Not compatible with 64-bit operating system CD

I have some old pc programs cd-rom that will not play on win 7 pro 64-bit.

Msg says error 32 bit will not play on my 64-bit computer.

I spent hours looking on the net.

Help please.

Try to make older in this version of Windows programs, see what the Windows 7 Compatibility Center says of this application, check with the publishers of the application on their site Web & try a search on internet about this to see if there is any solution suggested workaround [that could allow the application to run but with limits]

    Here's more information to consider before upgrading;

Before purchasing Windows 7, follow these steps:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

  • NOR-RIO 4.0 is not compatible with 64-bit LabVIEW?

    Hello

I have a 7841R multifunction RIO card.  I currently install the evaluation version of LabVIEW to test.  I've got 64-bit LabVIEW installed successfully and I had installed NOR-RIO 3.6 (which was on the disc that came with the card).  Trying to install other features (I think C to FPGA interface or something), I discovered that I needed NOR-RIO 4.0.  I uninstalled OR RIO 3.6, downloaded OR RIO 4.0 and now I try to install it.  I get the message a few steps in the process:

Important note about NOR-RIO of LabVIEW support (64-bit Versions)
A 64-bit version of LabVIEW has been detected on your system.  This version of the driver NOR-RIO support the 64-bit versions of LabVIEW.  However, this version of NOR-RIO is fully compatible with the 32-bit versions of LabVIEW installed on 64-bit operating systems.

Is there a NEITHER-RIO 4.0 version that supports the 64-bit versions of LabVIEW?  If so, could you point me to it?

Or do I have to install the 32-bit version of LabVIEW?

    Thanks for the help!

    See you soon,.

    Tom

    Hey Tom,

Unfortunately, we do not have a RIO driver that is compatible with our 64-bit LabVIEW Development software.  If you need to use the RIO driver, you must install the 32-bit version of LabVIEW and build your applications in the development system.  Sorry for the confusion at the start during the installation process!

  • I have HP DV6-1256tx, I want driver for my laptop compatible with the next operating system Windows 8...

Hello. I have HP DV6-1256tx, I want drivers for my laptop compatible with the next Windows 8 operating system. How to download, can somebody help me please...

Give me the link or something where I can download the drivers...

    Thank you

    Edriss Dave

HP does not currently have drivers for Windows 8. You probably won't need them. Windows 8 is not coming. It's here!

Just do the installation on a spare hard drive and bring the original HARD drive to a safe place.

. Windows 8 has drivers built in for most laptops and desktop computers. I did have to look for a driver in two facilities. One was an HP mini and the other was a Toshiba laptop.

  • RegReadString with 64-bit operating system

    Hello

Usually, I use the RegReadString/RegWriteString feature for read and write on Windows Reg system.

It works without problems on Windows Vista and Windows7 32 bit, but under WIndows7 64 Bit does not work.

    Example:

    #define WIN_KEY "SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion"
    iRtrn = RegReadString (REGKEY_HKLM, WIN_KEY, "ProductId", szBuffer, 256, &lSize);)

This example returns normally windows Product ID, but under Win7-64, I got error "registry values is not exist"(-5068). "»

    RegWriteString does not work too...

    Can you help me?

    Thank you

    Daniele

    Hello Daniele,

An important thing to realize when running a 32-bit on windows 64-bit executable, it's that all registration applications will be redirected by the Wow6432Node.  For some reason, Microsoft chose not to place the product identification information in the redirected location (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion).  Only 64-bit applications are capable of reading from the non Wow6432Node location, where the ID of the product.

Generally, the type of information you're looking for is better recovered through a certain type of script such as VBScript and WMI .  Until the CVI 2009 releases (giving you the ability to create native 64-bit applications) you can retrieve this information in the registry with an application of CVI.

  • Latest version of ios 9.2.1 is not compatible with my car audio system

    Hello

Since I upgraded my iPhone 5 ios to 9.2.1 my touchscreen on the audio system fly of my Toyota Prius no more answers when my iPhone 5 is connected to the USB port.  Toyota told me that I must try to downgrade to the previous version of the ios.  It's very annoying.

Can someone tell me what to do and how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Diane

You can not downgrade iOS, Apple does not support. I would check with Toyota once again to see if they have an upgrade of your system. Only they can tell you if they support iOS 9.2.1 for their system.

  • I can't log in as an administrator in my windows 7 PC with 32-bit operating system. What can I do?

I put my password to log on as an administrator.  When I restrart the computer and try to log in it asked me to change the password to connect. I did it. When I try to getback to my computer with the new password, it says it's a mistake. Now, I can not connect as an administrator. What can I do? And who is the administrator of a computer that I own. I'm puzzled. Your help please

I put my password to log on as an administrator.

I don't understand what you mean with this statement - please explain.

To recover from all that you have done, you can follow these steps:
    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before you did what you did.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

  • Looking to download a 64-bit Microsoft Virtual PC version that works on Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit operating system.

From what I've been able to 'collect', Microsoft Virtual PC may not be compatible with 64-bit operating systems, but if it is true, that I can't seem to find a version of downloadable copy of 32-bit that I can install on my HP Pro Book G3 450 who will install properly & appear in the "Programs and features" section of the control panel possibly listed as: "Windows Virtual PC.

NOTE: my laptop operating system is: Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit.

All the tips useful on this topic will be useful, & thanks, Chris Canfield.

Microsoft provides two specific versions, Windows Virtual PC 32 and 64 bit for PC running Windows 7 32 or 64 bits respectively.

You can use the 64-bit package to install and run 32 and 64-bit operating systems.

But you must install the package of law for your architecture.
