Installation of a copy Dell OEM of Windows 7 on an Asus motherboard makes the not genuine copy of Windows 7. Related Microsoft license copy of Windows permanently to the card mother Dell or an identical copy of this motherboard. I doubt that you can now get a Dell motherboard identical. You can buy a new copy of Windows.

Not authentic Windows after changing the hard drive
Hi, I got a genuine version of windows 7 on my PC, but the hard drive was too small. I bought a new hard drive and copied the entire former disk including the operating system on it and only use the new disk. I have now a message saying that my copy of windows is not genuine and I need to buy a new copy. Is it possible to validate my copy without having to buy windows again? I bought the PC with windows pre-installed, this isn't a product key. If I reinstall my old drive do I find the key there and type it on the new drive? is this so where is it located? My operating system is Windows 7 Professional.
Thank you
Barry.

Friend upgrade XP to windows 7. not authentic Windows message receipt. Buy Windows 7 and downloaded to "fix the problem". Computer crashed, but I got a new drive. Should I try install
Hello
So the Windows 7 machine is fine, but its also empty! That we can help you. The XP machine is another matter. If you want to upgrade these machines to Windows 7, and the minimum hardware requirement is met, you can buy discs of software of Windows 7 operating system for each machine (1 motherboard = 1 license for purchased software).
In addition, I highly recommend you reformat two machines for them to XP RID completely, not to mention viruses / malware. If you plan to update the two XP machines with own versions of XP, that's fine, but this isn't the forum for this, the Windows XP forum would be the place, go here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp?tab=QnA .
Thus, the machine to Windows 7. To take no chances. Allows to run several scans on the new machine. You said "didn't work any more", I suppose you can't start Windows, ways to correct? If so, the answer is a program you burn on a CD called BootMed; Download 64-bit here: http://download.cnet.com/BootMed-64Bit/3000-2094_4-75450831.html and the 32-bit version from here: http://download.cnet.com/BootMed/3000-2094_4-75448200.html (only use the Direct download link).
Once downloaded, burn it to a CD, load this CD in Windows 7 computer and ensure that the CD drive is the first boot device, restart the computer. This will load a modified version of Ubuntu on your system, which includes antivirus and anti-malware programs. Run and remove anything they find. When they have finished their trial scans restarting the computer without the CD installed. What happens now?
Post your results here and let me know how you fare.
Kind regards

Not authentic "Windows" problem
Story: My Dell Inspiron laptop has been running Windows Vista when initially purchased in 2009. Dell has provided a free upgrade to Windows 7, and this upgrade went well several years ago. Thus, the machine has been works well on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 for awhile.Don't know if this is important: a couple of months, I replaced the hard drive. I did a backup/restore image for the operating system on the new drive. I don't think that I was invited to return keys validation of Windows at this time here. I had no problem and the machine worked well after the replacement of the hard disk. Now, all of a sudden I get a pop up window that says "this computer is not running genuine Windows. However, my Windows is genuine!I tried to solve the problem by installing the WindowsActivationUpdate.exe, but will not install. I get the error message "update installation failed. Information about the error - 0xC8000247I tried to get the Windows product key (from the sticker on the bottom of the laptop) via Control Panel/system/change the product key but it says invalid key!Something is clogged to the top, but I don't know what. Thanks for any help you can provide.Thank you for your response. I tried several related suggestions and more did not help. That seems to have solved my problem of Windows Update is reinstalling the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver as suggested by george1009 in your third link above.
As for my Activation of Windows problem, I typed in the wrong product key. I entered the key on the sticker on the computer, but it is valid only for Windows Vista (original OS), but not for Windows 7 (current operating system). I found that my Windows 7 upgrade disk envelope and who had the key valid on it.Thanks again for your help. -
Build 7601, not authentic Windows. Can I change OEM Retail?
Windows 7 Home premium OEM worked very well on my PC at home built for 6 months or more. Then I started getting warnings that the version is not authentic. I bought the software from a reputable supplier and I thought that you had to use OEM on a new PC. I did research as much as I can on the subject, but I am reluctant to pay again for a commercial version. Can't understand why MS would allow sales OEM versions to the public if they can only be used by certified computer manufacturers? Is there something I can do? I don't mind paying a small fee if I committed a mistake, but not the entire cost.

This system worked before Windows 8.1 it has been upgraded to Windows 10 last year. It's my boyfriends computer and last night it kept getting blue screen dreaded with errors on his hard drive. He kept ignoring. Then, his computer's battery died and when he started upward, he could get a blue screen and act as if it would repair itself and would just start all over again. He was going in a loop. He did not know what he was doing, but searched on the Internet and ended up messing around any more.
Its installation was 850 GB HD 3 partitions, it was set up as a Raid was one the main C drive, one was the restore disc and the other hides. He changed the disk. He changed a few things in bios too, but I don't know exactly what.
The problelm I have right now, is that when that I boot without the USB bootable media, I created, I'm stuck at a screen that says there is no startup disk and no installed operating system and press F2 to run Diagnostics. When I run the diagnostics, just fine, no errors.
When I try to recover, repair, reimage or anything other that to reinstall, it goes back to the screen I mentioned above which does not allow me to do anything about this either, with the exception of past at the command prompt, which is X and not C. I did a dir/w and only seen the windows files are here , but under the users directory, documents and images are empty, so don't know if it's even watch what I think it is.
When I want to install Windows 10, everything goes smooth and then bam, he wants that pilots. I can't find the drivers for this laptop who don't have the .exe and require installation. This notebook is not a CD/DVD player on it. I don't mind doing a reformat and start all over, if I could recover his pictures on his hard drive. They are his grandfather.
Help, please!
Thank you in advance!
AggieFan378You are the very welcome.
Unfortunately, I woudn't be able to help you with that.
I'm afraid that the PC is now a useless paperweight because of the BIOS update has failed. There is usually no recourse other than to replace the motherboard.
If all goes well, you were able to recover the files before that happened, and if not, get a SATA cable adapter USB and read the hard drive on another PC.

