOR-DNET 1.6.7 2012 LabVIEW and LabVIEW.

The list NOR system driver November 2013 set OR DNET 1.6.7 defined pilot. When I try to install it, there is no support for LabVIEW 2013.

My question is, if there is a plan to include support OR DNET for LabVIEW 2013 or later in the game to pilot?

I copied the directories vi.lib\DeviceNet and vi.lib\nidnet of LabVIEW 2011-2013 and I can load my programs without any problems. I always did not build an executable and does not run on the test set-up, but projects can be loaded in LabVIEW 2013 without any screws of brocken. should I expect any problems running LabVIEW 2013 with the NOR-DNET to 1.6.6 and 1.6.7 driver?

    Nick

There should not be problems but it is a former pilot, we will not be updated for the future version of labview.

    Nick HY,

No, it is defenitely not a replacement yet and I will work with our Web Department who make clearer on our web page.

The development of the new API is pretty well done, but based on your feedback, we are planning to improve compatibility, so you can for example use the old APi 1.6.x and the new APi of 8532 on the same machine, so you can use the old and the new material on this same machine. Which would be important for you?

For the moment we intend not to allow only one type of material on the same machine to save you development time. Let me know what you think.

To clarify the situation today: The InCOM for Devicenet component is not part of LabVIEW. It's just a very simple means of communication with the I/o variables and blocks of function for the MS. The driver should install fine even without installed LV. The error message is quite a Bug on our side, and the solution would be to use the Builder installer LV to create a new installer that can install 2.0.x Incom Dnet driver without having installed Lv.

And today, you should be able to have the 1.6.x both pilot 2.0.x in parallel and use the API 1.6.x with old boards yonce and the variable approach of IO 2.0.x with your new Board of Directors.

I'll keep this post updated as soon as we have a stable Beta available I'll post something.

  • NOR-DNET Eurotherm Mini8 output buffer

    Hello

I'm working on an application in LabVIEW with a card OR-DNET and EuroTherm Mini8 controller, who interviewed 80 bytes and output of 48 bytes input.

I have everything started with EasyIOConfig (feeding it the right size of I/O), indexed management device, passed between them in a While loop.  Inside the While loop, I have reading DeviceNet i/oand Write DeviceNet of e/sand their diet with Convert of DeviceNet readand convert to DeviceNet write, respectively, with desired for the specified byte offsets.

Reading works perfectly.  I ache to write to an output.  I wired a pointer to the data line goes to Write DeviceNet of e/s, (which should give me a read buffer of output, right?).  I have the first 8 bytes of address.  Outputs in the 8 first bytes work, 8 bytes and are gray and do not meet the entry.  Entry for Byte 42, writes data on 4 bytes for a reason any.

I played with him for a while, tweaking of different things.  At one point, I was able to address the first 14 bytes, but the shift did not do anything - he just put data I16 entry sequentially in the output buffer.  Tried to use different types of data to set the offset, reload the drivers or DNET, no dice.

I build the EXE from a PC running LabVIEW 8.6 (no card DNET) and it works on another PC with card DNET and the installed hardware, if that makes a difference.

    Any ideas?

Solved by sending an empty array of 48 bytes to the first convert to DeviceNet write.

  • Contact ID installation problem

    Hi all

I have a problem with the id of contact on the iphone 6 s

    Some info:

    IPhone 6 s/16 GB/Ios 9.3. (current recent)

    The question:

I bought this phone recently, I went to go set up touch Id simply by going to settings > Touch ID and password > type the access code in >

When I went I saw off iphone unlock and itunes and app store turned off.

I tried to turn it on, but it shows the touchscreen tutorial id for a fraction of a second and then instantly said "failed, unable to complete touch installation id. Please go back and try again. »

IV ' e tried to restart the phone and nothing.

Also where it says 'Add fingerprint... '. "it is greyed out and I can't type on it

It is not a question of cleaning anything.

I also tried to contact apple, it seems as if they don't understand the problem they tried to redirect me to this link

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201371

but it doesn't help nor solve my problem, I feel that this is a rare problem.

Thanks for your time, suggestions or advice are appreciated! :))

First, you must update your software to the latest version, 9.3.5.

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting steps recommended by Apple?  Reboot, reset, restore from a backup.

If these steps do not solve your problem, you will need to restore your phone as a NEW device, do not use backup at all.  Once you restore your device as new, and before you put applications or data on it, try again to configure the contact ID.  If that fails, you most likely have a hardware problem and you will need to bring your phone to Apple for review and likely replacement.