Browser blackBerry Smartphones not working anymore after 2 years
Hello
I hope someone can help me with the following: after 2 years my internet browser no longer works on my BB curve 9300 (not via 3G, no WiFi). FB and Whatsapp still work.
Now my smartphone is only half of a smartphone, so I hope that your team of professionals will be albe to help me in no time.
Thanks a lot from the outset.
From what you describe, I can only deduct that the Service books never happened to your BB... and if you waited the hour and then restarted. And even then your services were not working.
Given this scenario, you next fall at what stage followed 3 in what I provided above... in touch with your mobile provider for formal support. Something went wrong turned into the connection between your device and your network of carriers... only they can watch their network to understand why this has happened and remedy.
It is true that, in many markets service BB/BIS costs indeed data plans more 'generic'... it's because there's infrastructure that the carriers and the BB must provide/support so that the exclusive services of BB to function. Non - BB devices don't use this infrastructure, and so in many markets the carriers can get away with paying more for it. But this price is set by carriers (not all markets have a surcharge for BB services... services of BB to sell at the same price as non - BB... it varies).
Good luck!

Computer does not load Windows after reset after installing HP-J6413
Bought J6413 all-in-one; the software that is installed according to the instructions on the CD. Attempted to restart after the installation, the computer hangs upward after shooting intself on and display the logo of the motherboard, does not load Windows.
Printer is off, did reset, everything was fine, Windows loaded etc. Repeat the action and came to the conclusion that the power of the computer with the printer off left (it's a fax machine, it should be all the time) or even reset the onboard computer after, say, install new software, prevents the loading of Windows on them turn on the computer.
Only possible mode of operation is to put off the printer, then turn off the computer, then turn on printer to serve fax standby and then do the same set of operations before turning to new computer.
Please refer to the manuals that you received for your PC and disable the "USB Émulation" and "USB devices starting" the BIOS settings.

All of a sudden not authentic Windows 7 prof
I received a computer laptop gateway by my brother in law in last November. It worked perfect until a month ago, when suddenly the screen went black and a message appeared in the corner saying windows was not authentic. I ran virus/malware and it comes up with nothing. I don't understand why it isn't authentic all of a sudden. last week he began to have greater problems; super slow, refusing to open the system recovery, open new downloads and won't let me not sign as an administrator. my brother-in-law would never give me a pirated version, and it was fine for months then I don't understand what went wrong. There must be malicious software that is not be picked up by the scan, but I can't try to disassemble anything because it now cannot me access to recovery, or important files. Help!

Windows 7 Ultimate is enabled but claims its not authentic, unchanged over the years!
Lenovo T60, 4 GB RAM, running on a 160 GB SATA drive, finally practically full. Bought a Seagate 500 GB SSHD, used the Seagate Disk Wizard to clone the drive through using a second hard drive adapter. Everything went a lot until the clone said that it has not been activated. Well, got out of the Windows 7 Ultimate package of disks and put in the key, and it validated and activated. A little later upward appears one Windows may not be authentic, and so I ran the tool MGADiag.EXE results:

Back to Vista after not authentic Windows 7 was installed
a friend installed a copy of windows 7 ultimate in gift, now is to show that counterfeiting;
I want to go back to vista, but it was removed from my laptop,
How can I download a copy of vista and use my original key to activate it, preferably without any cost more
Really, the only option is to contact the manufacturer of the computer and get a set of recovery disc for a small fee (no cost) to restore your system back to factory conditions. It would be a pure install so be sure that you have backed up your important data (programs, settings and updates will have to be re-installed). Another option is to find someone with an Installation disc full Vista genuine in the same size of the bit and use it to do the installation with your original key (assuming that the key was for a full installation - if it was an upgrade, you must install and activate the original operating system first and then perform the upgrade - you can not use a key to upgrade to a full installation).
There is no download legal, free Vista product from anywhere.
Here is Microsoft's policy on replacement software: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246/en-us. As you can see, it won't be a big help in this situation if you want to avoid or at least minimize costs.
I'm sorry, we can not help you more, but these are your options.
Good luck!

Laptop will not reinstall windows after the factory system recovery
So I have a laptop HP which is relatively new. I recently acquired the Virus 2010 Vista AntiVirus Pro. When the malware and spyware could not fix the problem, I decided to do a system restore, which would put the computer to the way it was when I bought it. I backed up the files and do the system recovery. He filled the recovery then said it will re-start to reinstall windows and complete the process.
After the restart as it gets and error that says: "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "ok" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. »
The only option is to click on 'ok', but after clicking it he is trying to reboot once again and the same error comes back. We tried to manually close the laptop and restart, but we always get the same error. I can get the start menu when the information system and the recovery is but to the past is just the mistake. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I don't know what else to do.

Problem with the HP recovery process, contact HP at the link above.
This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.
See you soon.