  • PXI-8532 DNET card is not detected in MAX

    Hi all

I use NI PXI-1031(4 slot PXI chassis). I have the following cards in the respective locations
    Slot 1 = controller PXI-8106
    Slot 2 = PXI-6259 card (I)
    Location 3 = card(DI,DO) PXI-6509
    4 = Card (DNET) PXI-8532 accommodation

Max (Measurement & Automation Explorer), I expect the cards above (PXI 6259, 6509 & 8532) to be detected under devices and Interfaces. But only cards and DIO are detected in MAX under deported systems > PXI > devices and Interfaces.
    PXI-6259 (PXI1 Slot2)
    PXI-6509 (PXI1 Slot3)

The unit net card, PXI-8532 is not detected in Max MAX shows / detects the DNET card?

In MAX, I chose the menu Tools > NOR-DNET > RT Hardware Configurations. Then a window prompt you for IP address of RT. After you enter the IP address, I pressed OK. A message appears that no device is found.

Can someone help me how to detect card DNET in MAX and make the configuration of the port DNET?

    DNET - 1.6.4 driver version

    Thank you
    Raja

I try to answer two questions:

    1. the new APUI is compatible with the former, but if you use screws with the old APi you need to replace the screws with the new. There is a white paper related to the download page and here it is again that explains how.

    2. the devicenet driver does not yet support the plugin for the view of the PXI chassis. It appears under devices and Interfaces, and the name is not editable either. Currently the driver uses the numbers in the order of detection if several cards are present.

Two things will look in our next version before the end of this year.

  • Wiring of connectors in LabVIEW 2011 problems

I've just been 'bitten again"by a wiring problem with a connector for a VI in LabVIEW 2011 (I've not seen this behavior in any previous version of LabVIEW to 7.0).

The question is this.  I (or one of my colleagues, who also noted it), run LabVIEW 2011 (August 2011 release), 32 - bit, Windows 7, 64-bit systems.  I have create a VI using the usual 4-2-2-4 connector of mires and connect the appropriate connector.  I save the VI, then drop it on a block diagram to use.

In another variation of this problem, the VI has fallen don't watch any connector or, if used to 'replace' an existing wired in VI with the same model of connector, "break" all the sons (because it has no connector when dropped on the diagram).  Reopen and reconsider the VI show that, indeed, the connectors are wired, but when I use the VI, the connector wiring is absent (the VI dropped watch without connectors).

In the second variant, all right, the connectors appear as expected.  But I then decide to move a connector.  I have open the VI to edit, make a cut of this Terminal and rewire to its new location.  The connector pane presents the new model.  But when I drop the VI on a block diagram, the connector is in its original location.

Restart LabVIEW, indeed restart the PC, does not change.  The only way to 'fix' this is to disconnect all terminals and a reconnect them.  A nuisance, to say the least, but also an obvious bug.

Has anyone else seen elsewhere?  I sent to OR, but it would be useful to know 'is it just me?' or not.  In my defense, I've seen this problem on several computers, all win 7/LabVIEW 2011.  I've also seen this with several LabVIEW projects.

I've attached a file with such a VI "buggy".  When you open it, you will see that the 'Length' indicator is wired to the top of the connector set page.  When I drop this VI on a new VI, however, the connector indicates coming out from the bottom!

    BS

I was told by an engineer NOR that this problem (a) is real and (b) has been fixed in SP1 release (spring) 2011 LabVIEW.  I have not had a chance to check this point, but (the trusting soul that I am), I consider that this problem has been a "Bug in LabVIEW 2011 that has been fixed in the SP1 Release"and therefore, I am prepared to mark this "resolved".

  • Print spooler problems and cannot install printer driver after Windows 7 upgrade (80070706)

I just upgraded from Vista to Win 7 Ultimate.  Once installation is complete, I tried to update the drivers and install the latest updates.  Everything worked except for HP LaserJet 4 L driver.  As a first step, whenever the driver tried to install it, the print spooler service may stop working, and the driver installation failed with error code 800F0246.  I then removed everything from the spool directory, rebooted and tried again.  This time, the print spooler service has not prevented from working, but the driver still does not work with error code 80070706.

I can't find the information for this error (80070706) anywhere on the web.  Any help would be appreciated.

More information: the HP LaserJet 4 L printer is connected via a parallel to a prolific USB docking cable.  Windows recognizes the printer as the IEEE-1284 device, but says it needs driver to work.

Update: I was able to manually add the 4L driver using the print server properties dialog box, BUT if I try to add a printer after that, I get "the print processor does not exist.  If I try to add a printer without installing the driver, I get ERROR 0 x 00000002.

Everything is running as an administrator.  It worked perfectly under Vista.

Thanks for these links, but these proposals did not help nor solve the problems.

After a long and painful journey through the registry, I determined that this workstation was already installed 3rd party software, called "Pharos".  Apparently, this software was redirecting the default print processors and was clearly not compatible with Windows 7, although the installation of Win 7 never mentioned a problem of compatibility.  Once this software has been removed, and all the remains erased from the registry, there is now no problems with printers or print spooler.

In the future, it would be useful that Microsoft has actually provided certain types of useful information when these accidents occur.  Cryptic error numbers and unnecessary event log entries did not provide useful clues.

  • Problems re-installing CS4 (Mac)

I have problems to re - install my "Design premium" software CS4 (Mac OSX. No problem using Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator, but I had the rarely need to use Acrobat 9 Pro and at the launch, I was asked for my name of user and password admin, then a window installation for the opening of the series number which for some reason any was rejected. I'm 100% sure that I have the serial number correct as it is the only one that I had when I bought the package and used to install the all-in-one only once.

After several attempts, so I decided to remove Acrobat and re - install again. The same problem.

So I ran the Adobe license recovery tool without this help, either. Finally, I gave in and decided to clean everything related to CS4, so I ran the Adobe CC cleaning tool (will also work with CS4) which actually disappear these CS4 applications. I noticed here and there several files from Adobe on my drive so I deleted manually those. Now I can't even the CS4 Installer to contribute properly. When I run it I see the next window appears briefly:

    checking.png

then, quickly followed by this error message:

    setup error.png

Then I tried to install CS4 on the admin account that was not as well.

Finally, I created a whole new and different admin account, but I got the same result.

The problem would be files that are left in a hidden place, I haven't looked inside? I used this same software on Mac with the same version of the OS (10.9.5) so it may not be a compatibility issue. Nor is the problem installation software as I have the original DVD installation, so I'm really at a loss. I also read similar comments in this forum, but without any suitable solution offered. Suggestions?

Edit: I also downloaded the Stand-alone Photoshop CS4 and tried to install that but got the same "exact profile system check" followed by "Setup error" messages above.

  • PXI-8532 vs 8461/D Devicenet master control

    Hi guys,.

We bought two units of PXI-8461/D cards to control ABB robots. We currently plan on adding duplicates of the current system. I scoured online and realized that there is a new map for Devicenet, PXI-8532. After consultation with the local OR here, I've been advised to stick with the PXI-8461/D, as there are always limitations (lack of features) on the PXI-8532 - but he was not sure of what were the missing features. This is because the new PXI-8532 uses a new set of pilot (NI industrial Communication, instead of NOR-DNET). Is this true? If so, may I know what are the limits.

    Please advice.

    Thank you.

We made a few efforts to provide an upgrade path for these new devices with our version 2.1 now available for download. The only limitation as for now, it's that you can't have two types of devices on the same thing, which is controlled by the same VI. But you can run your old code with the new maps for example base. See this KB for the upgrade of your code.

We will soon publish the version 2.2 of the pilot which will add support for the slave, the last feature that was missing in regard to compatibility with the old driver. Let us know if you need a beta versionavailable to use the support of the slave already.

So in summary, if you are using the old APi master support, you should be able to duplicate your system and use the new cards instead.

If you are having problems please let us know.

  • Videos of Facebook does not, Firefox 31 or 32

31 FF videos and Facebook had never played, so upgraded to 32 without change. After the update 32, Adobe Flash 15 current, cookies and cleaned cache, hardware acceleration disabled on the TOOLS, SETTINGS of FLASH and CONTROL PANEL and restarted with disabled modules - still no luck. It wasn't a problem with FF 28 nor currently a problem with Google Chrome.

Videos play on YouTube and other sites.

FLASH - SOLUTIONS "GLOBAL STORAGE SETTINGS".

I went to the control panel of the Flash site. It is considerably larger than the one that pulls up with a 'right click' the mouse on the video.
    [[Flash panel |]] http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html]]

I saved it as a bookmark to find my way back if necessary

I have "loosened upwards' a couple of permission settings and now it works fine.

One who actually work or not is the second folder, settings global storage and ticked the box - 'allow content to store data on your third-party computer Flash." The scroll bar is always set to 0.

I tried this on the limited context (right-click on the vidoe) LOCAL standard control earlier and no luck. There is nothing on the OVERALL setting Panel for it.

All settings are back to the original except for the one above on the second folder and it works fine. The second box, store common Flash components, has already been verified.

The video and audio quality is just as good as my local drive.

This must have happened with the last update.

Start your laptop and press F2 to enter the BIOS settings. Use F9 and set it to check and default settings, if the problem persists or not.

If Yes, restart your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu. Check if the HARD drive is listed there. If Yes, select it and press ENTER. Windows starts correctly?
